Hey guys. This one could prove to be a challenge since this is a brand new original chapter that never happened in the original Spring of Genesis. I feel like I should do a bit more for the Akame side of things in comparison of the Dimension W side. But I attend to make it quick so we can get to the big two-parter story. So please enjoy!

Even 'till this day, Najenda can't forget the day of the execution. The faces of disgust of the people, showing no remorse for what appears to be child. But also the Emperor who merely watches blindly as his people suffered. The history books would remember him as the worst Emperor who ever lived. But to her, she will remember him as a victim of circumstance. "A beheading..." She recalled their last conversation with each other when he was in his cell. "That should settle it, right?" She would have expected him to go nuts, but instead he is taking it as well as he could. "Right..." But she can tell there is a hint of defeat in his tone. "Just when you think a falled emperor has nothing else to do, there is only one last task to be done..."

"Yes..." Was all Najenda could muster. She wonders how this boy could stay calm in all of this. But almost like he read her mind, she answers.

"If one gives in to hysterics, then we make fools of ourselves." The boy said with a proud smile. "The final duty, is die with pride." As the cell opens, he slowly walks off of the cell with no resistance.

She was thinking about keeping this a secret from him, but she couldn't hold it in. "...Just so you know." He stops along with the guards next to him. "The core of your Imperial Arms...its missing...it mysteriously vanished while no one was looking."

There was silence. Until the boy spoke. "...I see...even in peace...there is always conflict..." There was little words to say at this point. Yet Najenda can tell his hands was gripping tightly, trying to contain all the despair in his heart from leaking out. But there is so much he could contain before breaking down.

This motivates Najenda to finally speak up. "We will find it though, and make sure we obtain true peace!" Trying to assure the former emperor that she will make sure none of the death and destruction would have been in vain.

The boy's fist would relax in response. If there is one thing he learned about Najenda, its how she is determined to see things through no matter the odds. With that, he is assured. "...I'm so glad..." A single tear comes out of the boys eye. Satisfied knowing Najenda will preserve the peace that the people cried out for years. As he wipes the tear off of his face, he would compose himself, then turns to Najenda with one final request before he meets his fate. "Please...create a peaceful land with no more bloodshed."

Without hesitation, Najenda responds. "You have my word. This is the last drop of blood to be spilled." With resolve that rivals the heavens, she bets on her life to make sure this promise is kept. And as said before, he would be put on a guillotine, not afraid. The people would scorn at the presence of him. All this hate must be amended somehow. And the boy knew it. Nothing suited a failed emperor more than this fate. If there was one person who did sympathized with him, it was ironically his former enemy Najenda. She merely watched as the execution happens. Once the blade fell, it was all over. The dark history of the Empire is now dashed. Emperor Makoto is dead.

In present day, Najenda watches the window, seeing the repairs still on the Capital. Even after all these months, the damages done by Makoto in his giant Imperial Arms was still far too much. She hoped to at least live long enough to see it fully repaired. After the war, she expended too much of her life force and has limited time in this world. Still, she is determined to see her promise through. Yet there is still no sign of who could have stolen the Imperial Arms core that somehow alluded even the Emperor after the final battle. It got her wondering who could have done such a feat, and what plans those he or she have with it. It disturbs her how much despite achieving her goal, there is still so much to do. And that's not even mentioning these mysterious devices that appeared out of nowhere. Do they have connections with this already in progress mystery?

Just then someone enters her room, her male assistant. "Madam. Akame is here."

"Come in." She lets out a sigh, remembering the little mishap last time. The former ace of Night Raid Akame walks in with shame written all over her face as she takes a seat in front of Najenda's desk. With the white haired boss would clasp her hands together with her eyes dead center on Akame's soul. "So you couldn't even do something as simple as 'not' kill someone." Her voice as ice cold in Akame's ears.

She lowers her head. "I'm truly sorry..." Akame lets out in defeat.

After seconds of silence, Najenda simply sighs. "Well...I suppose you can't be solely blamed. After everything you been through, I should have saw this coming. I guess the fault also lies in me too." Not skipping a beat of her serious tone.

This only drove Akame to be more ashamed and argues. "N-No! I clearly disobeyed orders boss! I just...when I saw the weapon of theirs...and how he killed one his men to prove a point...with that weapon..." Najenda already got the briefing of the weapon after the mission was done before everyone went to sleep. "I didn't want them to kill again!"

Najenda listens and retorts. "Yet you killed them. It was alright before, but not right now when everyone is even more looking at our new government like a hawk. Any wrong move and we'll have riots and the higher ups quickly dismantled, to be replaced." Akame was surprised to hear this, she was doing more harm than good killing. Yet, she can't help but feel its the only way to guarantee peace. "But it can't be helped. Once you were gone, they were some new developments in the medical team.

This catches Akame off guard. "What do you mean?"

Najenda stands up and walks over to the window again. "There were interesting statements about mental illnesses lately since the war was over. People being unable to live peacefully as a result. Not to mention many suicides each day. Doctors around the Capital tries to uncover ways to avoid this by studying the human mind. From what I seen, you suffer from one of these illnesses."

