AN: Before we get the ball rolling with my maiden Pokémon story, which I have been dying to get written for all of you to see, there are a few things that I want to establish for it, and also for any future Pokémon stories I may write. First off, in my stories, the Pokémon are depicted as being able to communicate with each other, but cannot be understood by humans, who only hear them saying their names, like in the anime, or performing their cries, like in the games. For those who don't understand, this is kind of like how animal characters are often depicted in movies, such as Lady and the Tramp and Madagascar. Second, Wailord, one of the Pokémon on my dream team (which took me forever to figure out, which is partly why this story took so long to make), is depicted as being much smaller than the 47' 07" size of his species, and is more the size the species is depicted with in the Sun and Moon games. This was obviously done so that involving him in my stories would be much easier. Also, when not in the water, he gets around by floating in the air, kind of like his species does when one is brought out to battle in games like Pokémon Coliseum. I've actually got a headcanon that explains his size in the works, but that's something for another story. Speaking of stories, let's get this one started.

It was a beautiful morning down in the Ferrum Region, and over in Old Ferrum Town, a young man named Moose, who was a Pokémon trainer when he was younger, yawned and stretched his arms as the sun shone into his bedroom.

"Looks like it's the start of another beautiful day in the Ferrum Region", Moose said.

He got up out of his bed and left his bedroom, then walked down the hall towards another room.

"Better hurry up and get the 'Mons up", Moose said.

He opened the door he was walking to, and inside the room, his six Pokémon he had caught when he was a trainer and were now pets of sorts to him: a Delphox, a Luxray, a Noivern, a Torkoal, a Trevenant, and a Wailord, were all sleeping soundly.

"There they are", Moose said, "my six prides and joys."

The first of the Pokémon to wake up was Delphox, who happily let out her cry as she saw Moose and ran over to him.

"Ah, Delphox", Moose said, "always up first to say good morning."

Moose patted Delphox's head, and one by one, his other Pokémon began to wake up.

"I'll bet you guys are hungry, aren't you", Moose said, "don't worry, I'll go get your breakfast fixed right now."

Moose poured some Pokémon food into six bowls for his Pokémon to eat out of, and pretty soon, all six of them were chowing down, and by the time they were finished, Moose had finished getting dressed and ready for the day and spoke to his Pokémon.

"Well, I'm off to work now", Moose said, "you six be good, okay?"

His Pokémon all responded with their cries.

"Okay", Moose said, "see you later tonight."

Moose went out the front door, got in his car, and drove away, and as the Pokémon watched him drive away, Delphox addressed them.

"Well, guys", Delphox said, "the house is officially ours."

"Yep", Luxray said, "we've got the whole entire day to ourselves."

"I know, right", Noivern asked, "isn't it great?"

The others agreed, and after a bit of silence before Noivern spoke again.

"Now what", Noivern asked.

"Well, let's see", Trevenant said, "we could..."

Trevenant tried to come up with an answer, but nothing was coming to his mind.

"I don't know what we could do", Trevenant said.

"We could always take a nap", Torkoal said.

"Are you serious", Luxray asked, "where's the fun in that?"

"Alright, genius", Torkoal said, "got any better ideas?"

Luxray opened his mouth to say something, but couldn't come up with anything to say.

"Not really", Luxray said.

"Well, what are we gonna do", Wailord asked, "we can't just spend the day lounging about like a bunch of lumps on a log."

"Yeah, but no one has any ideas for stuff we can do", Luxray said.

"He's right, you know", Noivern said.

"Calm down, you guys", Delphox said, "I'm sure we'll come up with something."

"Oh, yeah", Trevenant asked, "like what?"

Delphox looked around the house as she pondered to herself, then noticed the back door leading to the backyard and got an idea.

"I know", Delphox said, "why don't we go outside for a little bit?"

"And do what", Luxray asked.

"I don't know", Delphox said, "but we'll think think of something."

"Sure, why not", Torkoal said, "I could use a little time in the sun."

The rest of Moose's Pokémon thought Delphox's idea sounded better than sitting around inside, and she led them out the back door into the backyard, and once they were outside, they began thinking about what they could do for fun.

"So, now that we're out here", Luxray said, "any suggestions for what we can do?"

"What's say we just lie down and catch some sun", Torkoal said, "it sure is nice and warm today."

