This was not planned. In short: where did this idea come from? From me starting to watch Sailor Moon again after seeing Crystal. And no, I have no idea whether or not to continue this, initially the thought was 'wow, there are few male characters on Sailor Moon' and why not write someone who is more friendly with the Outers, so that the whole thing is a bit more focused on them? Because let's face it, everyone has their eyes on Usagi and her crew, but no one ever explores the other ladies. So why not give it a try?

Let's see if you like this or not.

The sun descended below the skyline, casting a golden light on Juban Park in Tokyo. The light breeze rustled the leaves, carrying the sweet melody of a violin through the air. Her teal-coloured hair and blue eyes blended perfectly with the natural, tranquil environment. It was as if she was one with her music as a sense of serenity washed over her. Michiru Kaioh stood beneath a cherry blossom tree, her eyes closed as she played, lost in the music. Her fingers moved gracefully along the strings.

A small crowd had gathered, some people stopping by to listen to her performance, clearly fascinated by the girl's talent. They stood in quiet admiration, drawn by the beauty of the music and the skill of the young musician.

Michiru's expression softened. 'There's something magical about playing here.' she thought as the sound of her violin harmonised with the rustling leaves and distant laughter of children. 'Playing here, the reverberations of the music fading the air… It feels like the world fades away, leaving only its melody.' She thought, as she cast a gaze to the people.

As she finished her piece, she opened her eyes and was welcomed by an applause from the crowd. Michiru's lips curled up in a smile of gratitude. Turning around she noticed a figure standing at the edge of the clearing, watching her performance. His features stood out, he was a tall, lean young man; he carried long, wavy, shaggy black hair tied back in a high ponytail with a red hair tie. He had sharp, angular facial features that were framed by a few loose strands of hair and his bronze eyes glinted with a serious intensity. He wore a slightly oversized charcoal jacket, with a slate shirt and his hands were tucked into its pockets, giving him an aloof and distant air. He looked serious and reserved, but curious at the same time.

'Hm? Who is that?' Michiru wondered, lowering her violin. 'I've never seen him around here before.'

As the crowd dispersed, Michiru placed her violin in its case and walked over the stranger with a charming smile on her face.

'He looks like he's spacing out, is this his first time witnessing classical music?' Michiru wondered as she noticed his demeanour, but she ultimately took the initiative to start a conversation. "I take it you enjoyed my performance?"

The stranger snapped out of his momentarily trance to glance down at the teal-haired beauty. "That was… beautiful." he said, his voice low and even, though it carried a hint of coldness.

"Thank you." Michiru replied, studying his disposition. "I'm Michiru Kaioh. I don't believe we've met before."

He shook his head in response. "Kura Hayama." he introduced himself. "I don't come here often."

'There's something different about him. From the look of him, he doesn't seem to recognise me, does he?' Michiru thought, noting his reserved demeanour. 'He's not just another passerby, I can tell there's more to him than meets eyes.'

"A pleasure to meet you, Hayama." Michiru said politely.

"Hm. Just Kura is fine." Kura conceded plainly with a short shrug.

"Kura it is. Please feel free to calm me Michiru then." Michiru let out a giggle at Kura's directness. "You seemed interested. Do you play?" she asked, gesturing to her violin's case.

"No, I don't. But I appreciate the skill it takes." He indirectly complimented her. "Playing the violin looks like a tough to get the hang of."

"Thank you. It can be complicated, but with enough dedication anyone can learn." Michiru nodded appreciating the indirect compliment. "Music is a language that speaks to the soul after all. It lets emotions flow through."

Kura remained silent for a moment, his eyes reflecting a depth of thought. "Yeah. Emotions can be... complicated." he said finally. "Sometimes it's better to keep them in check."

"Perhaps. But keeping emotions in check isn't always advisable. Emotions can be both a blessing and a curse, a source of both strength and vulnerability. Music can help with that." Michiru offered in a gentle tone. "It can be a release, a way to heal."

His expression softened slightly, but the coldness remained. "Maybe." he said, his voice distant. "Or maybe it's just another way to remind us of what we've lost." He sighed, then quickly added. "Sorry, that was...uh uncalled for."

