Earth hummed, his fingers gliding over the keyboard as he typed a headline. He narrowed his eyes, biting the inside of his cheek as he thought deeply.
"Earth, you got another call from-"
"Luna! Just the person I need, tell me- does Terra Goes on Tour sound too cliche?" The artist turned to his little brother.
"Uh... no, not really." Luna frowned, crossing his arms, "But, Earth, you got another call from the bank."
"Eh, tell them to call me back later. I'm busy at the moment." Earth returned to editing the poster for his first tour, trying to make it as perfect as possible, "Should I make the text blue or green?"
Luna huffed, leaving the room with heavy steps.
"You're right, the green would clash with everything else." Earth nodded, "Blue it is."
Luna went downstairs, walked into the lounge, and collapsed on the sofa. He grabbed the remote, his fingers mindlessly pressing the buttons as his mind drifted somewhere else.
"He's still ignoring you?" A voice spoke behind him. Luna opened his eyes, meeting the gaze of someone familiar.
"You could say that." Luna shrugged, glancing around the mind space, "How's it been going here? I haven't seen you in a while, Hecate."
"Eh, figured you wouldn't mind if I took a break." Hecate raised a hand, running it through their black hair.
"And Artemis?"
Hecate frowned, their gaze drifting, "Dormant..."
"Oh... so, it's just the two of us?"
"Yep."
"Sorry for leaving you alone all the time."
"Pfft- you think I care? I can front whenever I want to."
"But you don't..."
"Because I don't need to."
Luna squinted his eyes, "You make no sense sometimes."
"I prefer it that way," Hecate smirked.
"...Luna?" A distant voice spoke.
"Looks like the superstar is calling for you," Hecate spoke. Luna rolled his eyes before falling back into reality.
"Luna?"
The one in question blinked a few times, peering up at his brother before him, "Hm? Did you say something?"
Earth knitted his eyebrows, "I called your name five times- are you okay?"
"I'm fine." Luna smiled, trying to convince the other, "Just tired."
"It's only noon." Earth glanced toward the clock on the wall before returning his gaze, "Anyway, Jupiter invited me to meet the other bands I'd be touring with."
"Will you be back before dinner?"
"I dunno." Earth grabbed his earbuds off the coffee table, "I'll see you later, though."
"Okay. Love you." Luna watched as his brother left the house. He sighed, relaxing more into the couch cushions.
"You could just tell him about us, y'know." Hecate's voice reverberated in his head.
Luna scoffed, "As if. He'll think I'm crazy."
"That's just because every media does DID dirty." Luna could hear the scowl on Hecate's face.
"I suppose..." Luna clutched the remote in his hand, pressing a random button and letting his mind wander once more.
"Hey, glad you could make it, Earth!" Jupiter smiled, holding the door open for the amateur singer.
"Of course! Anything for the betterment of my stardom." Earth half-joked, letting out a small chuckle.
"Juno is currently practicing their songs. The other bands are backstage." Jupiter led Earth down a corridor. Various props aligned the room, and sandbags were placed strategically away from the stage's limelight. Saturn was seen fastening ropes to the bags while Neptune pressed a few buttons on the manager's panel.
'Seriously?' Earth thought upon spotting Neptune, 'This guy is everywhere!'
"Saturn, are Cassini-Huygens ready for their performance?" Jupiter called.
"Almost. Titan can't find his lucky pic." Saturn looked up from where he was crouched.
"Excuse me for a moment, Earth. I need to talk to Neptune." Jupiter spoke.
"Sure, sure, take your time." Earth waved a hand, opting to have a look around the rented-out theatre.
"It's in G, Europa. This isn't Welcome to the Funeral." A voice piped up from the stage.
"I know that, Callisto. I'm just rusty, I haven't played the piano in a while." A snappy tone spoke.
Earth hummed, inching towards the curtains that cut him off from the stage. He raised a hand, pulling away the fabric so he could see better.
Four people stood on center stage; two girls and two guys. A girl with pale pink hair and peach skin sat at a piano, checking it over. A dark-skinned girl with dark purple hair stood a few feet away holding a bass guitar.
"Come on, babe, we have a few shots to get this right. We have to impress Jupiter with our skills." A guy with dark yellow hair spoke. He was holding a guitar, seemingly trying to tune it.
"Don't worry, Ganymede. I'm sure Jupiter will be impressed no matter what. He's our manager, after all."
'Impress Jupiter...?' Earth thought, raising an eyebrow.
"Y-You could add a few d-dance moves!" A person with bright yellow hair spoke as he spun drumsticks in his hands. A mask covered the lower portion of his face.
Ganymede hummed, "That's actually not a bad idea."
"Don't overdo it like last time." Callisto glared.
"Chill. I know my limits." Ganymede smirked before looking at the drummer, "Count us in, Io."
Io grinned, tapping his drumsticks together, "And a th-three, two, one...!"
Europa started the song, pressing her fingers lightly against the piano keys.
"When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band... he said, 'Son when you grow up, would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned?'" Ganymede's voice was far from perfect. It was rough and suited for heavier songs, making the song he was singing perfect.
'Not as perfect as me.' Earth couldn't help but think, a smile rising on his face.
"He said, 'Will you defeat them, your demons and all the non-believers, the plans that they have made? Because one day, I'll leave you a phantom to lead you in the summer to join the Black Parade.' When I was a young boy, my father took me into the city to see a marching band. He said, 'Son when you grow up, would you be the savior of the broken, the beaten, and the damned...?'"
Then everyone else joined in, Europa moving from the piano to standing with her guitar next to Ganymede.
Earth's mouth was dropped in an 'o' shape as he watched the performance.
"Ah, I see Juno is coming along nicely." Jupiter spoke from beside Earth, spooking him out of his stupor, "Though could do without the extra moves..."
Earth's eye twitched. Io kept his eyes focused on everyone else as he hit the drums, never missing a beat. Callisto noticeably stood on the sidelines, her fingers strumming her bass. Europa and Ganymede shared a piece of the stage as they stood in the center with their backs pressed against each other.
They were in flawless coordination.
Despite everything Earth was witnessing, he scoffed as he crossed his arms and walked away, "They're not that good."
Jupiter blinked, frowning upon hearing the comment.
"Earth!" Neptune exclaimed, rushing up to the young singer and taking hold of his hand, "I'm so pleased to hear that I'll be working with you as your manager!"
Earth scrunched his face in confusion, tensing as the eccentric person shook his hand, "I'm sorry- what?"
