Something happened on this cruise vacation that I never ever expected to happen – I met my ex-girlfriends from college! Lola, Sasha and Charlotte. This was the first time I saw them since they all had to leave Spoonerville College.
Before I explain in full details about reuniting with my ex-girlfriends from Spoonerville College, I want to say that I even saw Mona for the first time since we broke up on this cruise as well and I want to get the details out of the way first. One day, after I finished doing a few laps in the swimming pool on the sun deck after a workout at the gym while Roxanne was just relaxing in our cabin watching a movie I didn't really fancy seeing on the TV, I saw Mona, wearing a strapless white bikini and dark blue sunglasses, relaxing on one of the sun loungers on the sun deck and she wasn't alone. She had two guys on the sun loungers besides her. On her right was Chad, one of the bullies I had to deal with when we were both at Spoonerville High School, and on her left was Bradley Uppercrust III, my archenemy from Spoonerville College. Chad was wearing yellow speedos and Bradley was wearing blue swim shorts. And Mona seemed to be very happy with them. I didn't want to speak to her anyway because I still hadn't forgiven her for what she did to me, but seeing my ex-girlfriend having two of my biggest enemies in my whole life as her boyfriends really added insult to injury and so I just went back to my cabin without letting her know I was on the same cruise with her.
It took me a while, but I managed to get over it and I realized that it could have been so much worse. Roxanne could have done what Mona did to me and that was what would made it even worse. I was very glad that Roxanne wasn't that type. And I did feel better for leaving Mona with her two boyfriends instead of speaking to her about it because I could tell that she still wasn't remorseful for what she did to me and if I did speak to her, she still wouldn't apologize to me and she would still try to further justify what she did to me. And I had Roxanne with me on the cruise and being with her always makes me feel better.
On one day at sea, while Roxanne was enjoying her spa treatments, I decided to hit the gym. I was enjoying my workout while listening to music on my iPod. When I finished doing a set on the chest press machine, I got up and I accidentally bumped into a lady. After I took my headphones out and apologized to her, I saw who she was – it was Sasha. She was wearing a purple sports bra, black gym shorts, white socks and white trainers. She was surprised and delighted to see me as much as I was to see her.
We did many exercises together, including the rowing machines, the cross walkers, the treadmills, the exercise bikes and push ups and sit ups on exercise mats, while we caught up with each other. Doing this with Sasha reminded me of all the times we exercised together when we were both students at Spoonerville College.
I told her what I had been doing with my life since she left for Peoria and she was very impressed with what I achieved in my life. Then I learned about what she achieved since she left Spoonerville College as she told me. She didn't leave her college in Peoria after she graduated because she got a job there. She started off as an assistant gym instructor and through the years she became the head of the sports department at her college and she still is. One of the things she was very proud of was to get her college to start female College X Games over there and they've managed to keep on doing it ever since. I told her how very happy I was for her and how very proud I was of her.
Then after Sasha and I finished our workouts, Roxanne had finished her spa treatments and that was when she met Sasha. I was worried how Roxanne was going to take seeing one of my ex-girlfriends from college, but there was no drama at all. Roxanne and Sasha greeted each other very well and started chatting to each other. I also met Sasha's boyfriend and future husband, Frederick. I was very worried about how he would react to see me, one of Sasha's ex-boyfriend, but he was cool and he liked exercise a lot and he owned a gym. It was nice to know we had something in common and the more we talked, the more I learned I had a lot in common with him. And he got on with Roxanne too.
One night, I was waiting outside the main restaurant for dinner – Roxanne was just putting on her makeup; she told me to go to the restaurant and make sure the table for us would be ready and she wouldn't be very long. While I waited, I saw another one of my ex-girlfriends from college – it was Lola! She was wearing a beautiful orange dress with orange shoes. Like Sasha, she was delighted to see me as much as I was to see her. Like me, she waited outside the main restaurant for dinner that night while her boyfriend had to take care of some business in their cabin, despite the fact they were on vacation.
So, while we waited for our partners to join us and for the tables at the restaurant, Lola and I got some drinks from the bar outside – I had some special coffee and she had a glass of red wine – and we sat to next each other and caught up with each other.
