Author's Note: Apologies for the late posting, but like Lemony Snickett I was dealing with a series of unfortunate events. Mother was in the hospital, then my father, then my air conditioner broke and it was way to hott to write, then I got Covid. And I somehow became the forever DM in my DnD group. Okay that last one isn't that bad, but it trying to balance the prep for that and writing was a challenge.
And I've finally seen the first of the new seasons. It was so good, and I am really bad at guessing eliminations. I thought for sure Ripper wasn't going to make it to the merge, and Scary Girl lasted way longer than I thought.
Disclaimer: I don't own Total Drama, the shuffled concept or the (most of) the characters.
And to answer some reviews:
Derick Lindsay: Not every elimination can be a shocker, and those that aren't should be pretty heavily foreshadowed. I went back and forth on which twin should be there for Ella before accidentally going with both, but I think it fits. You make some good points on Dawn's future pairings. I'll admit I'm having an easier time coming up with potential plots for Terrance than for Natasha.
Guest: Noted.
Crash x Fusion: I do wish I hadn't backed out of his his original design, Bowie turned out to be my new favorite villain. Thank you for your vote in the poll, but Natasha's kinda in the same boat as Terrance when it comes to personality. As manipulative as they are, they don't really hide anything about themselves. Glad you liked the twist on the challenge, it was an idea to give each team a reasonable chance at winning. I think this is the only time I had Ella do an eating challenge, or do you mean fics in general, because the only other one I can think of was Shuffled World Tour and she won that one. Sorry to disappoint, but that double cameo was an accident that I'm leaving in, and there will be no double eliminations. There are 30 all-stars and 24 campers. We can afford to have some doubles.
EndevorT: Noted.
graywolt: The ballot has been recognized.
Gucci Mane LaFlare: Glad you liked the episode. Matthew is an odd duck when it comes to feedback. But the general consensus seems to be 'love to hate.'
Grey Badge: I felt the need to make a nice obvious boot, considering some of the more out of left fields ones coming. I'm greatly surprised by how well Camdie and Evzekiel work. Thank you so much for your kind words as well as your vote.
Shuffollwer: Well I was gone for a year, can't say I blame you The plan is for the loser of the two to end up in a odd friendship. Thinking about doing a love triangle that ends with the guys become friends over their crush on the nature lover.
Guest 2: Giving unfairly shafted campers a better ending was like 45% of the reason why I wrote this. Your vote has been countedIt was an accident, but I'm leaving it. And for Matthew. Oh no, Shaun and Mack were mean to be reviled characters, look at how much people hate their composite.
LazloVader9943: Gwen will have her own share of trouble after this.
SuperSonicHeroes: Congratulations! Glad you liked the twist on the challenge. The couples have become my favorite part of this season, it's honestly surprising. I guess I can promise that at least one of the campers you're rooting for will make the merge.
Remaining Campers:
Ferrets of Failure: Dakota, Dave, Ezekiel, Gwen, Harold, Lindsay, Sky
Llamas of Loserdom: Amy, Cameron, Carly, Eva, Sadie, Scott, Shawn
Quite a collection eh? Time to see who'll make it through the painful trip down memory lane.
Episode 12: Relay-tionships
"Last time, on Total Drama Redemption!" The recap began with the scene of the wheel spinning, and Chef revealing two plates of scrambled eggs. "The teams put their trivia skill and luck to the tase test." Amy, then Dave were shown about to vomit.
"Sometimes teams got to eat a delish dish," Cameron was shown smiling as he ate a burger, "and sometimes they got something offal." Ella was shown struggling to eat a burrito. "In the end, the Ferrets managed to fail once again," the Llamas were shown cheering. "And due to her dainty stomach," Ella was shown running out of the craft tent with bulging cheeks, "Ella had to sing her swan song," the singer was kicked into the night.
Chris flashed a cocky grin from the end of the new dock, Chef standing next to him with an impish look on his face. "We're ten down and fourteen to go. Will the Ferrets manage to fail yet again, or will the Llamas return to loserdom. Find out on another episode of, Total! Drama! Redemption!"

[The opening theme began similarly to the way it did in season six – a shift into letterbox format for a shot of a rocky forest waterfall, a broken stagelight rotating up from behind some rocks and flickering a bit before the light died. Then a rusty spotlight swings down from the unseen branches of some mossy, mushroom-ridden tree. The shot moves to a pond where a brown bear wearing a scuba mask sits in the water glaring at a frog on a lily pad, both animals looking surprised as the lily pad is suddenly lifted into the air by a duct tape covered security camera rising up from below it. A rabbit sitting on a rock on the beach is pushed away by a panel in the rock slamming down on it, another broken camera emerging from within, and a pair of white-skinned hands clap a film slate in front of the main camera.
