A/N: I was feeling depressed earlier this week, and I hadn't written a Sonouge fic in a while, so this was born.
It was partly cloudy on this particular Friday when Rouge the Bat headed for Azure Lake Zone, more precisely to the southern part where a certain cabin and a garage were located. This was the residence of Sonic the Hedgehog and his soul brother Miles "Tails" Prower. As soon as she set alight at the front door, she knocked. Soon enough, Sonic came to the front door, albeit with a frown on his face.
"Hey Rouge."
Rouge frowned. "Sonic, is something wrong? You don't look too happy to see me."
"Don't get me wrong, I'm glad you're here; it's just…I need to talk."
Rouge nodded. "OK."
Rouge entered the cabin, and Sonic closed the door behind her.
"So, what's on your mind?" asked Rouge.
Sonic sighed. "It's about Tails. Lately, it seems like he's more interested in spendin' time with his girlfriend than with me. Don't get me wrong, I can dig the fact that Tails has other friends besides me; it's just…sometimes, I'm really excited to hang out with him and he ain't there."
Rouge put a hand over her heart. "I'm sorry to hear you're going through that. I may not know exactly how you feel, but I get lonely without Shaddy sometimes, too. If you need me, I'm here for you, Big Blue."
Rouge put a hand on Sonic's shoulder, which got him to smile.
"Thanks, Mama. That means a lot to me."
Rouge smiled. "You're welcome! Now let me give you an Extra-Special Hedgie Huggle!"
Rouge gave Sonic a huggle, which he gladly returned, causing him to purr. In the past, he wouldn't have been so inclined to get into a relationship, but she was different. Aside from her voluptuous good looks, she had a flirty, sassy attitude that was the perfect match to his cool cockiness, but more to the point, he found that deep down inside, she too had a heart of gold. While it wasn't often he felt sad, he valued those times when she was there for him to assure him that everything was going to be OK, and feeling her arms wrapped around him in addition to her cheek pressing against his, not to mention the soft, warm cuddliness of her body, he knew things were going to be all right no matter what. He couldn't imagine letting go of her for any other girl.
Similarly, Rouge couldn't imagine breaking up with Sonic for any other guy. Sure, she enjoyed flirting with guys and teasing them, but none of them could really leave her satisfied like he could. Not only was he able to take her cheeky nature like a champ, but he made her feel all tingly when he gave it back to her. Of course, she too had times where she needed someone to comfort her, and knowing that he was more than willing to be there for her meant more to her than words could describe. Hearing him purr was a nice bonus for her, too. All she wanted to do right now was wrap him up in a blanket, cozy up to him and whisper sweet, romantic things to him as she wrapped her arms around him. She kept holding on to him as long as she could, not letting go until he did.
"Feeling better, Big Blue?"
"Way past better! Thank you so much; I feel like a billion Mobiums right now!"
"You're welcome, sweetie!"
"Anyways, before ya go anywhere, mind if I ask ya a favor?"
Rouge nodded. "Go ahead?"
"Can I pin ya against the wall and smooch your brains out?"
Rouge chuckled. "We could…or I could pin you."
Rouge wrapped her arms around Sonic, spun him around and pinned him against the wall as she kissed him, and he wrapped her arms around her as well. He didn't mind surrendering control to her, either; in fact, that was one of the things he liked about her: her ability to take charge.
Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
