Percy's POV -
I couldn't believe it—tomorrow, I'd be marrying my fiancée, my partner in crime, the love of my life. My wise girl. It felt surreal, like I'd slipped into some alternate reality where everything was normal, except for the fact that Greek mythology was still trying to kill me.
Just a few days ago, I'd been wrestling with the concept of old age—literally— who would've guessed I'd be grappling with Gary himself? But after all those years of battling monsters and outsmarting gods, here I was, on the brink of the next chapter of my life.
I remember when I used to imagine me, Annabeth, and Grover, old and gray, reminiscing about our ridiculous escapades, swapping stories over cups of ambrosia like we were some kind of demigod retirement squad. It was a dream I never really thought would come true. But now... now it's actually happening.
Tomorrow, instead of facing off against a Titan or dodging whatever monstrous creature decides to crash my wedding, I'll be standing in front of my favorite person, saying "I do." I just hope our honeymoon doesn't involve any ancient curses or a surprise visit from a jealous god. Because if wrestling old age taught me anything, it's that some things are way harder than they look!
This, this was way harder than it looked, I didn't have to do much just make a huge promise to Annabeth, well, that was easy, it was the actual marriage part, that was hard.
Annabeth's POV -
I can't believe it. Tomorrow, I'm marrying Percy freaking Jackson. The thought sends a shiver of excited nerves down my spine, and I worry that if I think about it too long, I might either burst into tears or throw up—in a good way, of course. I glance at all the decorations still needing to be finished, and between the tulle and fresh flowers, I can't help but smile.
Grover is busy organizing the seating arrangements—if anyone can talk a rogue satyr and a few nymphs into behaving, it's him. Best man? Of course. Who else would weave in nature-themed jokes about love and trees at the most inappropriate moments? I wouldn't trade him for anything—he's been with us since the beginning.
Then there's Clarisse, my Maid of Honor. Yeah, I know it sounds crazy. But if there's anyone who can keep me grounded while I'm in a whirlwind of wedding chaos, it's her. Not to mention, her battle strategies for surviving weddings are second to none. I can just picture her, rolling her eyes and muttering something about how we should just charge into the ceremony like it's a battle—a sentiment Percy secretly loves. And of course, her husband, Chris Rodriguez, is also going to be a groomsman. I know the two of them will keep everyone on their toes—though I have no doubt Chris will be diplomatically trying to smooth any ruffled feathers.
Thalia is on bridesmaid duty too, radiating her usual fierce loyalty and strength. I know she'll keep the mood light. If anyone can keep things from getting too mushy or chaotic, it's her, and I appreciate her for it. Plus, the fact that she's ditching her chainmail for a dress makes me laugh.
Tyson is our other groomsman and Percy's half-brother. I'm so grateful that he's here to support us, even amidst the chaos of wedding planning. It may not be the most traditional choice for the wedding party, but who would ever dare to leave out a Cyclops, especially one with such a big heart? Plus, I can't wait to see him in his tux—he'll look so cute!
And then there's our final bridesmaid, who I decided needed to be none other than Piper McLean. She's the perfect mix of elegance and charm, and I know she'll shine as bright as her magical charmspeak. I can already hear her laughter and see her smile, radiating warmth as she helps keep everything in check with that effortless grace of hers.
And of course, Mr. Brunner—Chiron himself—will be officiating our ceremony. No pressure, right? I couldn't imagine anyone else guiding us through this moment. He's been a mentor and a father figure to both of us, and having him there adds a touch of gravitas that makes my heart swell.
Lastly, there's Estelle, my tiny flower girl. She may be little, but that girl has an epic spirit. I'm just hoping she doesn't toss the petals too wildly and take out a few guests in the process.
As I mentally check the list one more time, I realize how fortunate I am to have this ragtag family standing by us. Tomorrow isn't just about me and Percy—it's about all of us, a blend of demigods, monsters, and everything in between finally coming together for something beautiful.
I take a deep breath, letting the excitement settle in my chest. Deep down, amid the chaos, I'm ready. Ready to say "I do," ready to embrace the unknown with my favorite person, and, most importantly, ready to start this wild new adventure as a married couple. Whatever tomorrow throws at us, I know we'll face it together.