As the film slate is pulled away the camera flies forward past the camp facilities, and over the top of the host drinking coffee in a director's chair just as the lyrics start.]
Dear Mom and Dad, I'm doin' fine;
[The camera flies through the trees and up to a cliff, peeking over to see the interns swimming away from Scuba Bear.]
You guys are on my mind!
[The camera dives off the cliff and into an underwater shot; a fully-clothed Cameron gagging.]
Ya asked me what I wanted to be,
And now I think the answer is plain to see!
[Cameron frantically swims up and grabs on to the end of an oar. The camera pans up to reveal Eva as the one rowing the boat; she pulls her oar out of the water and is startled to see Cameron clinging to it, and even more so when something starts pulling him back. But with a fierce yet muted roar, Eva manages to pull the oar away from the the thing...and in doing so, throw Cameron high into the sky.]
I wanna be...famous!
[Cameron hangs in front of the sun for a moment before coming back down into the woods. The camera pans down to Gwen drawing on a stump while surrounded by a guitar playing Trent and a singing Ella. Cameron falls from the sky and knocks Gwen down, startling Trent and Ella. The camera zooms out to show Scott watching the scene and laughing, and then again to show Lindsay crossing her arms and pursing her lips at him.]
I wanna live close to the sun!
[The camera zooms to another part of camp, showing Leonard and Gary surfing down a river.]
Well pack your bags, 'cause I've already won!
[The shot pans forward a bit, showing Harold and Sierra also on surfboards. Leonard and Gary arrive on screen, but while the three boys are busy showing off, Sierra's eyes widen and she ducks. She just barely misses getting hit by a low lying branch that the boys smack into.]
Everythin' to prove, nothin' in my way;
[The camera rapidly pans over to the outhouses. Ezekiel opens the door to one and a thick green cloud comes out of it, causing him to look nauseous and pass out. The camera pans over to the craft service tent.]
I'll get there one day.
[The camera moves in past the window to show a smirking Chef, stirring a large pot of something sickly green. He looks behind him to where Sam is sitting and playing on a handheld game console. Dakota is looking over his shoulder as he plays.]
'Cause I wanna be...famous!
[The camera pans left to show Sky and Dave chatting. Britney comes out of nowhere to separate the two and sit on Dave's lap, glaring at Sky all the while. The camera zooms pans left again to the opening of the tent and flashes to an open field. Amy knocks a bouquet of flowers out of a kneeling Rodney's hands, then pushes over Sadie as the the girl bends down to pick up a shell.]
(Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[A pan rightward shows Jaxon making a screen gesture with his fingers. He looks from the left to the right and rolls his eyes in irritation.]
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[Another pan to the right centers the camera on Anne Maria spraying her hair. She notices the camera on her and glares, spraying it enough that the thick cloud covers the whole screen.]
I wanna be! I wanna be! I wanna be famous! (Na-na nanananaa, nanana-nanaa, na-nananananaa)
[The cloud dissipates to reveal Carly and Shawn sitting at a campfire in front of a large full moon. They lean in for a kiss but are interrupted by Chris's sudden appearance between them while wearing a zombie mask, startling them both into running away. As Chris takes off his mask to laugh, the shot zooms out to show the other campers also sitting around the fire - Ella, Trent, Gwen, Sky, Amy, Sam, Dakota, Ezekiel, Gary, Scott, and Rodney with Carly trembling behind them on the left; and Anne Maria, Britney, Dave, Cameron, Sadie, Eva, Leonard, Lindsay, Sierra, and Jaxon with Shawn trembling behind them on the right. The zoom continues even further, showing the signboard over the firepit's entrance which now read 'Total Drama Redemption'.]

A harsh trilling tune played as the scene opened on the Ferrets' bunker, Sky walking out of it with a yawn and a stretch of her arms. The camera zoomed in and followed her until she stopped and frowned in confusion at Dave who was sitting in lotus position. "Good...morning?" she asked.
"Morning," Dave replied.
"What are you doing?" Sky asked as the shot cut to her confused close-up.
"Meditating," Dave answered as the camera moved to him. "Britney and Dawn got me into it during my season."