Michiru shook her head slowly. "No need to apologize. As I said before, it's OK to express our emotions once in a while." she said, deciding to continue the conversation without going into the touchy subjects. "I'm surprised to see someone new in the park, especially those who seem to appreciate classical music. You though, you don't strike me as the usual person to enjoy it."

Kura raised an eyebrow at her observation. "Really?"

She smiled slightly with a playful glint in her eyes. "Indeed. A guy like you with that serious expression and intense presence, seems more likely to prefer more aggressive music. Rock, metal, maybe even electronic."

"Do I really look that much like a metalhead?" He asked in confusion.

Michiru chuckled softly. "Well, maybe not a full-fledged metalhead, but you certainly have a presence that suggests you'd enjoy something with a bit more... edge. Definitely the rebellious vibe." She teased.

Kura's lips twitched again, this time forming a brief, almost reluctant smile. "I'm actually into harder music. Rock, metal... they have their own appeal. But I don't mind listening to other types either. Classical music has its place for sure."

Michiru's smile widened, pleased by his openness. "It's nice to know you have diverse tastes. There's more to music than just punk, rock or metal. The world of classical music is vast and beautiful, which is why I'm studying to become a professional violinist, actually."

Kura was taken aback by her talkativeness when it came to music. "I guess that's true…" His eyes moved down, noticing her uniform. "A private school student?"

"You've got a sharp eye." Michiru nodded with small smirk on her lips. "Yes. I'm a first-year student at Mugen Academy."

At her mention of Mugen Academy raised his interest. "Mugen Academy? I've heard it's quite the big deal around here." He noted with a reflective gaze.

"It is." Michiru replied with a nod. "Mugen Academy is the most prestigious school in this whole prefecture. It's quite renowned. The competition is tough and its academics are rigorous, so it certainly lives up to its name. But to be perfectly honest, I prefer to keep my school agenda balanced with my objectives. Music is my passion, and I want to make a career out of it."

Kura nodded thoughtfully. "Yeah, it's good to have a passion. Something to strive for."

"Yes, it is." she agreed, feeling a sense of camaraderie with him despite his reserved nature. "And you? Do you attend Mugen Academy as well? Or planning to perhaps?"

Kura's expression returned neutral, yet secretive at the same time. "No. Can't exactly afford it. The financial side isn't looking good for me."

'Not looking good?' Michiru thought with a hint of concern but nodded, knowing that not everyone could provide such a privilege, so she decided not to push. "I see. Money isn't easy to come by for everyone."

There was a pause and Michiru took a moment to study him. Despite his approximately cold demeanour, there was something about him that intrigued her, something that suggested a depth of experience and emotion. She wanted to learn more about him, to understand the complexities behind his guarded facade. She couldn't help but think about his previous statement and his 'financial situation not looking good for him' as he put it, but she decided not to rub it in. She knew it was probably personal.

As they made their way through the park, Michiru decided to steer the conversation to learn more about him. "So, where are you from, Kura? You mentioned you're new here and you don't seem to have many Japanese traits, but your name says otherwise."

Kura glanced at her thoughtfully. "I'm half Japanese, from my mother's side. I was born here but spent a lot of time abroad. Now I'm finishing up my last years at Juban High School."

'He's certainly a man of few words.' she mused, noting his succinct answer. 'But every bit of information is a piece of the puzzle.'

Out of curiosity, Michiru stole a few glances at his physique, noting his fit form under the baggy clothes. "Do you practice any sports?" she asked, genuinely curious.

Kura blinked. "What gave you that idea?"

"Well, let's just say it's quite apparent that you have an athletic build." Michiru explained with an amused, playful tone. "And I doubt it's just casual gym sessions."

"I suppose I practice from time to time." He shrugged.

"You're too modest." Michiru commented. "I can tell you do more than just 'practice from time to time', am I right?"

"Well I'm kind of into martial arts." Kura mentioned flatly. "But then again, I'm a novice so I don't do that very much."

"Martial arts you say?" Michiru mused with a hand on her chin. "How long have you been training if you don't mind me asking."

