Sweet Russian Tortellini 2 - (Genshin Impact, SI x Fem!Childe Antics)
Liyue, the cup of tea was at its third fill, it was a mostly calm afternoon.
Scribble, scribble, scribble.
Workday, there was an odd silence around, I could tell something was brewing and it wasn't another cup of tea.
Scribble, scribble, scribble.
Lady Yuheng had not realized that Lady Tianquan is having fun with her 'captain'. Can't blame her, the gay feelings she has for Miss Ganyu seems to be making her oblivious to other lesbianhoods. Nothing new in that front truth be told, but seriously, things have been too quiet now.
Scribble, scribble, scribble.
It was almost concerning how I had not been visited by my stalker just yet. One may think she had found someone more interesting, or that she forgot, or that something else came up but... Let's be honest, Childe is not a quitter. Regardless of her being in her work mode or not.
Scribble, scribble, scribble.
The stack of paper was the last one, I was about to finish my shift. And Childe was not here. My sanest assumption was that she caught something and got sick. Nothing deadly- I doubt she could be killed by a cold but... I am not feeling very nervous so suddenly.
Scribble, scribble, scri-
THUD!
Ah yes, just a bit late but-
"Liebling~!"
The fuck?
Right as I got subjected to the usual sight of my office's door getting wrecked, I found myself staring at Childe and... and frown at her greeting.
"What?"
"Mondstadtian greeting, thought you would like to be treated with proper courtesy for once."
...
"I am not from Mondstadt?" I remarked, causing her to slowly nod and smile some more.
"'s that so?" She clicked her lips. "Well, I guess I know what we are going to do today."
...Is this why she had been late? What was she up to?
I didn't ask these things to her. Both because I was tired already and I actually wanted to know what kind of shit she did through these hours rather than delay the inevitable disaster. I didn't need to wait too long to be carried around Liyue through various shops. Nothing was bought, but it was clear that Tartaglia was trying to find something - a clue - that could tell her more of...
Where I was from.
For a brief moment right after realizing this, I thought that she was doing a background check of me because she was suspicious of something. Maybe she realized I wasn't from Teyvat- no, that was too hasty of a thought. She could have been on high alert due to the chances of me being a 'spy' of sort.
Yet, such worry was, as mentioned just now, brief. It became clear to me that Tartaglia was not looking into 'finding out a mystery about my past', but rather wanted to know how to 'further seduce me'. The idea was silly in nature, but the effort put into it wasn't fully unfolded just yet.
I forgot that Childe wasn't the kind of girl that would just stop at a single idea, but develop into a demented ramifications of various sub-ideas. With the fruitless 'shopping spree' being an effort to get some pre-'combat' intel as the real battle was going to happen in my own house.
The lovely flat I had in Liyue... I instantly noticed that the door was brand new and I spared the smiling bitch a searing glare for having tarnished my oak-tree door. Luckily for me, she had paid for it. Not-so luckily for me, she had also decided to hoard my kitchen as she wanted to prepare me some meals for dinner.
I never ate anything cooked by Childe but, going by game-lore, she should be capable of producing edible stuff. So, I let her 'cook'. The process took almost a hour but... the reason behind such a lengthy preparation was the output she produced out of the stoves.
Seven dishes for 'seven regions'. That was a lot of food, but we were meant to 'share it'.
"Like a date," She had cheekily added, but she made me choice which one was my favorite and...
I was neutral to all of those.
I would say there were some 'good ones' due to my preferences, but Teyvat sure had a way to flip over my limited knowledge about cuisine. And while some names rang some bells, the entire feast was mild at best. It was all well-made, but it became apparent to Tartaglia that I wasn't 'letting out' where I came from.
She was deflated, defeated, and with a belly full of things she usually didn't eat all at once. So, what came next was a bit perplexing to look at as I studied her reaction to it all. I have never seen Tartaglia so spent, slouched over the cleared table and... miserable.
It wasn't even an act as I could tell that she was outright 'done' with her own attempts. Not a quitter, but she was human nonetheless. I felt a bit guilty since it felt like I was disregarding her hard work and, after some tough thinking, I decided to cook a dish myself.
Something from home and with what ingredient I had. There were eggs, bacon, and the pasta. Yes, I could see my brain zeroing on a particular recipe. This version of the Carbonara Pasta was one that my mother created due to limited resources. It wasn't as elegant and 'full' as other versions of it, but the delight was guaranteed all the time she made it for the family.
It took me less than twenty minutes to get a portion out and ready, suave steam coming from the dish as I placed it to the table, right beside Childe. There was a pause as, reasonably so, I thought she would have turned to glance at the new dish on the table.
"Childe?"
She didn't react, causing me to frown.
"Tartaglia?"
...
"Tortellini?"
...Not even with that? She would usually get miffed when I used that nickname.
Now I was feeling annoyed since she put me through that crazy shit and expected me to just let her stew in her own depressive thoughts so... I knew what I had to say to get her attention.
"...Ajax."
Childe tensed up a bit, looking at me with a surprised look as I hardly used her real name. Then, her glance lowered to the plate I presented to her. She studied it, frowned at the composition and then took a bite. She munched on the pasta and seemed to be pleased by it as she cleaned the plate.
"Never ate something like this before," She commented thoughtfully, tilting her head to the side. "You're just not going to tell me where you come from?"
"Nope."
"Why?"
I sighed. "It's private."
Instead of pressing on this, Childe merely nodded and then... yawned. After clearing the table and doing the dishes, I thought she would have left but-
"May I spend the night here? I don't think you would want a poor maiden out in the cold with many thieves around?"
"...I would wish to keep you here only to spare the thieves' lives."
Her giddy smile was frustrating. "That was not a no, Возлюбленный~."
...
I admit to being a man. I also admit that cuddles were acceptable. I was also fine since Tartaglia looked willing to not fuck me in the sleep and she didn't.
Hours later, however, I came to regret this.
I woke up second, with Tartaglia already awake and giving me a silly smile as she held my hand.
"Morning~." She said, trying to appear adorable and distracting. Sadly for her, I was quick to notice the two items by our fingers shining in the dark.
"...Ajax, where the fuck did you get those rings?"
AN
You gave Ajax an inch of a finger, and she is going to claim your cock, comrade~.