The shot cut back to Sky as her eyes widened. "Britney meditates?" she asked. "Did she stop doing it or..."
"I'm pretty sure Scott had something to do with that," Lindsay's voice suddenly replied. The two allies in frame perking up and looking over to the right. The camera cut to the ditz crossing her arms and glaring.
XXX
"I'll admit I'm not a fan of how Scott played when I watched Danger Island," Sky confessed. "But Lindsay seems to really hate him. I understand considering what he did to her, I'm just worried it might affect her judgement."
XXX
"We need to win this next challenge," Lindsay said decively. "Everytime we lose just garuntees Scott more time be Scott. I don't know why his team hasn't voted him off yet."
XXX
"Can I ask you something?" Cameron asked as the static cut to him sitting on his bunk in the Llama treehouse.
"Go for it," Scott replied as the camera cut to him whittling a block of wood.
"What do you do if a girl asks you out?" he asked sheepishly.
Scott smirked. "Depends. Do you like her?"
"Kind of," the bubble boy responded with a blush. "She was really nice to me back in season six and we've gotten really close this season."
"I'm not seein' the issue here," Scott told him.
"What happens if things don't work out?" Cameron asked. "I don't want to lose our friendship."
"You're forgetting that it might work out," Scott answered.
"But-" Cameron tried to say
"Oh just stuff it already!" Scott griped. "Look man, it's obvious you actually want to say yes, you're just looking for me to talk you out of it. Well I'm not gonna."
Cameron glared at Scott, then sighed. "You're right. Well," he blushed. "I guess I should tell her how I feel."
\
"Sadie...?" Cameron asked as the footage cut to him and Sadie outside the craft tent with Amy unnoticed in the background.
"What's up Cam?" Sadie asked with a mixture of hopefulness and fear.
"Can we talk?" he asked sheepishly.
Sadie sighed. "I think I know what that means."
"Wait no its good news!" Cameron corrected hastily.
"Good news..." Sadie replied blankly.
"I like you too," he told her, causing her to gasp and blush. "And I think I would like to be your boyfriend."
Sadie squealed and grabbed her now boyfriend in a hug. "Yes!" she said. "I'll totally go out with you!"
"I know," Cameron chuckled. "I'm responding to you asking me."
"Oh," Sadie blushed. "Right." The two stayed still for a moment. "Who cares? All that matters is we're finally together!" She declared, capturing the boy's lips in a kiss as fluttery music played in the background.
XXX
"That was my first kiss," Cameron said in awe. "It was like pressing meat against your face, but nice!"
XXX
"Well that just won't do!" Amy complained. "I can't have my allies be more loyal to each other than me! I need to get rid of one of them and soon... but how?"
XXX
"I read somewhere that being honest with your partner leads to a more successful relationship," Cameron said. "So in the spirit of honesty, I should probably tell you I'm in an alliance with Scott and Shawn."
"Scott?!" Sadie exclaimed. "Why him?"
"Because he's a strong player and I'm not," the bubble boy explained. "As long as he's in the game I'm safe. Plus with me also joining with Amy..."
"You're safe from the two biggest threats," Sadie finished.
The camera cut to Amy as she smirked at the conversation.
XXX
"Bingo," the cheerleader smirked.
XXX
"Campers!" Chris called over a tall loudspeaker, a drumroll as he paused leading into a more intense tune. "We have a serious problem. None of you have gotten hurt yet." He laughed, and the shot cut to the two Llamas pausing to listen. "Time to remedy that with a challenge." The new couple sagged their shoulders and the scene flashed away.
\
The scene moved to the bank of a river, the fourteen campers standing with their back to the camera in front of the host. "Welcome, everyone," he greeted, the shot slowly zooming in, "to the Painful Total Drama Relay of Agonizing Pain." He was standing between a widescreen television set up on a tall stump next to another tree, and a pair of lawn chairs set up by a crate bearing a pitcher of ice water and a plate of sandwiches.
"I don't think I'll like this challenge," Carly whimpered as the shot moved to the campers.
"You probably won't," Chris commented with a smile as the focus returned to him. "Now, each player takes on a different leg based on a previous Total Drama season," he explained, "starting with..." He pointed a remote at the TV next to him, a DVD player sitting below it in a hollow carved into the stump. The television switched on, and the camera cut in closer to show a tall cliff overlooking a lagoon. Floating in the water were two canoes, one red and one green. "The Cliff Dive and Boat Race!"
