In space, not far from the planet Earth, in its Solar System, a giant ship was pursuing a smaller one. The larger ship fired at the smaller one, causing severe damage. The smaller ship fired back, hitting the larger vessel.
"Damage to the rudder, 20%. Operating systems still functional. Your orders, great Vilgax!" One of the subordinates asked the sovereign.
Vilgax is a humanoid creature with a face resembling that of an octopus. He has tentacles hanging in front of his face, like a beard. His skin is light green with yellowish spots on his face and tentacles. He has no visible nose or ears. His eyes are red. He wears black and reddish-brown armor with spikes on the shoulder and arm pads. He has green pouches on the sides of his head.
"I came from far away to give up. Exterminate them!" He ordered his soldiers, who followed the command and fired again at the small ship. "The Omnitrix will be mine, and there is no being in this galaxy that can challenge me."

Earth, one of the newest planets in the universe. The human race was a relatively new and inferior species compared to other beings in the universe. They were technologically inferior, lacking continuous access to space or distant planets, thus being ignored by extraterrestrial beings. A race of weak and incapable beings.
But, that began to change several years ago.
It all started in China, in the city of Qingquing. News spread that a baby emitting light had been born. Since then, superpowers and other mutations have been discovered in various places, and time passed without the cause being identified.
Before they knew it, the supernatural became normal. And dreams became reality.
The world became a superhuman society, and approximately 80% of the population has some kind of superpower. In this world taken by chaos, a profession that everyone dreamed of and admired became possible. This profession is that of heroes.
Along with superpowers, there was a surge in crime. As the country was stalled in drastic legislative reform, brave people began performing heroic acts straight out of comic books. Protection against superpowers and defense against evil. Heroes were soon accepted by the public, and it became a true profession. Based on their performances, they are paid by the government and gain renown among the people.
The human race began to evolve, both in strength and technologically as they adapted to their new capabilities. But, until they managed to leave their planet, they would still be considered a planet that poses no threat to any other.
The hero of our story is on this planet...

-[Japan]-
At the sunset of the day, where the sky turned orange as the Sun set to make way for the Moon, a small bus was traveling along a road through a forest. Inside, there were various groups of people—friends and relatives—traveling together while a woman showed them around. At the back, near the rear, was a mother and son duo.
Inko Midoriya; a woman slightly overweight, with green hair styled in a ponytail above her shoulders. And Izuku Midoriya; a young boy slightly short for his age, with a round face framed by a messy, short, dark green hairstyle. His eyes are large and somewhat circular, with irises the same green color as his hair, which are often watery and generally wide open, giving him an innocent and energetic appearance. He has a set of four symmetrical freckles in the shape of diamonds, one on each cheek.
"Izuku, do you want some?" She offered a piece of her sandwich.
"No, thanks." He replied, not feeling very hungry, returning to stare at the landscape and the trees they were passing. He sighed.
"Izuku, is everything okay?" His mother asked, concerned about her son.
"Hmm? No, don't worry. It's nothing." Izuku said, trying not to let his mother worry during this weekend.
"A-Ah, okay. If you want to talk..." The woman saw his gaze wander again, looking at the trees and the road, and she had a saddened expression, but not because her son was ignoring her, but because she knew what he was going through.
Midoriya is a boy without a Quirk. In a world where people have various powers, ranging from controlling basic elements of nature to simple or advanced bodily mutations, those without powers have become the minority. Only 20% do not have powers, while the remaining 80% possess some ability.
This made the green-haired boy's life terrible.
His dream, from the moment he became aware of what he wanted to be, was to become a great hero like his idol, All Might, the number 1 hero in Japan, and save people. But, as everyone around him said, especially his "childhood friend," Katsuki Bakugou, or Kacchan, who sometimes emphasized with his Quirk: Explosion, it was impossible for him to become a hero without a Quirk.
His mother had managed to save enough to take this trip to a forest camp, and she had also secured a special coupon. They would spend the weekend by a lake, hiking through the forest at the foot of a mountain, and returning by a different path, making a full loop around the lake area.

Another shot was fired from the giant ship, hitting the smaller one in the rear, destroying it and causing it to slow down to almost a stop: "Their propulsion systems were destroyed." One of the soldiers informed the world conqueror.
"Prepare the approach. I want the Omnitrix, NOW!" Vilgax ordered.
The smaller ship then concentrated energy at its tip and fired at the larger one. The shot hit the control room and destroyed it, along with the subordinates and the world conqueror. A capsule was ejected from the silver ship. It flew past the planets, heading towards Earth.

The bus had finally stopped at a rest area near the campsite, where people could find spots for each family to camp. The Midoriyas chose a more secluded area, with a camping table and a fire pit, with enough space to set up their tents.
