A week later, Kyle's grounding has finally come to an end, and he is getting himself ready for his first free day hanging out with Dex and going to the museum to see the Ancient Egyptian exhibit as well as an exclusive exhibit of Planetariums which was running for the second last Saturday in July only.

Kyle packs his bag ready for his sleepover at Dex's house afterwards too.

Casey is sitting at the kitchen table, having just finished breakfast after lazing about having a sleep in and watches Kyle walking in and out of the bedroom with his belongings.

He still has three weeks left of his grounding and is saddened that he still has to wait before he could go out and enjoy a sleepover.

Kyle smiles at Casey as he comes out with his bag but Casey lets out a groan and rests his head on his arms on the table.

"Are you okay, Case?" Kyle asks and approaches his brother.

Casey glances up at Kyle and shrugs.

"I just wish I could go for a sleepover too and get to hang out with friends properly. I can't even hang out with anyone on the weekend because I already used up my four hour a week limit hanging out with Ryder and Liam after school," Casey grumbles.

Kyle saddens hearing Casey's plea, knowing how bored and lonely his brother got sitting at home doing nothing.

"I don't have to go to the museum and sleepover at Dex's if you want me to stay at home and hang with you?" Kyle offers.

Casey furrows his brow at Kyle's suggestion and as much as he wanted his brother's company he couldn't let Kyle miss out just for him.

"You've been talking about the museum for ages, don't stay home because of me; you deserve it and it's only fair, you've finished your grounding," Casey says in a slightly sad tone.

Brax comes out of his bedroom, carrying his drill where he had been fixing a broken piece of his wardrobe.

"You all packed and ready for today, Ky?" Brax asks.

"Yeah," Kyle replies.

"Good; what time is Dex and Sid coming around to pick you up?"

Kyle checks his watch.

"Should be soon; we want to get to the museum as soon as it opens at ten-thirty," Kyle replies.

There is a knock on the door not long after and Brax put down the drill to answer.

"Hi Brax," Dex greets upon seeing the eldest.

"Oh hey, Dex; Kyle's pretty much all organised to go. You're Dad is still okay with taking you boys to the museum?" Brax asks.

"Dad got called into work so Indi's offered to take us," Dex replies and Kyle flicks his head around to glance at his friend.

"Well, I hope you boys both have a good time and see some interesting exhibits," Brax says and approaches Kyle.

"Have fun kiddo and call me if you need anything."

Kyle nods.

Dex smiles at Casey and gives him a wave, "Hey, Casey."

"Hi," Casey grumbles and remains slumped on the table, drawing in both Kyle and Brax's attention.

Dex glances briefly at Kyle over Casey's behaviour before speaking again.

"It really sucks you still can't hang with us yet," Dex comments sympathetically.

Casey groans, "I could do without the museum but it's sleepovers and doing fun stuff I miss; it's been forever."

Brax rolls his eyes.

"It's been three weeks Casey," he reminds the youngest.

"So? And I still have three more weeks to go," Casey moans and hangs his head on the table again.

Brax sighs.

"So are you all ready to go?" Dex asks Kyle.

"Yeah: I just have to grab my drink bottle and bag," Kyle replies and does just that.

Kyle turns back to Casey before he leaves.

"Are you going to be okay?" he asks with concern.

Casey only grumbles miserably.

"He'll be fine," Brax says and pats Kyle on the back.

"Well, bye, and Casey, call me if you need me, okay!" Kyle yells out.

Casey nods with agreement and watches his brother and friend leave and Brax close the door behind them.

"I have to get my phone before I can even message you," Casey whispers.

Brax sighs and walks back over to the youngest and scratches the back of his head.

"You know I would always let you have your phone to call your brother if it was necessary," Brax assures.

When Casey doesn't respond further, Brax prompts again.

"You feeling okay, Champ?"

Casey shrugs.

"I guess. It just sucks Kyle gets to go out and have fun but I still have ages," Casey explains.

"I hope you're not feeling jealous again?"

Casey shakes his head.

"I'm happy he can do stuff. It just sucks I can't do that too or hang out with him, other than at home or through limited places and time. I just want to go to the movies again, or the arcade, and play video games."