"Just a few years." Kura answered. "Judo and Aikido. They teach you how to use an opponent's strength against them, which I find… practical."

"Interesting choices." Michiru hummed softly. "Judo and Aikido are both disciplines that require not only physical strength but also strategic thinking. I can see how your physique be an advantage in those martial arts."

For a few moments, Kura showed genuine surprise at Michiru's knowledge. "Looks like you know a lot about this stuff. Do you practice too?" He asked.

"Oh dear, no I don't." Michiru shook her head at his question. "I don't personally practice martial arts. But I have acquaintances who do. I'm more into the artistic side of thigs, shall we say."

"You know someone who does?" Kura asked.

"Yes, I know individuals who engage in martial arts. One of them is… more of a close friend, you could say." Michiru smiled fondly. "My… partner does. In fact, she's quite skilled in martial arts."

"Someone important to you?" Kura could sense the fondness in Michiru's voice.

"Indeed, Haruka is someone very special to me." Michiru explained with a tender expression on her features. "We're… a partnership in every sense of the world. She's the one who always keeps things in check for me, while I often find myself looking out for her."

Kura nodded, absorbing this new information. "Sounds like a remarkable person."

"She is." Michiru said warmly. "We balance each other out. She's strong, determined and protective. Sometimes I think she takes on too much responsibility, but that's Haruka for you. Always looking out for others."

Kura's gaze softened slightly. "It's good to have someone like that in your life. Someone who has your back."

"Yes, it is." Michiru agreed, her eyes reflecting the deep bond she shared with Haruka. "And what about you, Kura? Do you have anyone you're close to?"

Kura's expression darkened momentarily, but he regained his focus. "Everyone does."

As they walked towards the exit, Michiru let out a sigh as the cool air gentle caressed her head. She observed Kura's demeanour, sensing a subtle shift in his mood. She turned to face him with a steady, curious look.

"Is something bothering you, Kura? You seem a bit… distant all of a sudden." Michiru asked with a hint of concern.

"I'm fine. Just zoning out, it's no big deal." Kura shook his head. "I should probably get going now."

Michiru arched a brow slightly at his quick change. Despite her curiosity, she decided to respect his decision not to elaborate and simply nodded in understanding.

"I see. I'm meeting Haruka in a few minutes." Michiru mentioned. "And Kura." She called out with a genuine smile.

Kura paused his strides and turned his head over. "What is it?"

Michiru's expression softened. "If something is bothering you, please do not hesitate to share. Sometimes talking about things helps to lighten the burden." She offered gently.

Kura's expression remained the same, but there was a hint of recognition in his eyes. He nodded at her gentle offer. "I'll think about it." Kura turned around and made a small wave with his hand. "See you later."

Michiru smiled in appreciation. "Take care of yourself, Kura. Until next time." She waved back.

She glanced at her own watch and realized she had to meet Haruka in a few minutes right in front of the park. As Kura disappeared down the pavement, Michiru spotted Haruka approaching from the opposite direction.

Haruka Tenoh cut a striking figure with her tall, lean build and short, tousled blonde hair. Dressed in a white shirt with a loose tie and a pair of green and black pinstriped pants, she exuded a confident, tomboyish charm. Her sapphire blue eyes were able to caught Kura's distant figure for a second, which caused her to raise a brow for a second. As she reached Michiru, her gaze softened as she looked at her.

"Hey." Haruka greeted in a casual yet warm tone. Michiru couldn't help but smile back.

"Hey Haruka." Michiru replied warmly. "Sorry if I didn't call immediately."

Haruka shook her head. "No worries. I just got here." She glanced over the direction Kura went, before glancing at Michiru questioningly. "Who was that guy you were talking to?"

"Oh, he's someone I just met." Michiru said, glancing in the direction Kura had gone. "His name is Kura. He saw me playing the violin earlier and we ended up chatting for a bit. He seems interesting."

Haruka raised an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. It was rare for Michiru to catch Michiru's attention, especially when it came to strangers. "Interesting how?"

"I'm not sure, he has this strange aura around him." Michiru replied pensively, placing a finger on her cheek. "Maybe a little bit rough around the edges, but there's certainly a depth to him."