"Aah! Isn't it nice to breathe the fresh forest air, Izuku?" His mother asked him, taking a deep breath as she sat at the table bench.
"Yes, yes, it is." Izuku agreed, watching the stars begin to appear. "I'm going for a walk, if you don't mind, Mom." He requested to his matriarch.
"Of course. Just don't go too far, and don't take too long. It will get dark soon, and tomorrow I'd like to take the hike with the others." Inko warned him, picking up a bag and placing it on the table. "I'll organize the food and drinks, as well as the trash bag. We shouldn't be littering in nature, and I also need to check the repellents."
The green-haired boy nodded, agreeing with his mother, and headed towards the trees and into the forest. He put his hand in his pocket and took out a burn ointment. Going for a walk to get some fresh air was just another of the many excuses he had to make up, but this time, he could really enjoy the fresh air and the cool weather to relax.
No teachers, no "friends," or any silly problems. Not having to worry about school, his future as a hero, his choice of course for the future, and his attempt to get into U.A., which would happen in about eleven months.
Even though everyone said no, he would try; after all, it wouldn't hurt to strive for his own dreams.
The green-haired boy looked up at the sky and saw a shining light with a tail at the back "A shooting star!" He smiled slightly. Just as he was about to make a wish, even if it was something silly, the light seemed to change its trajectory little by little, until it fell a few meters away from him. The boy's eyes widened "What?! A meteor just fell?!" He exclaimed, surprised.
The common sense of anyone seeing something like that would be to immediately run to notify a professional hero or any responsible authority.
But, he didn't do that. Izuku proceeded, curious about the meteor's fall, until he saw black smoke rising from a circular crater. The smoke began to dissipate "What could it be—WHOAA!" Before he could complete his question, he fell from the edge, which broke under his weight, down to the bottom of the crater "Damn..." He got up and rubbed his head where he hit the ground. He fixed his gaze on the center of the crater, seeing what was there.
It was a gray, circular capsule.
"What could that be?" He wondered, standing up "It doesn't look like a meteor, it seems to be made of metal. But it doesn't look like any satellite." He began to analyze the strange object, becoming more curious from his point of view. The strange object then opened, revealing itself to be a capsule. That wasn't what surprised him the most "A watch?"
Inside the capsule was a large wristwatch, mostly black and gray, with a gray dial in the middle featuring a green hourglass shape. His eyes widened even more. Not understanding much, but driven by an unknown instinct, he reached out to touch the device, curious about it.
Suddenly, the watch opened and attached itself to Izuku's wrist: "Aaaaahhhhh!" He screamed, startled by what happened. "Get off me! Get off me!" He shook his arm frantically, hoping to make it fall off, but it was no use. He tried using a branch to remove it, but it didn't work either. He tried biting and pulling, but nothing made a difference, just like the previous attempts. "Oh, come on! Get off!" He continued to try. "What kind of watch is this? It won't come off." He started inspecting the watch completely, stopping when he saw a green button. "I wonder what this does?" He pressed it, and a tube extended with a symbol of a strange figure appearing on it. "Hmm?" Again, driven by instinct, he clicked on the symbol with his middle finger until it returned to its previous state.
A green light enveloped the entire area, with Izuku at the center. His body began to grow slowly; volcanic rocks started covering his skin, which turned a dark brown color. His feet became slightly oval, with only two toes and a heel. He began to radiate green fire from his entire body, especially from his head. The watch's symbol was on the upper part of his torso.
"Aaaaahhhhh!" Izuku screamed again, running back and forth. "I'm on fire! Help! I'm burning! Help!" He cried out desperately, trying to make someone hear him as he ran the same path he had come moments before.
-With Inko-
"Ugh. I think everything is ready now." Inko said, finishing preparing the food and water for the next morning. "Now..." She started looking around "Where could Izuku be—"
"HELP!" A male scream drew the woman's attention to a light green glow approaching the campsite. "Mom! Please, help me!" The green-haired boy appeared on fire, surprising the woman.
"IZUKUUUUU!" Inko screamed in despair, her eyes wide open, running to grab a portable fire extinguisher that each of them had received from the travel staff. "Calm down, calm down! Lie down and roll!" She shouted again.
Izuku did as she asked, lying down and starting to roll on the ground. Inko pulled the pin and removed the safety clip from the equipment, spraying it onto her son's body. After a few minutes, the flames were extinguished, leaving only the body under the white foam.
"Izuku, are you okay?" The mother asked worriedly, approaching her son.
"Yes. I'm—" Before he could finish saying he was okay, his body automatically burst into flames again, burning and destroying the rest of the foam, surprising both of them with what had just happened. "Oh no! I'm still on fire!"
"IZUKUUUUU!" The woman panicked again when she saw her son catch fire once more.