"And you will get to do all that once your grounding is over. The three weeks will go by quicker than you know," Bax comforts.

"I hope so."

"Listen, why don't you help me with a few jobs I need to fix around the place today? I have the bathroom washers to replace, as well as loose board on the patio roof, fix a leak in the kitchen sink, and tidy up the shed," Brax suggests as he lists his fix-it jobs.

Casey glances up at his big brother with an unimpressed glare.

"I'm not asking as a chore, but as a favour to me," Brax clarifies.

He'd hoped suggesting Casey to help him would give the teen something to focus on and not feel so bored and lonely.

"Or you could amuse yourself?" Brax adds.

"I guess," Casey replies.

"What are you agreeing to?" Brax asks.

"I can help you," Casey mumbles.

"Good boy; I'd really appreciate that and how about as a reward after all the jobs are done, you and I could chuck a footy around outside together, and I promise there won't be any restrictions on time, because you'll be hanging with me," Brax suggests.

Casey finally smiles.

"Thought so, well when you've cleaned your dishes we can get started," Brax instructs with a smile and runs his hand through Casey's hair a final time before walking away.

Outside Dex and Kyle are walking down the driveway towards Indi's car.

"I'm so glad you're not grounded anymore and didn't miss out on this limited Planetarium exhibit at the museum," Dex states.

"Me too; I've definitely learnt my lesson: I'm never doing anything so bad again to get grounded for so long and I hope Casey doesn't either," Kyle says.

They are just about to reach Indi's car when Kyle stops and gives his best friend a tug of his shirt.

Dex turns and frowns in confusion at Kyle.

"Indi doesn't know anything about my grounding or the trouble I got in does she?" he says in panic.

Dex laughs and nudges his friend.

"I haven't told her anything and she hasn't mentioned anything so it's safe to say she doesn't, so relax; I know you have a crush on her, but I don't see how when you have a new girl on the horizon with this Ashley you told me about the other week," Dex implies.

Kyle blushes.

"It's nothing official. She's just a really cute girl who wants to go on a date sometime."

"And that kiss?" Dex asks.

"It was just one kiss and she kissed me out of the blue. I did nothing." Kyle says.

"Nothing besides be yourself and now look at you attracting the ladies," Dex says, nudging Kyle.

"Hardly," Kyle answers.

Dex opens the back door to Indi's car.

"We're all ready sis," Dex announces.

"Hi Kyle; how are you?" Indi greets.

"Hi Indi, I'm good thanks. Thanks for driving us to the museum," Kyle replies.

Indi smiles and watches as the boys climb into the back seat.

"Did you want to drop your bag at the house first Kyle?" Indi asks.

Kyle glances at the time and does not want to miss a second of being at the museum after having looked forward to this, but also hesitates for having one of his crushes touch his bag was a big deal for him.

Dex elbows Kyle.

"Um, I'm not sure we have time for that. I don't want to be late to the museum, but I don't want you having to do that," Kyle replies.

"He means yes," Dex pipes up and laughs, causing Kyle's cheeks to flush.

"No problem, I can drop it at home after dropping you both at the museum," Indi offers.

"Thank you," Kyle says quietly, resting against his seat.

Dex's phone dings and he looks at a message from Ryder.

"Ryder is meeting us at the museum about twelve after he helps his Aunt and Grandpa at the caravan park," Dex informs as he reads Ryder's text.

"That's cool he's coming too. Is he going to sleep over as well?" Kyle asks.

"Not sure he's going to let us know when he meets us. I texted Liam earlier too to see if he wanted to meet up this afternoon and sleepover but he's busy with helping his Dad on his boat this weekend as it's apparently a busy time for him with taking people out to catch fish and today he's doing his showings on marine life," Dex explains.

"What about Romeo?" Kyle asks.

"Nah, he can't make it either as he's visiting his Grandparents," Dex says.

Indi finally pulls up outside Yabbie Creek Museum.

"Enjoy yourselves. I hope you both get to see everything you want and learn a lot. Just make sure you call me once you're finished and I'll come and pick you both up," Indi instructs.

