ProjectIceman:...why, just why!?
Also, are you the same ProjectIceman from AO3? I keep forgetting to ask about this
hasbullah.m: buddy, have you ever play a game or watch gameplays? There's skills he can level up and he did when it was clearly displayed on last chapter. Also, leveling up is jackshit if you don't have an actual battle experience, basically, a low-leveled but skilled player can still beat a high-level but unskilled player. It's the point of the training, showing no matter how high your level is or how powerful your superpower is, a skilled fighter can still beat him, while at the same time, avoiding copying Solo Leveling where Sung beast S-Rank heroes just to show how strong he has become. And let's not forget, those heroes has years of experiences, while Izuku and Kirishima are kids who just start to fight properly. If you're looking for instanly overpowered character story, this isn't the story for you. This fic is more than just 'Izuku level ups and overpowered every shit', you know...
Yakiniki Restaurant
Shizouka, Japan
"Urrrgghh..." Tsukauchi groans as he lowers his head, holding a small cup of sake with a bright blush on his face and a dazed look. Toshinori watches his friend in worry.
"Naomasa, you're okay?" Tsukauchi could only give All Might a dry stare. "Right, stupid question. What happened?"
"...everything I know about my life has flipped upside down." Tsukauchi moans. "First, we start with the disappearances of Gate Victims. And before you ask, yes, I saw the Gate with my very own eyes, and I'm completely convinced."
"You're not convinced before?" Toshinori can't help but feel hurt. Ever since Tsukauchi found out he's All Might, Toshinori has never told any more lies to his detective best friend and Tsukauchi knows that. Hearing his closest friend admit he wasn't fully convinced by Toshinori's words hurt a bit.
"Sorry, I trust you because you're my closest friend," Tsukauchi said. "But, when you have lived most of your lifetime believing everything by experiencing it, then suddenly someone told you that most of the things are lies, you can't help but feel a bit of skepticism."
Toshinori sighs, knowing his friend is right. For all his life, he only knows quirks, heroes, and villains like the majority of society. Then, a life-changing event that shatters everything he knows of, it's hard to believe but it's also hard to ignore it. Then, he learns a power that is much greater than Quirks.
He shudders imagining that man found out about this.
"And let's not forget, opening the can of worm, HPSC." Tsukauchi grunts before placing his arm on his head. "They hid too many secret, Toshi...including everything regarding Lady Nagant and Hawks. And then the police. Gods...how did I even tolerate them in the first place!? They blatantly ignore the red flags because I quote, 'This isn't our problems to solve'. BITCH, WE'RE THE POLICE DEPARTMENT!! IT'S SUPPOSES TO BE OUR JOB!!!"
Toshinori frowns as he remembers that one time he met the young hero. She seems to always be followed by a man with a bluish-white hair. Lady Nagant's face made him feel uneasy due to the amount of sadness and horror it radiated. When HPSC declares her as a villain for killing the previous HPSC president, he can't seem to notice something is wrong.
And speaking of police officers, All Might never exactly respects any of them. All of them, besides Naomasa and his partner-in-crime, Sansa, are nothing but lazy slobs who let heroes do their job for them. Sure, their job is capturing villains, but the police made it sound like they did all the heavy lifting when it's the opposite.
"Do...you know what happens?" Toshinori asked as Tsukauchi looked at his friend.
"Know what?" Tsukauchi asked.
"About Lady Nagant?" Tsukauchi stares at him before giving him a sly grin.
"Oh, interested in a younger woman, eh?" Tsukauchi teased.
"No, our age gaps will make me look like a pedophile." Toshinori deadpan as Tsukauchi paused before covering his face.
"Great, now let me bury myself in shame," Tsukauchi mutters as Toshinori grabs the bottle of sake away.
"You drank too much." Toshinori dryly stated.
"Let me drink, Toshi..." Tsukauchi whines, causing Toshinori to snort, holding back his laughter. He had always seen Tsukauchi as calm and collected, so seeing him drunk like this was amusing
"Nope." Tsukauchi groans.
"Let me drink so I can forget how a giant lizard man beats two boy's asses this morning," Tsukauchi said, causing Toshinori coughs out blood in shock.