"I... I... Actually, I don't feel anything." Izuku finally realized he wasn't feeling any intense heat and actually felt like it was the most normal thing, as if his body had always been on fire.
"Hmm?" The green-haired woman tilted her head, still shedding tears of concern.
"Really, I don't feel anything. I just realized now. These flames don't burn anything; I feel completely fine." The green-haired boy said, examining his body more closely. "It's like... I've been fire for years." He tried to give the best explanation to his mother.
The woman then dropped the extinguisher on the ground, getting a bit closer to her son, feeling the warmth from his flaming form, and analyzing him. "H-H-How did this happen?" She asked, still worried.
"Well..." He scratched his flaming head.
"So, you were walking, and this meteor fell, and instead of coming to me or the others, you tried to see what it was and ended up finding a capsule with a strange watch inside?" The woman questioned him, a dark aura appearing above her head.
"Y-Yes... That's what happened..." He nodded in response to the question, fearing for his life at that moment. "She looks so scary when she tries to stay calm..."
"What a stressful thing..." Inko put her hands on her temples and started massaging them. "Firstly, who would send a watch like this into space?"
"I don't know. I wondered the same thing."
"This watch stuck to your wrist, and you transformed into this... this... fiery form?" She asked again, unsure how to describe the fiery form her son had transformed into.
"Yes. It was very strange. It jumped on me, attached itself, and then a kind of cylinder extended, showing me an image of a flaming skull, and I ended up clicking on it. Then a green light came, and my body transformed into this." Izuku explained the last part again. "And now?! What do I do?! Am I going to stay like this forever?! What if it's an activation device for a Quirk, inside a satellite? It might have been sent into space to capture solar energy and power its basic functions. But, such an experiment would be public, unless it's secret tests to be announced when it's 100% ready. What are the side effects? *Murmur* It could be Dad's Quirk awakened in a different way *murmur* a fusion of powers? *murmur*"
"Izuku, dear, you're doing it again." Inko warned him that he was doing his usual murmuring again. It was a habit of her son to start talking about many things at once, creating multiple theories about one thing.
*Bew Bew Bow!*
There was a red explosion from the device on the green-haired boy's chest, turning him back to normal. Both were surprised by this. Izuku was relieved, happy to be back to normal and no longer on fire.
"IZUKU!" His mother jumped on the green-haired boy, happy he had returned to normal, hugging him tightly.
— At the same time —
"Sir, we've lost the signal from the Omnitrix." The subordinate reported to his master, who was now in a treatment chamber to restore his injured body.
"Send the drones!" Vilgax ordered.
From a chamber on his ship, a large drone was launched towards the planet. It penetrated the atmosphere, catching fire before landing a few meters away from the crater where the Omnitrix had fallen, settling on the ground.
The drone began to assemble itself, transforming into a twelve-meter-tall humanoid-looking machine; it had large claws on its hands, three insectoid legs, and a face with two red orbs. It aimed at the crater, detecting the watch's signature and seeing human and Pyronite footprints burning the ground. The drone raised its gaze above the footprints and noticed some lights in the distance, among the trees of the forest.
— 10 Minutes Later —
"What?" Inko was confused by what her son had just said.
"That there are ten transformations in this watch, look closely..." He showed the figures on the cylinder, after pressing the large green button on the side, flipping through the images. "This one is from the fiery guy earlier. I clicked and turned into him. Not only did I gain his abilities, but my body completely transformed into him. I think it's a transformation device."
"But, for what purpose?" The woman questioned.
"I'm not sure. I just know that when I press this button, and the cylinder extends, and I turn it to change the transformation, then I click and transform into the one I chose." The green-haired boy explained. "I have a theory, but it's kind of crazy..." Izuku said, focusing on the device in his possession. "Hmmmm." He continued thinking, realizing that his thought made more sense than anything else.
"Izuku, what's this theory?" Inko asked, worried about her son's silence.
"Well, I think that—" *BOOM!* A large explosion drew both their attention to a few meters away, with black smoke rising above the trees. "What?! What was that?!"
"It came from the trailer park!" Inko realized when she saw the direction from which the explosion came.
"Is it a villain?" The thought crossed both their minds, fearing for their safety and that of others. Before they could think of anything else, a trailer was thrown in their direction.
Izuku saw the massive metal piece flying towards him and his mother. Acting on instinct, he leaped from his seat, jumping over the table, and grabbed it to prevent them from being crushed by the vehicle. They both fell to the ground as the table and seats were smashed into pieces by the trailer. They turned and were surprised by what they saw: a giant robot with a humanoid and insect-like appearance.
