Chapter 1 Future Days To Come
On top of a tall building in the city the night sky turned to black but still lit by the city's light, we see a figure back atop his head was a traditional Japanese straw hat, often referred to as a "kasa." Its wide, circular brim is crafted from interwoven straw, providing both shade and protection. This particular hat is battle-worn, with significant damage evident in the form of a large hole. Through this hole, only one eye of the wearer is visible showing a singular blue eye and poking out was a tuff of dark blue hair. The rest of the hat's design includes a slightly pointed top with a small knob or protrusion, maintaining the traditional look despite its battle scars.
Aside from that he was clocked in shadow, it looked down at the city seeing fire, violence, contempt, and pain, strange black shadows in the form of humans tearing each other apart. Suddenly three other shadow clad figures appeared beside the first looking back saying coldly "Wake up." Suddenly gasping and sitting up was fern green colored anthropomorphic mutant turtle ninja warrior. His eyes have cobalt blue irises with black pupils. This Teenage Mutant Turtle was Leo, he was wearing his typical blue bandana. He was breathing heavily while sweating sitting on a bed in a cozy room. The room was illuminated by a lamp on a bedside table, casting a warm glow over the scene.
On the wall behind the bed, there is a mural or painting of a tree, adding a serene and natural element to the room's decor. To the right, a dresser or shelving unit is visible with a few items on it, including what appears to be a collection of ninja weapons such as swords, which are mounted on the wall. The time was "5:03 P.M." Leo's breathing calmed and his sweating stopped. This dream he just experienced had been plaguing him for the past week, always it was the Jetstreme figure and the burning city haunting his rest.
Saying nothing he got up going over to his dresser grabbed his bandana putting it on as he left his room. 10:20 A.M "Yawn, morning" a tiered Raph greeted his brother's Michelangelo and Donatello who were sitting in front of a tv "Morning sleeping beauty you get a prince to kiss you?" Michelangelo teases to which Raph silently flipped him off. This was the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' lair, hidden deep within the sewers of New York City, is a unique and intriguing hideout that blends practicality with comfort. At its heart is a spacious central living area filled with repurposed furniture, including a couch, chairs, a coffee table, and a large TV for entertainment.
The makeshift kitchen is stocked with basic appliances and usually cluttered with pizza boxes and food items, reflecting the Turtles' love for pizza. A dedicated training area is equipped with various weapons, training dummies, and mats for martial arts practice. Each Turtle has a personal space decorated to reflect their unique personalities. Such as Donatello's tech-filled workshop and Michelangelo's collection of comic books and skateboards. Master Splinter's meditation area, adorned with candles and incense, offers a serene space for training and reflection. The lair's industrial and urban aesthetic features exposed brick, pipes, and concrete, with dim, moody lighting provided by fluorescent lights, makeshift lamps, and neon signs.
The eclectic decorations include graffiti, posters, and various found or created items, combining modern and retro influences. Hidden entrances and security measures protect their home, creating a cozy yet high-tech sanctuary where the Turtles can relax, train, and plan their missions away from the city's dangers. Going to the kitchen Raph asked while opening a fridge "where's Leo at?" Donnie was the one to reply saying off handedly "where do you think he is? He's in the dojo training." pulling out a cold pizza box Raph scoffed saying "cours he is… anyway whats on?" Raph asked, sitting down next to the pair, Mikey gleaned, saying ecstatically "oh nothing but the ultimate Crognard the Barbarian!"