A bit of static cut the TV footage to a path in the forest, most of it covered in barbed wire. "That gets you to the Barbed-Wire Mindfield for the next player," Chris continued, the footage quick-panning down the path to a show a bird land on it only to be blasted away by an explosion that left a massive crater in the ground. Another bit of static moved the scene to a massive three-dimensional maze of lasers. "Then," the host continued as the footage slowly panned to the right along the maze, "a quick and painful journey through, the Laser Maze!"
"Next up," Chris said as the next round of static took the focus to two rolling pins suspended high over a small bed of replanted fire flowers and a pool of mud, "is the Log Roll!" The footage immediately transitioned to a shot of two wheelbarrows standing next to a veritable lake of grease. "Then a pass-off to the Greasy Wheelbarrow Race," another round of static took the scene to a tall, steep wooden slope with a pair of black climbing ropes running down it. "And the last lucky player climbs a rope, up the Wall of Shock. Or gets electrocuted in the process, which is what I'm hoping for," he ended with a laugh.
"Not the wheelbarrow," Dave said in rising panic as the shot cut back to the Ferrets. "I'll do any challenge but don't put me in all that grease!" he grabbed Lindsay and shook her frantically, stopping after a moment and leaving her with slightly frizzled hair and a dazed look on her face.
"Yup," Chris said with a smile. "Now, I was gonna have you pass a relay baton. But! I had a better idea."
"Your 'good ideas' are rarely good for us." Shawn said warily as the shot moved to the Llamas. "So what are we gonna have to do?"
His answer came in the form of a large orange backpack being tossed at him and knocking him over, shocking all the members of his team. "You'll be using these heavy packs from season four," Chris said as the camera moved behind the campers again and panned to the right onto Chef holding another of the packs in his arms
"Weren't those things bombs?!" Ezekiel asked as the camera cut back to the Ferrets.
"Yes, but these aren't," Chris smiled as he walked over to the starting line while Chef stood before them between the flags. "First team across the finish line with their pack," Chris continued with his usual smile, "wins."
"Wait a minute," Scott spoke up as the shot moved to the Llamas. "There are six legs, but each team has seven members."
"Llamas can have someone sit out," Chris explained off-screen before the camera cut back to him. "But the Ferrets will have to have two people double up on an obstacle," he continued as he held up a pair of handcuffs. "Now, decide who's on what leg. Cause the race is about to start!"
\
"Alright, so-" Shawn and Eva began at the same time as the focus cut back to the Llamas. The two paused, then looked strangely at one another.
"What are you doing?" They asked each other.
The two paused again. "Umm...," Shawn began hesitantly before Eva could say anything. "Sorry, but I just wanna get everything sorted out."
"Well, that's what I was doing," Eva said. "But if you wanna take the lead then go ahead," she finished with a shrug.
XXX
"I know I'm the strongest person here," Eva confessed somewhat smugly. "So I don't need to draw too much attention to it. Just because I have the idol doesn't mean I can afford to get reckless. Maybe I should try and be friendlier."
XXX
The music turned dark and ominous as the camera cut to the outside of the confessional. Eva walked out with her headphones in her ear and Amy poked her head from behind the building after the iron woman left.
XXX
"I have a plan~" Amy sang in the confessional.
XXX
"Now," Shawn told his team as the scene cut back to them, "we need to figure out who's sitting out."
"Cameron," Eva and Amy immediately said, both pointing at the bubble boy.
"Uh..." Cameron tried to say before Eva spoke up.
"Then it's settled," Eva said. "Sadie can take the minefield." the former sidekick nodded. "I'll take the wall and Amy," she turned to the cheerleader, "you're on the log. Shawn gets the lasers," she continued as the shot moved to the survivalist's smirk, "Carly can take the cliff, leaving Scott with the wheelbarrow," she finished as the camera panned to the two, neither looking enthused. "Everybody got it?" Eva asked as the shot cut backward to show the full team.
The rest of the team muttered their general agreement.
"Then let's go." Eva said with an attempt at a smile, waving for her team to follow as she ran off to the left.
\
The camera panned away from them to the left to show the Ferrets still deciding. "Okay everyone" Sky said to her team. "Here's the plan. Dave and Dakota can start us off with a cliff," she patted the two on the back. "Then Gwen can handle the mines," she continued, walking over to the goth.
"Um," the goth raised an eyebrow. "Why am I running through the mines?"