"...Tsukauchi, what the fuck?" Toshinori said in shock, confusion, and horror.
"STOP ASKING AND LET ME DRINK, DAMN IT!!!"
Kirishima's New Apartment
Chiba, Japan
"Urrrgghh..." Kirishima groans as Izuku sighs.
"Eijirou, you weren't supposed to do that..." Izuku said patiently, but Kousuke could see a vein throbbing on Izuku's forehead. "If you use this method, it'll not only overcomplicate things, but it'll also give different results."
"Why are we even learning maths!?" Eijirou whines. "It's not like we're gonna use it in real life!"
"..." Izuku grips the table so hard, it starts to groan from the sheer pressure caused by Izuku's grips and cracks start to spread around the wood. "Stop complaining...if you plan to go to UA, you're gonna need this. Because no matter how you look at it, it's still a school. So, unless you want to fail and walk back home with nothing but shame, I suggest to get yourself together AND TAKE THIS FUCKING LESSONS SERIOUSLY!"
This causes the table to fully shatter into splinters, startling Eijirou and Kousuke as they stumble back. Izuku blankly stares at the table before walking away and returning with a broom.
"...I'm going to buy a new one for you, don't think too much about it," Izuku said as he swept away the splinters. Kirishima simply nodded dumbly, visibly shaking from Izuku's sudden outburst.
Izuku and Kirishima did what Gang Orca asked them since they got employed as his interns. They did have the group therapy session and it did wonders. But, since they only have a few sessions, it's still a long way to go. Especially when Izuku still has so much pent-up anger.
"...sorry about this..." Izuku mutters. Eijirou shakes his head before he helps Izuku out.
"Don't worry too much about it. I wasn't being cooperative, anyways." Eijirou chuckles sheepishly. "I know how much anger you have pent up over the years. I don't mind you let it loose, especially if it helps you get better."
"..." Izuku can't help but smile at his friend, grateful for him. Kirishima may have gotten on his nerves sometimes, but unlike Bakugou, he didn't do it out of malice.
"...so, what do you expect for our tomorrow's internship?" Kirishima asked.
"Probably training." Kirishima groans when Izuku mentions that.
"Training my ass. It's literally 'kicking the newbie's ass' session!" Kirishima exclaims as Izuku chuckles.
"But, you have to admit, it gives up a lot of fighting experiences." Izuku points out, how they have fought Crust, Godzillo, and Edgeshot. Crust easily beat their ass with his intense strength and his skill [Taunt] . Izuku's pent-up anger and Kirishima's primal instinct made it a super effective move, causing them to lose their rational thoughts and attack like wild animals. Gang Orca stated that if Crust didn't have any fighting experiences, they both could've killed Crust, something that still scares them these days.
Or the time when Edgeshot oneshot them using [Agility Up] and [Ignore Defense] , making the fastest battle in the UEIS sparring record, much to their embarrassment.
As for Godzillo...they don't talk about Godzillo...
"Yeah...I just wish they didn't beat us every time." Izuku chuckles.
"Well, I think it's a good thing." Kirishima stares at Izuku in disbelief. "What?"
"Izu-bro...are you secretly a masochist?" Multiple veins throbbed on Izuku's face before he punched Kirishima into the ground, knocking him out in a second before he was forcefully woken up by Izuku crushing his balls. "AARRRGGHH!!! IZU-BRO, IZU-BRO!!! YOU'RE CRUSHING MY BALLS!!!"
"HOW DARE YOU!!! I SAY THAT BECAUSE IT'S A LESSON THAT MADE SURE TO KEEP US HUMBLE!!"
"OKAY, OKAY!! I'M SORRY! I'M SORRY!!! PLEASE STOP!!! I THINK MY BALLS ARE ABOUT TO POPPED!!!"
"Say 'uncle', you damn musclehead!!"
"Uncle! Uncle!"
Kousuke simply stares at them innocently, wondering if they're practicing for some sort of comedy routine.
The next day
"Ouch..." Kirishima groans and uncomfortably walks on the street with Izuku, who simply gives him a sheepish grin.