"Yeah, that's a hard no", Luxray said, "heat and black fur do not mix."

"And anyways, the sunlight always turns harsh whenever you stand around in it for too long", Noivern said.

"I can't help it", Torkoal said, "I have Drought as my ability."

"I know", Wailord said, "why don't we pull out Moose's old inflatable pool and fill it up with water so we can go for a little swim?"

"We", Trevenant asked, "Wailord, if you got in that pool, you'd be the only one in there, because we wouldn't fit in there with you in it."

"Oh, right", Wailord said, "I forgot."

"Besides, only two or three of us other Pokémon even fit in it to begin with", Torkoal said.

"Right", Wailord said.

"How about a race", Noivern said, "fastest one around the backyard three times is the winner."

"Oh yeah, sure, us walkers against the only Flying-type of the bunch", Luxray said, "that'd be a fair race."

"I can't help it", Noivern said, "I guess you could say I've got the type advantage."

"Yeah, in the race", Luxray said, "but you wouldn't if we were battling."

"Oh, yeah", Noivern asked.

"Yeah", Luxray said.

The two Pokemon began arguing, and pretty soon, the other ones joined in, and while that was going on, Delphox was looking towards the entrance to the forest that was behind Moose's backyard and thinking to herself, and after a minute, she got an idea and turned to speak to the others.

"Hey, guys", Delphox said, "I know what we can do!"

The other Pokémon didn't hear her because they were too busy arguing over what they could do.

"Guys", Delphox said, "hello?"

But the others continued to argue, causing Delphox to sigh in exasperation.

"Men", Delphox said.

She proceeded to take out her branch, then used it to perform a Mystical Fire attack on the ground in front of the other Pokémon, causing them to stop what they were doing.

"Thank you", Delphox said, "now, as I was saying, I have an idea for something we could do."

"What is it", Wailord asked.

"Why don't we go into the woods and look around for a little while", Delphox said.

"The woods", Noivern asked, "are you sure that's a good idea?"

"I think Noivern's got a point", Torkoal said, "I'm not sure we should stray too far from the house while Moose is gone."

"It's just for a little while", Delphox said, "a little stroll through the woods, and we're home before he realizes."

"I don't know", Torkoal said.

"Oh, come on", Delphox said, "it'll be fun."

"I'm with her", Wailord said, "it might be nice walking around the woods and seeing what all there is to be seen."

"Agreed", Trevenant said, "besides, it has been a while since I've been in the forest."

"That's two votes for the forest", Delphox said, "anyone else?"

"Sure, why not", Luxray said, "it might be fun."

"I could go for a little time in nature", Noivern said.

"Great", Delphox said, "well Torkoal, what do you say?"

Torkoal thought it over for a moment before responding."

"Fine", Torkoal said, "as long as we can be back before Moose."

"No need to worry", Delphox said, "we'll go for our walk, and be back with time to spare."

"Okay", Torkoal said, "let's do it."

"Excellent", Delphox said, "right this way, you guys."

Delphox led the other Pokémon towards the forest, and soon, they were all traveling down a walking path together looking at their surroundings in wonder.

"You know", Luxray said, "I don't think I've ever really checked out these woods before."

"All the more reason why this was a good idea", Delphox said.

Suddenly, Noivern, who had decided to traverse the woods by flying, swooped down from the sky towards Wailord and flew over him, nearly hitting him in the head.

"Hey", Wailord said, "watch where you're going!"

"Sorry, Wails", Noivern said, "I'm having way too much fun."

Noivern continued flying through the air, and performed a few tricks as he did so.

"Show off", Wailord said.

The group continued on their way, and as Trevenant looked around at the forest, he closed his eye and took a deep breath as he took in as much of the atmosphere as he could, which Torkoal was quick to take note of.

"You must really be enjoying yourself, aren't you", Torkoal said.

"I sure am", Trevenant said, "it reminds me of my days as a Phantump."

Trevenant closed his eyes as he remembered his time in his pre-evolved form of Phantump, and a flashback was shown of him floating around the woods.

"My life in the forest was the best kind of life any Pokémon could ask for", Trevenant narrated, "it was beautiful, I had plenty of friends, and I could always find something good to eat in a tree or bush."