"I'm basing this on everyone's strengths," Sky replied. "You and Lindsay are kinda on the wayside and it's messed up to have her do the mines."
"Fair point," Gwen conceded.
Sky nodded, then turned to Harold. "I'll take the lasers and Harold can keep his balance on the logs," she told him, earning a nod. "Lindsay runs the wheelbarrow, leaving Zeke on the wall."
"Can you handle it?" Lindsay asked.
The shot cut to Ezekiel. "Yep!" he nodded.
"Okay teams!" Chris announced over the loudspeaker, causing Ezekiel and Lindsay to look up. "Take your places!"
"Alright," Lindsay said brightly as Sky led her team to the right, "if we win this then the person going home won't be from our team!"
\
"Rrready?" Chris asked, him and Chef now sitting in the lawn chairs by the television. A deep note began a slow but intense challenge tune as the camera panned over to the starting line. Dave, Dakota, and Carly were standing near the cliff's edge, the pantophobe gulping and shivering nervously while the heiress and germaphobe had their hands handcuffed together. "Set!" Chris called out next before blowing his airhorn.
Dakota quickly started running ahead. "Wwwwhoa, hey!" Dave said as he was pulled to the left with her. "Slow down!"
Carly watched them blankly for a second and gulped before sighing. "C'mon," she told herself, walking slowly and sagging slightly under the weight of the pack. "I need to," she paused for a bit and took a couple of deep breaths, "move!"
A few more deep, dramatic notes played as she stopped at the cliff's edge. "Okay," she said to herself. "I can do this.."
\
The footage flashed ahead to the middle of the cliff, and the sound of Carly's screams of terror preceded her appearance from the top. She quickly fell out of frame.
She landed in the water, and the camera cut under the surface to show her struggling to swim upward.
XXX
"Great," Carly griped in the confessional. "Now I'm afraid of swimming."
XXX
The static took the scene to the canoes as Dave and Dakota hauled themselves into it. "Piece of cake," Dakota smiled, Dave panting from the weight on his back as the challenge music ramped up again.
The camera panned to the left as Carly hauled herself into her canoe. "Whew, I'm alive!" the pantophobe cheered. She grabbed the oar and paddled off. "Good luck guys!" she called out to the two Ferrets as she passed them
"Come on!" Dave said, the camera staying on him and the heiress. "We need to hurry!"
The shot cut to Dakota's close-up as she nodded, then started paddling with her oar. Despite moving slightly fast, it was clear she wasn't going to catch up to Carly.
The footage cut ahead to Carly's canoe hittng the beach, the girl herself hopping out and handing her heavy pack to Sadie.
"Eeeee!" the girl squealed, startling Carly. Now wearing her gear, she ran off to the right while Gwen watched.
A cut back to the Ferrets showed them still in the water, their eyes wide. "Crap they're in the lead!" Dave said before moving to the front of the canoe, grabbing the oar from Dakota, and paddling as quickly as he could.
The camera moved in front to show him rocketing toward the beach, then moved back to the side as they hit the beach and flew out of the canoe. The camera followed them through the air a few more feet before they hit the ground with a bellyflop and grunted in pain. "Your turn" Dave groaned
\
The shot cut to Sadie crawling under the wire on her belly. She made it to the end of the wire and got up, took a few steps, and was blasted off-screen by an explosion.
The camera pulled back to show her flying through the air. She yelled as she flew out of frame and the camera panned down and to the left to Gwen pausing just before the minefield.
The singed former sidekick gulped and narrowed her eyes. "Okay Sadie," she told herself in a calm tone. "You totally got this." The footage flashed ahead to her running down the forrest path and screaming, several explosions going off behind her
\
The scene moved to Chris and Chef, watching the live feed of the challenge and laughing. "Man that was even better than I thought it would be!" the host said.
"Yeah, but isn't a little wierd the producers greenlit such strong explosions?" Chef asked.
"Greenlit?" Chris asked. "It was their idea!"
\
"C'mon Sadie!" Shawn shouted, the shot quickly cutting to him, and Sky at the end of the zipline. "We gotta stay in the lead!"
"I'm sorry" Sadie gasped in exhaustion as the camera cut to her trudging along. "I just can't run anymore" she added just before she stepped on another mine and blown off-screen. "Oof!" she cried as she landed right in front of Shawn to his shock.
"Your turn..." she groaned, not making a move to take off her heavy pack.
