Chapter 27: Vile

Nitheb Desert

One of the bandits went to tend to the fallen colleague but discovered they had a straight gun wound through the head. Yet there were no bullets fired. They then found water droplets.

Cassim, the leader, furrowed his brows. "How'd this happen?" he muttered to himself. The deserts were not well known for heavy rain showers.

"It's not rain, boss," said one of the bandits, kneeling beside the lifeless body. "It's... water from his wound."

"This must be the work of a special weapon user from another nation. What can we do? I thought these guys were easy marks to steal from.," noted another.

"Calm down. It's just something that will require more effort. Let's hope the Jin-Dōgu users can handle this. We lend them enough treasure to ensure their loyalty.," Cassim explained.

Over in the plateaus 5 kilometers away, the sniper noticed a flying carpet heading towards them.

"Oh, it's a little girl who did this? How despicable to use children.," remarked one of the chubber members on the carpet.

"Don't hog all the space, you're already weighing us down.," said a snappy female member.

The carpet dipped a little from the chubber's complaint but quickly stabilized as the pilot, a young and fit man, shot a glare back at them. "We're almost there. Stay focused," he warned.

He observed who the sniper was.

A young girl with short sea-green hair with her bangs parted to the side to reveal only her left eye dark red iris eyes and fair skin. She had a piranha fin tale emerging from her back and hints of having sharp teeth instead of normal ones. She wore a white tube top with a mini-skirt but segmented like insects.

Aqua- Heiress to the White Evil Beings of the Sea Life Division/Royal Guard of Vile.

She pulled her weapon- a large weapon that resembled a toy water gun.

She said nothing as she fired at the carpet, changing her target.

The water bullets shot out with surprising force, cutting through the air like miniature torpedoes.

To her annoyance, the carpet was able to swerve and dodge the strikes.

"Lord Vile. I will take the lives of these ingrates.," Aqua said as she controlled the floating bullets to maneuver towards the female's head. The young man pulled out a lamp and summoned a green genie entity to punch the bullets away.

"I take pride in my training and not being helpless. Till you came into my life. How dare you do that. I recognize your handiwork.," the young man noted.

"Whatever do you mean?," Aqua replied.

"So you can talk? My sister- you shot her down like nothing.," the young man spoke.

"Sore loser. Justice without power is worthless. Means you're weak.," Aqua replied.

"What the hell's your goal?," the young man asked.

Suddenly, a second cloaked figure appeared behind the carpet and with a flick of his arm, a powerful Ira blast obliterated the trio, even when the woman summoned chakrams and the young man summoned his genie.

"Chaos.," the cloaked figure replied as his hood was removed with the wind. It was a young man of average height with purple stripes running down each side of his face much like Insidious, but his golden horns were 90 degrees, his straight raven hair flowed down to his ankles, and his tail ended in a spiked stegosaur-like tail whipped upwards. He removed his cloak to reveal a topless upper torso, a pair of white with silver lining fingerless gloves with yellow reptilian eyes where the knuckles are imprinted on the knuckle area, and as well as a pair of white baggy pants with two sections each with a set of three straps on each leg and shoes with two eyes protruding from the toes. He also wears a white belt embedded with the Five Point Star and the straps are lined with it as well. A five-pointed star pattern is also found in the medium-sized gauge stud earrings he wears.

Vile- 4th Child of the Great One.

Vile spoke to Aqua who was still on the ground, "Good shot, but remember, they are only pawns. Don't get too attached to the idea of a challenge. Your skills are wasted on these common bandits." His tone was light and approving, yet the underlying current of his words was as cold as the steel of a sword.

Aqua blushed at the words of encouragement.

Vile's smile was like the moon on a starless night, a beacon of deception amidst the dark. His followers saw him as a savior, a leader who had plucked them from the jaws of death and offered them a purpose. Yet, in his heart, he regarded them as mere pawns in his grand scheme. A means to an end, not as the loyal companions they believed themselves to be.

Except for a notable exception in Alba, the Heir to the White Evil Being Avian Division.

Cassim felt unease before turning around to see his men all killed.