As they spoke, Haruka's gaze drifted to where Kura had disappeared. She frowned slightly. "Hm. Did he bother you?"

Michiru shook her head. "No, he was polite enough. He didn't do anything shady."

"Hmph. He better." Haruka commented, crossing her arms.

Michiru couldn't help but giggle at Haruka's reaction. "What's the matter Haruka? Don't tell me you're going to make a big deal about me talking with Kura." She teased.

Haruka rolled her eyes but allowed a smirk on her lips, as her eyes narrowed playfully. "Depends. Should I be worried?"

Michiru laughed softly, shaking her head. "I don't think so." She teased warmly. "He's just someone who prefers to keep to himself. He won't be trying anything."

"Good answer." Trusting her word, Haruka's smirk turned into a genuine smile. "So, how was your day, Michiru?"

"It was nice. I had a good practice session and meeting Kura was a bit of an unexpected surprise." Michiru replied. "How about you? How's your training going? I know you've been pushing yourself hard lately."

Haruka sighed, her shoulders relaxing slightly. "It's going well, but it's tough. There's always more to learn, more to improve. But I'm handling it just fine."

Michiru nodded. "I know you will. You always do. Just remember to take care of yourself too, okay?"

Haruka smiled back warmly. "I will, Michiru. Don't worry about me. How about you? How's the music coming along?"

"It's going great." Michiru replied, her eyes lighting up. "I've been working on a new piece. It's challenging, but I think I will be able to complete it."

"I'm sure it's beautiful…" Haruka said softly, reaching out to gently squeeze Michiru's shoulder. "Just like you."

Michiru blushed slightly, a warm feeling spreading through her chest. "Thank you, Haruka."

They walked through the park, their steps in sync, as the evening breeze gently rustled the leaves around them. The serenity of the moment contrasted with the underlying tension of their ongoing mission. Michiru looked at Haruka, who seemed momentarily lost in thought.

"Haruka." Michiru began, breaking the silence. "I've been thinking about our mission."

Haruka glanced at her, turning more serious. "What about it?"

"I can't shake the feeling that we're missing something important." Michiru said thoughtfully. "And these Daimon attacks... they seem to be getting more frequent. It's almost as if someone is orchestrating all of this, I wonder where they could have come from."

Haruka nodded, her gaze hardening. "I've noticed that too. Whoever is behind this knows exactly what they're doing. They're after something specific."

"Indeed." Michiru sighed, feeling the weight of their mission pressing down on her. "We need to stay vigilant. We can't afford to let our guard down."

As they continued walking, the park grew quieter, the only sounds being the rustling of leaves and the distant chirping of crickets. Michiru glanced up at the sky, the first stars beginning to twinkle above them.

"Say. Do you think we'll ever have a normal life again?" Michiru asked jokingly. "Ever since we recovered our memories, I feel as if the fate of the world is on our shoulders. It's kind of ironic, isn't it?"

"I get what you mean." Haruka looked at her, a gentle smile on her lips. "Maybe someday, or maybe not. But for now, this is our path. And as long as we're together, I don't mind."

The duo found a bench near the park's entrance and sat down, enjoying the evening air against their skin.

"You're right. Though I miss the days when our biggest worry was school exams." Michiru mused, a wistful smile on her face. "Things were so much simpler then."

Haruka chuckled softly. "True, but we've grown so much since then. We've discovered who we really are and what we're capable of. I wouldn't trade that for anything."

They sat in silence for a few moments, drawing strength from each other's presence. Michiru's thoughts drifted back to Kura, his enigmatic presence lingering in her mind.

"Haruka." Michiru said quietly, "…do you ever wonder if there are others out there like us? People who are fighting their own battles in the shadows?"

Haruka's eyes softened as she looked at Michiru. "I'm sure there are. The world's a big place and there's bound to be others who are trying to make a difference in their own way."

As they sat there, the darkening sky continued to unfold around them. They knew that the path ahead would be fraught with danger and uncertainty, but they also knew that they had each other. And that was enough to give them the strength to keep moving forward.

