Chapter 12: Things get stranger

The mayor was on the phone with Monty about what had been going on. "I'm telling you Monty, I think they know you are collaborating with me in "the town's projects" as it's called," Friedlander explained, "From what they said to me, to Fredbear getting really hostile." "Oh for God's sake," Monty groaned, "They won't give up, will they? If I have to come down there to assert control, I won't be happy." "Oh yeah, did I forget your guys came to me this morning about something that happened yesterday?" asked Friedlander, this got Monty's attention, "They came to me about something that was missing. They said they couldn't find the files in the older building where we kept some of the them."

After a little silence, Monty said, "What?!" "Yeah, they're missing," said Friedlander, "You think Freddy and his friends have something to do with this?" Monty tried to keep it together, but it got progressively more difficult with every second. "M-M-Maybe?!" he said through gridded teeth, "With that mind...what's stopping me from paying a visit?!" It was then the mayor was getting a call from another caller. "I gotta put you on hold Monty," said Friedlander, "Somebody's calling."

With nothing but hold music accompanying the gator, all he could do was sit around and wait for Friedlander to not be on hold. Out of nowhere, he slammed his fist onto his desk. It was becoming very clear Monty couldn't hold back his anger for much longer. However, Monty knew he had to settle down a bit and not jump to conclusions either. Despite that, it didn't seem like his calmness was going to last for long.

Monty had quite the reputation for his anger. At times he'd break down doors and destroy anything in his path when he'd hear something that angers him enough or if something bad enough crosses his mind. And god forbid anyone got caught in Monty's fit of rage. Otherwise, it'd have pretty nasty results.

Mayor Friedlander came back, "Sorry about that, someone called me. And well...oh boy, where do I begin?" "What are you talking about?" asked Monty. "Something just happened." "And?" "Umm, remember how we were in the discussion of missing files?" "Yeah?" "One of the guards of one of the town buildings just called me and said what started off with an individual or two, ended up being a potential group that knocked out one out of 3 guards in the building and fled with files. Worst part of all is, the power was switched off, so nobody was caught on the surveillance cameras."

With this crushing news, Monty roared loudly as he took out a gun he had and fired it at the ceiling. He then swung his fist into his computer, breaking it. "GET FREDDY, HIS FRIENDS, AND HIS FATHER SEARCHED!!!" Monty bellowed, "EXPECT ME TO BE IN TOWN BY THE MORNING!!!" He then hung up the phone violently, leaving the mayor as quiet as ever.

Monty broke down the door to his office and everyone else in the corridor hid upon seeing him. They were all people who worked with him. And as Monty made his way down the corridor and to the main lobby, he said to himself, "Gonna have to go to HIM, and tell him it's party time!"

Monty marched out the front door and to the parking lot. He got into his car which was a really nice one, and drove it out. It was revealed that Monty's headquarters was located right within the Las Vegas strip. And if his headquarters was there of all places, then the gator was clearly as loaded as Freddy and the others thought.

Meanwhile, a dog was playing the keyboard at this restaurant area of some major hotel. He wore sunglasses and was dressed very formal. He was just finishing up with his final song of the night. Immediately after finishing, he got a huge applause from those in the restaurant. "Thank you everybody, thank you!" the dog said, "I hope you all have a good rest of your night! And enjoy your stay here at the Sandstorm Casino and Resort!" The curtain then closed.

After packing up and getting his equipment off stage, a guard approached him. "Hey man, your friend has come to see you," he said. "My friend?" the dog asked, "Wait, I think I know who you're talking about." He continued further into the backstage until he found Monty right nearby the exit.

"Hey Sparky," announced Monty, "It's party time!" The dog then looked at the guard, then back on Monty. "I think we should talk about this outside," he said. The two went out the exit and Sparky put his equipment aside. With no one around to listen in on their conversation, they could continue on with it. Plus, being outside in the back of the Sandstorm place, nobody was gonna be back there to listen in.

"If this is about going to a strip club for celebrating what was done, leave me out of it!" Sparky said bluntly, before showing Monty the wedding ring he was wearing, "Your talking with a married dog, who has been for 6 years now! I'm not about to throw my life away for-" "You've got it all wrong doofus!" Monty snapped, "Besides, you think I want you to throw your life away on stupid crap like that? Let's be a little more serious here. So to get things straight, NO, this isn't about strip clubs. It's about Fazbear's, they ain't backing down so easily. You know what that means, right?"

Sparky knew what Monty ment by that, as he slowly made a smirk. "It's party time?" he asked. "Party time!" Monty responded with enthusiasm.

Meanwhile, Freddy and the gang were reading through the files. It went into detail about the corruption process and how it would take time for things to work out in Monty's favor. The final pages were basically a step by step guide on bribery and hiring of those who are doing the bribery to higher positions.

"Ye think this is how the health inspector got hired?" asked Foxy. "It sure wouldn't shock me," Freddy replied, "I'm honestly the impression that he works with Monty." "Wouldn't it be funny though if this "health inspector" was actually just some random guy who didn't know jack shit?" asked Buster. Everyone laughed. "That would be the best plot twist of the year!" replied Chica. "As much as I'd like to imagine that, it's probably no dumbass," said Fredbear, "Still an open possibility, but I have my personal doubts."

"So Freddy, now what do we do?" asked Bonnie. "I would say we send this to the government for help," said Freddy, "But from the looks of it, we aren't done just yet." He then pointed to something that was seen on the last page. This was something even weirder as it had never been hinted beforehand or even merely mentioned.

In the scenario of where desperate measures need to be taken, go to building 37B and in room 232, there is a set of further instructions.

"What the hell is building 37B?" asked Fredbear, "Sounds like some weird name someone made up." "Probably the building code name," Freddy assumed. "I'll look it up on the web," said Buster.

He looked it up on the computer in the security office with everyone around him. From what the web made it out to sound, it looked like a home somewhere in the outskirts of town. But when the maps part was turned on to show what it looked like in person, it was different than anticipated. It was a two story building that looked like it would be rented out for parties and such.

"Really? That's building 37B?" asked Chica, "I was expecting it to be similar to the one we went in, but this is fine too." "Let's see if there's upcoming events first before we attempt any entry," Buster said, as he typed if there were any events in town within that vicinity. Nothing showed up, but that didn't mean there wouldn't be anything at all either.

"And so it continues," said Foxy. "You didn't fall asleep? That's a surprise," said Bonnie. "When ye get invested enough, the sleepiness goes away," Foxy said. "Speaking of which, I'm getting a bit tired, we'll continue this tomorrow I suppose," said Buster. "After all that running we did around the building we were just in, there's no doubt it took a lot of energy out of us," Freddy agreed.

The gang eventually put the files in the security office and put them somewhere with the other ones. Then they all left to go home, with Freddy locking the front door. All they seemingly needed were just these final files and they could be turned in to the government. Meaning that they would potentially get aid in taking down Monty's plans.

Little did they know though, Monty was coming to town, and with someone they used to see as a friend...
