Dragonlord001 - Thanks for the suggestion. That was the plan for this fic, so expect it to happen in future chapters.
Izuku watch in horror as he saw the statue apporaching him. In fear, he hastily runs away from it as far as possible. His mind ran hundred miles per hour out of panic.
'Great, great, great, you bow towards a random statue that resembles a holy being, and now it starts to chase you like a stalker on period or a yandere!! It didn't help with that creepy and horrifying glowing eyes!!!! I don't know which is worse, a giant statue chasing me just to trample me like an ant or being chased by Bakugou! Oh, who am I kidding!!! Being chased by a so-called 'god' statue with laser eyes is so much worse!!!' Izuku mentally panicked.
As he ran, he took off the jacket of his gakuran and tied it around his missing hand. He winces in pain before looking around frantically. The second part of the commandment played in his mind.
'Thou shall praise god. How am I supposed to praise god!? I never go to a church!! A compliment!? I doubt any kind of compliment from a mere human for gods will even work!!!' Izuku looks around, only to see more and more statues approaching. 'Oh come on!!!'
Izuku suddenly saw the whole area become darker before he looked up and paled. He accidentally runs towards a knight statue holding a giant mace. He slides down roughly through the gap between the legs of the statue before he almost loses his balance from the impact of the mace.
'That one swing alone is enough to create such a tremor!?!? If I didn't dodge those, I would've been a bloody pancake!!' Izuku's mind ran twice as he grew more panicked. What should he do!? What can he do to even praise the god?! Oh, he wishes that it gives him a proper manual instead of a cryptic shit! His life is in line here!
Izuku accidentally crashes into one of the statues and he falls to the ground with a bloodied nose. He groans while holding his nose before looking up and pale, he accidentally bumps into an angel statue playing a trumpet. Suddenly, weirdly beautiful music started to play from the trumpet as the knight slowed down.
Izuku was confused as the knight still approached him but much slower than usual. He looks back at the angel statue where the music still plays.
"Thou shall praise the god..." Izuku mutters before looking at other statues holding different instruments like a harp, or guitar, maybe? Violin, drum, and one who's singing.
"S-so...Do I have to reach all of the statues? The 'friendly' ones!?" Izuku panted in disbelief as the knight statues continued to reach him slowly. "Fuck..." Izuku can't help but cry out of frustration at this stupidly impossible scenario.
'Why? Why? Why?! Why am I in this situation!?!' Izuku thought while continuously wiping his tears off his face. 'This is insane! I'm going to die here in a gruesome way and it ain't funny!!!'
"You know, if you want to get a quirk so badly, why don't you just take a swan dive off a roof and hope that you'll get your quirk in your next life!?" Izuku halted as that particular memory played in my mind. Bakugou's voice mocked him at the back of his head.
Bakugou, the bastard who won't leave him alone just because they share the same dream. The same bastard who always destroys his stuff to discourage him because he's quirkless. The same bastard who didn't think while telling him to take a swan dive off a roof!
This fueled the rage Izuku didn't know he had inside him, gritting his teeth in anger before looking around the area. He notices that the knights start to get faster and his mind starts to move at faster speed.
'The knights seem to move slower when I reach the 'friendly' statue, but judging from them starting to pick up the pace, there's a certain time I can slow them down. If I can go into another statue...can I slow them down again?' Izuku thought as he wiped his tears off his face. He takes a deep breath and runs as fast as possible to the nearest statue.
This causes the knight to rush towards Izuku at a high speed. But, thanks to his small stature and the experience of running away from bullies, he managed to reach the next statue, which holds the drum and beautiful music, which Izuku would enjoy if it were not for the current situation, and starts to play again, but this time it's louder. Izuku saw the knight start to get slower again.
'I can keep slowing down the knight by running towards the 'friendly' statue! And to the next statue...' Izuku looked at another statue and gulped. A shield-wielding knight statue was near to the statue with a guitar. Is it a guitar? Izuku thinks he's going to find out what instrument is if he ever gets out of this damn place.
'Great...time to go plus ultra...I guess...' Izuku panted before taking a few deep breaths and started running again. The shield knight lifts its shield upward as Izuku narrows his eyes. As he saw the knight prepare to slam its shield down, Izuku immediately took a step back, narrowly avoiding a shield slamming onto the ground by a hair. Izuku snaps out of his shock and runs into the next statue. Izuku sighs in relief as the music plays louder.
'Next...' Izuku feels his lungs burning and he shakes his head, ignoring the pain. He controls his breath before looking at the other statues. Izuku grits his teeth as he sees the knight statues are too close to comfort. Izuku admits that he might've underestimated the statue's speed, believing it'll be a lot slower because of its huge body.
Izuku shakily gets up before running towards the violin player statue. Izuku ignores the pain in his legs as he continues to run. As he reaches the statue, the music starts to get louder.