Phantump waved hello to a pair of Zigzagoon and a Hoothoot as he floated past them, then stopped at a tree, which he picked a berry off of and took a bite out of it, then the scene changed back to Trevenant in the presence.

"Don't get me wrong, I enjoy living with Moose and the rest of you guys", Trevenant said, "but it's nice to come back to my roots and return to the forest."

"I see what you mean", Torkoal said, "there's no feeling quite like that of being back home, is there?"

"Indeed not", Trevenant said.

At that moment, Trevenant stopped walking and stepped to the side of the path, and upon noticing him, the other Pokemon stopped as well.

"What are you doing, Trevenant", Delphox said.

"I'm taking a rest", Trevenant asked.

"A rest", Luxray asked.

"Yes", Trevenant said, "to enjoy the beauty nature has to offer us."

Trevenant sunk his legs into the dirt, then took a deep breath as he breathed in the air of the forest.

"I feel like we should try and make the most of our time in these woods and enjoy them as much as we can", Trevenant said, "don't you think so?"

"I guess that doesn't sound too bad", Delphox said, "okay, let's all take a little break before we go any further."

So, the rest of the group joined Trevenant in relaxing by the path, and as they did so, they discovered that the peace and calmness of the forest was actually really nice.

"Man", Luxray said, "Trevenant sure knew what he was talking about."

"You said it", Delphox said, "it feels so nice out here."

"Yeah", Luxray said, "all peaceful, and quiet, and..."

But Luxray was soon interrupted by the sound of Noivern's voice.

"Woo-hoo", Noivern said, "yeah!"

Although the others had decided to take a minute to relax for a bit, Noivern was still flying around the sky doing tricks and having a good time, much to their annoyance.

"Doesn't he ever know when to stop", Wailord asked.

"Clearly not", Torkoal said, "otherwise, this wouldn't be an issue."

Noivern continued to make noises as he kept flying around.

"Wow, Trev", Luxray said, "I'm impressed with how tolerant you're being with Noivern right now."

"Yes, well", Trevenant said, "I'm enjoying this so much, not even Noivern's antics can ruin it for me."

But at that moment, Noivern suddenly lost control and began flying down towards the group.

"Look out", Noivern shouted.

Delphox, Luxray, Torkoal, and Wailord all scrambled to get out of the way, but Trevenant was a little late in doing so, and Noivern ended up crashing into him, causing both of them to crash into a tree.

"Whoops", Noivern said, "sorry, Trevenant."

Trevenant had managed to do a pretty good job of keeping his cool before then, but now, he was pretty mad.

"Why, you", Trevenant said.

Before Trevenant could say anything else, he suddenly heard a buzzing sound.

"Hold on", Trevenant said, "what's that noise?"

Noivern also heard the noise, as did the other Pokémon, who had come back following the crash, and as the noise got louder, they turned around and saw a swarm of angry Beedrill behind them.

"Uh-oh", Trevenant said.

"You have disturbed our hive", a Beedrill said, "now it's time for you to pay!"

"Okay, sure, no problem", Noivern said, "maybe Moose has some money lying around back at the house we can pay you with."

"I don't think that's what he means by pay", Delphox said, "run!"

That's just what the group did, but the Beedrill weren't about to let them get away that easily.

"After them", the Beedrill shouted.

The Beedrill swarm flew after Delphox and the rest of her group, who were all trying as best they could to get away from all the Beedrill.

"Dang it, Noivern", Luxray said, "you can't sit still for just five seconds?"

"Hey, I can't help it", Noivern said, "it's not every day I find myself in a place with this much flying space."

"Well, it probably won't be any day again once those Beedrill get their stingers on us", Torkoal said.

"Hey, cut it out, you guys", Delphox said, "and keep running, or we're all done for."

The group tried to outrun the Beedrill, but no matter how hard they tried, they just couldn't shake them, until eventually, Noivern noticed a dried out river from the sky.

"Guys, this way", Noivern said.

The rest of the group followed Noivern to the dry river, running through some thick bushes and low-hanging tree branches as they did so, which also helped to slow down the Beedrill, and upon arriving at the river, they all jumped into it and took cover there, where they waited as the Beedrill flew over them, not noticing them as they did so, and once they were all gone, the group poked their heads out of the river to make sure that the coast was clear.

"Phew", Delphox said, "I think we lost them."

"Thank Arceus", Luxray said, "for a minute there, I thought we were goners."

