"Piece a cake, sure." Naomi agreed.
"H-how did you know that's what she wanted to make? I didn't have my phone on speaker or anything." Gunvolt rambled.
"I was just referencing the phrase." Naomi mumbled.
"What about Quinn? Do you think she'd be interested in baking too?" Gunvolt queried.
"Sure, but do you still want to do that at your place? It could get pretty crowded." Naomi wondered.
"Sure." Gunvolt confirmed.
Naomi went to sit at her desk and work.
"I'm surprised that Zeno reacted that way after eating that tiramisu." Gunvolt added.
"You know how he feels about food. I'm baffled that he didn't become a food critic instead. But I know why he couldn't." Naomi joked.
Gunvolt sighed.
"Sorry 'bout that, didn't mean ta make the mood drab or anything." Naomi apologized.
"It's alright, I know you weren't trying to dampen the mood." Gunvolt understood.
"So, ya got any plans for later?" Naomi asked.
"Just to bake dinner and make jewelry with Joule later." Gunvolt replied.
It was so hard for Naomi not to laugh at that statement.
'Ha! Jewel, Joule. It just sounds so similar.' Naomi laughed internally.
"Do you wanna try playing Celestial Concord later?" Naomi inqueried.
Gunvolt nodded as Naomi smiled.
"Aight, guess we're doin' that later." Naomi grinned.
"Is something wrong?" Gunvolt worried.
"Nothin' at all. Sorry, my tone just sounds like that sometimes." Naomi notified.
"I get it, sometimes life makes you feel like that. It gets you down on the occassion, that I can understand." Gunvolt assured.
Mytyl was in shock at home, wondering how her sister, her only sister and role model could betray her like that. Copen's emotional state regarding the same situation was beyond explainable. It was inexplicable, there was far too much to process, putting a weight on Copen's heart. There was a recent damper on his research as well, furthering his grief.
'I wonder if I steal Naomi's watch if I can get the data I need.' Copen supposed.
When she got back home, Naomi was worn out. Hearing someone stop next to her, Naomi turned from being on her back to rolling on her right side on her bed so she could see who it was.
"Can I borrow your watch?" Copen asked.
"No way! Last time you were involved with it you were a data thief!" Naomi denied.
"So, you were already aware of my true intentions?" Copen guessed.
"I knew you were coming for data as soon as I heard your footsteps approaching my room." Naomi explained as she faced the wall with her back towards Copen.
"Fine, I get the picture, I'll go." Copen commented as he left the room.
Lola was being rolled around on Naomi's bed with Naomi's right hand as she read a book at the foot of her bed lying on her stomach.
"Uh, boss, what are you reading?" Lola wondered.
"It's part of a mass series but the subseries is called Stratification. It's about this woman who goes through multiple realities. In this one she's part of this human tribe called Om'ray. There's also the Tikitik and Oud." Naomi elaborated.
Mytyl looked in fascination at her sister then the book, snatching and running away with it.
"Hey, that's my book and I'm not finished with it yet!" Naomi hollered room her bedrooms open doorway.
Running downstairs after Mytyl, Naomi kept an eye on her after reaching the ground floor. Naomi slipped and landed on her stomach, six feet from the stair case and half a foot from Mytyl.
"Gotcha!" Lola cheered as she actiaved the Capture Field.
Naomi got up with one of her menacing grins and went to snatch the book as Lola deactivated the Capture Field. However, Mytyl refused to return the book. Amidst the fighting, the bookmark fell out. Rage flared in Naomi's eyes.
She started a tug of war competition with Mytyl. Suddenly, the book cover slipped off, allowing Naomi to get away with the book. Fuming as a result of her loss, Mytyl ran upstairs after Naomi. Upon entering Mytyl's room, the two nearly made Nori lose her balance while dusting.
Nori watched the girls continue battling it out atop Mytyl's bed. A constant swaying at chances and successful book wrangling. After watching their ceaseless sparring for a minute or so, Nori had enough and decided to intervene. Nori took the book from Mytyl, the 4'11 girl dangling while gripping the book.
One 'you better watch your step' glare from Nori was all it took for Mytyl to stop gripping the book. The bed shook as Mytyl landed, causing Naomi's footing to get shaky and she fell on her rear onto the bed. Nori rolled her eyes as she left the room. Mytyl eyed Naomi, both girls having the exact same idea.
The two began initiating a massive tickle fight. Mytyl went for Naomi's feet while Naomi kicked Mytyl's hands in defense. Their battle raged on for five minutes. Exhausted, the girls laid down and decided to catch their breath.
It was brutal, the two were constatly engaged in some form of combat. They went as far as locking hands, trying to shove the other girl off the bed.
"Okay, that's enough from you." Copen huffed as he put his arms under Mytyl's, his elbows directly near her shoulders. He dragged Mytyl near the foot of the bed onto the floor and Nori followed suit, doing the same thing with Naomi.
They decided to drag the girls apart and into separate rooms. Mytyl stayed in her room with Copen while Nori closed the door behind her and talked to Naomi on the right side of the door in the hallway.
"I know it wasn't right of Mytyl to take your book without permission. But resorting to violence simply isn't the answer. Look, I understand that's all you kow to do, but it should only be used while you're at work. Okay? Next time that happens either let me know or tell her something. Now go to your room and don't come out of there until I tell you. I'll come in here to do so. I need to talk to Mytyl first." Nori spoke before leaving Naomi's room and closing the door behind her.