To Mikey's late morning excitement Raph bopped him atop his head while saying "calm down it's early." looking at the over exaggerating Mikey holding his head and the violent Raph, Donnie Rolled his eyes ignoring the two and their antics. In the dojo we see a profusely sweating Leo swing a wooden sword "ah my ever diligent son!" a smiling master splinter wearing his mahogany colored kimono male said, appearing behind Leo who straightened up, turning to his father and bowing forward slightly and greeting him while out of breath "sensei, good morning!" Master splinter looked at his disheveled son and gave one of his wise words saying
"Training is the forge that tempers the steel of our spirit, but remember, even the strongest blade can shatter if it is overworked and never given time to cool." while stroking the edge of his chin wisely, Leo replied respectfully, not truly heeding his fathers advice "yes sensei, i understand." Splinter internally sighing said "good now go get some breakfast." Leo nodded, putting his wooden sword in a bin filled with the Jetstreme and along with other wooden weapons, as he left and made his way into the main area. Going to sit next to his brothers "good morning trainholic." Raph said as Leo sat down in reply Leo rolled his eyes saying "yeah yeah, it would hurt you to train more sleepaholic."
Raph just waved him off saying "eh fu-" he was cut off when master splinter bopped him on the head with his cane, while glaring at Raph he said "Raphael, my boy as long as you're under my roof profanity is unacceptable." Raph rubbed his head in pain while Mikey laughed saying "Ha ha ha, I think you mean sewer!" everyone along with Master splinter rolled their eyes "ehhh, You making fun of me!" Raph yelled while putting Mikey in a headlock, in turn splinter clapped while saying "ah executed masterful Raphale." Some time later at night the sky gleamed from the city's light pollution, hopping from roof to roof dancing in the night less like turtles and more like monkeys were Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphale their eyes cloaked white.
While running on a roof Mikey stopped seeing a window across from the roof glowing a Green and strang black light. The rest of the group stopped as well seeing what Mikey saw Leo put his left hand up and thumb to his forefinger crossed by his middle finger then closing his hands into a fist. Blurring away they infiltrated the building making their way to the raters in the dimly lit, decrepit apartment, the air hangs heavy with the scent of rust and neglect. The walls are peeling and stained, revealing patches of grimy concrete beneath Mickey clutching his nose. The once-finished floor is now littered with discarded papers, broken equipment, and empty, dusty containers.
The only light sources are the flickering, fluorescent bulbs hanging from the ceiling and the occasional sparks from malfunctioning electrical wiring. In the center of the room, a makeshift laboratory has been hastily assembled. A large, battered dashboard is cluttered with tangled wires, haphazardly soldered connections, and a chaotic assortment of test tubes and beakers. The dashboard's screen flickers erratically, displaying a jumble of code and digital readouts. Around it, a few disheveled scientists, their lab coats stained and frayed, work with frantic urgency. Their faces are etched with weariness and obsession, each sporting unkempt hair and smudged goggles. They hunch over their tasks, mumbling in technical jargon as they adjust knobs and input data.
In front of them, a large vat contains a swirling, black liquid that pulses with an eerie, dark glow. The liquid bubbles and churns ominously, sending occasional ripples across its surface. Beside it, a trio of robots patrol the perimeter. Their bodies are a metallic silver, dented and scratched from years of use, with a sleek, almost futuristic design that contrasts starkly with the ruinous surroundings. Their stomachs are transparent, inside which glow a pulsating pink brain-like creature with small eyes and jagged teeth, casting an unsettling, otherworldly light on the walls. These robotic sentinels move with mechanical their glowing eyes scanning the room with an almost sentient awareness.
The atmosphere is tense, filled with the low hum of machinery, the occasional clink of metal, and the muffled conversations of the scientists. The room feels like a hidden, forgotten corner of a larger, darker conspiracy, where the boundaries between science and madness blur in the pursuit of unknown goals. Loe takes in his time and servales the area then putting his hand up clenching it into a fist and pumped it up and down
The tense silences of the rundown apartment is suddenly pierced when Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Raphael burst into the room, landing with precision amidst the chaos. Their sudden entry startles the scientists, who scramble in panic, their attempts to salvage their work overshadowed by the arrival of the Turtles. Leonardo, with his katanas drawn, slices through the first robot with fluid, practiced movements, the metallic limbs clattering to the ground. Raphael, his sais flashing, engages the second robot in a fierce melee, dismantling its defenses with brute force. Donatello's bo staff whirls and strikes, taking down the third robot with a calculated sweep. The robots, once vigilant sentinels, are quickly reduced to piles of sparking scrap metal.