"Sorry...I overdid it..." Izuku said as Kirishima glared at Izuku. "Umm...there's a good yakiniku restaurant near my home. My treat."
"...fine..." Kirishima grumbles as Izuku brightens up. They both walk to the HQ and notice there are so many employees in the training ground. Izuku's enhanced senses help him to notice a projector at the front alongside the pros.
"Alright." Gang Orca's voices boomed across the room. "Thank you for attending this meeting. The reason behind this meeting is to warn you all of a possible danger."
Izuku and Kirishima look at each other in confusion as the crowd starts to discuss things with each other. Gang Orca looks at Tsukauchi, who nods tiredly and presses a button. The projector shows an image of a woman with two-colored hair and a man with bluish-white hair.
"These are Lady Nagant and Agent Hail. Our informer has seen them entering the gates for these two weeks. And they managed to find one thing, they have been dragging Tartarus prisoners into the Gate and murdering them in there." Gang Orca said, catching everyone off guard. Izuku and Kirishima seem surprised at the revelation.
"After more investigations, it's revealed that the victims were mostly prisoners who are going to be released through political means." Gang Orca stated. "We don't know the motives behind their massacre, but I would suggest you one thing. If you encounter them, run away."
This causes the whole room to be silent. Izuku grips his fist tightly. He wanted to do something about this but with how Gang Orca tells them to run away, he knows he means business. Izuku knows a lot about Lady Nagant, a hero who was imprisoned for killing the previous HPSC president.
He tries to ask Gang Orca about it, but he refuses to elaborate since he's only an intern, and the information isn't something you can share lightly with anyone.
(Cue Naomasa sneezing)
"You all know what Lady Nagant is capable of thanks to her being a former pro hero appearing in the news. So, I'll just explain about Agent Hail." Gang Orca states as the image changes into a man with bluish-white hair. "Agent Hail has been the main mercenary HPSC has hired for a long time. His quirk, [No Sell] allows him to be completely undetected by anyone unless people look right at him. His magic [Hazy Snow] removes his weakness, as it allows the user to mess with their senses. It can also act as a normal snow."
Izuku shudders to think about it. That's a perfect tool for assassination. And given how many times HPSC has hired the man for several times, he can't help but wonder how much blood was on the man's hand.
"Please, be careful of your surroundings. They're no mere villains you can fight alone." Gang Orca says in a serious tone as everyone in the room shouts in agreement. "Now, you all can return to your work. Apologize for taking your time."
Izuku ignores everyone shouting in disagreement and saying Gang Orca shouldn't apologize. Kirishima seems to notice this and can't help but worry about his friend. As everyone walked out of the training ground, they were greeted by Mirko cracking her knuckles.
"So, it's my turn, eh?" Mirko said with a loud grin. "Midoriya, I hope you don't mind me testing the cub myself, right?"
Izuku looks at her before he walks away from the arena. Kirishima looks at his friend in shock before panicking.
"H-hey, Izu-bro! You can't seriously leave me with her-!?" Kirishima didn't get a chance to finish his question as he barely dodged Mirko's drop kick but she switched into a roundhouse kick, sending Kirishima crashing into the wall.
"Don't talk and fight! Show me how good you are compared to Midoriya, little cub!" Izuku can't help but sweatdrops. Ever since he and Mirko fight and reconcile, she starts calling him Midoriya out of respect. He notices that out of everyone, she only calls him, Gang Orca, and Godzillo either by their first or last name. The rare occasions she calls them by nickname are mostly for lighthearted teasing.
Suddenly, a red blur charges at Mirko and punches her away, but she can regain her footing. The red blurs reveal to be Kirishima in his wereliger form, snarling at Mirko, who simply gave him a feral grin.
"Good!" Mirko licks her lip as she cracks her neck. "Now, the real fights begin." Izuku chortles when Kirishima stops snarling before he shrinks down and a small whimper escapes his mouth.
After one fight, Izuku witnesses the biggest one-sided beatdown after Godzillo. Kirishima ends with his whole head buried on the ground with his body turns limp. Lulu has to chase after Mirko to teach her a 'lesson'.
Yeah, this is how his internship was.
