Part 10 - Arriving in Town

A/N; Before I write this chapter, I need to tell you that this chapter is about the Cullens with the Denali's in tow are arriving but also Bella's mother and step-father... And thank you all for your comments so far. I am though after being done with this and the other with Hermione and Neville if I am not taking it down all completely, then to re-write my old stories... What do you think of that idea? Though It will take time to do them all though. So have patience and grace please. Now onto the chapter shall we?

Few days went by since Bella's unplanned, surprising visit to La Push, and its Elders. She just wished that the man who killed her father and had threatened her life aswell when he killed her father in cold-blood, was caught and behind bars if not already on the table to be excuted from this life all together.

Dan and Bella were also on their own planning for their upcoming wedding day, as they planned it to be in the next fall sometime, as they both love fall season, and it was a beautiful time to have one aswell. His team kept the two updated with whatever they had on the case of Charlie's murderer and so forth.

It was still kept under wraps on who the murderer was to everyone in town, as they didn't want any of them to help the murderer out somehow or some ways to keep him on the run for too long, even though it had been now almost 2 weeks, and the funeral of Charlie was tomorrow.

Bella had sent out a letter with an invitation to her wayward mother and step-father of Charlie's funeral, and if they were going to show up was no guesses as Bella knew her mother did everything to avoid being in Forks in first place for some unknown reasons. She had claimed to Bella that it was for how stuffy, small and dreary the town itself was, but Bella had a feeling it was something else that kept her from even coming around the place after all these years gone.

Either way, the day of the funeral had arrived, and Bella had her only black dress that was covering her shoulders and went underneath her knees, and she had low heels of shoes on, and Dan knowing her too well by now, had packed her other clothes for later to wear after the funeral, as he too had packed few of his own with it to wear afterwards, for like her, he hated wear these things, but he would do it for the sake of the funeral itself.

He smiled softly, as he then kissed her gently, and stroking her cheek, it gave her the strength to do this today, with him by her side, and when they arrived first of everyone at church, there was Reverend Webber waiting on them, and he gave the two a soft smile and look, and he greeted them by grasping their hands in his, and said

"I am here for you, Bella, and you too, Daniel." And that made the two smile and Bella gave the man she had seen as an extra father through all of this and the bond she had with his daugther was of a sister bond, a warm hug and thank you whispered in his ear. Dan just held her waist from that point onwards, as they were shown to their seats upfront of the church, and then the doors to the church was opened up, so the guests that were coming today could come inside and sit down, where it was not booked for family, which was the two front rows.

Bella had told Anthony if her mother and step-father were showing up, he was to put them on the other row that was booked for family, as Bella wanted to sit on her own with Daniel by her side, and he was just happy to do so, as he knew of her relationship with her mother was more distant and cold than before, so he would put her mother and step-father on the other row.

The teams of Dan and the one from New York was also here, but further back, both for support but also for security. It made Bella feel safe here to, and Dan had his own weapon to use if necessary so she felt safe with him aswell, as she also knew how to shoot if she had the need to defend themselves from someone in the church or later afterwards, hopefully it wouldn't be necessary to happen.

As they sat there, talking in soft tones, her mother and step-father did come around and were lead to the other side of front row, and sat down. Dan saw them and told Bella, who just shook her head at his unasked question, her greeting to her mother and step-father could wait until after the ceremony. Meanwhile Renee and Phil were staring or glaring over at the two. But confused of who the man that was with Bella today at her side.

Soon the church was filled, even those Cullens and those Denali's were inside, while most did not know who they were, those who knew of the Cullens, were glaring at them from time to time. Jessica and Lauren both went up to where Bella was sitting, and Bella gave the two a smile of thanks, aswell a hug of thanks for coming today. She was a good friend to them both, after all this tentative time, and her time of being broken hearted by Edward, had made them alot closer, and they also greeted Dan with warm happiness and congratulated on their engagement.

After that they took their own seats, and Reverend Weber stood up in the front, after giving a soft look and smile towards already crying Bella now, he let the bells ring out for the ceremony to begin.