It was done by an above-average-sized winged knight with vaguely avian motifs. His small helmet had a purple ponytail and two purple ris eyes peered from behind the eyeholes of the featureless face cover. His feet had three talons while his hands were platinum fingerless gloves with mechanical-like fingers. Two metallic wings grew on his back with the wings made of purple energy.

Alba- Heir of the White Evil Beings of the Avian Division/Royal Guard of Vile.

He cut down the bandit before looking into the distance as his minions attacked the capital.

Nitheb Capital

"So what's the report?," asked a blue-haired young woman with light-blue iris eyes wearing a white school uniform with segmented motifs.

Bluejay- 10th commander of Alba's Unit.

"The bosses are keeping the Jin-Dogū users busy. We're taken control of all infrastructures via our worshipers' connections. While the Great One despises humans, he doesn't understand when some can be helpful. We'll be facing the royal guard soon. They will be dealt with swiftly.," said a crane humanoid with a white kasa and white kimono- both segmented.

Crane- 9th commander of Alba's Unit.

"We used to be Solar-Flor's pawns, but now under the new boss, nothing but every grain of sand, every drop of water, and every piece of land belongs to him.," said Bluejay.

"I see. I see. Sounds interesting. Long may he reign.," said another member- a young man with metallic-gray hair and steel-based wings on his back. He also wore a school uniform like Bluejay, but his attire was more loosely worn in comparison.

Stymphal- 8th commander of Alba's Unit.

Bluejay looked at him with boredom.

"Say, let's make a game of killing how many civilians. What da ya say?," asked Stymphal, but both were disinterested.

He then noticed a man and impulsively used his wings to cut him, but the skin was too hard as he backed away.

"I was hoping to cut some of your flesh, but it seems like you're unfortunately a pain in the ass.," said the metallic-winged youth.

"What an uncouth lowlife.," remarked the burly man as he generated his Jinn Dogū, dual rings of fire.

Stymphal looked at a bystander female and lecherously licked his chops.

"Seeing that woman there- makes me feel like I'm on cloud nine!," Stymphal said as he thrust his crotch suggestively much to the discomfort of his colleagues.

"Don't look at me like that. I'm honest.," he added as he saw his enemy look at him with revulsion.

I haven't heard from the boss. Could it be?, thought the burly man.

"Bingo. Your vanguard's dead and now you'll join them soon enough.," the metallic bird replied as if reading his mind as he manipulated his wing to strike the burly man.

The burly man dodged and threw his fiery ring with surprising agility to distract the bird boy and countered with a fierce punch, but Stymphal was ready. He summoned a steel blade from one of his wing feathers and blocked the attack with ease. The clang of their attacks echoed through the deserted street, sending sparks flying into the afternoon.

As the two avians observed the fight, suddenly a malnourished child bumped into Bluejay, which annoyed the latter.

"This urchin just happened to be in the way.," she said as she kicked the kid but she managed to dodge, which led her to pin the girl.

"I like you. You should be an Evil Being.," Bluejay said as she pulled out a purple vial.

"Whatever you're doing. Don't you-," the burly man said before Stymphal slashed him from behind.

"People who look dangerous in the face are interesting and a little polish will lead that potential to blossom-," she said before the child was shot through the head by a purple condensed Ira.

"And all the more reason to have them dead. They have an annoying tendency for being goodie-two-shoes.," said a familiar voice.

It was Alba flying down with Vile and the other 12 members with Aqua being missing for some reason.

Suddenly, the dead child got up to his annoyance.

"I'm borrowing this body.," said the child in Aqua's voice. She was using a variation of Fraus to phase and then possess a tangible host.

"You're wasting your time, pipsqueak.," Alba remarked before seeing a soldier who had managed to survive.

"You guys screwed up.," he said to Bluejay and Crane who both shivered at the potential punishment they might get later on.

"Is attacking our city your idea of justice? That's fucking insane.," said a soldier with a scimitar that was emitting powerful winds.

"Justice? I don't know what you mean.," Aqua said as the host grabbed a dagger and lunged forward to attack the young man. He hesitated, allowing her to pin him down.

"Give up.," she said as she poised herself to give the finishing blow.

"Coward. Get out of her body.," the man demanded.