In the distance, the sounds of the city began to fade as the park grew quieter. The gentle rustling of leaves in the breeze and the occasional chirping of crickets provided a soothing backdrop to their thoughts.

Haruka glanced at her watch and sighed. "It's getting late. We should probably head back."

Michiru nodded standing up. "Yeah, we have long days ahead of us."

As they made their way out of the park, Michiru couldn't shake the feeling that their lives were about to change in ways they couldn't yet imagine.

Just before they reached the street, Haruka stopped and turned to Michiru. "Hey, Michiru?"

Michiru looked at up at her. "Yes?"

Haruka's eyes softened and she took a deep breath. "No matter what happens, I want you to know that I'll always be here for you. We're in this together and nothing will ever change that. Alright?"

Michiru felt a lump form in her throat as she smiled at Haruka. "I know, Haruka. And I feel the same way. We're partners, in every sense of the word."

Closing her eyes, Haruka smiled back. "Always."

As he walked out of the bus, Kura let out a sigh as he continued making his way to his place, his hands buried in the pockets of his jacket while contemplating his last encounter.

'Michiru Kaioh, huh? She's got some serious violin skills for a first-year. She must've been practicing from a very young age. Hell it's like she's almost a pro and she's not even 16.' he thought, shaking his head slightly in admiration.

His eyes travelled around, even though the day was coming to an end, Tokyo still bustled with life, but he felt detached as if he were merely passing through. The evening crowd thinning as he approached the less glamorous part of the city. The building was old and slightly run-down, but it was affordable and conveniently located close to the bus stop. He climbed the narrow staircase, the dim lighting emphasising the building's decaying exterior.

Reaching his door, Kura unlocked it and stepped inside. The apartment was a one-room space on the verge of decency, with minimal furniture, a small side kitchenette area and a tiny bathroom on the right. It was tidy but lacked any personal touches, reflecting his transient lifestyle. He tossed his jacket onto a nearby chair and sank onto the couch. The quiet solitude of his apartment was a stark contrast to the vibrant energy outside, offering a brief respite.

'Months ago, I sensed something strange going on here.' He mused, frowning as he recalled the odd occurrences. 'I could swear I saw the sky darkening in a strange way and it definitely wasn't normal. There's something happening in this city. And that Michiru girl... there's something about her too.'

Kura leaned back, closing his eyes for a moment. His mind wandered back to the strange happenings he had witnessed. He remembered the unsettling feeling in the pit of his stomach when the sky had darkened inexplicably, casting an unnatural shadow over the city. 'It's as if the city itself is holding its breath.'

As he lay there, staring at the ceiling, his phone rang, breaking the silence. He pulled it out of his pocket, glancing at the caller ID. It was Motoki Furuhata, one of his classmates. Kura sighed and answered the call.

"Hey Kura! How's it going?" Motoki's cheerful voice rang through the phone, a stark contrast to Kura's mood.

Kura rolled his eyes. "What do you want, Motoki?" he replied bluntly.

Motoki chuckled, almost expecting this response from him. "Always straight to the point, huh? Anyway, I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this weekend. Reika will be there too."

Kura sat up, rubbing his forehead. "So you want me to play cupid between the two of you? Not interested."

Motoki laughed, though Kura could hear the flustered undertone. "Come on, it's not just that! Plus, you know how it is, Reika and I have… well, got closer lately, so I wanted to ask her out but I wanted you there too."

"Then why not ask tomorrow at school?" Kura questioned. "Why do I need to be there?"

There was a brief pause on the other end, and Kura could hear Motoki's nervousness. "Well, it's kind of embarrassing to bring it up directly in front of Reika, you know? So you being there would help greatly. Besides, there's actually more to it aside from me wanting to be with Reika."

"Fine then, what is it?" Kura asked.

There was a brief pause before Motoki replied. "It's just... I think she's having a tough time lately, you know with the part-time job, her upcoming exams and everything, so I thought hanging out might cheer her up. And having you there would really help."