Amid the fray, the scientists' focus shifts to saving their precious experiment. One scientist, clutching a vial of the ominous black mutagen, makes a desperate bid for escape. As the Turtles dismantle the robots, Michelangelo leaps over one of the fallen automatons, his nunchucks spinning. He lands with a deft roll and catches sight of the fleeing scientist.
"I got it!" Mikey yells with a mix of excitement and determination, sprinting after the scientist. He races through the wreckage-strewn apartment and bursts onto the street outside in front of the apartment. The scientist, in a frantic attempt to escape, stumbles through the debris-filled alley, but Mikey is relentless. With a swift kick, Michelangelo knocks the scientist to the ground and the vile drops on the ground unshattered Mikey stands over the defeated scientist, who scrambles away in panic, leaving the area. The Turtles regroup, Raph and Donnie meet up with him. Donnie picks up the vial saying "Mikey what's this?" Raph and Mikey looked at the vial, giving off a slight feeling of uneasiness.
"Don't Know but whatever it is the guy seemed to need it pretty bad" Mikey said while surging Donnie then remarked "the color is extremely strange i wonder why it's black", Raph looked around then asking "yo donnie where the hell is leo?" Donnie then looked around as well saying "hu? I thought he was right behind us?" Mikey then began to look as well until "Crash!" they looked to the apartment complex seeing leo jump out a window from the ninth floor, as they looked on at Leo their eyes widened "Boom!" from the apartment was a massive explosion the ecopass Leo and the entire building
"Leo!"
"Leo!"
"Leo!"
They all Screamed in worry and before they could run into the forming cloud of ash Leo fell out and in front of them. Raph was the first to move rushing toward Leo followed by Mikey and Donnie, Leo's eyes were closed and he tried to stand only managing to rest on one knee. As Raph got to him asking "Leo you alright!?" lifting his head Raph saw two wounds going down from his eyes in a crescent shape going down from his eyes parallel to each other. "That you Raph, if you must know i can't see a thing." Leo's voice trembled as he spoke, each word laced with pain from the explosion. His once sturdy frame was now battered, and the sight of his injuries made Mikey's face pale. "Aw, man, that looks bad!" Mikey muttered, unable to hide his concern.
"Mikey, now's not the time!" Raph snapped, frustration evident in his tone. Meanwhile, Donnie was in a frenzy, searching for a solution. His eyes locked onto a sewer grate, and he hurried over to it, prying it open with a swift motion. "Raph, Mikey, this way! We need to get back to Master Splinter ASAP!" he shouted. Raph and Mikey quickly moved into action, carefully lifting Leo and supporting him as he leaned heavily on them. They maneuvered through the dark, tight passages, their pace quickening as they made their way back to the safety of their lair, determined to get Leo the help he desperately needed.
Hours later in the lair Mikey was anxiously eating a bowl of ice cream, Raph frustratedly punching a sandbag in the shape of a battered classic looking ninja and Donnie fiddled with the vial. "YOO!" crashing in was a thin teenager with black, medium-length hair and the two front teeth and left lateral incisor of his upper jaw are missing, which he explains were accidentally knocked out by what was then his best friend. His outfit consists of a black bandanna tied around his head, a messy, maroon elbow-length shirt with a short-sleeve gray shirt and a sleeveless black hoodie over it, grayish-blue jeans, black finger gloves that stop at the forearms, and black sneakers.
The turtles didn't react to his entrance and he asked "waa, what's ua up its pretty gloomy in here-" he was cut off when a slim girl pretty-looking, fair-skinned teenager with freckles on her face, ocean-blue eyes, long yet thin lashes and shoulder-length, ginger hair kept in a small ponytail with right-sided curved bangs wearing both a yellow headband and a yellow sports shirt - the shirt itself sporting multiple white stripes and the number "5" printed on the front, which is also colored white. Her shirt is also worn over her mid-quarter-sleeved navy-black shirt. She wears matching navy-black leggings which are worn under a set of blue denim short-shorts, which includes a noticeable patch on the right back pocket of her shorts that hit his shoulder.