"We will," Dex says, quickly dismissing his sister's comment as he looks out at the museum.

"I'm serious Dexter; Dad doesn't want you boys wandering around across town."

"I know Indi. I said we will," Dex says firmly and smiles at Kyle as the teens get out of the car.

"Thanks Indi, have a good day," Kyle says.

Indi smiles and once both boys are out of the car Indi drives back towards Summer Bay.

Kyle smirks and nudges Dex.

"I can't believe Indi just called you Dexter," he chuckles with a cheeky grin.

Dex scowls.

"Like you can talk; your brother's call you Kylie," Dex replies.

"Yeah, but that's not my full name," Kyle defends with a chuckle.

"Let's forget about names and just get inside and check out these awesome exhibits," Dex suggests with a laugh and wraps his arm around Kyle's shoulder.

The two teens walk through the first exhibit on early Australia, covering first Australians, bushrangers, and explorers, before moving onto the second exhibit on fossils and minerals.

Kyle clicks a few photos on his phone and continues on.

Kyle and Dex then make their way to the second floor to see the exhibits on life science and have just entered the Australian megafauna exhibit when they hear a familiar voice behind them, and they turn to see Ryder.

"How cool are some of these stuffed creatures? It's hard to believe some of these actually existed!"

Dex and Kyle give their friend a smile.

"Hey Ryder," Kyle greets.

"How did you find us so fast?" Dex asks as he glances at his watch and sees that it is only fifteen minutes past twelve.

"I finished helping Roo and Grumps early and Roo dropped me here so I had a quick glance over the first level and when I couldn't see you guys I came onto the second floor and caught you both on the way into another exhibit," Ryder explains.

The three teens begin wandering around the Australian megafauna exhibit.

"Look at the size of this one," Ryder points out towards a life-sized figure of a six metre lizard.

"Says here it's called a Megalania," Dex says as he reads the information card.

The teens continue through the exhibit then head to the third floor to see the Natural Sciences exhibit.

They are left in awe over the many specimens of mammals, fish, birds, and reptiles.

It isn't until they reach the entomology section that the teens start to become grossed out.

"These insects are so huge. I'm so glad most of them aren't around anymore," Dex comments.

"I agree. I'd hate for moths that big to be around and Case would hate if we had any kind of monster sized roach or beetles around," Kyle says with a laugh.

"Yuck; get a look at these super-sized crickets and larva," Ryder adds.

Kyle and Dex glance at each other and laugh.

"Are you wishing what they would taste like?" Dex asks.

"I still can't believe you ate those sandwiches of Casey's and mine after Heath put those worms in them," Kyle says with a smirk.

Ryder shrugs, "It wasn't so bad; they had a nice flavour. Besides they are known to be a delicacy in places; even coated in chocolate, but now looking at them pinned in a glass it's kind of gross, thinking about it."

The teens finish up looking at all the insects in cases and head up to the fourth and final floor and see posters and adverts for the limited Planetarium exhibit.

"This is it!" Dex exclaims.

"I can't wait," Kyle cheers with a smile.

As they head towards the entrance they catch sight of Zeke and Haley coming from the other direction on the floor.

"Oh no: here comes trouble," Dex comments.

Ryder huffs, "What are those losers doing here?"

Kyle shrugs.

"Well at least there are three of us and only two of them," Ryder adds.

"I'm certainly not missing out on this experience because of them and I hope you're not planning on missing out either, Ky just to avoid them?" Dex says.

Kyle thinks for a moment as the teens continue to walk towards the entrance.

Zeke and Haley catch Kyle's eye and instead of making any gesture or remark they turn away ignoring him and enter the exhibit.

"Well that was weird," Ryder points out.

"I guess it has something to do with Heath threatening them after the day they harassed Casey and me at the beach," Kyle explains, feeling some relief that they might actually start leaving him alone for once.

"Well let's just forget them and enjoy ourselves," Dex cheers.

As the three get up to the entrance they notice an assistant standing at the door.

"Are you boys looking at entering the Planetarium exhibit today?" the man asks.