Kura sighed, considering it for a moment. Despite his aloofness, he considered Motoki a bit more than an acquaintance and Reika was also someone he could tolerate. They had a way of pulling him out of his shell, even if he wouldn't admit it directly. Even though he wasn't exactly like them personality-wise, Kura knew they were both good people.

"Alright, I'll be there. But you two owe me one." Kura accepted with a sigh.

"Great! Thanks Kura. It means a lot." Motoki said, clearly relieved. "So, how's everything going with you? You seem to have been keeping to yourself even more lately."

Kura leaned back against the couch, feeling a bit more at ease. "Just the usual. School, keeping an eye on things around here. Nothing out of the ordinary."

Motoki's voice softened. "Well, if you ever need to talk or anything, you know we're here for you, right? Even if you don't always show it, we consider you a friend." He said with genuine concern.

'A friend huh? I mean, I guess?' Kura thought as that word echoed through his mind. "Yeah. Thanks Tomoki. See you later."

"You can bet on it. See you tomorrow, Kura." Motoki replied before hanging up.

Kura tossed his phone onto the couch beside him and leaned back, closing his eyes for a moment.

'I'm not sure what the hell is going on here, the sky darkening in a strange way, those weird storm clouds, and the rumours of people breaking out... could they be somehow all connected?' His expression darkened for a moment, but he quickly set the thought aside. 'Tch, I better not jump into conclusion right off the bat here… I wonder if Motoki or Reika noticed it.'

Finally, he stood up and walked over to the kitchenette. The small space was sparsely furnished with just the essentials. He opened the fridge and pulled out some leftovers, heating them up in the microwave.

A flash from his past suddenly invaded his thoughts. He flinched, feeling his body tensing as the memories resurfaced. '...No, I… really don't need to think about that now.' he told himself, shaking his head.

Finishing his meal, Kura cleaned up and returned to the couch. He pulled out a worn notebook from his bag, flipping through the pages filled with notes and observations. 'Strange occurrences, unusual sightings, unexplained phenomena... there's a pattern here, I just need to find it.'

The next day, the sun was bright over Juban High School as students filed into their classrooms. The morning passed uneventfully and soon the bell rang to signal the end of the period, marking the start of lunch.

Kura packed his books away, lost in his own thoughts. As he stood up, he noticed Motoki Furuhata making his way toward him, his taller frame and short blonde hair standing out among the crowd. Beside him walked Reika, her pinkish-brown hair and eyes catching the light. Her kind smile contrasted with her occasional scolding of Motoki's antics.

Motoki approached Kura with his usual infectious enthusiasm. "Hey, Kura! Want to join us for lunch?"

Kura sighed, giving a small nod in acceptance. "Sure, why not?"

The three of them walked to the cafeteria, finding a spot near the windows where sunlight streamed in, casting a warm glow over their table. As they settled in, the cafeteria buzzed with the chatter of students, the clatter of trays and the hum of conversation.

Motoki leaned back in his chair, stretching. "So, how's everyone holding up with exams coming up? I swear, it feels like the teachers are out to get us."

Reika rolled her eyes playfully. "Motoki, if you spent half as much time studying as you do playing games, you wouldn't be so stressed." She rebutted.

Kura sighed slightly, taking a bite of his sandwich. "Exams are just another hurdle. You deal with them and move on."

"Easy for you to say, Mr. I-never-study-but-still-ace-everything." Motoki chuckled in amusement.

Kura snorted in response to his simplistic comment. "I don't 'ace everything', dumbass. I'm just decent enough to pass."

"Of course, it's not like it's the same thing, huh?" Motoki shot back with smirk. "But sure. Whatever you say, man." Motoki retorted with amusement.

Reika turned to Kura. "How are you doing, Kura? We haven't talked much lately."

Kura shrugged, looking out the window for a moment before replying. "I'm managing pretty decently. Met someone interesting yesterday."

Motoki's eyebrows shot up. "Oh? Who's that?" He asked.

Kura sighed, sensing their curiosity. "Some green-haired girl playing the violin in Juban Park."

Reika's eyes sparkled with recognition. "Green hair? Violin? Could it be Michiru Kaioh?"

"Yeah, that's her. Why do you ask?" Kura nodded slowly.