Akame's eyes blink in confusion. "...I do?"

Najenda closes her eyes, wondering how she would react to it, but lets it out anyways. "Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. Or PTSD for short. You seen a lot of things that would make most normal people completely lose their minds. Although you toughed it out thanks to your abnormal training. Although even you have your limits. And I'm afraid you are reaching yours."

The former assassin wasn't sure if she is liking what she is hearing. "I am...?" There is no use denying what she is saying with all the nightmares she was having.

"My recommendation is staying low. I won't give you anything to do until further notice." Najenda states.

The young lady nods. "T-Thank you boss..." She stands up to take her leave.

But once she reached the door, Najenda spoke up. "And be sure to be with your new friends. They'll help you through this."

Akame listens to this carefully. "Understood." Then she finally exits.

Left alone in her room, Najenda felt that could have gone better. As disappointed she was at Akame, she can't completely blame her. The war was getting to her. She'd be a bit disturbed if it wasn't. Yet here they are. She could only hope Akame could keep it together. She's the last remaining one. The only one she can consider a teammate. Or rather...family...

Just then another of her messengers would enter her room. "General."

"What is it?" Najenda asks.

"We heard someone from the Navy wants to speak with you." The messenger states.

Najenda would immediately know who this is. "Very well. Set the meeting for the next hour."

Akame walks through the hallway alone, thinking about what Najenda told her. It should easy. Not do anything should be fine. She relaxed with her team before. So why does it make her feel uneasy? As she looks around her surroundings, it still feels surreal walking around the Capital's main kingdom. She only ever showed up here when she was invading it. Feels a little off putting walking around people who she considered enemy. Then again, Najenda mentioned some new faces since most of the people associated with the Empire either quit out of shame or was in on it and was executed or arrested too. It must have been a hard time to adjust to the new guard than she thought. Akame was never the type to worry about politics. Najenda focuses on that kind of stuff. Although Akame wonders to herself if what they sacrificed was worth it. As she looks to the window and sees the nation she helped. Only to notice there are still places that still are in repair. Even noticing some arguments breaking out by some workers. Most likely the stress was getting to him. Doubt begins to infect Akame. Wondering if the damage was too much even for people united. She shakes it off. Her friends deaths had to matter. Otherwise...

Her thoughts were interrupted by her own hunger, thinking that she hasn't eaten in awhile now. With that in mind, she thought perhaps she should meet with Jaune and the others and show them around the Capital. Once she finds their room, she notices their conversation. "What do you mean they don't have any pancakes?!" Nora's voice can be heard, startling Akame.

"I asked them, and they don't seem to know what pancakes are." Ren answers.

Nora is clearly freaking out. "Wh-What kind of backwards world is this?!"

Jaune raises his hands up to calm down Nora. "Hey now. Lets try to calm down Nora."

"How can I be calm at a time like this?! They don't have PANCAKES!" Nora's whole world begins to spiral.

Just then they hear a knock, turning to see Akame by the door. "Is this a bad time?"

"Oh! Akame!" Jaune would be caught off guard. "You uh...doing alright?" He awkwardly asks.

The former assassin would also feel awkward. "Um...yes." She notices Ren trying to calm a panicking Nora. "...so...what is this...pancakes?"

Nora's eyes light up. "Only the most GREATEST food you will EVER taste!" She dashes towards a flinching Akame. "You have no idea! It's full of fluffy goodness that melts in your mouth. Mhmmmm!"

And at that moment, Akame begins to get the idea and her mouth begins to drool. "...really? Fluffy?"

"Like heaven itself!" Nora would go face to face with the just as starry eyed Akame. "You haven't lived until you tried them!"

The blonde then scratches his head. "Should we be worried?"

"Yes..." The raven haired huntsman replies.

An hour passed with Jaune, Akame, and Nora sitting in a table, with the ginger haired girl banging the table with her fork and knife in hand. Akame also waiting in anticipation. "Man it took us almost an hour to find the ingredients. Ren must have been very motivated. Although knowing Nora...he probably didn't have a choice."

While waiting, Akame would ask something to Jaune to ignore her hunger. "So Jaune, is what Nora said true about pancakes being the best food where you come from?"

The blonde would recall his past experience. "Well...it's defiantly the kind of food everyone would wake up to in the morning."

"Really?" Akame is even more interested in this food she never heard of before.

In a few seconds, the food comes in. With Ren holding a tray of pancakes in his hands, with other cooks behind him. "All done." He looks exhausted, but also proud of his accomplishment. "It's a miracle they all had all the ingredients necessary here..." He would say with a sigh.

Nora almost jumped. "Pancakes pancakes pancakes PANCAKES!" Unable to contain her pancake withdrawal since her whole journey began.