"Cowardice is the strength of the weak. Allowing me to do what your brave idiots dare not do. Justice may not be real, but Law is reason and rationality intersects without the meddling of petty emotions. Conviction of one's beliefs and Law is the authority of those in power. Defying both for the sake of others is pointless. I execute that kind of Law for my king. Using whatever methods get results. Eliminating those who stand in the way of his rising tyranny.," she replied as she slit his throat.

"Killing in cold blood under orders...so cruel...," the soldier remarked as his vision blurred.

Vile clapped his hands as he then patted Aqua. He then twisted the neck of the host as she left the host's body.

"So can we go back? I want to find that Incursio-fused bitch.," said Lanza, a well-built youth with black, spiky hair standing straight up with a single hair bang on the side. He wore a white tank top and baggy pants. He also had a pair of four arms and pointy ears.

Lanza- Heir to the White Warrior Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

Vile glared at him, forcing Lanza to his knees.

"No, Lan. I'm gonna get these guys on our side.," said the prince as he glared at him coldly like a cosmically immense entity.

Lanza felt a shiver run down his spine. Vile was not one he could just boss around. He was just a subordinate, nothing more.

"O-of course.," the multi-armed man replied.

"The duty of the powerful is to ensure the weak don't have any ideas about rising the ranks and understand their place.," replied a chimera of humans, eagles, and horses with a muscular body that had large feathery wings, a hunkish human face and a lower torso of a four-legged horse. His "macho" head had a thick, cleft chin, prominent lips and long, flowing orange hair. His face also had a well-defined jawline and sparkling gray iris eyes with long eyelashes. His tone was effeminate and campy.

Eurytion- Heir to the White U.L.F. Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

"No, that's wrong. It's to ensure that the weak are protected.," said a voice as a massive mechanical warrior- designed after a desert king arose from the depths of the city. It wore a bronze mitre, wore Arabic-styled royal garbs, and wielded a large scimitar that was miles long.

"Isn't that the thing Solar-Flor was working on?," asked Lanza.

"I am the rightful heir. So many innocents were pointlessly taken. Now take this- the Jinn-Dogu, Ala.," said the voice within the massive machine.

"So naive and prideful. I thought that the boss was an elitist. But this sounds like a real gem.," said Eurytion with a wink, which creeped out Lanza and Alba to a lesser extent.

"The Vizar? He tossed me aside when he realized he couldn't control me, but now I have the power to-," the voice said before the mecha began to quake.

"W-what's going on?," asked the voice as the mecha was then compressed violently into a gradually condensed metal sphere as blood poured out. Vile then sighed as it heavily implied he used powerful psionics to telekinetically kill the user of the giant robot.

"Boring, moving on.," Vile replied.

"What a shame. But, you have to discard the deadweight if they're a hindrance. And let them rot away where no one can-," Eurytion remarked with a smile before noticing Vile glaring at him with contempt.

"I-I meant nothing in regard to your situation. It's just in general with the humans.," the centaur apologized.

Vile and his siblings had been trapped for centuries under the ground, unable to be born till recently as their captive mothers had been tortured and unable to birth them till they were finally free.

"We have no time for your games, Eurytion. We need to move swiftly. Pops will be expecting results," Vile said sternly, his eyes never leaving the shrunken metal sphere that was once a potential hope for the people before squashing it.

Nitheb Desert Tavern

Two people cloaked met in a tavern.

The tension in the room was palpable as the dusty cloaks of the two figures huddled over their drinks at the far corner of the Nitheb Desert Tavern. The dim light cast shadows on their faces, obscuring their identities from the patrons, who were all too busy with their own troubles to notice the quiet conversation unfolding.

"Here's the dossier of this next target. Our plans with the Vizar's execution have been upended due to these Freaks killing our recon group and the guys we stationed to protect the capital.," reported the first figure.

"This will come in handy.," replied the second figure.

"Enshin that pig came from the country of Wakoku, his sister, Saiha hated his guts too, this guy came and stole the Teigu, a gift from the Emperor detailing our alliance, the teigu Shamshir, and it really helped us out.," the first figure noted.

"The past is the past. We have to continue focusing on the intel of the now with no agendas like personal vengeance.," the second figure replied.

