Rika slowly opened her eyes as she sat up and stretched her arms. The blinds were closed, but she could see the sunlight peeking through.

"Morning, sleepy head." Satoko giggled as she walked into the room. "I was wondering when you were going to wake up."

"Satoko?" Rika rubbed her eyes and saw Satoko dressed in her usual outfit. She walked over to a window and opened the blinds to let the sun in.

"Ahhh!" Rika took the cover and shielded her face. "Satoko!"

"What?" Satoko giggled. "It's payback for waking me up so early."

As Rika tried to avoid the sunlight on her face, she heard another giggle from someone younger. She poked her head out of the cover to see Maria on the floor, giggling with Satoko.

"Awe." Satoko turned to look at Maria. "She's so adorable."

Rika sighed as she lowered the cover and then smiled. Thankfully, she didn't have another nightmare and enjoyed seeing her best friend happy.

"Rika?" Rosa came in with a towel wrapped around her body and another around her hair. "Good to see you're up."

"Satoko is picking on me by having the sunlight shine straight in my face!" Rika whined as she pointed at her best friend. "She's teaching Maria to be bad like her!"

"I did no such thing!" Satoko crossed her arms. "I thought the room could use more sun, and Rika was already awake. Also, Rosa said she'd like Maria to be like me when she's older."

"So this is what it would be like to have multiple kids," Rosa whispered as Satoko and Rika continued. "I think one is enough for me."

As she thought about that, she felt Maria tapping her leg. She looked down and saw her baby smiling at her, wearing the same pink dress from yesterday. She smiled as she picked her up.

"Don't you think one of you is enough?" Rosa giggled as she held Maria. Maria just smiled as she hugged her mom.

"Hey, Rosa," Satoko said, getting her attention. "Now that Rika is up, would you like me to start making breakfast?"

"Satoko, all of you have made food for me yesterday." Rosa sighed. "Why not let me make something for a change?"

"But you're our guest, Rosa." Rika stood next to Satoko.

"And all of you have helped me pick out new clothes, care for my daughter, and decided to have a picnic just for me," Rosa replied. "I think the least I can do is make something for you two."

"But we…" Satoko tried to protest.

"Plus, how will you be able to watch over Maria if you're busy cooking?" Rosa giggled as she lowered her daughter to the ground. She started walking over to Satoko as she smiled.

"I guess you have a point." Satoko giggled as she let Maria come towards her.

"Mind if I help?" Rika smiled as she raised her hand. "Satoko can watch Maria while I help you out."

"I guess that's fine." Rosa sighed. "Let me just get dressed, and then I'll get started."

"Sounds good." Rika walked to the kitchen while Rosa grabbed her clothes and got dressed.

While Satoko was playing with Maria, Rosa and Rika cooked breakfast in the kitchen. Rosa was currently holding some eggs while Rika was setting the table.

"How do you and Satoko like your eggs?" Rosa turned to look at her.

"Sunny side up." Rika smiled.

"Got it." Rosa cracked the eggs and started cooking them. "I'll let you handle toast while I work on these."

"Okay." Rika grabbed the bread and started preparing the toast. As she did that, she looked over at Rosa. "Did you sleep well last night?"

"I did." Rosa smiled. "Definitely better than the night before."

"No nightmares?" Rika raised an eyebrow.

"None whatsoever." Rosa shook her head.

As Rosa continued cooking, Rika kept looking at her. Rosa was completely different from yesterday morning, making her wonder if it was just a nightmare that made Rosa scare Satoko so badly.

"Hey, Rosa. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Rika." Rosa kept smiling. "What do you want to know?"

"What was that nightmare that woke you up?" Rika saw Rosa's smile drop as she finished her question.

"Why are you curious?" Rosa kept looking at the eggs as her tone was noticeably lower now.

"Oh, I was just wondering what yours was since I had one too." Rika lightly laughed. However, she saw Rosa was still frowning. Rika frowned as she looked down. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to…"

"No, it's fine." Rosa sighed. "It's just, it terrified me, and I saw what it did to Satoko when I lost it at the clinic. I already feel horrible that she had to see that, and I don't want that to happen to the rest of you."

For Rika, she didn't know how to react. She kept wondering if this was the same Rosa Hanyuu showed her who would go on to abuse Maria. Not only was Rosa constantly showing how much she loved Maria, but she was also showing concern for her and Satoko. Rika sighed as she put the bread down.

"Well, at least you know all of us are here for you." Rika smiled as Rosa turned to look at her. "We were ready to help back then and ready to help again."

Rosa slowly smiled back after hearing that.

"I appreciate that, Rika." Rosa started to set the eggs on plates for everyone. "I hope Maria ends up being like you and Satoko when she's older."

"Nipah." Rika smiled as she did the same with the toast.

"Is breakfast ready yet!?" Satoko came in holding Maria's hand. Satoko had her eyes closed and was whining. "We're hungry!"

Maria just smiled as she looked up at her mom. Satoko opened her eyes and looked down at her.

"That's not how we rehearsed this." Satoko sighed.

"I told you, Satoko was teaching Maria to be bad like her." Rika turned to Rosa.

"I see that." Rosa lightly laughed as she looked at Rika and then Satoko. "Breakfast is ready, by the way."

"Good." Satoko smiled as she walked beside Rosa, still holding Maria's hand. "We don't have a high chair, so I wasn't sure what to do for Maria."

"It's fine." Rosa picked up Maria. "I can hold her while we eat."

"Just let us know if we can get you anything." Satoko pulled out the chair for Rosa.

"Thank you." Rosa took a seat. "Like I told Rika, I hope Maria grows up to be like the both of you."

"Oh ho ho ho ho." Satoko laughed. "Of course, you'd want Maria to be strong and independent like me."

"Hey, what about me?" Riksa frowned.

"Rosa probably also wants Maria to be adorable and harmless." Satoko grinned.

"Satoko!" Rika blushed as she furrowed her eyebrows. "What's that supposed to mean!?"

As they continued arguing, Rosa just watched on. She sighed as she looked at Maria, who was looking back up at her.

"Like I said, I think one of you is enough for me." Rosa smiled as she kissed Maria's head.
