"So, that's where it is. Zeno, keep an eye on her. We'll go and investigate." Asimov informed as he left with a brown haired woman.
"Come on! I thought Takefutsu was the best candidate for the Azure Striker by far!" Naomi hollered.
Asimov certainly didn't predict that kind of reaction. Asimov turned around and walked back to where Naomi was smirking slyly, still tied to the chair.
"If you read that file then you should know that those test for probability factors are nothing more than mere assumptions." Asimov debated.
"How else would I have known it was you if I didn't read the file? The visor, Septima and hatred towards humans are all the same as those described in the data." Naomi smirked.
Asimov scowled.
"He didn't want to do it you know. He'd been wanting to quit working under the Sumeragi for years. He said the only thing stopping him was the top brass. Now it seems like death was a last resort." Naomi mumbled.
"It was a blessing compared to working for them." Asimov remarked.
That's when Naomi finally decided to reveal her status as a Primal Dragon. She teleported, burned the rope and bent the chair into a metal ball before throwing it.
"Wha-h-how the heck did ya just use three Septimas at once!?" Zeno gasped.
"That's not for you to know." Naomi denied.
"Do you want to put a stop to the Sumeragi?" Asimov asked.
"There's no other company to work for. Pharmaceutical companies, biochemical plants, all of it has a connection to the Sumeragi in some way or another." Naomi doubted.
"Not my company. We're an anti-Sumeragi fighting force for Adept rights." Asimov elaborated.
"I'd love to join you, I really do want to believe a company like that exists. But, for all I know, the Sumeragi probably paid you to say that." Naomi protested.
"They didn't pay me to say anything. I can assure you with the utmost certainty that my company has noting to do with them." Asimov assured.
"If that's true, then I want to join too!" Naomi begged.
Asimov nodded.
"Very well, you are now officially a member of QUILL." Asimov stated.
"What's that?" Naomi whispered to Gino.
"It's a acronym for the quorum for unrestricted information, law and liberty." Zeno elucidated.
"When do I start?" Naomi questioned.
"Today. We need you to obtain access to the Sumeragi's Muse and destroy her." Asimov declared.
*End Flashback*
Naomi gained her individuality that day. As well as courage, strength, determination, enthusiasm, inspiration and hope. She felt that freedom was witin reach. For once, Naomi felt like she finally belonged.
But after she rejoined the Sumeragi for her most recent mission, she felt lost, dazed, confused and hopeless. She went home, ate, took a shower, changed into her pajamas, laid on her bed and sighed. Mytyl knocked on Naomi's bedroom door. Naomi didn't expect anything from Mytyl other than her asking to play Celestial Concord.
"Why did you work for the Sumeragi sis?" Mytyl questioned.
"Huh? What're you talking about? I never worked for the Sumeragi." Naomi mumbled as she sat up.
"But, Copen told me. He swore he'd never lie to me either." Mytyl whimpered.
Naomi told Mytyl to stay in her room while she went to search for her trouble making younger brother. She found him talking with Nori as he made adjustments to his gun.
"You. What, the heck, have you done, to, my sister?" Naomi snarled.
Copen raised his right eyebrow in befuddlement.
"I don't understand." Copen stated.
Naomi sighed as she closed her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose.
"You know what you did! You traumatized the poor thing! I'm telling mom!" Naomi yelled as Nori barely dodged Naomi running upstairs.
Naomi slammed the door open and was panting as Copen jogged upstairs behind her.
"Copen made Mytyl sad!" Naomi reported as she pointed at her brother.
Copen was frozen. Not in fear, but shock. Second to Lola, Naomi was the most trustworthy person he knew. At least, that's what he thought anyways. When it was his turn to talk, Copen couldn't form any words.
"You lied once before Copen. I wouldn't try doing that again if I were you." Nori cautioned.
"What did he say?" Naomi's mother asked.
"He told Mytyl that I'm working for the Sumeragi." Naomi explained.
Her mother's face paled at those words.
"I heard that you were. But I was hoping it was nothing more than a false rumor." Naomi's mother sighed.
Naomi could only bend her head down in shame.
"My boss said he needed inside info with real time updates. Nova has both Azure Striker and Psychokinesis. And the Sumeragi's been up to some extra shady business lately. We don't know what they're up to but we need to figure it out." Naomi elaborated.
Naomi's mother motioned for Naomi to sit next to her. However, Naomi soon found herself flushed and embarrased on her mother's lap. Squirming to get free, Naomi was embraced in a tight hug.
"Nori, please do something... I'm begging you." Naomi complained.
"I'll be discussing reprocussions with Copen if you need anything." Nori answered.
"But I'm requesting assistance right now." Naomi huffed.
"You should've done that before going with Asimov's idea. I could've helped you figure out a better plan." Nori refuted before silently signaling for Copen to exit the room by putting her hand on his left shoulder.
Naomi wished she could teleport herself to anywhere else in the world at that very moment. Even though she was already dead, Naomi felt like she could pass away from embarassment at any moment.