'Wait, why is it too easy?' Izuku thought before looking at the knight and pales. It seems that the statue knows what Izuku is doing and starts to approach the other friendly statue. It moves slowly, but Izuku can see their intentions.
'They have more intelligence than I thought!!' Izuku can't help but panic before he looks at the next statue which isn't far and starts running. 'I don't care if my physical body breaks because of this farce, I'm not going to die here!!'
Izuku easily reaches the harp-playing statue before he rushes into another. As Izuku runs, he notices another weird thing.
'I'm leaving from one statue to another, but why are their speed remains as slow as before!? They increased their paces whenever I left for another statue, so it doesn't make sense why they remained as slow as before!? Something's wrong here!!' Izuku shakes off his thoughts and tries to reach the final statue, but his burning lungs cause him to slow down. Izuku saw the knights stop before facing him and he realized that he had fallen to their trap.
They manage to make him desperate to finish fulfilling the second commandment so he'll get tired and they simply target him. Izuku's mind starts to panic again but that particular memories start to play again. Out of anger, Izuku continues to run, ignoring the hellfire unleashed in his lungs and a thousand needles stabbing his legs as he reaches the singing statue. Suddenly, the whole area turns dark as Izuku looks at his back. He pales as the knight with the shield is behind him and is about to slam down his shield.
Izuku jumped from there as the shield struck down, but Izuku was too late as the shield made contact.
BOOMM!!!!
"AARRRRGGGHHH!!!!!" A scream Izuku wasn't expected he could pull it off left his mouth as he crawled into the bottom of the statue. He ignores the sudden intense pain and continues to crawl desperately. As he crawls, he feels his fingernails chip away and even start breaking. With all of his determination, Izuku slams his palm into the bottom part of the statue and it starts to sing.
Izuku pants tiredly as he grunts and adjusts himself. He looked down and could only blankly stare at it. Both of his feet are missing, he only saw a pair of stumps, blood, blood, blood, and more blood.
Izuku breathes heavily before looking at the altar suddenly shakes and lowers itself. Izuku stares at the altar numbly before coughing out some blood. The cough slowly turns into a humorless chuckle.
"Thou shall prove thy faith...so this is what you want in the first place...to sacrifice myself to that altar..." Izuku said while looking at the grinning god statue. "I can't believe this...to think I was dancing at the palm of your hand...this is a losing bet...from the beginning..."
Izuku lowers the front part of his body and he starts to crawl again. Missing both of his legs and a hand made it much slower, and his fingernails felt like it's coming off his fingers as he continued to crawl. It took a few good minutes but Izuku managed to get into the altar while lying on the growing pool of blood.
To rub salts into injury, several fireballs appear around the altar as the door that locked Izuku inside suddenly opens. Izuku blankly stares at the door before he simply collapses into the altar.
"Damn it..." Izuku mutters as he can't help but start crying. He wasn't expecting that he would truly die after being suicide baited. Izuku takes a few shaky breaths before-
JLEB!!!
"ARRRKKHHH!!!" Izuku shouts in pain as the giant sword stabs him in his gut and into the altar, blood starts to cover the whole altar. As this happens, life flashes before Izuku's eyes.
"I'm sorry, ma'am. But your son is quirkless."
"I'm sorry, Izuku! I'm sorry!!!"
"What!? You want to be a hero!?!? A quirkless Deku like you!?!"
"Hahaha!!! There's no way he can be a hero!!!"
"You know, if you want to get a quirk so badly, why don't you just take a swan dive off a roof and hope that you'll get your quirk in your next life!?"
Izuku suddenly gains some of his strength as he grabs the sword, desperately trying to pull it off his body.
'I don't want to die! I don't want to die!!! I can't leave my mom alone!!! That deadbeat of a father has caused too much suffering for her!!! I-I have so many things to say to her!!! I want...I want my mom to be happy once more instead of worrying me over and over again!! I don't want to end like this!!! I-if only...one more chance...If I could get one more chance...' Izuku's mind stopped screaming for a moment as he saw the other knight's weapons slowly descend toward him. 'I...I want to fulfill my dream...and make my mom happy again...'

[Notice!]
[You have met all the requirement to complete the secret quest: (Courage of the Weak)]
'W-what...?' The time around Izuku stops as he sees a giant blue screen right in front of him. Then the screen flickers again.
'What is this? Am I hallucinating? What do you mean secret quest!?!'
[You now qualify as a player. Do you accept?]
[Yes/No]
'What? What? What?' Izuku can't stop thinking as his vision starts to get blurry as another screen pops up. Izuku is barely able to look but he managed to read the gist of the letter.
'If I don't accept...I'll die...' Izuku closed his eyes. The last thing he thought of was '...yes.'
