Chapter 25: 9 Yin and 9 Yang

Zeboiim-Zoar

"We're gonna divide into 16 groups and then those trios are gonna combine.," Najenda said to the group.

Bols raised his hand as the masked man said-

"Are Kije and Logue alright?"

Wave then thought back to his friend's previously dead but now alive allies.

"They're not technically yours, but another version from another timeline I summoned.," Murasaki said.

"Wait, you can do that?," asked a shocked Bols.

"All the victims done by the Empire had been revived technically via this method. Including yours.," the indigo-haired woman explained.

Bols removed his mask to reveal what was once a blond, blue-eyed, handsome man, but the sight of what Wave saw, made him gag.

"It's punishment for my sins. No, it was their deaths that were my punishment. I don't want to continue my work. And spend the rest of my days with them, even if they aren't the originals.," he explained with his face half-framed in shadow.

"What was the worst punishment in Hell for you?," asked Najenda as she noticed he put down Rubicante, the vaguely draconic-themed flamethrower.

"It seems like they like the dark-skinned foreigner more than me.," the man remarked, changing the subject as he looked at the dark-skinned, yellow-eyed Yomihime.

"Don't be so hard on yourself, Bols," said Wave, patting him on the back. "You're still pretty handsome under all that...whatever happened to your face."

"I hope they can take me in.," said the man as he left.

Enshin and Champ snickered.

"Gattai? Like robots in comics? Ridiculous. If it means being united with women, I'll pass. I like to dominate rather than be in a lovely-dovey relationship.," the dark-haired man mocked.

"Now that I'm free. Time to rape more little children.," Champ, the deranged clown said callously.

Both Najenda could do anything, pillars of light shined on the two men, and they screamed as they were incinerated in an instant.

Syura looked in horror, not for them, but if that beam attacked him next.

Akame's eyes grew wide with shock as she watched the two men disintegrate before her. "Najenda! What was that?" she exclaimed, her voice filled with a mix of fear and awe.

Akame looked up to see the pink-haired rabbit girl, Lagie appear in front of the group. She had been an ally of Murasaki during the Kodoku conflict.

She glared at Syura as she said-

"We usually damn the wicked or reincarnate them, but we have permission to smite irredeemable souls. Your autonomy is no longer yours. You're to be unified with your rivals whether you like it or not. It's so reckless that I'm showing up here."

Syura and Dorothea looked at Izou and Cosmina to back down, knowing that they didn't stand a chance.

"With that power, can't you get rid of the Great One running this place yourself?," asked Wave.

"The only powers capable of wounding the Great One are the Teigu. His nature makes him immune to our attacks.," the rabbit girl explained.

The room grew tense as the gravity of the situation sank in. The Great One's influence loomed over them like a dark cloud, a constant reminder of the power they were up against.

"So that weird crossdresser-," Cosmina inquired

"Insidious.," Lagie corrected.

"He's just the brat son of the Devil.," she remarked.

"Yes, the Great One is what humans would call Satan, the Prince of Darkness, the Fallen One, the Lord of Lies, the Tempter, Ruler of Demons, The Evil One, Ruler Of This World, The God of This Age, Ruler Of The Authority Of The Air, Roaring Lion, the Angel Of The Abyss, The Dragon, Deceiver Of The Whole World, Old Scratch, the Serpent, -," the rabbit explained.

Wave looked nervous at this revelation.

"So he's not a Super-Class Danger Beast, but THAT GUY?" asked the dark-haired man.

"So he's not a Super-Class Danger Beast, but the ruler of Hell itself?" asked the dark-haired man.

"Technically, one of the five, but he is the strongest of them. Each nation before he just unified the continents earlier, has their own Great One.," Lagie replied.

Akame's mind raced as she digested this information. The Great One was not just a powerful being, but a being of immense, divine evil. The weight of their task grew heavier with each new revelation.

Izou gives a discerning look, stroking his chin as he considers the words of Lagie. "So, the Great One is like... the ultimate boss in a roleplaying game?" he quips, trying to lighten the mood.