Akame looks at the display and is in awe of the food in front of her. "I...never seen anything like this before." However, Nora wastes no time spilling in the newly invented syrup and glosses it all with its glowing spread. And as efficiently as herself, Nora cuts a piece of butter and flips it on top of her stack as she starts mowing it down. This interests her, as she turns to see Jaune spreading syrup on her own stack.

"Um, this will make it better. Trust me." He said as he finishes. Akame looks at it with interest. She then mimics Ren and Jaune their use of the fork and knife. Not too different from other cuisine she had before. Having a small piece for caution, she puts it on her mouth and chews it. And from that moment, Akame felt bliss. The softness of the cake itself, and the syrup that compliments it. The former assassin moans in satisfaction. And once she swallows her first bite, she goes off for another one. Then another.

Jaune takes notice of Akame's sudden shift. "You uh...enjoying yourself?" Akame only moans more, expressing more bliss for this tasty desert she just learned about. "I'll take that as a yes..."

Ren sighs in exhaustion. "Don't say I never do anything for you guys..."

Meanwhile, Najenda is still in her room. This time someone else is seated in front of her. A young man in dark blue hair with a blue navy jacket. "Been awhile hasn't it?" The General would start off.

The young man finally speaks. "You mentioned something about finding Bill?"

General Najenda nods as she shows him the map of the whole Capital, with a circle around the Eastern forest. Very far from the Capital walls. "He's been hiding all those years. I would have thought Akame would have been the one who taken him out." Hearing her name has the young mans hand clench hard. "Regardless, I also heard they had their hands on some dangerous weapons."

The young man was confused. "What do you mean?"

Just the Najenda presents the small device Akame and her group investigated. "This has been spreading through the whole Capital. We do t know where it came from, or who its creator is, but it has a storage of energy that runs indefinitely. In the wrong hands, we'll have a massive loss of life in our hands.

Wave didn't like the sound of that. "Is it like an Imperial Arms?"

"It seems to be comparable to them." Najenda explains.

This shocked the Navy man. "No way..." He never thought this was possible. Someone able to create brand new weapons comparable to the powerful Imperial Arms.

After revealing that, she gives Wave her reports of innocent bystanders talking about how they heard suspicious activities along with missing children. "We fear this is something one person can't do alone. With how unpredictable this suddenly became, but the possibility of hostages."

Wave nods. "So who do you have in mind?"

Najenda thought long and hard on this. "We can't take any risks. The more elites we have in this case, the faster we can end this once and for all. I don't have any experts in this kind of technology, but I do have one group in mind. To make sure your prepared for this."

"Who are they?" Wave asks, wanting to get this operation ready as soon as possible.

"Well..." Najenda would try to gently ease him for this. "One of them you already met..."

Nora would pat her belly, letting out a sigh. "Now this feels like home..."

Akame uses a napkin to clean her mouth. "This was a good meal." As she politely said.

Jaune found it amusing seeing trying pancakes for the first time. "Well...that's one way of putting it. Got any other favorite food Akame?"

The red eyed wonderer thought about it. "Its hard to say. I like to eat all kinds of food. Although I do like cooked beef far off the mountains. The animals there are pretty tasty."

The blonde would be taken a little back. He hasn't met anyone go off to the mountains to find animals and cook them. Is she this kind of wild kid? Jaune would shake it off, not totally turned off from it. Nora seems to vibe with her easily, so he shouldn't judge. "Oh, cool. Sounds neat."

Just then they hear Najenda's messenger. "The General would like to speak with you." This gets the whole teams attentions.

They eventually all enter the room where Najenda hasn't left her chair. "I apologize for the sudden call, but something has came up. Another group using these mystery devices."

"Another one?" Jaune can't help but be already tired of this.

"This one has been under our radar for awhile. Thought to be dead for a long time. But our spies found out he was working underground. Capturing children to augment them to be killers." This has everyone in the room gasp. They heard of criminals robbing or killing. But this? Children? Drugging them? Akame in particular had a chill in her spine. There is no way its that monster she thought. "This is the man." Confirming her fears, its a bald man with a monocle.

Akame was shocked. "I-It can't be..."

Jaune notices this. "Akame? Who is that?" He can't help but have a bad feeling about this creepy looking guy.

The red eyed sword-user shook in both fear, and anger. "...Bill..."

After some awkward silence, Jaune would speak up. "...just...Bill?" Unsure how to make of his very simple name.

Najenda continues, breaking the awkward moment. "This man is a monster given human shape. During the war they would buy out children and put them through life or death exercises to weed out the weak." This shocked the group further. "He was said to be dead by Akame's hand. Yet he was discovered working on more of his heinous acts. Many children have been reported missing.

Ren then spoke up. "And since he has his hands on these devices, you want us to capture him."

"Indeed." Najenda confirms. "An ambush should avoid them from using their best weapons and keep harm from the children."

Akame then stood up and grips her sheath. "This time he will stay buried!" Startling everyone.

Najenda sighs. "Don't forget Akame, you are still recovering. I want you to stay behind for this."

