Lloyd POV: After watching a couple of movies I heard Kai snoring and decided to let him sleep. I laughed a little as I laid him back because he was making some impressive sounds. But I did leave him be to find the others. It's been a while since any of them have checked in on us. Which means something else was going on. And just because I had to think about my ribs doesn't mean that I don't want to know.

But I wasn't expecting the massacre that was happening on the deck. Nya and Zane were wiping the floor with Cole and Jay. With no mercy, I might add. Nya was going fast and hard on her boyfriend, not giving him the chance to counterstrike. All the while Zane was being strategic on Cole, outsmarting him and predicating his moves. Watching this slaughter makes me kind of glad that I was injured. I hate to imagine what they would do to me.

As I watched Jay noticed me and yelled, "Lloyd, save us! They're going crazy!" But him doing that left him open and Nya knocked him off his feet.

"I'm not going crazy. I just have some energy to burn." She simply said, laughing a little before helping him up.

"Sure, we'll go with that." He responded, but he soon laughed with her. Cole and Zane also stopped, and Cole sighed loudly in relief

"As much as I would like to think I could save you. I'm also not crazy enough to get between you two, Jay." I said, and he gasped dramatically from that.

"But you're the Green Ninja?!" He said, and I just shrugged. Totally not ignoring the slight pain that followed.

"Yeah, but that doesn't mean anything when it comes to an angry Nya." We all laughed from that.

"Anyway, how's Kai? Is he back to sleeping patrol?" Cole asked, and I nodded.

"He was out after our third movie." I answered, and that made Zane pull out his thinking face.

"That means that he is regaining strength. Which will, in turn, help him recover faster." He said after a few moments. That alone perked everyone up.

"That's good." Nya said, really happy about that. And Jay hugged her from behind.

"Yeah, soon he'll be back to wiping the floor with you instead of Nya, Jay." Cole commented, earning a look from him as the rest of us laughed.

"Anyway, what were you guys doing? I only left you guys alone for a little while." I asked, and they all shared a quick look.

"Well, if you must know. Nya and Zane clearly needed a distraction. And we were left with no choice but to offer ourselves as tribute." Cole explained, with Jay nodding dramatically.

"Translation; they offered to train with us to take our minds off both you and Kai's condition." Zane explained, and I tried not to laugh since he missed the point.

"I get it. But maybe next time you guys could try to not go so hard on them. We don't want anyone else to join him." I suggested, and Nya rolled her eyes a little, but nodded.

"Kind of too late to say that, Mr. Broken Ribs Man." Jay teased, and I rolled my eyes at him.

But they all silently agreed with him and they started training again at a much more toned down level. But they refused to let me join since I was still technically healing. So I found myself watching them from the steps, and forcing myself from just jumping in without any warning. That might work for a moment. But the idea of getting lectured later wasn't something that I wanted for my future.

But I was content either way. Because things were finally starting to get back to normal. Even though Kai was still trapped in his bed, he was starting to act more like himself. Plus, my ribs were hurting less and less by the day. And that means I will be able to train again soon. That gave me something to look forward to. At least until Kai was able to move around again.

I know that he was going to need a wheelchair for a bit, but Nya and I already promised each other that one of us would stay by him to help. Since both of us, as well as the others, knew that he was going to try and walk if he was unsupervised. I think he knows that too, but he was too stubborn to really care about that though.

Strangely enough, I was looking forward to that. Since that means he was recovering perfectly.

Kai POV: I must have fallen asleep during the movie, since I found myself waking up a little sore. But I was a little confused at first since I was lying down. Though I knew that Lloyd must have helped me and I just moved to sit up. It was hard at first since I only had one working arm. Plus there was everything else, but I managed to do it in as little pain as possible. I hope that means I will be able to leave soon.

My phone was out of reach though, so I was stuck like this until someone showed up. But I hope that they were too distracted to do that anytime soon. I wanted to spend time with them, but they couldn't spend every waking moment with me. Injured or not, I can't ask that of them. I would feel too bad for dragging them away from what they want to do just because I was bored.

I sighed deeply, and that reminded me that I still had the oxygen mask on my face. How did I forget that was on my face? I can't wait to take this off, but the last thing I want to do is frustrate Zane by doing that.

I groaned slightly and just looked out the window. It looked like a really nice day outside. Sunny with some clouds, and it probably feels so nice out too. I really can't wait to feel the breeze on my face again. Running across the rooftops of Ninjago City, and just enjoying the moment. Without worrying about anything else.

That was the fun part of being a ninja, and I can't wait to get back to it. Even if I have to suffer through it right now. But again, I have to remember that it's so much better when the others, all of them, are there with me.

Then again, I promised Lloyd to not self-sacrifice so much. I personally think that I don't do as much as he thinks, but if it makes him feel better than I guess it's another promise I have to keep. But first I have to get better in order to start.

If only it would go faster than it is right now.