"We might still be", Wailord said, "I mean, does anyone know where we are?"

"He's right", Torkoal said, "I think we lost the path when we were being chased by the Beedrill."

"Okay, let's not panic", Delphox said, "I'm sure we can figure this out."

"How", Torkoal asked.

"Well, I'm sure this dried up river goes somewhere", Delphox said, "maybe if we follow it to wherever it goes, we'll find some kind of clue to where we are."

"It's worth a try", Trevenant said, "I mean, it sure beats wandering around aimlessly."

"I'll fly ahead and see if I can find any dangers up ahead", Noivern said.

"Thanks, Noivern", Delphox said, "and keep an eye out for those Beedrill, too."

"Yeah", Luxray said, "we don't want them coming after us for revenge."

"Okay, yeah", Noivern said, "sure thing."

Noivern took to the skies and flew ahead of the group as they made their way down the river, and as they did so, they talked about how their little outing was going so far.

"You know", Torkoal said, "this might sound crazy, but I'm actually having fun out here."

"No might about it", Wailord said, "that is pretty crazy coming from you."

"No, I mean it", Torkoal said, "that chase with the Beedrill was one of the most exciting things that's happened to me in a while."

"I'll admit, I think it was kind of fun too", Luxray said, "kind of reminded me of our days traveling with Moose when he was a trainer."

"Oh, yeah", Delphox said, "we did have our fair share of run-ins with Beedrill, didn't we?"

"Yep", Luxray said, "good times."

"More or less", Trevenant said.

"Well, even so, I'm glad you guys are starting to enjoy yourselves", Delphox said.

"Thanks", Luxray said, "this has been a pretty eventful outing so far."

Just then, Noivern flew back down to the group.

"Noivern, there you are", Delphox said, "did you see anything from up there?"

"Nothing that hints to where we are", Noivern said, "but I saw a dried out lake that's just up ahead."

"A dried out lake", Wailord asked, "that sounds kind of neat."

"It's basically just a big hole in the ground without any water in it", Noivern said, "I don't know how interested you guys are in something like that."

"I guess we can at least give it a quick look", Delphox said, "who knows, it might be more interesting then we think."

"Well, alright", Noivern said, "like I said, it's just straight ahead in the direction you guys were walking."

"Alrighty", Delphox said, "this way, you guys."

The group continued on their way, and soon, they arrived at the dried out lake Noivern was talking about, which was quite big.

"Dang", Trevenant said, "that's one big hole."

"Oh, yeah", Torkoal said, "and just imagine what it was like when it was full of water."

"I'll bet it would have been fun to swim in", Wailord said.

"Maybe", Noivern said, "but like I said, it's just a hole in the ground now."

But while looking at said hole in the ground, Delphox had gotten an idea.

"Actually", Delphox said, "I think we might still be able to have some fun with it."

"How", Luxray asked.

"This empty lake may not be good for swimming anymore", Delphox said, "but it's just the right size for some Pokémon battles."

"Battles", Noivern asked, "now there's something I haven't done in a long time."

"None of us have", Torkoal said, "it's because we've living the pet life for who knows how long."

"Well, maybe this is a good opportunity for us to try and get back into the swing of it", Delphox said, "what do you guys say?"

"I'm game", Luxray said.

"Me too", Noivern said.

"Same", Wailord said.

"Sounds like fun, I guess", Torkoal said.

"Count me in", Trevenant said.

"Great", Delphox said, "so, who wants to come and take me on?"

"I will", Luxray said, "I've been itching to sink my fangs into a bit of battle action."

"Alright, then", Delphox said, "let's do it!"

Delphox and Luxray jumped into the hole and got ready to face off against each other while the others watched from the sidelines.

"Hope you haven't gotten too slow", Luxray said, "it would be pretty disappointing to win against the ace of our team too easily."

"I was gonna say the same thing", Delphox said, "I mean, I wouldn't exactly say you're an ace, but you were still a pretty strong Pokémon."

"Thanks", Luxray said, "and don't worry, I'm sure you'll find that I'm still just as strong as I was back then."

"Same", Delphox said.

Delphox took out her branch, and Luxray gave her an intimidating look as he got into his battle position, and Torkoal, who was acting as a referee of sorts, spoke to them both.

"And begin", Torkoal said.