"What?!" The former Night Raid assassin couldn't believe this. Why wouldn't she when they are dealing with someone as evil like Bill?

The now General continues. "Jaune and his group has proven to be skilled enough to take care of themselves."

"B-But..." Akame said in a begging tone.

"Don't worry, I won't have them alone. I also assigned Wave to assist them." She assures.

That name would have Akame blink in confusion. "Wave...?" She wasn't sure if Najenda really means 'that' Wave back from the war.

Jaune tilts his head. "Um...Wave is his name?"

Najenda continues. "He's an Imperial Arms user like Akame."

Nora then tilts her head. "Imperial...Arms...?"

Akame then brings out her sheathed sword. "This is mine. Murasame."

"Oh really? It looks like an ordinary sword?" Jaune points out.

Najenda would puff a smoke, knowing he has to explain this again to a newbie, but knows its necessary. "Long ago, the First Emperor of this nation created weapons that would ensure his reign would run for eternity. Powerful and god like items that chooses their users. Some are mere boosts, while others allows them to topple armies and more."

The three was in awe of hearing such a thing. "Wow..." Nora lets out.

"For real?" Jaune spoke his mind.

The General nods. "Nowadays, they were all but destroyed. From the war, or to prevent any destructive sparks for a new war. Akame is holding one of the only ones still in tact. Murasame. With a single cut from this sword lets out a cursed poison that guarantees the death of its victim." Hearing that suddenly made the room go cold for everyone.

Jaune looks at Akame's sword again and now he sees it way differently than he did before. The slightest cut spells an irreversible end. "Oh..."

Despite also being worried, Ren would ask something. "Was there others as dangerous as Murasame?"

Akame would speak up, but not before hesitating. "Each one has its uses for war. But the war is over..."

The three understandably would leave this be, as Najenda continues. "With that said, you'll be joined with another Imperial Arms user. He works in the Navy."

"Ooooooh! A Navy man!" Nora shows interest. Only to pause. "...What's the Navy?" She sheepishly asks, which everyone just moves on.

"So what can this uh...Imperial...thing does?" Jaune asks curious, but also to help him ready himself from anything dangerous.

The General puts her cigar on her ashtray. "I'll leave that as a surprise. Don't worry, it'll be something to remember." She said with a smile.

As the three wonders what she meant by that, Akame just looks away, saddened by not being involved. It probably would be best if Wave was going to be there, knowing their history. She only worries about her new friends. She won't be there to make sure they are okay. "Jaune, promise me that you'll be okay. I won't be there to help you."

He would think about that and feel the gravity of the situation, but gets himself together. "Hey, we fought a lot back in our home. We can handle ourselves."

Ren adds on. "We are Huntsmen after all."

"Yeah! We can handle anything you throw at us!" Nora said with cheerful confidence. Akame would nod. She doesn't like it, but lets it go. She had to hope that her partners would make it out of their missions alive. More often than not...they don't...She shakes it off. She tells herself that they are already experienced. They can handle this. It's not like the war.

Later, Team JNR walk towards a hidden base full of tents along with soldiers in silver plated armor pads. Almost reminds them of the Atlas soldiers that visited their school that time. In one of the tents, one of the leaders of the squad, explaining the plan. "He is hiding underground. That's how he managed to stay hidden for so long. However it was said the amount of subjects and experiments has been upgraded lately that he couldn't contain it so easily."

Jaune replies. "Um...so how do we get to him?"

"Directly..." Everyone then hear a new voice. The man in dark blue hair with a navy blue jacket over his white and red shirt. "There is risk on firing at it. So I'll lead the charge and handle the guards while everyone handles the missing children." His voice was very serious.

Jaune can tell he went through a lot in his life. "Um...and you are...?"

The slightly tanned blunette then shows his hand for a shake. "I'm Wave. I usually work for the docks of the Empire, but I also help with missions like these time to time. You must be these experts I heard about?"

He would then take his hand and shake it. "Um...well I wouldn't say experts. I'm Jaune. This is Ren and Nora.

Wave nods to them. "Hey. So...you have experience in any kind of fight?"

"You bet!" Nora replies happily. She then brings out her hammer.

This startles Wave. "Whoa! I never seen a weapon like that?"

Just then Nora presses a button and it morphs into a cannon. "Check it! It is also a gun! Eh...cannon!"

Wave would take a look at it. "Hm...who gave you this?" He asks with curiosity.

"Oh I made it." Nora admits.

"You did?!" Wave was shocked to hear that. He could tell a lot of gears and nuts inside it.

"Yeah. We all made our weapons." Ren said as he brings out his own green colored pistols with blades. "Its standard where we're from."

"Really..." Wave would have never guessed there is a place where this is basically standard. "I really need to visit your home sometime." This little interaction did provide him a bit of levity. But now he refocuses. "But lets focus. We got a job to do."

Jaune nods. "Right. So what do we do?"

Wave explains. "Just follow my lead. We scatter to knock out some guards. Then once we go inside, get behind me. I'll charge in."

