"Hello?" Naomi greeted.

"Naomi, it's GV. We're busting you out tonight." Gunvolt informed.

"You what? Are you insane!? There's no way you can do that without risking your life! I know you're used to that though. And it definitely has ta sound wird coming from a person who doesn't have a life to live." Naomi droned.

"We don't have any other choice. It's either we set you free and everyone's happy or you continue suffering and we suffer too." Gunvolt protested.

"But, look, I'm gonna send you a text message explaining why I can't go back." Naomi refuted as she ended the call and texted Gunvolt.

The Sumeragi implanted a tracking chip under the right side of my collarbone. If I go anywhere near QUILL, it'll spell doom for all members across the globe.

We can hook your phone and watch up to the server or use the VPN.

Merak's hacking skills are better than they seem. He'll be able to find you in a fraction of a second.

You can use Lola for location masking right? Why don't you try that?

It would need to be constant. If my location is revealed for even a millisecond and I don't know about it so I can move, it's game over.

Can't you use your Muse Septima to throw them off?

That's not how it works; ask Lumen or Joule. You do make a good point though. I can use my Azure Striker to mask my location while Lola's charging. Wait, no, that won't do either. Since I'd be using my Azure Striker and my Muse was put in Lola so they'd use those to track me too. Curse them and their stupid Septima tracking tech.

Well it was worth a try right?

That's what you think. What I think is that we need a definite answer.

Um, we've got a problem.

What is it?

The wiretapping device at Firmament isn't giving off a signal anymore. Did you remove it, go near it, turn it off or something?

No, I'm in the hallway right now. Why, is something-uh oh. Hide me quick!

Do you know what happened?

I think I know who did it, and they aren't gonna be happy with me later.

Who is it?

N-Nova.

What!? Naomi, you can't be serious! Please tell me you aren't serious!?

I'm tellin' ya you can't make up this kinda stuff.

Well I'm going check on Joule. Can you let me know what happens when you're done talking to Nova?

Can you get Lumen to listen in? That way she can revive me if things go too far?

Sure.

Naomi turned her phone off and began to contemplate her options.

'Of course! The good ol' plausible deniability act! Why didn't I think of that before!?'

There was a sudden knock on the doorway, frightening Naomi out of her thoughts. She turned around and saw it was the same Sumerai soldier from before.

"Nova requests your audience." The soldier notified.

Naomi nodded and followed the soldier to where Nova was.

"Oh, there you are. I found this attached to the wires underneath the computer. It seems I was right after all. That you still are working with QUILL." Nova noticed.

"I didn't put that there. I swear on my fathers senior admin ID. Besides, plausible deniability remember?" Naomi reminded.

"What's your alibi then?" Nova wondered.

Naomi remained silent.

She knew Nova certainly wouldn't believe her. Especially when she was being so quiet.

'I'm gettin' pretty tired of bein' told to put my hands up in the air. Better make this a good one.' Naomi mentally rambled.

"I only come in this room when we need to talk. At any other time I avoid it. You can check the camera feed from the day I returned to now since you don't believe me." Naomi answered.

"Are you certain that this device wasn't implanted when you first started working for the Sumeragi?" Nova questioned.

"I never came here when I first started working under them. I only came here when I was reinstated." Naomi reminded.

"What about this makes you think that I'll be convinced that you aren't still working for QUILL?" Nova interrogated.

"What's probably causing you to believe I'm still working with them is because you said that I could still communicate with them as long as nobody from QUILL knows that I'm working here." Naomi commented.

While Naomi was trying to worm her way out of her current predicament, the Lyoko warriors were trying to look into the situation. They wer on a video call after Gunvolt got the new info from Naomi.

"Do you need any help rescuing her?" Yumi offered.

"We should be fine, but one of us will request backup if needed." Gunvolt doubted.

"Can you keep us posted?" Jeremy hoped.

"Yeah man, we'll keep ya posted." Zeno agreed.

The window was closed as Naomi finished her conversation with Nova. Finally being able to relax at home for lunch, Naomi sat back and took a bite out of a french fry. She got popcorn fried shrimp, french fries, limeade with cherries and a sugar cookie. But swapped it with Mytyl for her loaf of banana nut bread. Nori walked in as soon as the sisters took a bite of their swapped desserts.

"What are you two doing?" Nori asked.

"Eating." The girls responded simultaneously.

"Looks like you both got the wrong trays." Nori supposed.

Naomi instantly got the same look on her face she had when she pranked Copen into thinking his gun had stopped working when she actually just put blanks in it.

"So that's what happened. You two swapped desserts. It's not her day of the week for a cheat day you know." Nori noticed.