"Yeah, we are," Ryder answers.

"We can't wait!" Dex adds.

"Well, due to the exclusiveness of this exhibit and its remarkable contents, there is a thirteen dollar entrance fee," the assistant informs.

Ryder digs into his pocket to grab out his wallet and hands the assistant his money before being allowed inside the doorway where he waits for his friends to follow.

Dex pays the assistant his share, while Kyle slumps his shoulders.

"I guess there goes my chance of seeing the exhibit. You'll have to tell me all about it," Kyle says glumly, to which Dex and Ryder look at him confused.

"What are you talking about?" Dex asks.

"I don't have any money so can't enter," Kyle informs.

"Relax, I've got it," Dex replies and grabs another thirteen dollars from his wallet and hands it to the assistant.

"Dex, I can't let you do that, it's not fair; you've paid for so much for me lately every time we hang out," Kyle protests.

"Would you just stop stressing over that, Ky; you're my best friend and I honestly don't mind. So come on in and enjoy the exhibit with us," Dex replies.

Kyle smiles and walks past the assistant towards his friends.

"Thanks Dex, I really appreciate this. I promise to make it up to you," Kyle assures.

The teens wander into the exhibit and are surrounded by darkness with images of the planets, stars, and universe around them.

"Is this awesome or what?" Ryder exclaims.

As they continue through, the exhibit opens up into a room resembling the inside of a space rocket and has models of planets as well as replicas of space suits and satellites.

Kyle takes a few more photos on his phone as the teens read the information blurbs around the exhibit then head towards another room that is set out like a miniature movie theatre with seats and a screen.

After taking a seat, along with a few other people in the exhibit, the screen lights up, showing a section of the universe.

A reel begins to play, speaking all about the universe and how it came to be and each of the planets in turn as well as explanations on black holes, nebulas, and white dwarfs.

As the show continues on, in sections the seats spin around to different screens.

"Oh wow; this is so cool!" Dex exclaims.

"It's almost as if we're seeing the universe in orbit," Kyle comments.

The show continues for a further ten minutes until the seats have turned a full three-sixty degree rotation.

Dex, Kyle, and Ryder walk out of the miniature movie theatre astonished by the experience they had just encountered.

Taking one more look around the exhibit, the teens head back down to the first floor to the museum cafe and grab some lunch.

Dex buys a large box of hot chips and three lemonades, shouting both his friends' lunch and they sit out on the grass in front of the museum, eating and chatting away.

Once they finish they decide to wander down to the next block to grab an ice-cream from the famous ice-creamery.

Ryder orders a cup with a scoop of vanilla and a scoop of mint choc-chip, and pays for his, before Kyle orders his cup with a scoop of strawberry and a scoop of chocolate chip cookie dough and finally Dex orders a cup with a scoop of caramel and a scoop of chocolate and pays for Kyle's as well as his own.

The three begin making their way back towards the museum grounds while Dex sends a text to Indi to come and pick them up.

"Thanks again for this Dex," Kyle says, taking a spoonful of his ice-cream.

"No problems, I can imagine it would suck not being able to enjoy treats because you don't have your allowance," Dex replies.

"When do you get your allowance back?" Ryder asks.

"Well I'm not technically on restriction anymore, it's just I still owe Brax some debt and until he says it's paid off I won't get any money. My guess is I won't get anything for at least another month," Kyle says.

"That really sucks," Ryder states.

The teens finish off their ice-cream just moments before Indi pulls up outside the museum.

"Did you all have a nice time?" Indi asks as the three teens get into the car.

"Yeah, it was pretty awesome!" Dex says.

"Who knew a museum could have such amazing exhibits," Ryder adds.

"What did you think, Kyle?" Indi asks.

"It was really informative, especially the limited Planetarium exhibit, I learnt so much about the universe and the solar system," Kyle replies.

"That's great. So, am I dropping Ryder off first before we go home?"

"Yes, Ryder isn't staying," Dex tells his sister.

Indi drives towards the caravan park, dropping Ryder off and after a quick farewell between the friends; Indi takes Dex and Kyle back to the Walker's house.