"Are you sure that's a good idea? I'm sure they'll have a lot of guns." Jaune warns him.

Wave then picks up a dark blue sheathed sword. "I have this."

"A...sword." Ren would bluntly say in confusion.

"Trust me. Follow my lead." It wasn't long until Wave would lead the operation. Ren steps upward on top of a tree. He notices some men wielding guns roaming around. Letting their guards down, Ren easily hops on each and every one of them, knocking them out through simple chops. The last one he jumped on with all his weight.

Nora jumps in, posing around, acting dramatic with hammer in hand. "Hm?" But seeing no enemies to fight. "Aw..." She follows Ren into what looks like a cave. "Think I can suck up their electricity and give them a blackout?"

Ren turns to his closest friend. "We don't know what kind of experiments they are doing. Best to be safe to not risk any accident with the children."

Meanwhile, Wave and Jaune walks together towards Ren's location. "So how is your stay here?"

"Oh, it's cool. A little confusing, but I guess I got Akame to thank for helping me adapt." Jaune replied.

Wave pauses once he heard the name Akame. "Akame? From...Night Raid?"

Jaune raises his brow. "Night Raid?" This was the first time he heard of this Night Raid.

The blunette would look at Jaune with suspicion. "She never told you huh?" Jaune can feel resentment hidden in Wave's expression. "She never told you her previous life."

Jaune begins to feel a bit of uneasiness. "What is there to say?"

Wave sighs, not believing how clueless he is. "A lot. Akame was an assassin of Night Raid. She killed hundreds if not thousands of people." The number startled Jaune. He knew she was a killer, but not of that magnitude. "She even killed her own sister."

"Wait what?!" He never heard of her having any relatives, let alone being killed by her.

"I saw it. I...was friends with her." Wave would then turn around. "I'm just reminding you of who Akame really is..." Jaune felt spite coming out of his tone. He nervously follows, unsure to believe him, knowing Akame is a good person. At the same time, her killing those guys was an act of a professional killer. So who knows what is truth.

They see Ren and Nora standing on top of the defeated guards. "All clear."

Wave walks up past them. "Good. Now stay behind me."

Jaune and Ren looks at each other in confusion. "How exactly? Preferably not by making ourselves meat shields?"

"I doubt a simple sword could block a hundred guards." Ren states.

Wave grabs his sword. "Just watch this." He unsheathes his sword and raises it up. "GRAND CHARIOT!" With a roar a burst of blue flames comes out of him. Jaune couldn't help but notice what looked like a huge dragon came out behind Wave. Until the light dies down, Wave is now covered head to toe with a dark blue armor. Causing everyone to be completely started.

"What the...?!" "Huh?" "WHOA!" Jaune, Ren, and Nora would express their shock.

Wave turns around to let them see his new form. "I'll be the shield."

As he walks in, the three are still baffled on the transformation they witnessed. Nora being the one to speak up. "That was so COOL!"

Ren would be the first one to follow. "I suppose he's the shield." Referencing the meat shield guess.

Jaune would be the last one to recover from this and is in awe of this armor he just saw. He wondered what was that. It must have been technology, but it didn't look like technology. It looked like magic. With how he lit up and now full of armor like a superhero. He wondered if this is what the Imperial Arms could truly do. And its nothing like Akame's own sword that seems like a simple enough sword. (except for the poison curse thing) He would realize he was being left behind and rushes in to follow.

Inside the base, many scientists would walk around, some with clipboards. They frantically are at work with the hidden experiments. Screams can be heard in the background with rooms full of labs with kids being put in hospital beds where they are put through syringes or training exercises, if they are not convulsing in pain. They then heard the main door open, revealing the head of this operation. Uncle Bill. At least that's what he is referred to for his young 'children.' For awhile, he has been working in the shadows. Which annoyed him since back then, it was rather easy having actual backing from the Empire. Now he is barely making progress. "Is the next batch ready?" He would hope they made a break through while he was gone with business elsewhere.

One of the scientists holding a billboard would reply to him nervously. "Well sir...we don't have any 100% success so far. The farthest we seen is at best 64%."

The bald creep grimaces. "Not good enough. We already established payment for our products." As he calls the experimented kids as just his products. "We can't make our partners dissatisfied."

"We weren't able to replicate the original task forces you made back when the Empire was backing us." Bill's assistant states, knowing it won't satisfy him.

Bill gets more angry as he slaps the clipboard off of the scientists hand. "I know that! This never should have happened..." He hissed. He would remember how his life seemingly ended, but found himself somehow still alive. It was odd, but more so was how the Empire was already dismantled and through a huge change. The Emperor dead. Along with his followers. He could barely make any living off of the children's expense. The very least they aren't found out. Plus his best men were trying to find a way to make use of these strange devices he found. Perhaps this can use this unlimited potential from these things to actually make some progress. Perhaps see if this power can conduct the perfect super soldier.

Just then the alarms go off in a screech. "Huh?! The alarms?! We been found out?!"