XXX
"I could've tried to stay out of the challenge," Sadie complained. "That would've been the smart thing to do."
XXX
"Holy crap! Are you okay?" Shawn asked with a worried expression as he leaned over.
"It's just pain..." Sadie groaned again.
"There!" came the satisfied voice of Gwen, the camera panning back to the left to show her running with her team's pack. "Your turn Sky," she told the gymnast, the camera cutting to in front of her as she grinned.
"You got it..." Sky said, a delighted smile forming on her face as she took off.
\
A pause sign appeared over the codependant's face as the footage stopped, and the camera cut to the side to show Chris with his remote still in his hand. "And the Ferrets take the lead!" he said, looking from the widescreen TV to the camera as the capstone theme began to play. "Is Sadie okay? Will Shawn regain the lead she blew? Find out when we return, to Total! Drama! Redemption!"
\
(Commercial Break)
\
The episode resumed with a long-distance shot of the island as a spy-movie-esque theme began to play, the scene soon cutting back to the start of the third leg to show Sky easily making her way through the maze of lasers.
"Perfect," she smiled to herself. "This is easier than I thought"
The sound of Shawn's pained screams caught her attention, and she and the camera looked back to show the survivalist being electctocuted by lasers.
He dropped to the ground and noticed Sky widened her lead. "Aw crud."
"You should be more careful Shawn!" Sky taunted... only for a new laser to appear where her foot was and shock her as well.
The shot cut outward to show the entire maze of lasers, electricity and shouts of pain coming from within them. "That's odd," Chris said, the camera pulling back and away from the live feed to show Chris and Chef still lounging by the television. "The lasers were only supposed to emit painfully loud noises when a camper broke one."
Chef shrugged helplessly.
\
"Come on, Sky!" Harold urged as the shot cut to him and Amy waiting at the other end of the maze.
"What is taking him so long?" Amy added impatiently as the sounds got louder.
The survivalist ran out with a groan, dragging a tattered heavy pack. He skidded to a stop in front of Amy and Harold, the latter looking concerned. "I did it..."
"Whatever," Amy said in irritation as the shot cut to her close-up, "just give me the stupid pack."
XXX
"Don't give me that look," Amy complained. "If I stayed to talk to that freak we'd fall behind again!"
XXX
The static took the scene to the start of the log roll, tense challenge music beginning once more as Amy looked determinedly at the task that lay before her. She narrowed her eyes as the camera cut to Sky handing her pack off to Harold.
"Cheerleading conditioning don't fail me now," she told herself as she ran across the spinning log. A sudden burst of fire from the flowers below caused her to scream and fall into the mud below.
"CHRIIIIIIIIIIS!" she shrieked
\
The camera cut to Harold easily dodging all of the jets of fire, eventually passing by the spot where Amy fell.
"Ooh, and Amy blows the Llamas' lead!" Chris announced over the camp loudspeaker. The cheerleader had gotten up and was running through the mud, though it's thickness slowed her down considerably. "Better hurry up if you wanna win!"
XXX
"I hate him," Amy seethed. "So much."
XXX
A light chanting began as the scene moved back to Chris and Chef. "And with only two legs left," the host told the camera, "the Ferrets are running away with this game!" A frustrated groan came from the nearby television, prompting the two men to look over and chuckle. "Speaking of..." Chris said as the camera panned over to the widescreen and zoom-cut to the footage it was showing.
"I hate this stupid show!" Amy cried, the shot moving from a close-up of her foot wedged deep in the lake of mud. The camera pulled back as she growled and plopped her feet out of her boots and continued on, this time running much faster.
A sharp gasp drew the camera's attention to the right to show Harold running swiftly along the log.
"C'mon, Henry, you can do it!" Lindsay called out encouragingly as the shot cut to her and Scott.
Scott looked warily from his opponent back to Amy. "Hurry it up Princess!"
"Stop calling me that!" Amy replied snippily from off-screen.
"Why don't you get over here and make me!" Scott shot back.
Lindsay glared at him, but her eyes widened in surprise when Harold showed up and dropped the pack into the wheelbarrow.
"Yay!" Lindsay called out as she drove the wheelbarrow off-screen.
"And the Ferrets are still in the lead!" Chris announced.
It was then that Amy finally appeared, her legs thoroughly coated in mud. "Here," she spat, "take the stupid thing."
"Gladly," Scott griped.
XXX
"Now I have to double time it to take the lead back," Scott complained. "The sooner I make her see that she needs me to stay in the game the better."