"U-uh yes.," Lagie replied.

Izou stepped forward, his long, slim figure cutting an imposing figure despite his casual demeanor. His black hair fell down his back in a neat ponytail, and his green kimono fluttered around him as he walked. The twig in his mouth bobbed slightly as he spoke. "Well, if we're fighting the big boss, we better level up," he said with a smirk, his eyes opening to reveal their unsettling black sclerae and crimson irises. He reached for the katana, Kousetsu, tied to his belt, the blade glinting in the dim light of the room.

"This fusion. I want to see it. Even if it means rendering my colleagues nonexistent.," he said.

"You've got no choice.," said a familiar face as Akame turned around to see familiar faces.

"Our killings were done at the behest of the true mastermind. We're damned parties now trying to save humanity.," Mine explained.

"Wait, where's Bulat?," Tatsumi asked, but got only silence.

Tatsumi was reminded of his friends, both old and new.

To the other's shock, there was a young man with black hair and brown eyes. His hair was always tied in a ponytail. He wore a white shirt and had a black vest over it. He also had blue trousers tied with a brown cloth. A man who had been long since killed by the evil tyrant, Zuou, much to Rinzu, his former Fiancé;'s horror.

Hisame- Commander of Soukai.

A young woman with long, blonde hair tied in a ponytail, wearing a white midriff-exposing top and black pants.

She wore a white, long-sleeved shirt with a light blue ribbon on her neck. Above her shirt, she wore a sleeveless, light blue dress with a black bodice and white frills. Aria also wore a pair of white boots.

Aria- Noble.

There a mix of astonishment, disgust for some members, etc.

"Who did all of this?," asked Esdeath, being candid.

"The Divine One. You would know him as God with a capital G. It's a miracle of desperation.," Lagie explained.

There a mix of astonishment, disgust for some members, etc.

"Who did all of this? Reviving most of these guys," asked Esdeath, being candid.

"The Divine One. You would know him as God with a capital G. It's a miracle of desperation.," Lagie explained.

"I-I'm sorry.," cried Rinzu.

"Oh, that makes sense we're facing the devil.," Cosmina said without much thought.

The room grew quiet as the gravity of the situation dawned upon them. Facing the Great One was not going to be easy.

Lagie then knocked out Izou as the final figure arrived-

A tall blond woman with long blond hair with two longer bangs resembling horns, wearing military attire that exposed her midriff.

Buda- New Kingdom.

"Who's this?," asked Hinowa.

"She's the daughter of Budo. She was away when everything went down, crushing our rebellion, but then she was on our side.," Najenda said.

"I heard everything from my father and the whispers of the Lord.," Buda explained.

"Sorry to do this, but we don't have much time.," Lagie said as she summoned a pair of massive white gloves.

She then slammed the collective parties together. Resulting in the fusions with Murasaki being the most notable.

"Half of you represent the Yin- negative, dark, and feminine principle of existence and the other represents the Yang- the active male principle of the universe, characterized as male and creative and associated with heaven, heat, and light.," Lagie explained.

Murasaki then looked at the others, there were no words to say other than the mission ahead.

5 Months Later

Time seemed to work differently within the area. It was enough for the 48 individuals to combine into 16 individuals- comprised of a positive, negative, and neutral soul. And to be taught the art of Energy of the Soul.

Medober's powers included 100% power release, beast manipulation, and vibration manipulation.

They had just finished their training in their unified bodies.

Each of the merged fighters noticed they had aspects of their components' personalities-

Murasaki had Akame's socially awkward personality beneath the facade of a very serious and cold-hearted person while being a big eater, Esdeath's domineering yet charismatic personality, and Tatsumi's kind, generous, level-headed, and friendly vibe. The result was a complex tapestry of emotions and behaviors that often surprised her comrades. Her stern exterior and sharp gaze could make the bravest warrior quiver, yet a soft smile or a gentle word from her could melt the iciest of hearts. Her appetite was insatiable, a trait she had inherited from Akame, and it was not uncommon to see her scarfing down food in the mess hall with the same intensity she brought to the battlefield. Despite her intimidating presence, there was an undeniable warmth to her that drew people in, reminiscent of Tatsumi's welcoming nature. Her words were chosen with precision, reflecting Esdeath's confidence, yet she had a gentle touch that spoke volumes of her compassionate soul.

