Cold Clouds 12 - (Genshin Impact, Ganyu!SI)

Ten years can change a person... or not.

Ten years, to someone like me, felt more like a year or two of relative peace. That's not to say that things have remained the same, not when Chiyo had finally gotten herself in a relationship with some sword-wielding boy that had the same degree of brain damage that she had.

Both were happy, and I had to literally 'give permission' for the boy to date her. And their concept of dating was going through group hunting sessions to kill scary animals or attack random warriors in the road. Truly the best of hooligans. So sweet and dumb together, but overall sweet.

Was this the power couple that was going to eventually create Kazuha? Maybe. But I wasn't exactly playing eugenics just yet as I was indulging heavily over some administrative chores left behind by Makoto and Ei. The twins were on a roll as they proceeded to expand rapidly after securing full control of Narukami Island.

Within five years they had subjucated most of Inazuma, but I had to put a stop to their interest to attack Watatsumi for a few serious reasons:

1) Overextention is a thing and they needed to handle integration rather than drop the ball to me since this wasn't something a single individual, powerful or not, should be left to face.

Makoto was willing to help, but Ei despised having to do clerk-jobs with her sister. Despite her best efforts to appear as the cool and calm shadow, she sure had developed a bitter hatred for paperwork. Which, funnily enough, gave a new reason behind the creation of the Raiden Shogun and why Ei would just drop all the chores of supreme leader to her second puppet/daughter.

2) Orobashi was not a simple god to face. I would probably have it easy to face someone like him, so I knew the twins could take care of him. No, what worried me was what Watatsumi currently had within its epicenter: a dimensional hole leading to Pseudo-Underground Rome/Ancient Greece. While the civilization didn't scare me, the possibility of dimensional magic being harnessed for a desperate bullshit defense made me nervous to face this threat just yet.

So yes, for ten long years, I was stuck doing bureaucracy and pretty much becoming one of the co-founders of Modern Inazuma. Where Ei and Makoto would ultimately share powers as the 'Twin Gods of Eternity', I stuck around as just a 'lesser entity'.

Some 'lesser entities' than me would have been miffed by such label, but if that excluded me from being nagged on by Celestia, then I was fine with it. And it made dating my two 'bosses' easier to handle. If Makoto was busy, Ei was getting a cunnilingus by yours truly somewhere nearby; if Ei was handling some patrols, I was scissoring Makoto like the naughty girl she was; if both twins were busy, then I would be busy myself spanking the horni out of Kitsune Saiguu.

I had achieved peak romance/lewd relations in my current status quo. I was hitting 30s and I was still a smokin' hot half-Qilin babe of the Lesbian kind.

And of course, that couldn't be the end of my adventure.

We were quite far from dealing with the proper Archon Wars, so I was a bit annoyed when I got a strange vision that told me I had to relocate to a new region for the time being. It wasn't something forceful, but the urgency was missed when I woke up to the sight of a big tree being on fire.

Normally, I wasn't much of an activist in regards of stopping forest fires since in this world there were enough forests to make a random fire be less interesting in regards of climate change. But I may have some reservations if the burning tree was a smaller Irminsul and I heard a Nahida-like voice calling for help.

Did others receive the call? I am quite sure that they did, but that most decided against trying to assist. Guili didn't because they were already closing their society in preparation of a big war among gods in that area, while the Twins couldn't be bothered with their current roles.

So, it came down to 'Big Lady Ganyu' herself to take care of this chore.

Were the girls any happy to learn I would be leaving for a few months? Not really. Makoto was trying to latch at my lap, Ei was trying to wrestle me into submission but she only got spanked for trying to dom the one that doms her the most. Chiyo was actually crying like a baby, but she seemed to be 'happier' when I told her boy-toy to fuck her silly as he had my permission to give her babies. That 'distraction' came clutch as they had planned to ask me that so... I guess I will soon become a grandmother.

Yay me.