The battle started with Delphox attacking Luxray with Flamethrower, but Luxray was able to dodge it, and he ran up to Delphox and attacked her with Thunder Fang, which shocked her a bit, but she was able to shake it off.

"Is that it", Luxray asked, "I thought you'd start off stronger than that."

"Oh, don't worry", Delphox said, "I'm only getting warmed up."

Delphox then proceeded to use Will-O-Wisp on Luxray, and the attack successfully hit him, leaving him burned as a result.

"That strong enough for you", Delphox asked.

Luxray was then hurt by his burn.

"Oh, it's on", Luxray said.

Luxray ran towards Delphox and attacked her with Ice Fang, which wasn't very effective on her, seeing as she was a Fire-type Pokémon.

"Seriously", Delphox asked, "like that's gonna do a thing to me."

"Just wait", Luxray said, "you'll see."

Luxray felt pain from his burn again, and Delphox attacked him with another Flamethrower attack, this time hitting him, and he ran up to her and once again attacked her with Ice Fang, and she retaliated again with Flamethrower, and once more after hitting him, he attacked her with Ice Fang again.

"Okay, what is going on", Delphox asked, "are you even trying?"

"Oh, you bet I am", Luxray said, "and any turn now, it's gonna pay off."

He then felt pain from his burn again.

"Sure, Luxray", Delphox said, "whatever you say."

Delphox attacked Luxray once again, this time with Shadow Ball, and Luxray jumped out of its way and attacked her with Ice Fang, which was still just as ineffective as before.

"This is getting exhausting", Delphox said, "you know what, I'm just gonna hurry up and finish this."

But before the could do anything, she suddenly found herself feeling a bit stiff.

"Huh", Delphox asked, "what's going on?"

She looked and saw that some ice had formed on parts of her body, which could only mean one thing.

"I'm frozen", Delphox said.

Luxray, whose burn had just gone away, looked at Delphox smugly.

"See", Luxray asked, "I knew what I was doing."

"Well played", Delphox said, "and here I thought you were holding back."

"Are you kidding", Luxray asked, "I never hold back, even against you."

"Glad to hear", Delphox said, "but don't get cocky, because the battle's not over yet."

"You're right, it's not", Luxray said, "but it's about to be."

Luxray attacked Delphox with Crunch, which was super effective on her, as she was part Psychic-Type, but because she was frozen, she couldn't move to attack Luxray, so he followed up with Wild Charge, which did a good amount of damage to her, and also a bit to him, due to the recoil.

"Well", Luxray said, "I'd say this battle is just about over, wouldn't you?"

Luxray didn't realize that his previous Wild Charge had caused the ice on Delphox's body to melt a little bit, and with a little help from the natural heat coming from her body, it all melted away, finally unfreezing her.

"Oh, it definitely is", Delphox said, "but not for me."

"Back from the ice age, I see", Luxray said, "well, frozen or not, I can still beat you."

"We'll see about that", Delphox said.

Delphox proceeded to attack Luxray with Flamethrower, which was extra powerful due to Delphox's ability, Blaze, being activated by all the damage she had taken previously.

"I forgot about Del's ability", Luxray said, "well, guess I'm gonna have to pull out all the stops if I want to beat her."

Luxray ran towards Delphox and tried to attack her with Crunch, but she managed to jump out of his way.

"Now let's wrap this up", Delphox said.

She then attacked Luxray with Mystical Fire, which made direct contact with him and caused the hole to fill with smoke, prompting the rest of the group to shield their eyes, and once the smoke cleared, Delphox and Luxray were staring each other down, both of them feeling very exhausted and not saying a word, until Luxray grunted in pain before saying something to Delphox.

"Well played", Luxray said.

And with that, Luxray fainted, with swirls appearing in his eyes.

"Luxray is unable to battle", Torkoal said, "Delphox wins!"

Delphox walked over to Luxray and helped him back to his feet.

"I gotta admit, Lux", Delphox said, "for a while, your strategy was pretty clever."

"Thanks", Luxray said.

The two then began walking out of the lake to join the others, continuing to talk as they did so.

"I will say that you sure gave me a run for my money too", Luxray said, "I think that burn you gave me early in the battle was what wore me down enough so you could finish me in the end."

"You weren't the only one who knew what they were doing", Delphox said.

