"No," Cat stuck out his lower lip stubbornly as he sat in his napping box. "Come on, Cat! Its finally sweater weather, and I'm dying to hit the shops!" Marinette clasped her hands together.
"The only thrift shop I know is that song by Macklemore," Cat told her. "You'll have fun."
Cat did perk up as they headed out. Paris was being transformed by Autumn, as the leaves were shedding the last of their greenness, making room for a coat of red, russet, and golden yellow. Pumpkins and a few ghosts decorated the store fronts, and Cat was glad to have time with his Princess.
They entered a small store, and Cat sighed. Photo shoots meant clothing, and he was surrounded by clothes. "Come on, this way," he blushed as she took his paw, leading him over to the sweaters.
"This one's cute," Cat held up an orange sweater that said "Boo!" across the front. "Maybe I'll get for Ladybug," Cat mused. "Orange isn't her color…." Marinette discouraged, and Cat narrowed his eyes. "How would you know that?" Pumpkin spice and sugar, how was she going to out of this one?
"This...this is more her style," she picked out a multi-colored sweaters of browns. "This! Now this is her style!" "Looks like it would itch." "I'll model it for you, and we'll see who itches."
Cat grinned as Marinette sauntered away to find the changing room. Marinette could be as feisty as M'lady, and more times then one, he was almost sure it was Marinette under the red-and-black dotted mask.
Wham! The door flew open and Marinette sashayed down the aisle towards Cat, but instead of the model's walk, Marinette squirmed then begin to itch! "Cat, help! Its so itchy!"
"Told ya. Now I want to scratch," he replied, plopping down on the floor and scratching with his paw, making his golden bell ding. "Cat, I need your claws!" "Not now, itches!" "No, use your claws as a back scratcher!" "Ah!" Cat leaped up and begin kneading his claws into the sweater. "Ah, that's better. Cat?" Oh, no.
Cat gave a loud yowl. "I got my claw stuck in the yarn! Maybe if I zoom…." he muttered to Marinette's horror, he took off, unraveling the sweater. Marinette was pulled with him, yelling. "Cat, I'm still attached!"
Soon, they're was nothing left of the sweater but a yarn ball, and an embarrassed Marinette. She paid for the yarn and stepped into the cool air, face burning.
Marinette liked shopping, but next time she went shopping for a sweater, she would leave Cat behind!