Reika could hardly contain her excitement. "She's an up-and-coming violinist, already quite popular. I can't believe you met her and didn't know who she was! I've been lucky enough to attend a few of her concerts at Mugen Academy. She's young and yet so talented!"

"Concerts at Mugen Academy, huh? She mentioned she attended there, but I didn't realise she was that well-known." Kura mentioned casually.

Motoki grinned, nudging Kura. "Looks like you've been living under a rock, Kura. Michiru's name is practically everywhere in the recent music scene."

Kura rolled his eyes, a hint of a smirk playing on his lips. While he did enjoy music, he wasn't exactly aware of the new up-and-comers in the music world. "I suppose I have other things on my mind."

"Oh, I'm sure you do." Reika smiled warmly. "Well, it's nice to hear you met someone like her. Maybe she'll inspire you to pick up a hobby other than brooding and working out."

Motoki laughed along. "Yeah. You could learn to play the violin. Then you'd have another reason to talk to her."

"I think I'll stick to what I'm good at." Kura sighed in an attempted to brush off the conversation.

"Oh, come on Kura. You have to admit, meeting someone like Michiru is pretty special." Reika said as a sly smirk appeared on her lips. "Did you talk to her for long?"

Kura shrugged, looking indifferent. "Long enough to know she's talented and dedicated to her craft. Not like it matters."

"Long enough, huh? Did you manage to charm her with your sparkling personality?" Motoki interjected, mirroring Reika's smirk.

Kura shot them a deadpan look. "Yeah Motoki, because everyone knows I'm the life of the party."

"Oh, we know that." Reika giggled, clearly enjoying the opportunity to tease Kura. "Maybe you should attend one of her concerts sometimes, see what all the fuss is about."

"Agreed. You might actually enjoy it. Besides, it's not every day you meet someone with such talent and dedication." Motoki nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, and who knows? Maybe she'll help you see the brighter side of things." Reika continued with a grin. "Imagine the tenebrous Kura Hayama actually enjoying a romantic piece by Chopin or Tchaikovsky."

"Tsk. Idiots." Kura couldn't help but smirk at that, even if it was short-lived. "Obviously I'm just one concert away from a complete personality overhaul." He said with a touch of sarcasm in his voice.

Reika made a few short nods in approval. "What do you know? Maybe Michiru will be the one to break through that tough exterior of yours."

"Right…" Kura shook his head at their persistence. "Why do I get the feeling you two would make great used car salesmen?"

"Because we know a good deal when we see one." Motoki joked.

"Plus, going to one of Michiru's concerts sounds like it could be a positive influence." Reika carried on.

With a sigh, Kura eventually gave in. "Alright, alright. I'll think about it. No promises, though."

As the school day came to an end, Kura walked out of Juban High School, his mind still lingering on the conversation he'd had with Motoki and Reika. The late afternoon sun was starting to dip toward the horizon, casting long shadows across the school grounds.

As he made his way to the gate, he spotted a familiar figure approaching. Hine Chiyara, one of his friends, waved at him with a cheerful smile. Her blue eyes sparkled mischievously, matching the playful tone often found in her voice. Her matching blue hair was tied in a side-bunned ponytail, with a braid running through the rest. She had a slender build and an easy, confident stride.

"Hey, Kura!" she called out, closing the distance between them. "Long day?"

Kura acknowledged her presence. "The usual. You know how it is."

Hine grinned, falling into step beside him. "Always so mysterious, aren't you? So, what's new?"

Kura shrugged, glancing at her. "Nothing honestly. Dealing with Motoki and Reika's antics."

Hine laughed softly with amusement. "Ah, those two. Always trying to drag you into their world, huh?"

"Yeah, you could say that." Kura replied, his tone lightening slightly. "I mean, I know they mean well but sometimes they can be such a pain."

"Of course they do. They just want to see you loosen up a bit." Hine teased, nudging him playfully. "So, anything interesting recently?"

"Besides me playing cupid between those two? Nothing really." Kura responded simply.

"Hmm, you sure about it?" Hine asked.

