Hi! This is my first chapter, and so therefore it's not brilliant, but it's something.

Hope you enjoy it!

Isabella Silence

P.S. Val is about 19 in this one!

She looked at him with anger coursing through her veins. "Skulduggery, for the last time, I DON'T WEAR PINK AND I NEVER WILL!" Valkyrie held up a hot pink jacket Ghastly had made for her, and it wasn't his fault she now held this obnoxiously pink jacket. Fletcher chuckled. "I know that, but maybe if you just put it on–" Skulduggery never got to finish that sentence because Valkyrie chucked the jacket at him, and Skulduggery turned to face her. " No need to be mean."

Just before Valkyrie launched her self at Skulduggery, she froze. "Steph! We're home!" Skulduggery's head tilted towards the door. "Fletcher, get Skulduggery out of here!" Valkyrie hissed. Fletcher hesitated, as if he was going to leave them there, but decided against it and Skulduggery took hold of his arm. Just as Fletcher was about to Teleport out of there, they heard a gasp. "Oh good god." And with that, Fletcher and Skulduggery vanished, taking Valkyrie's confidence with them. "Stephanie... how did they just vanish? And was he a-a-a skeleton?"

"Mum, I-" Just before she had to try explain what just happened, Fletcher, Skulduggery and Geoffrey Scrutinous appeared beside Valkyrie. Skulduggery had his façade on, and Geoffrey walked straight up to Melissa, doing what he was good at. Valkyrie turned to Fletcher, hugging him and thanking him tremendously. "Close one," Fletcher smirked, and Valkyrie hit him across the face. "Don't even, Fletcher," She warned, and Fletcher shut up.

Geoffrey left with Fletcher and Skulduggery, leaving Valkyrie with her parents. She smiled, knowing tha everything was going to work out.

About three hours later

The reflection was out of the mirror, and Valkyrie was at Skulduggery's house, working on a case. "Would you like to be helpful?" Skulduggery asked, hoping to get Valkyrie off the couch. "Fiiiiine," she groaned, heaving herself off the couch. She knelt down, sifting through papers. She realised, then and ther, that this is where she was meant to be.
