But that's when he soon realized Naomi was actually hoping that Mytyl would see her sister as a hero in her eyes. Copen went upstairs to fix the problem. While Naomi was helping Mytyl rearrange her stuff, Copen stood in the doorway.
"You do realize she's lying to you right? She took all of your stuff and hid it in her room." Copen announced.
Mytyl went wide eyed as Naomi picked her up from around the hips.
"You're right, she would weigh nine pounds soaking wet." Naomi confirmed.
"I highly doubt you have room to say anything sis. You weighed ninety nine pounds last time you were weighed." Copen retorted.
Naomi turned towards the window and 'hmphed' at him.
"I resent both you and that remark." Naomi huffed.
Just then, Lola came zooming into the room.
"What did I miss?" Lola pondered.
"Naomi finally confessed to her crime and shared." Copen elucidated.
"Huh? What crime did she commit? Did she share with you that she committed a crime or what? Come oonnn, just tell me already!" Lola groaned.
"She stole some of Mytyl's stuff and hid it in her room to teach Mytyl a lesson." Copen explained.
"And Quinn gave me a piece of cake and three candies to share though I didn't think she deserved any." Naomi added.
"Well no, not if she stole your stuff, especially twice. But everyone deserves a second chance." Lola added.
"Some more than others." Copen growled.
"Especially when they know what they're doing is wrong and they can stop but refuse to." Naomi snarled.
"Or when they lie to cover their own hides even though they're doing wrong but say it's the right thing." Copen complained.
"Yeah, like stealing someone's gun, trespassing on private property and shooting someone all in the same day. Shooting someone on private property with a stolen gun is beyond ridiculous." Naomi debated.
Lola and Mytyl were looking back and forth between Copen and Naomi. The arguing was ceaseless and neither side showed signs of stopping anytime soon. Luckily, when Mytyl coughed, she gained their attention so the arguement ended.
"It was a senseless debate anyways." Copen supposed.
The two went their separate ways for the rest of the day. Naomi had taken the folders up to her room to study. The siblings all gathered in Mytyl's room for dinner. Although it was very quiet, Mytyl was happy to have them both in the same room. Copen was in the corner and Naomi was near the desk.
"Is anyone going to say anything? This is so boring!" Lola moaned.
"Why don't you talk to Mytyl then? That way it'll be less quiet." Copen remarked.
A lot of people would mistake Copen's statement for rude. But he didn't mean it that way. Naomi had the same issue more times already than Copen ever did. Sometimes her mom would tell her not to touch the stove when she was little and Naomi would look the other way.
Her mother would think she was rolling her eyes. In reality, Naomi was only trying to look the other way. Or the time she was told that she should spend more time with her siblings by the housekeeper. But what the housekeeper didn't know was that Naomi spent every possible second she could with them.
All the times she was told "Get down from there you'll hurt yourself" one too many times even though she knew what she was doing more than anyone else. Naomi also had one big pet peeve in regard to matters like that. She loathed when someone told her something, she responds with "I know" and then the other person says "Well if you would've known then you would've done it already". She so desperately wanted to say "Okay then, if you know so much about it then can you show me?" and pull a Tom Sawyer painting the fence type deal.
Naomi could talk for a day about the whole ordeal. At least a weeks worth the conversing regarding the things people told her she should do if not more.
"What's QUILL been up to?" Copen queried as he looked at Naomi.
Apparently the extra large lima beans had Naomi's full attention. Until Mytyl started crying that is. Copen sat on the bed to the right of Mytyl while Naomi attempted to hug her. In this attempt, Naomi was shoved away. Confused and hurt, all she could do was stare in shock.
"What did I do!?" Naomi shrieked.
"Y-you were trying to get rid of me." Mytyl cried.
"Since when!?" Naomi yelled.
"Knock it off, yelling won't get you anywhere." Copen warned.
"Z-Zeno told me t-that night when we w-went to the karaoke b-bar." Mytyl answered.
"I was talking about some comics Xiao wanted me to give you that he decided to get rid of, not you. Talk about taking things out of context without hearing the entire story first." Naomi mumbled.
"O-oh, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you mad or angry." Mytyl apoloized.
But her words fell upon deaf ears. Well, no ears actually since Naomi had already slammed the bedroom door and left to take a shower. When Mytyl went to look for Naomi, she was taking a shower. And by the time Mytyl went back to tell Copen, Naomi was already asleep.
The next day, Naomi was ticked and avoiding Mytyl at all costs. That morning she ate breakfast in her room, changed and ran straight to work. She was given a mission to work with Gunvolt and Zeno which she didn't want to. Naomi would have to explore the Subaquatic Base and check for the info they needed from the previous mission run there.
It was all going smoothly until Zeno asked her something.
"Ay man, ya good over there? Ya look bugged." Zeno wondered.