XXX
The static cut to Scott narrowing his eyes as he ran along the course. He soon passed Lindsay, and tripped her so that she would fall and he could take the lead.
"Are you kidding me?!" Lindsay growled as she stood back up. She tripped and fell again. And while she got back up quickly, it put her even further behind the dirt farmer.
The music turned tense as the camera quick-panned back to the right, showing Scott running right past the edge of the leg and into a nearby rock where Eva was standing. He was finally stopped by said rock and the boar was launched out of the wheelbarrow and into a shocked Eva before he had time to react.
"That was cutting it close," he said to himself.
XXX
"Bet they won't accuse me of team killing now," Scott said, clearly impressed with himself. "Now I can focus on which of the losers to get rid of next."
XXX
The scene moved to Ezekiel, watching nervously as the remaining six members of the Llamas ran past her. "Faster Lindsay!" he called out to his own teammate.
The footage immediately skipped ahead to her reaching Ezekiel, the homeschooler picking the heavy pack up out of the wheelbarrow and running off.
"I gotta hurry eh!" He said, causing Lindsay to bite her lip in worry.
\
A flash took the scene to the final leg, Eva currently about halfway up the wall while wearing the pack. her teammates were gathered off to the side, watching excitedly with each step she climbed.
"You got this!" Shawn cheered.
"Go Eva!" Carly chimed in, pumping a fist in the air.
The shot cut in closer to Eva as she narrowed her eyes, trying to find her next foothold only to get electrocuted by the wire. She groaned and fell to the bottom of the wall, then coughed up a bit of soot.
"Get back up before we lose!" Amy told her from off-screen.
The music's tension quickly ramped up as the shot moved to Sadie and Cameron, the bubble boy looking to the left and noticing something that made his eyes go wide. "Look out!" he turned and called out to his teammate. "Zeke's on the way!"
Sadie gasped in shock before the camera panned back to Eva.
Eva restarted her climb, her eyes locked on the top of the wall. The shot moved back to ground-level as Ezekiel ran past the loitering Llamas.
The camera pulled back as he grabbed the rope on the left half of the wall and started climbing. "Sorry eh," he said apologetically, the shot cutting in for a close-up as he rapidly started climbing, "but I can't let my team lose."
Eva smirked as the camera panned up to her. "Good luck with that!" she taunted. The camera zoomed out again to show both campers nearing the top of the wall with Eva in a slight lead... until she got electrocuted again. While not enough to make her let go of the rope, it was enough for her opponent to catch up. Just as the two were neck-and-neck, the shot cut to a close-up of the top of the wall from the other side as Ezekiel hauled himself up onto it. He straddled the top for just a second, then grabbed a nearby ladder and slid down as Eva poked her head over the wall.
"Bad luck Eva," Chris said as the shot cut to him and Chef standing on the far side of the wall with the ladder in view. Ezekiel landed on the ground with a smile on his face, and set the Ferrets' heavy pack on the ground. "But Zeke takes the finish. The Ferrets of Failure win!"
"I did it eh!" Ezekiel cheered, his teammates rushing over to join him in celebration as the music turned victorious.

The scene flashed to the Llamas' treefort, a dull melody playing as five members trudged towards it.
"Well that bit," Scott complained. "At least we have a couple of targets to vote off tonight," he said while eyeing the girls.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Amy asked in offence.
"Well I know I ain't the one who blew our team's lead," he responded. "I'm willin' to bet one of you two's getting the boot," he pointed to Eva and Amy.
He climbed to the ladder to get to the canopy, and the others soon followed him leaving only Eva and Amy. Just as the iron woman was going to climb, the cheerleader grabbed her arm.
"What if I told you I had a way to save both of us..." she said deviously as the music turned ominous.
\
"Hey Carly," Shawn said cheerfully as the scene cut to the pantophobe walking through the woods. The survivalist dropped down from the treetops, earning a squeal and a blush. "Got a sec?"
"Y-yeah," she agreed, putting a hand to her chest.
"It's about the vote tonight..."

The deep, tense opening of the elimination theme began to play as the footage skipped ahead to a shot of the entire island, the moon high overhead once more and the fires of the ceremony glowing over the water from the left-side peninsula.