"More booze! Give 'em here!," said the first figure as the second figure was embarrassed.

The barkeeper slammed the drinks down in annoyance.

"Thank you.," the first one said as they guzzled it down.

The second one got up from their seat.

"Let's get over there.," said the second one.

"kay.," responded the first as they left a tip.

The two then vanished from the tavern.

Nitheb Capital

The 15 Evil Beings walked through the carnage their subordinates had wrought on the capital.

"Good work, guys. Now, let's see if the royal guard is as disappointing as their late comrades," Vile said, his voice as smooth as silk over the bodies of his foes.

"What're you doing?" asked Lanza as he looked at the young piranha girl crouching down in an alley.

Her heart felt a strange twinge. It was a rare moment of compassion that surprised even herself. She rarely felt this way towards non-Evil Beings. While Danger Beasts comprised a large portion of the animals, there were still normal creatures such as horses, dogs, cats, etc.

"I don't like you, but just try this., she said as she gave the puppy a piece of meat from a deceased vendor.

The puppy took the meat, wagging its tail, and the innocence in its eyes washed over Aqua like a cool wave.

Alba's eyes twitched angrily.

He walked up to the puppy with an inhumanely apathetic look of contempt.

"W-what're you d-doing?," asked Aqua.

From his right palm, Alab generated a chain with a steel ball, clammed the cuff around the puppy's neck, and kicked the poor animal into the desert.

"W-What the f-fuck was that?!" Aqua yelled as she took a step forward, her eyes flashing with a fury she hadn't felt in a long time.

"Let's see how you can survive that Fido! Akuikuikui! Such is the power of Injustice!," he boasted while laughing with a deranged distortion on his facial features, his eyes becoming diamonds with oval-shaped pupils temporarily.

"Alba, what's your deal? That was unnecessary," Aqua said, her voice cold and sharp as ice.

"D-damn bastard. T-try that again and I-I'll kill you!," Aqua argued.

Aqua, her personality of being a loyal dog switches to a wallflower when not in battle. That kind of mentality makes her weak., Alba noted internally.

"What's the matter, little fish? Getting soft?" Alba sneered, his tone dripping with condescension.

She then dashed into the desert much to his confusion and came back with the puppy. Alba's expression was a mix of fear and frustration.

"M-Maybe this one can be a fine Evil Being.," Aqua remarked to herself.

"So your kind is capable of compassion?" said a voice as they suddenly appeared- two cloaked figures.

"Are these guys like members of the Royal Guard?" asked Lanza.

Vile smirked.

"You guys seem to be against us destroying this place of corruption. I have someone to meet and no time to play with ya guys.," he spoke.

The two cloaked figures stepped forward, their boots echoing in the desolate street.

"We got an issue that you killed the bystanders. We're killers on the side of the people.," said the first- revealing herself to be a dark-skinned woman with orange-iris eyes, wavy back-length brown hair, a mole under her right eye, and wearing a red belly-dancer outfit with a red scarf.

Dunyazad- Day Assault.

The second revealed herself to be a dark-skinned young woman with a black bob-cut hairstyle, wearing a tube-top of purple coloring and a wisteria cloth covering her waist.

Scheherazade- Day Assault.

"So that's who those guys were.," Vile noted aloud, referring to the people with Jin-Dogū the Evil Beings had killed.

The air grew tense as the two sides faced each other, the Evil Beings' eyes gleaming with malice, while the Day Assault members' gazes remained steady and determined.

The Royal Guard then appeared from the inside of the castle along with a weasely-looking man in regal robes with a curly beard. They had a wide array of body types, genders, and attire.

Jafar- Current King of Nitheb

"And that's who I need to see. Iblis.," Vile stated, not paying attention to the weasely man, but the sudden appearance in a flashy sand storm, which generated an imposing figure.

Accompanying him was a large man with a thick purple beard and mustache that almost covered his face. He wears a black royal sherwani with a dark turban. His unique features were his light blue irises with blackened sclerae and hints that his mouth was wider than a normal man's and filled with sharp teeth. He was about as tall as one of the minarets, making way above a human's height.