Bill grits in pain. "Let the experiments out! Let them slow them down!"

The scientist gasped. "But sir! They are barely ready!"

"JUST DO IT!" Bill shouts as he hurries out to escape.

The scientists then scramble as the guards ready themselves with rifles in hand. What bursts out of their door though wouldn't be anything they expect. As their door would burst out, hitting one of them hard. They turn back to see a man in dark blue full body armor. Hard armor plating's for its chest and abdomen area. Shoulder pads, with arms and legs protected save for the joints. The helmet sharp and fierce looking, protected by a see through visor over the face, and a circular shield on his back with the same material.

The scientists panic as they start shooting. Wave moves quickly as he rushes towards them, the bullets bouncing off his indestructible armor. It takes no time at all before Wave knocks all of them effortlessly. Kicking one of them across the whole lab until he lands on a computer. Then catching a fist from a very pugnacious guard, and punching him down, knocking him out instantly. Nora, Ren, and Jaune catches up, only to see Wave nearly done with them. "Whoa..."

More guards then come in. "Heads up!" Jaune warns as he brings out his shield as the bullets bounce off of it. Nora leaps to the left of Jaune and shoots her cannon that blows the guards away. Another wave of guards rushes in with rocket launchers in hand. Ren flinches as he quickly shoots them with his guns. Some were hit, while one of them opens fire.

Jaune turns to see this. The rocket is aimed at the distracted Nora. Out of instinct, Jaune leaps in front of her and uses his shield to block the rocket, with the explosion blowing both Jaune and Nora away. "Oooow..."

"Did that got them?!" One of the guards asked. "There is no way they survived that!"

"Whoa...that stung..." Nora would groan and rub her butt as she fell hard on it.

Jaune would feel his body feeling strange. He then looks at his hands and notice yellow energy covering his body. "Oh man...my aura took the brunt of that..."

Nora looked in concern for her friend. "You gonna be okay?"

The blonde sighs as he notices it stabilizing and then fading back to his body. "I'm good."

Just as he was done with the last guard, Wave would notice this. "Just what was that?" He hasn't seen something like this before. He then notices more guards coming, with what looks like kids in white hospital gowns. "What?!"

The guards aim their guns as the kids collectively take what looks like cookies with a red center. The kids convulse until they become more animalistic and primal. "Get 'em!" One of them as they begin leaping towards their target.

Wave panics to see the experiments to leap towards him to scratch and bite him. Wave tries to wiggle them off of him without hurting them. "Guh! Urgh! Stop!"

Jaune grabs one of them. "I gotcha! AH!" One of the kids tries to scratch his eyes off.

Ren and Nora sees this and panics. "We should do something!"

The ginger thinks about it and decides to slam her hammer on the floor, then produce electricity from the floor that goes towards the kids on Wave and Jaune, giving them a slight shock. Plus her allies. "Whoops!"

"Gugh! Nora-a-a-a-a!" Jaune still feeling the jolt.

Wave groaned. He turns to see the way those kids came from. He feels like he should go there and maybe Bill will be there. But he can't help but think about the children. "Bill!" He shouts out in anger, not willing to accept the fact that he will get away again.

"Go get him!" Jaune shouts out as he wrestles with one of the kids. "We'll handle them, don't worry!"

The blunette nods in response. He rushes deeper into the base. He runs faster than the wind could process as he quickly finds an exit. There he exits the base and finds Bill himself preparing himself in a carriage. "BILL!" He shouts out in anger. He leaps towards him as soon as the the driver whips the horses. Before they could move, the Grand Chariot user grabs Bill and throws him off the carriage in time once it rushes away. "Got you..." Wave hissed spitefully as he throws the scrawny man. "I was hoping you'd still be alive...so I can make you pay..."

The man now begins to panic. "W-W-Wait! I can be an asset! I can still help the military! You are one strong warrior! P-Perhaps I can augment your already incredible str-" Then Wave throws him on the ground, breaking his arm. "AAAAAAGH! DAMNIT!" His monocle falling off of his eye.

Wave walks up to the defenseless mad scientist. "I should kill you...after what you did to Kurome..." After thinking on it, he decides to deform, revealing his human self. "You're not even worth using Grand Chariot..." Bill looks up to see Wave in confusion, not recognizing him. "I used to be a member of the Empire's most Elite team the Jaegers. One of your experiments Kurome was a part of it with me. I had to see her suffer slowly thanks to the drugs you gave her. Not a day go by without seeing her suffer! Its all because of you! You sick bastard!"

The sick mad man spits blood from his side, carefully listening in. "You...fell in love with one of my children?" Suddenly, he cracks a little chuckle. "...heh...who exactly is the sick one boy?" Finding amusement in how he would love something he considered a thing. But his amusement turns into agony once Wave steps on his stomach hard, causing him to scream out loud in pain. "AAAAULCH! KUFFKUFFKOOF!" He would keel over, feeling unbearable pain.