"Yeah, well, if we ever have another battle, I'll come out on top for sure", Luxray said.

"We'll see about that", Delphox said.

The two Pokémon walked over to where the others had been watching the battle from, and were met with applause from them.

"Wow", Wailord said, "that was amazing."

"I'll say", Trevenant said, "you two really went all out there."

"Yeah, well, it felt nice battling again after such a long time", Luxray said.

"Oh, I'm sure it did", Torkoal said.

"So, who wants to battle next while me and Luxray get some rest", Delphox asked.

"I do", Noivern said, "after seeing you two in action, I can't help but feel pumped up for a battle."

"In that case, I'll be your opponent", Trevenant said, "I've still got a score to settle with you for crashing into me back there."

"Oh, it's on", Noivern said.

Noivern and Trevenant went down into the lake and entered their battle stances, and Torkoal once again played the role of referee.

"And begin", Torkoal said.

Noivern and Trevenant began their battle in earnest, with Noivern attacking Trevenant with Air Slash and Trevenant following up with Shadow Claw, and after their battle was over, the other Pokémon all took turns going up against one another in battle and enjoying themselves immensely as they did so, and after a while, they were walking through the woods again recounting all of the battles they had partaken in.

"Man", Trevenant said, "I don't know about you guys, but that was lots of fun."

"Easy for you to say", Noivern said, "you won our battle."

"Just goes to show that type advantages aren't everything", Trevenant said.

"Neither is winning", Delphox said, "I mean, I lost to Wailord when we battled, but I still had fun."

"But then you rebounded when you went up against Trevenant", Wailord said, "granted, the type advantage was a major factor in that battle, but still."

"And what did you guys think of mine and Delphox's rematch", Luxray asked, "I sure mopped the floor with her, didn't I?"

"Yeah, I guess so", Delphox said, "but then Torkoal mopped the floor with you when you went to battle him."

Torkoal looked at Luxray with a smug look on his face, making the latter feel a bit embarrassed, and the group continued on their way, still feeling happy.

"Man", Wailord said, "this sure has been a fun day."

"You said it", Delphox said, "I'm only sorry it's almost over."

"Yeah", Noivern said, "it's getting late, and Moose'll probably be heading home soon."

"He'll be worried sick if he gets there and finds out we're not there", Torkoal said.

"You're right", Delphox said, "I guess we better hurry on home, then."

The group then fell silent as they realized something.

"Which way is home again", Delphox asked.

The others tried to remember the way back to Moose's house, but none of them could recall it.

"Delphox", Luxray said, "I think we have a problem."

"I'll say", Wailord said, "a problem as big as other members of my species."

"What are we gonna do", Trevenant asked, "it's getting late, and we have no idea how to get back home."

"Okay, let's not panic, we can figure this out", Delphox said, "Noivern, can you fly up past the trees and see if you can see Moose's house from up in there?"

"Sure, no problem", Noivern said, "I'll be back in a flash."

Noivern flapped his wings and flew into the sky, but when he tried to fly past all of the trees, he found it difficult to get through them, mainly due to his large size, and after failing to get past them, he flew back down to the group.

"Never mind, problem", Noivern said, "these trees are too difficult for me to get through."

"Now what are we gonna do", Wailord asked.

"Relax you guys, everything's gonna be just fine", Delphox said, "I'm sure we'll find a way out of here."

"How", Torkoal asked.

"Well, this path we're on has to lead to somewhere", Delphox said, "maybe it'll lead us out of these woods."

"Well, we don't really have many other options", Luxray said, "okay, let's give it a try."

"Excellent", Delphox said, "this way, everyone."

So, Delphox led the group down the path and through the woods, and as they walked along, they talked about how their day was going so far.

"Not gonna lie, this day's been full of ups and downs", Luxray said, "we leave the house for a nice walk through the woods, and during that time, we got chased by a bunch of Beedrill, then stopped to do some battles, and now, here we are, lost and trying to figure out where the exit to this place is."

"I've actually enjoyed it", Torkoal said, "I mean, this is the most fun I've had in a while."

"It definitely beats sitting around the house all day, that's for sure", Noivern said.

"I never said it wasn't fun", Luxray said, "I mean, you guys are right, this has been a pretty exciting day."

"You bet", Wailord said, "we should have thought of doing this ages ago."