"Hey, why so glum?" Chris asked, the scene moving to the campfire pit to show all seven members of the Llamas of Loserdom already assembled. "Welcome back Llamas. Now," he said, a few deep notes being struck as the camera panned over to him. "which of you is tonight's biggest loser?" Chef walked over from the right as he spoke, carrying the tray of marshmallows.

"With Eva gone, Amy loses all of the people willing to work with her," Scott smirked. "More importantly I lose one of the biggest threats to my victory."
XXX
"I feel sorry for Eva," Cameron said. "But if I want Scott to keep me as an ally she's gotta go.
XXX
"Oh, I can't wait to see the look on that dirt farmer's face," Amy smirked.
XXX
"Scott," Chris called out from off-camera as the music trilled ominously, the shot focused on the campers sitting on the left as the dirt farmer caught his marshmallow. "Amy," next was the cheerleader sitting in the front row, "Shawn and Carly. You're safe from elimination." The two sitting next to Scott in the back row caught their marshmallows with wide smiles, leaving Sadie – in the front row with Amy, her hands on her knees – to stiffen anxiously.
The camera panned over to the final three campers sitting along the front row. "The next marshmallow goes to...Cameron," Chris said, the marshmallow sailing through the air into the hands of it's relieved recipient while the remaining two widened their eyes.
"And tonight's loser is...," Chris said as the music picked up. The shot cut to a close-up of Sadie, then to one of Eva.
Chris picked up the final marshmallow and smirked. "Eva," he announced, tossing the treat at Sadie.
The iron woman gasped, then sighed. "Not when I wanted to do this," she said as the music continued to get more intense. "But I'm not going home tonight," she pulled the Invincibility statue out of her pocket and gave it to Chris.
Everyone present except for Amy gasped. " You had the idol this whole time?!" Scott shouted.
"Not the whole time," Eva shrugged.
"And don't act like you didn't know," Amy told him.
"Wait what?" Scott asked.
"It was a great plan," she continued. "Get rid of the idol and break up the nerd couple in one go. I'm impressed."
"No!" Scott shouted. "I didn't!"
"How are we supposed to believe you with your track record?" Amy smirked.
"Hey!" Chris's voice called out. "I've got a show to run here, remember? Anyway, since Eva's got the idol, tonight's loser is actually Sadie."
"But. But." The girl protested as Chef's arm grabbed her and started dragging her away.
\
The somber elimination theme started as the scene skipped ahead to show Sadie loaded into the Boot of Shame. She sighed.
"Sadie!" Cameron called out to her. "I'm so sorry! I never should've trusted Scott!"
"Don't worry about it!" Sadie called back. "You can win this Cam! I know it! "I'll miss you though!"
"Aaand we're out of time," Chris interrupted with an impish smile, the music scratching to a halt as he pressed the button on his remote, kicking Sadie into the night.
"Well," Chris said as the capstone theme began to play, "that's another contestant off my island. Is this the end of Scott's goodwill? Only time will tell. On Total! Drama! Redemption!"

(Bonus Clip)
The clip opened with Sadie's orb flying on-screen with her screaming within. It hit the ground and rolled for a bit, then a hole opened in the side and she climbed out.
A squealing caught her and the camera's attention and the scene cut to Katie standing by the pool with a smile on her face. "I'm sorry you lost," she said. "But I'm so glad we're back together!"
Sadie squealed and ran over to her best friend, then Katie joined in the squealing, and the camera cut to a view of the entire Earth with their squeals of joy still audible.
Author's Note Post Script: Another camper gone. It's about time to move away from the Scott and Amy trying to sabotage each other plot and Saide's elimination is a big step in that direction. But you have to admit, she had a damn good plan. Let Eva get the most votes so she could use the idol and Sadie goes home. Amy blames Scott for the plan, essentially destroying his alliance with Cameron. Will Shawn stick with the dirt farmer? Will Cameron switch his allegiance to Amy? There's only one elimination left before the merge and the game will only heat up from here.
No a lot of progress in other plots, though this was more of a Scott and Amy centric episode anyway.
OC Fun Fact #5: Angel changed quite a bit over the course of her development. So to begin with, she was originally from a season full of supernatural stuff, Actually she was a fairy and she was way more mischievous and her kind nature was a lie. Over time, she went from fairy to human, and her outward persona became her true self. Hey not all the stories are interesting.
And as always I'm sure I'm forgetting to mention something.
I hope you all enjoyed the episode, or some part of it.
And I'd also like to remind you guys that a TVTropes page for this series does exist and needs you guys adding to it.
With that I'm signing off