The robot focused its gaze on the mother and son, zeroing in on the watch on the green-haired boy's arm: "W-W-What—"
"RUN!" Izuku shouted as the robot fired a beam from its eyes at them. He picked up his mother and started running, dragging her, only for the beam explosion to make them both fall to the ground. He tried to get up, scratching his head from the fall, only to be grabbed by two of the machine's fingers, holding him around his torso. The green-haired boy was then lifted until he was at the same height as the machine's face, staring at it with desperation, sweating, and eyes wide with fear.
"IZUKUUUUU!" His mother's scream seemed even more distant at that moment, near death.
The machine's eyes glowed intensely, the same way they had before firing the previous beam, showing its intent in lifting the young green-haired boy: "Aaaaahhhhh!" He crossed his arms in a futile attempt to protect himself against the beam, though his subconscious knew it was completely useless, but he braced himself for the hit. His eyes then wandered to his wrist, seeing the symbols on the watch. It had transformed him once before; maybe it would work again. He clicked on the first symbol on the watch and pushed the cylinder all the way down.
A green light engulfed him once more, beginning to transform his body; his skin turned into a kind of green-blue crystal, resembling a diamond. He had a large and muscular build. Four crystal shards adorned his back, and he had a sharp head, a large jaw, and yellowish eyes. His clothes were all black with a large green stripe running from the middle to the belt, and he wore black pants and boots with green details on the bottom. He had a green stripe with white stripes where the watch's symbol was prominently displayed in the center.
The beam struck his arms and reflected in various directions, hitting the ground and other trees around: "I don't know what transformation this is, but I'm already liking it..." The green-haired boy declared with relief and excitement, shielding his face.
"Aaaaahhhhhh!" A feminine scream caught the teenager's attention to the ground, seeing his mother narrowly dodging one of the reflected shots, receiving a cut on her leg from the beam.
"Mom!" That made something click in the boy's mind, as the beam stopped firing from his adversary's eyes "You...!" He grabbed the fingers that were holding him, breaking part of the metal with the strength of his grip, trying to pry them open with all his might. The machine began to apply even more pressure against him "Let me...!" He raised his arms, not noticing that they had transformed into sharp spikes, almost like blades but irregular "Go!" He sliced the machine's larger finger, landing on his feet on the ground. His eyes widened as he alternated his gaze between the spikes that replaced his hands "How cool! This is some kind of atomic physiology manipulation. Is it limited to just the arms, or can I transform every part of my body? Can I create new ones if I destroy the old ones? Wait! Can I get my hands back, or do I have to break the blades for them to return? What kind of crystal is this? It looks like a type of diamond but with a very different color. What—"
While his murmuring crises began without him noticing, during his moment of distraction, the robot prepared a punch with its right arm and delivered it to the teenager. The giant metal fist smashed into the small crystal figure, creating a cloud of dust. As the robot raised its fist, it began searching for him in the dust cloud raised by its attack.
Izuku managed to get up with some difficulty, his body slightly cracked, especially his chin, spitting out some crystals: "Note to self: Never start analyzing someone's powers while fighting, it could end very badly." He said to himself "Urgh!" He struggled to his feet, rubbing the struck area "It's going to hurt more tomorrow, I'm sure..." Looking back, he saw another attack coming at him. The green-haired boy jumped and dodged the blow, rolling on the ground and getting on his knees. He stared at his blade-puns and the giant machine "Alright, how am I going to deal with this? There's no professional here for miles. I don't even know what kind of villain is causing this, I've never heard of one commanding a machine like this... Or at least, one so big and strange..." He scrutinized the giant machine from head to toe, trying to find an opening to counterattack.
The giant drone then recharged its beam once more, aiming at the green-haired boy. Again, the crystal being crossed his arms and used them to reflect the laser beams.
"Come on! Think! I can't stay like this forever..." The beams reflected off the sides of the drone's head "Got it!" He crossed his arms again, letting the lasers strike and cut the giant machine's head. The drone began to contort and fall backward. When it hit the ground, the green-haired boy sighed in relief "What luck." He sighed, relieved.
He then started hearing some strange pounding sounds. The green-haired boy looked around, searching for what it could be, especially if it was a real threat; but it wasn't. It was applause; the people around, those who had just witnessed him heroically battling the giant drone, were clapping enthusiastically.
Midoriya's eyes widened in surprise at that.
Unbeknownst to him, his world was about to be turned upside down. Everything was about to change. Both his world would change for the better, and there were those whose lives would change for the worse.
{Space}
The large ship that night hovered over the planet: "Failure?! Unbelievable!" Vilgax shouted from his recovery chamber.
"Sir. We fear we must retreat; a small fleet of Plumbers is approaching our location." One of the soldiers informed his master.
"Grrrr." He growled, irritated "Today, I will retreat. But let my words be marked...! The insignificant being from Earth who is keeping the Omnitrix away from me will soon be hanging on my trophy wall!"
