Hey y'all Whiskey here. So, this is my first fic I've ever published and a crossover at that! All the ones I've ever written were written by little me so hopefully older me can get this done right. Honestly, I've always wanted to write but I've never really had any of the time to chase that dream. Well now I do so sit back relax and enjoy In A World of Our Own! (FYI, I own nothing, but the storyline and any possible OC's and all rights go to JKR or Uncle Rick)
PERCY POV
What if. These two words can get you into a lot of trouble. Some of it good and some of it bad. For me though well those words make up a lot of my life nowadays.
We won the Titan War, lost some friends, gained others. The Giant War came and went, and shit happened. We lost Jason, Reyna and Thalia are gods know where, and I'm on my deathbed. Cancer is a bitch am I right? At least maybe I'll see Wise Girl again, right?
WRONG. Got news for you kids. Sometimes your type is the wrong one. They'll manipulate you for years only to literally stab you where it hurts, or in my case your mortal point. Turns out Annabeth still loved Luke, apparently enough to kill Grover and tell Luke where my mortal point was. Luckily, I found his first. Annabeth was sentenced to Tartarus with no chance for "parole." How does that even work by the way? (don't ask me Hades apparently thought it was funny)
Either way here I am alone. No friends left, only Mrs. O'Leary is alive from the golden years of the gods. As I draw what feels like my last breath, I see a flash of green and hear a loud crack from the corner of my room. My only thought as I succumb to the darkness is "too late suckers!"
3rd person POV
As Hecate stood over the body of Percy Jackson, she couldn't help but feel pity in her immortal heart for the poor demigod. She had hoped to offer him a new life far away from the pain the gods seemed to bring to the greatest of their heroes. She resolved then to go and talk to Poseidon and eventually the council about what they could do for the poor old man. As she flashed to the council room, she was shocked to see that the council was already in session.
"WHO DAR- oh its you Hecate, just the Titaness we wanted to see." Zeus boomed.
Quickly bowing before the Olympians, Hecate answered "Of course my lord but may I ask how you knew that I was coming?"
"We didn't," Hera admitted. "But we had just agreed on summoning you."
"May I inquire as to why my queen?" "The Fates have decreed that we are to send a champion to a different timeline that they oversee." Apollo answered.
"Well why would you need me?" Hecate asked confusedly.
"Because girl, in this timeline magic reigns as the predominant focal point of the world." The threefold voice of the sisters of Fate resounded through the throne room of the gods. "We have seen fit to choose a champion for you to bless to go and live a life in this universe to keep the balance there."
Hecate paled because it was then she realized who the champion was going to be. "Really!? After all he's been through? You'll send him just as he found his eternal reward?"
"SILENCE CHILD FOR YOU KNOW NOT OF WHICH YOU SPEAK! The boy was but a babe when we saw the places his string would go. Even after we measured his life, we foresaw his soul going on to perform great feats. It is in this world that he will find the everlasting peace and security he fought for all his life."
"Hecate this is what needs to happen. I have been shown a glimpse of what he will go on to do in this world and it will make him extremely happy. After the Owl-spawn broke his heart, only the Seven were ever able to maintain a place in it for very long. You saw what he became." Poseidon said, slowly trailing off into a shiver at the end of his proclamation.
"Besides," Hades added, "I was always just going to make him one of my lieutenants anyway."
Zeus slammed down his bolt at the roar of disapproval that came from the council at that.
"NO, YOU WILL NOT! YOU WILL HAND HIS SOUL OVER TO THE FATES IMMEADIATLY!" Zeus boomed into the silence.
With a pointed look at a strangely calm Poseidon, Hades snapped his fingers and th shade of the twice Hero of Olympus appeared before the council.
"No nO NO! I WAS SO DAMN CLOSE TO GETTING AWAY FROM IT ALL LET ME JUST DIE AND REST IN PEACE!" the irate son of the sea screamed.
"Silence mortal for you have been chosen to go to a place beyond the gods to fight for the balance." The fates began chanting in the language of Chaos, the first primordial.
"You won't remember your previous woes, yet we will leave you with your instincts once you age past 11. You will need them."
Poseidon and Athena shared a look before the goddess of warcraft spoke up "You have my blessing, Perseus; I apologize for the woe my children have given you over the years."
With a flash of bright light, Percy Jackson vanished.
SOMEWHERE IN LONDON
In the busy streets outside the Leaky Cauldron, Sirius Black walked along in the rain, elated to hear about James and Lily's little one along the way. As he turned past Knockturn Alley, he sees a bright green flash coming from one of the shops before a black misted figure blasts up into the night sky.
Running and praying he isn't too late to save someone he breaks down the door and charges in, only to see a crib laying in the middle of the empty shop, with an envelope with only a few words scrawled on top of it.
"My name is Perseus Jackson."