"Well, if you consider meeting a talented violinist in the park exciting, then sure." Kura informed.

Hine blinked her eyes with interest. "A violinist? Now that's interesting. You don't usually pay attention to things like that. Who is she?"

"Her name's Michiru Kaioh." Kura replied. "Apparently, she's pretty well-known."

Hine's eyes widened in surprise. "Michiru Kaioh? I've heard of her and her fiddling skills. Guess you're not completely immune to the charms of talent."

"Apparently not." Kura said dryly.

Hine placed her index finger on her chin. "Did you have fun talking to her?" She asked with feigned innocence.

"Not you too." Kura grunted in displeasure.

"Soorry." Hine let out a grin. "You basically asked for it."

Kura shook his head. "Yeah right, as if I…"

As they continued walking, Kura cut off his own words and noticed the sky starting to darken again. He stopped in his tracks, his eyes narrowing as he looked up.

"There it is again." he muttered, more to himself than to Hine.

Hine followed his gaze, her playful demeanour momentarily replaced by a more serious expression. "Yeah, I've noticed it too. It's been happening a lot lately."

Kura turned to her. "You think it's something serious?"

Hine shrugged, but there was a hint of unease in her eyes. "Could be. I've heard rumours about strange things happening around the city, especially about Mugen Academy. People acting weird, sudden blackouts. It's like something's brewing."

'I wonder…' Kura trailed off in his thoughts as his eyes fixed on the sky. "Do you think we should we take a look?"

For a mere moment, Hine's expression darkened, before she regained her composure. "Not yet."

"Not yet?" Kura asked, taking into account a glimpse of her features.

"Yeah…" Hine slowly nodded, looking straightforwardly. "Looks like someone else's heading to it, or rather them."

Meanwhile across the city Michiru and Haruka were leaving Mugen Academy when they noticed the sudden change in the sky. The once-clear afternoon had taken on an ominous dark hue and a sense of dread in the air.

Haruka glanced at Michiru. "You see that too?"

Michiru nodded, her grip tightening on her violin case. "Yes, and it doesn't feel right. We should check the area, just in case."

Without hesitation, the two of them set off, their senses heightened as they scanned the surroundings. The streets were unusually quiet, and an uneasy tension seemed to hang in the air.

They walked through the park, where Michiru had been playing the previous day. The usual bustling sounds of the city were muted, replaced by an unnatural stillness. Haruka's eyes darted around, always alert for any sign of trouble.

As they moved deeper into the park, Michiru's intuition, always finely tuned, began to prick at her. She placed a hand on Haruka's arm, signalling her to stop. "Do you feel that?" she whispered.

Haruka nodded, her body tensing. "Yeah, something's off."

They continued, moving cautiously, their senses on high alert. Suddenly, Michiru stopped, her gaze fixed on a shadowy figure moving swiftly between the trees. "There." she pointed.

Haruka's eyes narrowed as she followed Michiru's gaze. "Let's go."

With a fluid motion, Michiru set her violin case aside and reached for her transformation wand. Haruka did the same, and in unison, they called out their transformation phrases.

"Uranus Planet Power, Make Up!" "Neptune Planet Power, Make Up!"

Haruka's clothes vanished, replaced by the navy and gold uniform of Sailor Uranus, the fierce warrior of the wind. Her short blonde hair lifted slightly in the energy, her teal sailor collar and bow settling into place. Beside her, Michiru transformed into Sailor Neptune, the elegant and graceful guardian of the sea. Her uniform appeared, a deep teal with an aqua bow, shimmered as she completed her transformation.

"Let's do it." Uranus eyed her partner.

"Right." Neptune nodded, following along.

Quick info, I never could fully stand the 90s versions of Haruka and Michiru, so this will focus on their canon versions, i.e. the Crystal/manga version. Honestly, I think the original anime ruined them, especially when transformed, because making them two bitches lowered their IQ, by a lot. Oh and yes, this is pre-canon, and needless to say this story will vary from the original 'time-line', but never mind that as the 90s anime isn't exactly canon per se. (or at least most of it.)

That's about it. If I'm not lazy enough, I'll continue this. Peace everyone.
