It was curious on how she emerged from her slumber. It was equally curious, if not more that the source of her awakening bore just a passing 'semblance' with the one that she woke up for.

Yet, it all started with an act of childish rebellion. A rather tame one, yet it was still enough to drive the young girl with short dark hair to make her way out of her room and through the newest laboratories her father had recently built for his plans.

A quiet step hardly shook the desolation of the dark lair, not when the owner was too busy trying to make sense of the very topic that had made the girl very curious and very rebellious: Moon Knight.

To hear the bespectacled scientist, once bearer to her of many smiles and now showing his only child his vicious grins too frequently, lament over this specific figure caused a deep shake within the child's mind and body and... soul. It felt like the specific name brought to her a sense of intrigue that wasn't hers- nor part of her own dark self.

In fact, the dark side of her mind was silent as a single voice ordered her tenderly to look into it, to see what was going on. To find out more about Moon Knight.

The name had been something the girl had never heard before her father's furious yells. He complained on how this figure was ruining his plans, destroying his efforts, and making his life difficult much to his and his master's chagrin.

At this point, the girl wasn't sure who was her father's 'master', but she knew it was the one that changed him from a kind man into the bad scientist he was now. It was disheartening each time she saw him growing more and more monstrous so... it felt less wrong to depart from her new home.

Taking for the streets after finding a secondary exit out of the half-built construction, the girl looked around with wondrous eyes - when was the last time she visited outdoors? How long since she saw a proper street?

It felt weird to think, but her heart buzzed with joy at this newfound freedom... and then she flinched as she felt a bout of seizure coming from her resurging dark side.

GO BACK!

The loud order frightened her, but the quieter voice, the one that she heard more clearly and found far more soothing, said the opposite.

Follow the trail I am giving you. We need to find her.

Who was the Quiet One speaking of? She couldn't make sense of it on the spot, but her soothing words drove back the darkness away from her mind and stabilized her body.

It was clear, within the child's limited grasp of the situation, that she would be given shelter away from the seizures if she followed the Quiet One's orders. In her opinion, this was the best deal at the moment and thus she complied to what she was told to do, 'feeling' the trail as she felt her chest yanked in a specific direction.

It was an alien feeling, like as if she 'knew' where she was going, but also not. It was weird and kind of cool for someone that found this sort of unusual things so peculiar.

Her journey took her across the city, which wasn't the same as the town where her and her family used to live. Was this Tokyo? She remembered her father bringing that up, but the girl couldn't tell until she spotted many bus stops bringing up Tokyo.

If that was the case, then her mama had been right: Tokyo is quite big. And maybe noisy as she saw the many vehicles parked around for the night and hardly a few still passing through despite the late hour. She could just imagine everyone awake and moving, noisy and loud.

A hour went by for the child, her mesmerized eyes glowing as she sponged the few streets she followed. It was such a liberating experience, to be walking alone and without feeling stalked by either her own father or those 'serving' him.

Yet, she had to stop a few times due to her darkness trying to take over. It was persistent, but the Quiet One worked hard to keep that malicious entity at bay as the girl grow closer to her destination.

She reached close to the docks, the area filled with various kinds of warehouses that looked mostly abandoned. All but one quite the further away from those active ones, and appearing as abandoned as the rest.

Pausing a moment as she studied a way in, the girl smiled as she a few boxes hiding away a broken ventilation entry. The gated section had been busted, which meant that she could slip through there.

Careful as before, the child made sure to not get herself cut in the rusty metal and then she looked around for any unaccounted nails or pieces of glass by the floor. She may be wearing boots, but that didn't mean she was marching through a place where there could be things that could hurt her.

Soon she made it through the entry point and into what appeared to be a reception area and... she heard someone pacing around close to where she was.

Could it be 'her'?

The Quiet One seemed to almost 'nod' at her about it, so the girl delved deeper and deeper until... she found a workroom. One with a few boards that had been used recently with various pieces of newspaper. Some of which clicked with the child's own awareness of things-

A New Private School in Azabu-Juban.

World Famous Tomoe Souichi revealed as the Headmaster of the new School, Mugen Academy.

Others instead rallied some dark throughts that worried her.

Multiple mercenaries found dead in Yokohama Bay - JSDF involved.

A Terrorist Conspiracy? The Government is classifying the case of the Dead Mercs found in Yokohama.

The girl kept on looking and looking until-

"I wasn't expecting you to find me yourself, Saturn."

The boyish voice had the girl tense up, eyes wide open as she turned to a shadowy corner from which a figure emerged. A boy around her age, blonde hair and gray eyes.

At that point, the girl was confused, but she felt her lips move on their own.

"Where is Queen Serenity?"

Shock gripped the girl as her body moved on her own. Was that... The Quiet One's work?

Yes. Let us speak, he will explain. Hopefully.

H-Hopefully!?

"She is no longer around. She temporarily kept by me and left behind a torch I now bear as a Guardian," The boy answered calmly, the reply not truly soothing this 'third' personality of hers. "Still, I didn't expect you to seek me out and I thought I would have to find you."

"What for?"

"Get the chaos entity sharing the control room with you out of your reincarnation."

...What? Wait, is this 'Saturn' the Quiet One?

"And I think it's time I address you too, Tomoe Hotaru."

The girl blinked. "Y-You know me."

"Not without reason. First, you are the reincarnation of the one that led you here, Sailor Saturn. And then there is the fact that your father has been corrupted by the very influence that is within your body in trying to bring a bad entity into this world."

Hotaru frowned. "Oh."

"I am Shingo, by the way. Tsukino Shingo."

"N-Nice to meet you, Shingo-san."

"Just Shingo please and-"

"You- You are Moon Knight, right?"

His mouth stood open but he nodded first. "Yeah... how do you know that?"

"S-Saturn woke up when she- she heard Father mentioning you. You have been foiling his plans."

"Actively and intensely so," He confirmed. "But I doubt I can do so for now as I have to address you- the parasite inside your body."

Hotaru tensed up again, but this time the hope she felt at the confident way it was addressed.

"C-Can you remove her?"

The darkness stirred, but Shingo slowly nodded at this.

"I know a few people that have some experience on similar matters. I think it can be done and also heal your body too. That's also important."

She offered a shy smile at that, but then Hotaru yawned. It was quite late, and while she had spent time resting a lot through the day, her mind was exhausted after her little solo exploration.

"I think we can address these matters tomorrow. I think I have... someone that wouldn't mind having you sleep over. But I have a little preference question before seeing if this feasible."

Hotaru nodded and soon Shingo gave her the oddest question yet.

"What do you think of white cats?"

At that Hotaru perked up.

She wouldn't mind dealing with a cat at all as pets like that were super-cute and she always craved for one as a little kid.

What Hotaru didn't expect said cat to be a talking one though but- things were only going to get weirded beyond this point.

Hotaru doesn't need savings- she can rescue herself just fine. The issue is the physical, emotional and reincarnational issues coming with her. Gib her headpats, Shingo!