I told Lola about my life since she left for Duckberg and she was very happy and pleased with what I achieved. Then she told me what she achieved since she left Spoonerville College and this was when I learned that she graduated from Duckberg University and she was a licenced marine biologist and a very respected one and she had own our marine laboratory and she had been researching all about marine life and how it works and what can be done to save it. She had also been winning a lot of marine biologist awards and she had been writing books about marine life and she had been appearing on TV programmes to share what she knew, including Webra Walters. And she told me all about her wonderful boyfriend Arnold and how happy he made her. Then I told her how very proud I was of her and very happy for her.
Then Roxanne appeared and she saw me talking to Lola. Then I introduced Roxanne and Lola to each other. Again, like Sasha, I was worried how Roxanne would react to Lola, but, again like Sasha, Roxanne and Lola were cool and started talking. Then I met Lola's boyfriend and future husband Arnold for the first time when he arrived. I was worried how Arnold would react to seeing me when he learned I was Lola's first college boyfriend, but he was cool and we started to talking and we had a lot in common. And he got on with Roxanne as well.
Roxanne and I continued to talk Lola and Arnold because there was only one table for four left in the restaurant and we had to share, but we enjoyed each other's company and we all continued to talk while we had our dinner.
One night, Roxanne and I were going to see a movie on the big screen on the sun deck. I found two sun loungers for us to lie on and looked after them, while Roxanne went to get some frozen yogurt for us. That was when I noticed another one of my ex-girlfriends from college – Charlotte. She recognized me before I recognized her. And like Lola and Sasha, Charlotte was very happy to see me as much as I was to see her.
While I waited for Roxanne to return with the frozen yogurt and Charlotte waited for her boyfriend, I had a chat with Charlotte. I told her what I had been up to since she moved to New York and she was very proud of me for what I achieved during my life. Then she told me about her life in New York and that was when I learned that she was still living in New York (and she still does) and that she was one of the city's best ballet dancers in the history of New York ballet (and she still is) and that she even taught ballet dancers to become professional ballet dancers for the New York Ballet Company and that she was in a relationship with Freddie, the finical manager of the New York Ballet Company and her boyfriend for the last three years and her future husband. I was very happy for her and very proud of her amazing accomplishments.
When Roxanne arrived with the frozen yogurt, she saw me and Charlotte chatting. I introduced Roxanne and Charlotte to each other. Like Sasha and Lola, I was very nervous about how Roxanne and Charlotte would react to each other, but they were all cool with each other and began talking to each other.
Then Charlotte's boyfriend Freddie arrived and that was when she introduced me to him. I was worried about how he felt meeting me, who was one of his girlfriend's ex-boyfriend, but once we met, we were all cool and started talking to each other and found out we had a lot in common. And he got on with Roxanne as well after he was introduced to him.
Then the movie on the big screen began and Charlotte and Freddie watched the movie with us, which felt very nice.
I thought Roxanne handled seeing my ex-girlfriends from college very well. At first, I thought she wasn't going to handle seeing them and that she was going to get jealous and something (maybe even everything) would go wrong, but that wasn't the case at all. She didn't mind meeting them and she got on very well with them and she and I got on with their boyfriends as well. After my reunions with each of them, we bumped into them every now and them both on the cruise and off the cruise. They became Roxanne's friends as much as mine.
On the last day, when the cruise ended its voyage in Dubrovnik, the ladies came to say goodbye to me and even gave me their contact details to keep in touch, including their telephone numbers, email addresses and their postal addresses so Roxanne and I could either come and see them if we were passing by or send them birthday and Christmas cards and I gave them my contact details in return for the same reasons. Once again, they all told me how much they missed me and I told them I really missed them and they were very glad to have met Roxanne and she was glad to have met them.
The only one of my ex-girlfriends Roxanne didn't meet or even want to meet was Mona because of what she did to me. I didn't try to stop her from going to speak to her or become her friend if she really wanted, but she chose not to and I'm glad she didn't want to. And she didn't want to meet Bradley Uppercrust III after the bullying he did to me at college and she didn't want to meet Chad again. She never really liked him and she didn't miss him anymore than I did.