Kusealeo had Kurome's demure personality mixed with Leone's relaxed, upbeat, and cheerful personality, and tends to display a lack of lady-like manners; and Chelsea's mischievous personality with a cold, calculating side.

The first time they saw Kusealeo in action, the group was taken aback by her unpredictable demeanor. She'd burst into laughter one moment, only to be whispering dark incantations the next. Her movements were a blend of Leone's gracefulness and Chelsea's cat-like agility, which made for an unsettling yet fascinating spectacle. Her eyes, a merging of Kurome's piercing glare and Leone's sparkling warmth, could switch from playful to deadly serious in a heartbeat. Her speech was peppered with the occasional unladylike outburst that made even the stoic Murasaki crack a smile.

Wasyurun had Wave's level-headed and easy-going personality with a heroic resolve, Run's calm, collected, and polite with a hint of cruelty, and Syura's massive ego.

As the newly formed Wasyurun strutted into the training grounds, the blend of Wave's heroic resolve and Run's calm collectedness was evident in every step. His eyes gleamed with the determination to protect, yet a shadow of Syura's cruel streak lurked beneath the surface, hinting at the power that lay within. His speech remained courteous, a nod to Run's upbringing, but every now and then, a smug grin would tug at the corners of his lips, a clear inheritance from Syura's inflated sense of self-importance.

Misheryu had Seryu's strong sense of justice now tempered with Mine's snide sharp-tongued but compassionate personality and Sheele's kind-hearted airhead personality to curb the excessive dogmatism. As she stepped into the sunlight, the reflection from her Teigu, Extase, danced across the training field. The union had brought an unexpected balance to her character, a blend that made her a formidable force and a welcome presence among her comrades. The fiery passion of Seryu was now met with a touch of Mine's sarcasm and wit, which often deflated tense situations with a well-placed remark. Yet, beneath the sarcastic quips, there was a genuine care for others that was purely Mine's, a trait that had been honed by the suffering she had endured in her past. Her merger with Koro had given her a large appetite.

It would be assumed that Comerinyau had Cosmina's flair for theatrics, Nyau's sadism, and Merraid's homosexual sexism with heterophobic and misandrist attitudes yet ironically these traits were inverted in the fusion.

Comerinyau's theatricality remained as vibrant as ever, but it was now laced with a touch of Nyau's sadistic streak, which often manifested in the form of dark humor and sarcasm rather than actual malice. Her battles were a macabre dance of sound and beasts, where the once sadistic intent was now directed towards a more artistic expression of power. The homophobic and misandrist attitudes were a thing of the past; instead, she embraced a pansexual outlook, seeing the beauty in all forms of love and the strength in every individual, regardless of gender.

Najmabu had Najenda's taciturn, sharp-minded, and level-headed attitude with a gentle yet firm air, Makoto's a kind and cheerful person who only wanted to help others to the best of his abilities with a youthful glee, and Buda's personality like her father, Budo, stoic and honorable. They were annoyed they were more tomboyish than before.

The first time Najmabu stepped into the training arena, the change in her demeanor was palpable. Gone was the stoic silence of Najenda, replaced by a firm, decisive voice that echoed with the gentle kindness of Makoto. Yet, her eyes, which mirrored the calmness of Budo, revealed a sharpness that could dissect any situation with surgical precision. Her movements were swift and calculated, a blend of the former emperor's grace and the precision of a seasoned general.

Lubaralish had Lubbock's easy-going individual who tended to be a pervert with a playful and optimistic nature showed even during fights, and he would often tease his enemies and brag about his abilities. However, he was not too arrogant and was always ready to flee if he had too much of a disadvantage in battle; Dr Stylish's stylish and homosexual nature; and Daidara's battle fanatic who would fight anyone who seemed strong, and constantly took every opportunity to improve himself when he could, referring to this process as "getting experience points".