Iblis- South Great One.

Vile took a step back as the gravity of the situation sank in. The South Great One himself had come to the battlefield. The air was thick with tension as the two sides faced each other.

Vile then bowed down.

"I have a request from my father, the Center Great One to make an alliance with you.," Vile stated with uncharacteristic politeness.

Iblis chuckled, the sound sending chills down everyone's spine.

"You must be Nefarious' boy. Come. Come.," the figure spoke.

Vile felt a tingle of excitement and fear run down his spine as he approached the South Great One.

"Hey. Hey. Don't let sudden plot twists ruin this situation. You need to answer for your crimes- both you and the weasel there!," Dunyazad stated.

"Oi, Iblis. Do something!" complained Jafar as he noticed his larger associate.

"Ours was an alliance to corrupt this nation. Now a larger calling is upon me.," he replied.

"Vile. I assume your men can...clean up.," the imposing tyrant said as he turned into sand as he entered the place.

Vile nodded as his form phased into the earth before Day Assault could stop him.

"Well, that was unexpected. Guess we have to deal with both of these guys.," said Scheherazade.

"Let's go. We can't let them get away with this.," Dunyazad responded, her voice filled with determination.

"Dunyazad- she has the power of cloth manipulation via her Jinn-Dogū and Scheherazade has the powers of dust manipulation via the same methods.," Aqua observed.

"And you're the little fish that killed the boss' sister.," Dunyazad replied.

"I can't remember every job I do. Must've been something petty.," the fish girl remarked.

"Petty or not, you're going to pay," Dunyazad said as she wrapped her scarf around her hand and transformed it into a whip of fabric, crackling with energy.

"That's so arrogant.," Aqua said before her other cloaked colleagues appeared in front of her.

"We can handle some human rebel scum.," said the figure as they revealed themselves to be a short girl with golden eyes and long pink hair with rounded tips. She wore a white segmented dress with long white gloves and go-go boots.

Cherubi- Heiress to the White Divine Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

She then saw the Royal Guard- a man with a top-heavy torso with a pair of shovels, an obese man with a scorpion tail whip, a beautiful woman with snake-hair clops, an effeminate man with a half-domino mask, a short dwarf hiding in a jar, a young woman with dual daggers, and their leader, a stoic man wearing a multitude of weapons.

"Eww, heathens.," she said as she fired a beam to obliterate the Royal Guard.

"They may be professionally trained, but they're still humans.," Lanza noted.

"That's where you're wrong. They're more than just humans. We tried to kill them before.," Dunyazad said with a smirk.

Cherubi was pulled down by the top-heavy man who had tunneled into the ground, avoiding the attack.

Bahri- Royal Guard of Nitheb.

"Yes, but so is Cherubi. Especially her.," Alba remarked.

"Damn pervert!" she screamed as she entered into her Gula form instantly- a large white priestly robe with long arms, a set of eight golden wings covered with golden iris eyes, a centaur-esque eldritch lower torso of a bovine, and four heads- one on each serpentine neck- a total of four. The heads were that of an eagle, bull, lion, and man respectively.

"Hayyot.," she declared as she waved her arm, generating a holy energy arc that wiped out a quarter of the capital along with 7 kilometers of desert, leaving a gaping crevasse.

The Royal Guard looked at the destruction with shock and horror.

She generated a set of seven horns, each one blowing a divine hymn as they caused devastating destruction in the capital.

The city trembled beneath the power of Hayyot as buildings crumbled and the air filled with dust. The Royal Guard watched in awe as the power of the Evil Beings was unleashed.

Alba whistled at the display of power.

Jafar collapsed in terror at the sight.

The obese man, Zafer attempted to use his poison-laden whip; the beautiful woman, Hamida, attempted to use her snake hair transformation to petrify her; the effeminate man, Tahsin, attempted to generate a curse via his mask Jin-Dogū, the dwarf, Saad, attempted to teleport to stab her from behind; the young girl, Rashida, attempted to use her daggers' telekinesis to stab her; and the leader, Aladdin, attempted to use his multiple Jin-Dogū to turn into his armored form to boost his offensive powers.

Unfortunately, they were vaporized by her divine might.

