It was like i didn't exist to Lucas anymore. He would see me in town and turn his gaze. If he wasn't at work. With the friendgroup. He was with Brooke.
They were all loving and full of affection. What i felt was anger. Blind rage. Consuming me. As time moved on. I came to the conclusion. I had two choices.
Allow these negative feelings to swallow me whole. Or I could leave Tree Hill behind. Knowing like my dad did long ago.
Tree Hill was haunted. Full of memories. Bad choices. The life i was supposed to have.

Brooke smiled as she rubbed her belly. She had fallen asleep in the nursery. That happened every now and again.
She was 21 weeks into the pregnancy. The babies movements were alot more strong and alert these days.
Brooke's belly was had stretch marks which was something new that she was adjusting too.
Her had truly transformed in preperation for impending birth.
And it was still taking time to get used too.
The idea of giving birth was scary and terrifying.
Despite having listened to Haley and Rachel's different birth stories.
And looking into the types of births she could do.
It all felt scary unknown and vunerable in a way she had never experienced before.
She was relieved to have her girlfriends to talk too.
And her love of food returning. She was eating for three and found herself craving foods she never cared for before.
Sweets and carbs. Were what she longed for most these days.
But when she could she ate more like her normal self.
Swimming was an activity she had always enjoyed and the benefits of doing it while pregnant was so positive.
Along with walking around town which is what her and Lucas did together.
Brooke kept her concerns and worries about giving birth from Lucas. He had enough going on without her adding to it. She thought to herself.

His third novel had officially gone to print. He skimmed the copy he had been given. In advance to the launch in bookstores.
He had it all. But he felt empty.