"I'll admit, the idea crossed my mind a few times", Delphox said, "but I wasn't sure if it was a good one or not."

"I think it turned out pretty well", Trevenant said.

"You do", Delphox said.

"Of course", Trevenant said, "I mean, sure, we hit a few bumps in the road, but aside from that, our little outing's turned out to be pretty memorable."

"He's right", Luxray said, "and we owe it all to you, Del."

"Thanks, you guys", Delphox said.

The group continued on their way down the path, and Noivern noticed something rather familiar up ahead.

"Um, guys", Noivern said, "I think we might have hit another bump in the road."

"What do you mean", Delphox asked.

"Look up ahead", Noivern said.

The group followed Noivern, then stopped in front of the same dried out lake that they had battled in previously.

"Are you kidding me", Luxray asked.

"We just went in a great big circle", Trevenant said.

"Oops", Delphox said, "I guess my plan had a few holes, didn't it?"

"Oh, great", Noivern said, "now what do we do?"

"Okay, so trying to find our way out of here ourselves didn't work", Delphox said, "maybe there's someone we can ask directions from."

"Oh, fine, who do you want to ask, the hole", Noivern asked, "there's nobody here!"

"I'm sure we're not the only Pokémon around here", Delphox said, "this is a forest, after all."

"Yeah, but I'm not seeing any other Pokémon anywhere", Luxray said.

"Just keep your eyes open", Delphox said, "I'm sure we'll find someone who can help us."

Delphox and the rest of the group looked around the forest for any other Pokémon that might be around, but couldn't find any anywhere, but as Trevenant looked around, he heard a rustling sound coming from some bushes.

"Hey, there's something over there", Trevenant said.

He pointed to the bushes the rustling sound was coming from, and the others looked at it.

"I don't know, Trev", Luxray said, "how do we know there's not a dangerous Pokémon in there?"

"Oh, we can take it", Noivern said, "after all, we just spent a long time honing our battle skills."

"Yes we did", Torkoal said, "and I'm exhausted after all of that."

"Me too", Wailord said, "I think I'm all battled out for one day."

"Well, what do you guys think we should do", Trevenant asked.

"Knock it off, you guys", Delphox said, "look, at this point, our best bet is to give this a try and hope that whatever Pokémon is in those bushes is a helpful one."

"Your funeral", Noivern said.

Delphox shot Noivern an annoyed look and carefully approached the bush.

"Um, excuse me", Delphox said, "hi, yes, me and my friends here are kind of lost right now, so if you could point us into the direction that'll lead us out of these woods, we'd really appreciate it."

But there was no response.

"Hello", Delphox asked, "is there anyone in there?"

Delphox moved closer to the bushes to take a look, and then, to hers and everyone else's shock and horror, a bunch of the same Beedrill they had previously encountered came out of it.

"Well, well, look who it is", the same Beedrill from before said, "it's the same six Pokémon who disturbed our hive."

"Oh", Delphox said, "you remember that."

"Look, we're really sorry about that", Trevenant said, "just give us the directions to get us out of this forest, and we promise never to disturb you again."

"Oh, you're getting out of here, alright", the Beedrill said.

"But not alive", another Beedrill said.

Delphox and the others all gulped as their eyes went wide in horror.

"Attack", the first Beedrill said.

The Beedrill flew towards the group, with more joining them, and pretty soon, yet another chase was taking place.

"Oh, man", Noivern said, "not this again."

"What is wrong with these Bug-types", Luxray asked, "can't they just learn to forgive and forget?"

"Beedrill aren't usually the type to let go of their grudges", Torkoal said.

"Talk about petty", Wailord said.

"Less talking, more running", Delphox said.

Delphox and the others ran as fast as they could to escape the Beedrill, but they couldn't get away from them, but eventually, Delphox noticed some heavy vegetation nearby.

"Guys, this way", Delphox said.

Delphox led the group towards the vegetation, and they all ran through it, with the Beedrill being unable to follow them because of how thick it was, and inside, the group was pushing and struggling their way through all the plants trying to find the way out.

"Great", Noivern said, "that's one problem down, and one new one to go."

"Keep moving", Delphox said, "I think we're almost out of here."

Delphox was right, because soon, she and the others made it out of the plants and landed in a patch of grass.

"That was way more plant life than what I'm used to", Trevenant said.