Their bodies turned to dust as the Hayyot's power was too much for them to handle. The once bustling city of Nitheb Capital now echoed with silence, except for the occasional cough and whimpers from the survivors buried in the rubble.

Her bullhead had noticed that the remaining members of Day Assault had fled tactically to fight another day.

Cherubi then turned back to her usual base form.

"To make my divine presence be used so casually. How blasphemous.," she remarked.

"Gotta make due to make sure that His Majesty is happy.," Eurytion replied as the other members revealed themselves.

A male in a pointed wizard hat, white robes, and a face completely obscured by his hat/high collar except for two purple orbs in the black space exposed by the intersection of the hat and collar.

Warlock- Heir to the White Sorcerer Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A well-proportioned, tall, slender woman with a curved figure and large breasts. She had long blonde hair that goes past her waist and golden eyes with reptilian slits. She wore a white segmented military coat over a sailor girl's uniform that exposed her stomach. Her inhuman features were the large draconic wings on her back and a long golden-scaled serpentine tail.

Hydra- Heir to the White Reptile Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A small young teenage girl in white lolita clothing, black drill-like pigtails, and heterochromatic eyes of red and white colors.

Shirome- Heir to the White Undead Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A pale-colored clown with an eerie mask-like face with downward curved eyes, a red nose, and an unnerving smile, his body had long arms, large clawed gloved hands, a barbed tail, wings emerging from his back, and long legs ending in goat hooves. His outfit consisted of a hat divided into three points ending in bells, wore a segmented diamond, club, spade, and heart pattern shirt with a ruffled collar round shoulders, and a row of elongated point extensions at the end of the bottom of the shirt, long-legged pants with the same spade, diamond, club, and heart pattern.

Pierro- Heir to the White Hellspanw Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A small pale, young girl with light blue hair and matching blue eyes. She wore a large hat with snowflake-shaped tassels, a large white cloak, and a white robe all segmented in design. For some uncanny reason, she looked very much like Esdeath as a child.

Blizzard- Heir to the White Elemental Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A slender yet slightly muscular young man-like humanoid with a melancholic look on his face, bleach white skin, and a long segmented sickly green rodent tail coming from his tailbone. He had yellow eyes with slit-like pupils and black sclera; his eyes had large eye rings and thin eyebrows. He wore a long white, segmented jacket with long coattails and thin long pants with skull pattern trims of a black color.

Ratking- Heir to the White Beast Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

An androgynous boy with bright pink long hair and brown iris eyes. He wore a normal white, segmented uniform with an opening in the middle to expose his navel. Roses with thorn stems extended from his arms, limbs, and back, revealing his inhuman heritage.

Rose- Heir to the White Plant Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A slender, medium-sized male with steel-gray, short hair rectangular glasses, and a high collar that covered his mouth, but otherwise, his white business outfit was typically normal. His hands seemed to be crafted and artificial, hinting at a robotic nature.

Jinzo- Heir to the White Golem Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

A tall slender male with a black/yellow bob-cut haircut, long, thin antennae with red lipstick, and no visible nose. He wore a simple, segmented suit with a yellow/black tie. Two large, silver compound wings grew on his back and his eyes had large black irises that seemed to be made up of small hexagons at a closer inspection.

Wasp- Heir to the White Insectoid Evil Beings/Royal Guard of Vile.

The group looked around, assessing the destruction. The once proud capital was now a desolate wasteland, a testament to the power of the Evil Beings.

They then saw Vile exit with Iblis, both having bruises, implying a sparring match to see the former's worthiness.

"He's agreed to lend his forces to our war on Heaven.," he replied.

Vile smirked in anticipation while thinking of how it would potentially lead him to becoming king.

Next Chapter: Insidious- Insidious is tasked with dealing with the West and resolving the issue with the Kaisrein

Author Notes: This was mainly to introduce Vile and his group- a faction that will be a major player in the final fight. Aqua and maybe a few others might not be as bad as most of the members. Day Assault was the Southern equivalent to Night Raid. Nitheb is named after the Nile and Thebes while having motifs of Arabia. Iblis is named after the Islamic king of evil Jinn, so it fits with the South Great One's naming scheme.