In the new body of Lubaralish, the essence of Lubbock's cheeky charm remained, as he would often be found flirting with the male recruits during their downtime. His battles had become a display of flair and wit, as he'd manipulate his strings with a panache that left his opponents both bewildered and amused. His laughter was infectious, even in the heat of combat, as he'd spin tales of his Teigu's infinite potential. Yet, beneath the playful banter and flashy attacks, there was a cunning mind at work, always assessing the situation and ready to retreat when the odds turned against him. It was a dance of seduction and strategy, leaving enemies torn between anger and admiration. However, he didn't like how he was now pansexual with an elegant grace and had more overtly masculine desires paradoxically. But those other negative aspects were subdued by Lubbock's main persona.

Yomisaitae had Yomihime's calm, collected, and dutiful personality combined with Saiha's charismatic social attitude and Taeko's social awkwardness

Her poise was a perfect blend of the two, allowing her to glide through the vacant halls with an air of confidence that could only be described as majestic. Whenever she spoke, her words carried the weight of the moon's gravity, yet there was a gentle lilt to her voice that made everyone lean in to listen, a trait picked up from Saiha's natural charm. But every now and then, Taeko's shyness would peek through, leaving her flustered when she found herself the center of attention. Despite her awkwardness, she remained steadfast in her duty, a trait that reflected her newfound strength.

Renajado had Remus' attitude of an airhead that was friendly towards her team-mates and tearfully apologized to them for getting everyone in trouble, which was also excitable and easily distracted. This was balanced by Najasho's calm, composed, and confident personality that cares for others despite calling others shrimp; and Dorothea's amorality and intelligence.

Renajado looked around at her newfound comrades with wide, hopeful eyes, her feathered wings fluttering with excitement. "I'm so sorry, everyone!" she exclaimed, her voice a mix of Remus' childlike enthusiasm and Dorothea's sultry tone. "I didn't mean to cause any trouble!" The room was filled with the sound of her light, tinkling laughter as she clutched her stomach, tears of mirth and apology streaming down her cheeks. Her teammates couldn't help but chuckle at her antics, even though they knew the gravity of their situation.

Ginatawo had Gin's aggressive, prideful, and pushy personality that was ambitious, which was balanced by Natala's cheerful-yet-level-headed persona who was friendly towards his teammates and would both support and playfully tease them; and Womyn's serious personality was kind to her comrades and would give them advice and support them.

On the training field, Ginatawo's fiery spirit was a stark contrast to the stoic demeanor of his former self. He'd often be found playfully sparring with his comrades, his trident and mace moving with a fluid grace that belied his power. His banter was a mix of Gin's sharp wit and Natala's good-natured ribbing, leaving everyone in stitches. Yet, when the situation called for it, the seriousness of Womyn would shine through, offering guidance and strategy that showcased his newfound depth of thought. His ambition remained, but it was now tempered by a sense of camaraderie and the desire to protect those he cared for.

Tsugreyasu had Tsukushi's personality kind and considerate girl whose blind obedience was balanced by Green's seriousness and intelligence that was strategic and comedically had a crush on Akame- a component of Murasaki, being armpit-obsessed. This was balanced by Ieyasu's cheerfulness, carelessness and lack of common sense.

As Tsugreyasu picked up her sword, her eyes sparkled with the innocence of Tsukushi, yet her grip was firm, a testament to Green's strategic mind. Her battles were a whirlwind of light and shadow, as she'd manipulate her chain with a grace that seemed almost ethereal. Her laughter was infectious, a reminder of Ieyasu's carefree spirit, yet her words were chosen with the precision of a seasoned general. Her quirky obsession with armpits remained, much to the amusement of Murasaki, who couldn't help but blush whenever she was the subject of Tsugreyasu's curious gaze.

Speamagu had Spear's cheerful and confident in her fighting skills, which also seemed to have been somewhat insecure about being unmarried; Guy's masculine and openly perverted nature that liked Cornelia; and Amateru's loyalty combined with a rather violent and nonchalant disregard for life.