The former Jaeger grits in rage. "I should kill you right now!" He puts more pressure on his gut. If he actually tried with all his might, he can completely crush his stomach. It will be so easy too. It would have been what Kurome wanted.

"We are here to bring criminals to justice and a trial. We can't afford to be judges, juries, or executioners anymore. Unless you actually agree with Esdeath's methods?"

Wave remembers Najenda's words before she sent him to this mission knowing how personal this is for him. Her voice oozes a lot of authority, not taking any of his grievances on not making Bill pay. But she also understands he is dangerous. So the best way to handle this is to not stoop to his level. Times changed. Wave understands this. Even if he feels like this isn't what this bastard deserves. He would shake it off, adding more pressure on his foot. "AAAAAAUUUUGH! GUH! GUAAAO!"

Jaune would rush in to see this, and knows what is going on. "Stop!" Wave pauses and notices the blonde. "We are here to lock him up! Not kill him!"

"How can you say that after hearing about all the stuff he did?!" Wave angrily said.

This would cause pause for the huntsman. He is reminded of how evil people can be. Just recently he lost someone because of one evil witch of a monster. But he shakes it off, knowing Najenda won't approve of this. He then remembered something. He then glares at Wave with a new found resolve. "So does that make you any better than Akame then?"

This had Wave stop. "...what?" He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

Jaune continues. "Look, maybe Akame was a killer. It's...worrying me...but you know, she at least tries to help people! How about you? Seems to me your only out for revenge. You don't care about keeping peace! Just your own self." Jaune's tone expresses disappointment.

The blue haired young man felt offended, but then thinks about a moment in his life. Back when he was a Jaeger. "You executed them didn't you...?" He remembers one of his partners killing small time thieves. "Listen, just because we Jaegers have special jurisdiction, doesn't mean we can kill people whenever we want!" But the flashback would alter, once his partner becomes all black with red glowing eyes. He felt dread hearing hearing her distorted voice.

"They weren't Night Raid...but they were admitted criminals...so I removed them from the populace...Justice is served..." Her voice oozes through his spine. This person, he considered her an ally and friend. But remembering her like this, he truly could see the monster who cares only for revenge. And he let her keep doing it. But why? Fear. He was afraid what would happen to him if he tried to stop her. Now he sees that he was acting like a coward back then. He condoned killing for the sake of blind revenge.

After seconds of silence, Wave lets Bill go and backs away silently. "..." He wouldn't say anything as he is lost on his own shame.

Jaune wouldn't expect that to work and quickly collect himself. "Um...guys?" He turns around to see Ren and Nora already there and alright.

"The children are safe." Ren would speak.

Nora gives her usual big smile. "Mission accomplished!"

With an optimistic smile, Jaune would feel more elated to feel the satisfaction of a victory. After letting out a sigh of relief, he notices Wave just standing away from them, alone in his thoughts. It was clear to him that he had something eating away in his mind. Of loss. He would know. After getting to know Akame, he can make a guess that this scrawny man must have done something to his own loved one.

Time pass and eventually the authorities would show up to handle the situation. The children would be recovered to debilitate them into society after the trauma they went through. The extraterrestrial devices confiscated from them. The scientists and guards of this operation would be all arrested for such a heinous act. It was recommended that all criminals must be given more fairer trials due to the justice system being overly rigged in the past. Although it is less likely that he would have a chance to plague everyone again. Jaune looks in relief to everything going well. Akame warned him how cut-throat the criminals are here, but he and his team did managed with no incident. After all, they fought monsters before. And despite taking a rocket to the face, he was fine thanks to his aura. It reminded him, of his old friend saying that he had a lot of it. He then notices Wave sitting alone, contemplating what he almost did.

"Hey." Jaune would greet the Imperial Arms User. "Look, I may not know your deal with Bill. He did deserve to pay, and he will. I know what its like to lose someone to someone evil..." He feels heat from his heart, remembering the careless monster again. "But that doesn't mean we should lose sight of what we need to do..." It was hard for him to say. The absence of his old friend he loved dearly still aches his heart. But seeing how intense things got, his instincts kick in. "I hope you can at least understand what I'm saying." He carefully said as he walks back to his friends.

After hearing his words, Wave would turn to see Jaune hanging with his friends. It reminded him of his old days as a Jaeger. He was rather the wide eyed rookie of the group. He wasn't weak, but he was more naive compared to the rest, who was much more experienced in fighting and killing. All he wanted was to serve the people and protect the law. Even when he knew the law was torturing the people. He did what he told. That's it. Jaune however didn't run like that during the mission. He knows that the people wish for a more death-free era, regardless of how people will feel about it. He never lost sight of what the people want or need. Wave lost sight the more he worked for the Empire. In a way, Jaune reminded Wave of his old self. It gives him a bit of hope thinking about it.

Suddenly, someone walks straight towards Jaune, which has Wave jolt in surprise. "Huh?" Jaune turns around to notice a familiar face. "Akame?!" Her face was expressing a smile as Akame is very happy to see them alright. "S-Shouldn't you be with the General or something?" A little worried knowing about Akame not being allowed to join them.