"Ah! What the heck April!?" the teen said to which April replied saying "Cassy can't you read the room it's obvious something happened!" Raph hits the bag hard, sending it flying, making Cassy and April flinch "Raph calm down, the bag didn't do anything." Donnie spoke to the irritated Raph who replied "I KNOW!, …inhaaal…Haaaaaah… I know." Mikey then came in saying "Leo got hurt pretty bad tonight he's in the dojo with master splinter." April and Cassy nodded Cassy then spoke up saying "well then let's go check on em!"
"Yeah I'm sure he's doing alright by now." Donnie said to Raph trying to calm him down. Inside the dojo Master splinter and Leo were sitting across from each other Leo taking off a bandage over his eyes then blinking them looking at his face you could see the wounds turned to wide scars across his face. "Ah my boy Scars are not just marks left by battles fought; they are the badges of resilience. Each one is a testament to our strength, a reminder that we've faced adversity and emerged stronger for it And It seems you are alright my son, i Thank the ooze that gave birth to you and your brothers."
Leo bowed and was going to say something when he was interrupted "eww, that's a horrible image to imagine!" Leo looked over at the shoji door and saw it cracked open seeing a glimpse of his brothers along with Cassy and April. "Dang it Cassy!" The door then opened all the way revealing Mikey sitting in front of the door, Raph leaning against the door hiding his face in embarrassment at being caught, Donnie standing above Mikey along with Cassy and April. Mikey's eyes sparkle while he says "wow dude now you look epic as hell!" April commented "Language" While nodding toward Splinter.
As the group settled around the dining table, the mood was light and filled with laughter. Master Splinter watched with a mix of pride and amusement as the turtles and their friends dug into the pizza. Mikey, ever the prankster, tried to sneak a slice of Ralph's pizza while Raph was distracted. The moment Mikey's hand reached for the slice, Raph's sharp eyes caught him in the act. "Hey, what do you think you're doing?" Raph growled, but before Mikey could respond, Master Splinter gave him a gentle yet firm tap on the head with his chopsticks. Mikey's face turned into a pout, but he couldn't hide his smile. Casey, on the other hand, roared with laughter, almost falling off his chair at the sight.
Leonardo and Donatello, in their usual competitive spirit, decided to turn the pizza party into a game of "catch the slice." Donnie, with his quick reflexes, managed to catch a slice mid-air, which earned him a playful cheer from Leo. The two brothers continued their impromptu game, tossing pizza slices back and forth as if they were professional athletes. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and soon even April and Casey joined in, tossing slices and cheering them on. The dining room was filled with laughter and playful banter, a welcome distraction from their usual serious missions.
Master Splinter's heart swelled with affection as he observed his family. Though they often bickered and got into mischief, these moments of togetherness reminded him of the importance of their bond. He marveled at how the turtles had grown, not just in skill but in character. Each of them had their unique strengths and quirks, but together they formed a formidable team. As he watched them, he couldn't help but think about their future and the challenges they would face. Despite their playful antics, he knew that they were ready for whatever came their way, as long as they had each other.
As the evening wore on, the pizza was devoured, and the laughter slowly subsided into comfortable conversation. Master Splinter gathered his children and their friends around, reminding them of the importance of their roles and the path they each needed to follow. "Remember," he said with a gentle smile, "though we may have our differences, we are united in our purpose. Each of you has your own journey, but I hope they remember together, we are stronger." The turtles nodded in agreement, their playful energy replaced with a renewed sense of responsibility. As they finished their meal, the room was filled with a sense of contentment and unity, ready to face whatever challenges lay ahead.