Still, with most of that trouble defused and Ritou Village being self-sufficient enough to not pull any crazy sacrifice to try and pull me back, I took off on board of my cloud and took a southern curve path to reach Sumeru. There was no Chasm, so I admit it was a bit jarring to leave the tall peaks of Guili and entered deep jungles of Sumeru.

Alas, one thing that really left me in a rather perplexed spot was accepting how none of the few settlements that would come to be born in those areas were there. Most of Sumeru's settlers were either around the outskirts of the jungle, or mostly centered around the 'greater civilizations' located in the desert areas.

This was still a 'wild and young' section of the region, that, albeit far from being Teyvat's Savage Lands in terms of danger, was still extremely deadly to the normal human. Too many predators, too many meat-eating plants.

Nonetheless, I had no clue on where to go. Sure, I had a few locations to check, but Irminsul was not in Sumeru. And thus I couldn't just 'go to it'. The best thing to do was to get off my cloud, continue my search by foot and hope that I would find something near Sumeru City.

Turns out that this was the best idea I could have gotten. I did find something and... it was 'irony'.

You know, when you think about Nahida, the first thing that comes to mind is 'naivety' since she is meant to represent the fact that she is young and that the knowledge she has is not wisdom, and that only experience helps her turn it inot that.

I had never considered that, due to what we knew about Rukkhadevata, the same may have happened in the past to her too. But where Nahida had to handle a 'modern conspiracy' that wanted to exploit her power, I turned to see that a small group of jungle-dwellers had made a small camp with a green Dendro barrier around it.

Right as I approached, I could sense the divinity behind its source, and I could see someone inside a bubble as numerous warriors came rushing out of the doors. None seemed to be too 'sage-like', or they would have hesitated to face me.

Maybe they thought they were blessed for 'bringing down' one of the 'higher beings', but they definitely didn't know the truth about Gods and Divine Creatures: some of those are good fighters, others are good thinkers and...

Then there's monsters that mix both of those qualities into a single bundle.

The battle was brief. I wouldn't call it embarrassingly swift, but definitely nothing of noteworthy. Cracking the barrier caused the bubble to burst and for those few civilians in the camp to rally up in a single large crowd to 'guard' against me.

Admittedly, they were shouting at me what appeared to be some sort of insults, but I didn't care for any of that. I just walked to the original source of the barrier, and then crouched to greet the sleeping form of a young Rukkhadevata.

She looked to be around the age of a teen, which made me wonder if she had been around in this world for less years than me. It would be interesting to learn that Ganyu is actually older than Rukkhadevata herself.

I picked her up in my arms and just walked away. The village would surprise despite losing so many warriors. There were boys, so there was a new generations that would eventually stand up to replace their losses.

My concern lingered within the little radish I found and what I should do with her. Option 1 was to let her be and look around Sumeru on my own, but I was leaning for Option 2 which involved in-

Anahita woke up with a startled look on her face, immediately remembering why she ended up in a slumber and thinking herself still in trouble.

However, when she fully shook away the sleepiness and took notice of the lone individual sitting right in front of her, her mind found herself drawing a blank on who this woman may be. Her horns unique, her eyes piercing and her voice quite strong.

"Greetings, avatar of Irminsul. How are you?"

Anahita was stunned. How did this individual knew her truth? Her biggest secret had yet to be fully revealed, and yet someone already knew it.

"How?"

"That's a secret."

It sure was! But that didn't mean she was supposed to know of it. Nonetheless, Anahita tried to understand who this individual was. And while Irminsul's roots knew of her kind as a Qilin from Guili, and her clothes as of Inazuman origin, Anahita failed to know her identity.

A mystery was upon her.

"W-Who are you?" She asked, the simplest probe thrown away as the woman smiled.

"My name is Ganyu. And I will be your teacher."

Despite the well-meaning offer, Anahita couldn't help but shudder a little.

It was as if a punishment had been cast upon her for some reason but... she couldn't say how or why.