"No kidding", Wailord said, "where are we, anyways?"

The six Pokémon all stood up to see where they were and found that they were in a suburban neighborhood.

"Guys", Delphox said, "I think we're back in the neighborhood."

"Oh, thank goodness", Luxray said, "I thought we were gonna be stuck in that forest forever."

"I guess those Beedrill helped us get out of here after all", Trevenant said.

"Yeah", Noivern said, "by sending us running for our lives."

Torkoal then looked at the sky and noticed that the sun was starting to set.

"Uh, guys", Torkoal said, "the sun's starting to go down."

"Oh, shoot", Delphox said, "we have to get home before Moose does."

"How are we gonna do that", Luxray asked.

"We need to figure out where the house is", Delphox said, "Noivern, can you fly up and..."

"Way ahead of you", Noivern said.

Noivern flew up into the air and looked around for Moose's house, and after flying around for a minute, he spotted it and flew back to the others.

"I saw our house", Noivern said, "it's right down this road."

"Great work, Noivern", Delphox said, "now, lead the way."

Delphox and the rest of the group followed Noivern down the road, and elsewhere, Moose was in his car stopped at a railroad crossing while a train went by, waiting impatiently as it did so, but soon, the last few freight cars rolled past the crossing and the gates went up.

"Finally", Moose said.

He then drove his car through the crossing and began making his way towards his neighborhood.

"I can't wait to see my Pokémon", Moose said, "I hope their day wasn't too dull without me."

Back in the neighborhood, Moose's Pokémon were rushing to get to Moose's house, running through yards and jumping over fences, and when they ran through one yard, they crashed into a laundry line.

"Who dries laundry like that any more", Luxray asked, "hasn't that person ever heard of a dryer?"

A bra had come off the laundry line when Luxray crashed into it and got stuck to his chest, and upon noticing it, the others laughed, prompting Luxray to annoyedly grab the bra with his teeth and toss it behind him.

"We're almost there", Noivern said, "just a little further."

The group ran through a few more yards, until eventually, they found themselves back in Moose's backyard.

"Yes", Noivern said, "we made it!"

They then heard the sound of tires pulling into the driveway.

"And not a moment too soon", Delphox said, "everyone inside, quick!"

The six Pokémon hurried inside the house, and as Moose unlocked the front door and opened it up, he looked to find his six Pokémon lying around in the living room seemingly fast asleep.

"Ah, look at them", Moose said, "all six of my Pokémon sleeping peacefully together."

He closed the front door, and after locking it back, he went down the hall to his room.

"I think I'll leave them alone for now", Moose said, "I'd hate to wake them up."

Once Moose was out of sight, the Pokémon, who had only been pretending to sleep, stopped pretending and spoke to each other.

"Well, guys", Delphox said, "I think we did it."

"Yep", Wailord said, "I can't believe we actually pulled this off."

"Moose thinks we just hung around the house doing nothing but take naps and stuff", Noivern said, "boy, if he only knew what we actually did."

"I'd rather he not found out about it", Delphox said, "so, if it's all the same to you guys, I think we better just keep this to ourselves."

"That won't be too hard, considering he can't understand us", Torkoal said.

"Still, I'd rather this be our little secret", Delphox said.

"No problem", Luxray said, "the secret dies with us."

"Glad to hear", Delphox said.

She then stretched her arms and let out a yawn.

"You know", Delphox said, "after all that running around and stuff, I wouldn't mind taking a nap for real."

"Not a bad idea", Trevenant said, "I'm feeling pretty worn out myself."

"Same", Luxray said, "yeah, we had quite the day, didn't we?"

"We sure did", Delphox said, "and who knows, maybe tomorrow will be just as exciting."

"I sure hope so", Torkoal said, "though, can we maybe find something fun to do around the house?"

"No problem", Delphox said, "we're probably gonna wanna stay out of those woods for a while with those Beedrill still mad at us."

"Oh, yeah", Torkoal said.

"Yep", Luxray said.

"For sure", Trevenant said.

"No argument", Noivern said.

"Here here", Wailord said.

"Well, goodnight, you guys", Delphox said.

Delphox lied down on the floor and went to sleep, and the others joined her not long after, all of them feeling both tired after everything that had transpired throughout the day, and excited for what the following day might have in store for them.