Speamagu's fusion created an intriguing mix of personalities. Her eyes, which held the fiery confidence of Spear, often twinkled with mischief, hinting at the playful banter that was a hallmark of Guy's interactions with his comrades. The way she carried herself was a testament to her absolute certainty in her abilities, a trait she had inherited from her previous incarnation as Spear. Yet, there was an underlying sense of insecurity that was new to her, something that stemmed from the quiet longing for companionship that Spear had held deep within her heart. It was this vulnerability that made her all the more endearing to her fellow fighters, who saw in her a reflection of their own uncertainties.

In the training arena, Speamagu's movements were a dance of grace and power. Her shield, Svalinn, was a symbol of her unwavering protection over her comrades, while the whip, Gleipnir, cracked through the air with the decisiveness of a seasoned warrior. Her third Teigu, Freischütz, sang with the echoes of a thousand battles, a testament to her unyielding loyalty to those she called friends. Her quips and jibes had a distinctly masculine edge, a clear reminder of Guy's influence, yet she delivered them with a wink that suggested she knew she was flirting with danger. Her perverted tendencies, though present, were restrained by the stoic presence of Amateru, who was often seen rolling her eyes at the inappropriate comments that would slip from Speamagu's lips.

Susaria had Susanoo's perfectionist attitude that always noticed flaws in others' appearance while also being straightforward and, while respectful towards his allies, had little understanding of human concepts. This was balanced with Sayo's quick-tempered, kind, cheerful and knowledgeable personality who was a very strong-willed; and Aria's personality of being heavily fashionable while the negative aspects of her jealousy, murderous intent, cruelty, maniacal insanity, ruthlessness, sadism, manipulative, petty, deceptive, and hypocritical traits of being a rich serial killer were suppressed as the negative traits were finally balanced out by being one with Sayo.

As Susaria took her place in the training circle, her eyes swept over her fellow warriors, critically assessing each of them. Her perfectionist streak was as sharp as the blade of her Teigu, and she had no qualms about pointing out any imperfections she saw. Yet, when her gaze fell on Sayo, she felt a strange warmth. It was as if the fiery goddess saw something in her that she had never noticed before- a spark of humanity that had been buried beneath layers of divine arrogance.

Her voice, a harmonious blend of Susanoo's solemnity and Sayo's cheerfulness called out instructions as they practiced their formations. "Tsugreyasu, tighten your grip! Your stance is too wide!" she exclaimed, a hint of a smile playing on her lips. The kindness in her words was a stark contrast to the unyielding standards she held, yet her comrades took it in stride, knowing she only sought to improve them.

Mapoco had Mashiro's personality of being very serious and strict, very intelligent and quick to think on the fly while having a compassionate side, Poney's cheerful, straightforward, and somewhat dimwitted nature, and Cornelia's big sister personality of a sharp, cheerful and determined young woman.

Mapoco's transformation was as dramatic as the fusion of her personalities. Her eyes, once filled with the innocence of Poney, now held the wisdom of Mashiro and the fiery determination of Cornelia. Her movements were swift and precise, a blend of Mashiro's tactical acuity and Poney's surprising agility. The lightness of her steps was a stark contrast to the heavy thuds of her mallet, a weapon that now reflected the might of her newfound power.

Rihiro had Rinzu's compassion and regal grace as a princess; Hinowa's caring, compassionate, and fairly intelligent personality of someone who wants world peace; and Iroha's pragmatic smarts.

In the training arena, Rihiro's presence was like a beacon of calm amidst the chaos. Her movements were a testament to Rinzu's regal poise, each step deliberate and filled with a grace that could only come from royal blood. Yet, there was a softness to her, a gentle touch that spoke of the kindness that lay within. Her eyes, a blend of Rinzu's warmth and Iroha's sharp intellect, scanned the battlefield with a clarity that unnerved her opponents. Her decisions were swift and precise, a reflection of the pragmatic mind she had inherited from her new ally.