Her head shakes a bit. "I can't help but check up on you guys. Turns out you took care of yourselves quite well."

Nora wraps her arms around the unexpected blonde. "You're darn tootin' we did!" Said in a southern accent.

Ren speaks up. "He gave us trouble, but we managed."

Jaune smiled a bit of how his team was acting very positive. Although the memory of trying to handle the children did got him a bit spooked the more he thought about. No criminal he knew would go as far as experimenting drugs on kids. It was sick, he was surprised he handled this as well as he did.

Akame would look around and notice Bill being forced to enter a carriage. She gasps once she notices him. "That's...!"

Jaune notices her shocked look. "What's wrong?"

"The boss told me it was him...but I didn't think it was true! There is no doubt now...it's him!" She said still surprised. "I know I killed him...back then..." She flashes back when she angerly stabbed him through the heart after hearing about him drugging Kurome for years.

The blonde leader of JNR was worried, since he knows how efficient she is as a killer. Although a part of him has to believe that she must have messed up somehow. Cause there is no way he could come back from the dead. It got him worried now. What kind of secrets this place has? It gave him a grave feeling. After hearing of this war, and now getting to see the damage of said war from both Wave and Akame being nice but also damaged, Najenda's insistence of moving forward from the war, and seeing one of the monsters that made his way with innocence, just knowing what happened might drive him insane. He's already been through one tragedy, but that could pale in comparison of what many atrocities that happened. He could see it in the many workers and civilians eyes. He was blinded to it, now he notices the sadness, the anger, the fear. A tragedy never goes away, it sticks to the survivors. He knows after the Fall of Beacon, and just about everyone in this nation still feels the evil of men like Bill. To get his mind off of this madness, he only thought to himself...

"Ruby...please be safe..."

In a world of the future, one written in hope, the bright lights shining through the towering buildings. Nothing like the royal, ivory towers of the Empire. More focused on high tech enhancements than the architects of their forefathers. The midnight skies illuminated by the heavenly glows of civilizations pillars, with automobiles moving around in a routine movement. Up above, one building goes high with one lone soul watching the city in child-like wonder. "Wow..." A girl in black hair and red accents, and bright silver eyes. Wearing nothing but a black and grey dress and stockings.

"Get away from the window Hood! Do you want us to be spotted?!" Another young voice can be heard inside the apartment inside.

"Whoops!" The one named Hood gets back inside. "Sorry about that Ellie!"

The one named Ellie, is combing her hair in the bed they are staying in at the moment. "Stop calling me that, its Elizabeth! Ugh...watch what you call me when we're in a mission, dolt." She groans.

The older yet more childish girl flinched. "Dolt?!" Clearly offended.

"That's quite enough..." A booming voice comes out. A filtered voice. The girls would turn around to see the corner, which there is nothing there. Until it reveals a dark shadow that unveils himself through an invisible cloaking state. The same green eyes of Loser. He stays invisible, but his eyes are visible through the shadows of the corner. He is laying low, as he is seen as a criminal in the eyes of the authorities. But being a genius, he knew how to allude those after him. With a little help of course. But its all for his goals. He would be the first to notice a crow fly by the window Hood opened. "So what is the update?" He said to the black bird.

The crow would lift its head towards the invisible Loser. After smirking, the bird suddenly puffs into smoke. Then reveals itself to be a grown young lady. With fair pale skin, red eyes, pinkish auburn long hair, headphones, a black jacket over a white vest, black dress with red square patterns, and high boots. Along with a large black collar over her neck. "A writer named Shijuro Sakaki was found dead in his home. Drowned."

After silence, Elizabeth speaks up. "That's it?" Expressing disappointment. "Shijuro Sakaki lives in Lake Yasogami. He could have drowned in the lake outside his home. Why does that conjure our attention?"

The mysterious shape shifter begins to laugh. "Heh heh...Maybe if you paid attention to what I said you'll see why." Elizabeth growls in annoyance. "I said he was found dead IN his home. No pools or lakes inside his home." She then brings out a photo of what she means. One that greatly disturbs the girls. Shijuro himself lying on the ground, with water bubbling all over his wide open mouth, his pupils gone.

Loser watches this photo, non-flinching. "Hm...this must be the work of Numbers." He now focuses on his girls. "We must investigate this."

Hood then nods. "Don't worry boss! I'll make sure we get the job done! I'll protect Ellie too!"

The blonde haired girl sighs as well. "Yeah yeah...just as long as you don't sabotage our cover like last time." She said.

The innocent Hood would pout. "I said I was sorry!"

"Heh..." The shapeshifter chuckles a bit. "Well chief, I'm not too confident on her if I'm honest." Speaking to the cloaked Loser.

Hood slouches. "You too Chelsea?!" The bright auburn haired girl merely laughs at the bright silver eyed wonder. She only looks at the eyes of Loser. She could tell he is counting on her. This could be the day she's waiting for. Another step to finally know who she is.