Her voice, a harmony of Rinzu's soothing tones and Iroha's commanding sharpness, called out to her comrades, offering words of encouragement and advice. She was a natural leader, her compassion for others a beacon that drew people to her. Yet, it was her intelligence, that cold, calculating aspect of Iroha's personality, that allowed her to outthink and outmaneuver even the most cunning foes in junction with Hinowa's own wit to go with Rinzu's political savviness.

Tomomuri had Tobari's carefree attitude mixed with ambition and recklessness with a short temper, balanced by Nemuri's energetic and cheerful personality that wa cool-headed; and Moegi's laid-back, curious, surprising wit of well-developed intuition and senses, and lecherous lust.

Tomomuri's eyes snapped open as she felt the surge of power from her new Teigu, the Bag of Infinite Quantity, pulsating through her body. The room was bathed in a soft glow from the eye of Balor, which now resided in her palm. Her heart raced with excitement as she tested her new abilities, the energy of the Eye of Destruction and the Mallet of Magnitude resonating within her.

Her carefree laughter echoed through the corridors as she playfully swung the mallet, the weight of it feeling like a feather in her grasp. Yet, beneath the jest, there was a glimmer of ambition in her eyes, a reflection of the fiery determination that had driven Tobari to become the skilled warrior she was. The recklessness that had once gotten her into trouble now had a new outlet, tempered by Nemuri's cool-headedness. She was a whirlwind of destruction and creation, her every move a testament to the chaotic balance of her three merged personas.

Suhiku had Kumehachi's laidback pervertedness balanced by Suzumaru's soft-spoken and polite nature and Hisame's attitude of a very direct, honest, and straightforward hard worker. Rihiro and Suhiku were a couple- due to their components Rinzu and Hisame being lovers before the latter's death and Suzumaru having a crush on Hinowa.

Suihiku would be slapped for being too forward on Rihiro due to his Kumehachi aspect, but she quickly forgave him.

Their dynamic was a peculiar one, to say the least. Suhiku's playful nature and occasional inappropriate comments were a stark contrast to the regal poise of Rihiro. Yet, in the quiet moments between battles, when the two would find themselves alone, there was a tenderness that shone through. It was as if the echoes of their former lives had woven together an unbreakable bond. Rinzu's love for Hisame had been a secret kept hidden, a whisper in the shadows of the imperial court. Now, in this new form, it had been brought to light, albeit in an unexpected way.

Medober had Mez's easygoing nature that accepted death as part of the job with ease as well as a slightly childish streak, Doya's confident and cheerful personality that could be very intelligent, and Umber's stoic yet sadistic personality.

Medober observed how her skin was now a blend of the tan Umber and Mez and Doya's fair skin while commenting to her step-sister, Murasaki on how she's more well-endowed.

Medober's fusion had created a peculiar blend of personalities. Her eyes, which had once held the stoic gaze of Umber, now sparkled with a mischievous glint that was unmistakably Mez's. The childish streak that had once been a hallmark of Mez's demeanor was now tempered by Doya's unshakable confidence, making her a force to be reckoned with both on and off the battlefield. Her laughter was a delightful mix of Doya's infectious cheer and Mez's dark humor, leaving her comrades unsure whether to laugh with her or at her jokes.

As the group continued to train and grow stronger, the bond between them deepened. They shared stories of their past lives, their hopes, and their fears. Despite their diverse backgrounds, they found common ground in their quest to bring down the Great One and restore peace to the world. They fly across the city to engage their targets.

Tsurarahime looked with pride from afar.

Next Chapter: Perfect Warriors- The Yin and Yang Groups begin their mission to eliminate their targets while experimenting with their powers.

Author Notes: This chapter was very long and went very fast. I just wanted to get the fusion stuff out of the way so we can focus on the nitty-gritty of the story. A lot of interesting interactions will occur very soon due to the fusions being comprised of good, evil, and somewhere in between.

If you want to know how most of these guys came back. It's a Deus Ex Machina- literally, God decided to intervene to allow this to happen, but more will be revealed later.

Bols does get a happy ending, but it's bittersweet.
