Ch 85 The Vampire Incident of the Wizarding World
St Mungo's Hospital
(Insert Arcueid No Theme (Gekkou)
Dumbledore heads down the Halls of St Mungo's with Fudge and an Unspeakable accompanying him. He left Hogwarts in the care of McGonagall and Snape to attend to this issue.
"Dumbledore, this is unheard of." Fudge walks beside the old Headmaster of Hogwarts, "For a Witch or Wizard to lose their Magic completely is outrageous. The only thing that could strip them of their Magic is if we snapped their Wands."
The old Man nodded as Fudge rambled on, fortunately, there was an Unspeakable with them on Fudge's request. "Is there anything else we know of about these People?" Dumbledore asked,
The Unspeakable spoke, sharing the information they've gathered. "Only that all the Victims have bitemarks similar to those of Vampires. However-"
"Vampire Bites only drain Victims of their Blood, however, these Victims were drained of their Magic." The Unspeakable said, relaying their discovery to the Headmaster as they arrived at the Recovery Wing where they keep the Victims. "Some of the Victims have extensive injuries-"
Fudge nodded, interjecting into the conversation. "Y-Yes, many of the Wizards and Witches the Aurors' managed to recover, most of them were missing limbs and…dear Merlin," The Minister of Magic held back his Lunch he had before coming to see the Victims.
Dumbledore nodded, hearing what the two had to say. "I see, there's no need to give me an explanation, Cornelius." The Wizard said, standing before one of the Recovery Wing's doors. "We're already here, I can see for myself the injuries our fellow Wizards." He said, opening the doors,
Entering the Recovery Wing, the three Wizards walked inside to see the injured Wizards and Witches. Upon entering, both Fudge and the Unspeakable wince the second time they see the inhabitants.
Dumbledore froze in fear at the sight before him. He has seen many things that could make anybody vomit, however not to the extent that was before him.
The entire Wing was filled with Witches and Wizards, all either missing a Limb or most having large gashes made of what seemed to be from a Sword. In one corner of the Wing were at least Twenty or so Wizards/Witches all covered in a white tarp, indicating that they were deceased.
"Dear…Merlin…" Dumbledore could only utter those words, nothing could be said about the gruesome scene before him. "W-What could cause this…this…horrid occurrence. No Vampire should be capable of doing this!" He said, fully aware of Vampires Hunting methods and they wouldn't recklessly make such a mess.
The Unspeakable steps forward with the Minister of Magic, "This is the First Vampiric Activity in Britain after a long time. Especially when it comes to drained Magic," He said to the Headmaster. "I'm afraid they became Squibs,"
Dumbledore saw one of the Victims, trying his best to use his Wand. However, the Wand didn't respond to the Spells he was saying, he cried and cursed at the Fate he was in.
"Why, why does it have to be me!? I had my Life going for me, I just joined the Ministry and earned myself a good higher position, and now…" The Wizard screamed, gripping his Head in frustration.
"My Boy, what has happened to you?" Dumbledore approaches the young Wizard. Much like the other Victims, a Bite mark was present on his Body.
The Wizard glares at Dumbledore, lashing out at him. "What do you think!? My Magic is gone, I'm nothing but a good-for-nothing Muggle!" He exclaims, going into a rant.
Fudge quickly and try to de-escalate the Wizard's ranting, however, it proves futile when he speaks about finding the Vampire and disposing of it properly. The Wizard doesn't want to hear it, he wants his Magic back (an impossible thing to do).
The Unspeakable looks at Dumbledore, sharing the same thought as him while Fudge speaks with the Wizard.
They both nodded at each other before Legilimency to read the young Wizard- now Squib's mind.
Within the Wizard's Mind, they view his recent Memories of his to uncover the Culprit. Both Dumbledore and the Unspeakable peer further in his Mind before finding something that looks like a clue.
Standing before the Wizard was an imposing Figure. He was dawned in black-silver Armor, his gauntlets were jagged like Claws, and his Cape flowed like Flames dancing in the air.
His Helmet obstructed the face, however the eye area showed a glowing red glare that could pierce through any brave Soul. There was a large crack that covered the left side to the right.
In his hand was a familiar Silver Sword dawned in red jewels.
"I will have…my Vengeance…" A demonic voice spoke before the crack opened, resembling Fangs. "My Flames shall devour you…WIZARDS!"
He leaps towards the Wizard, causing Dumbledore and the Unspeakable to retreat from the Mind.
Both Wizards gasped, seeing the Vampire that Attacked the Wizards and Witches in the Wing. "Well? What did you two see?" Fudge demanded, knowing they were in the Wizard's Mind. "Did you get a glimpse of our Vampire Culprit?" The Minister asked.
"T-That Vampire…it shares similar traits and characteristics to them. But this one…" Dumbledore said, never encountering this type before.
The Unspeakable on the other hand remains silent. The way how the Black Armored Vampire spoke, how it emits an imposing Aura. This wasn't any old Vampire they'd seen…no, this is something worse. "Minister Fudge, Headmaster…I-I believe we got…a…a-a D-Dead Apostle in our hands."
"A-A what?" Fudge asked, never heard of the term before.
Dumbledore, however, did. Though he heard Stories, but he has written it off as some Folklore to make Vampires powerful. Even so, if an Unspeakable sharing of information about something like this, then it has to be true.
'Merlin's Beard…things aren't going to be easy…' Dumbledore said, having another issue to put on his plate.
Wandering Sea
"So…a Dead Apostle has appeared in the Wizarding World and targeting the Wizards…" Ritsuka looked at the Tablet, reading the Mages' reports on the subject. "Seems things are going into place then…" He sighs, placing down the Tablet.
Lorelei raised a brow at the director of Chaldea. "What does that suppose to mean?" The Vice-director of the Mages Association asked, getting suspicious of him.
"Trismegistus II predicted that there's going to be a Grail War in the near Future with the involvement of a Dead Apostle and a possible Beast emerging." Sion adjusted her glasses, relaying the information she got from Trismegistus II. "I'm pretty sure I've sent the report to Goldolf…" She said to herself.
"Goldolf Musik is taking care of personal matters on my behalf. He wasn't able to send the report." Lorelei said, seeing this was her fault for not letting Goldolf do her thing and waiting for Sion's report. "In any case, this revelation isn't one to put on hold. As you know the Church set up a Church in Hogsmede to keep a close eye on the Headmaster. Our Spies are also having their sights set on the Ministry," The Vice-director explained the situation to Ritsuka, giving him an indication of what needs to be done.
Ritsuka nodded, "This has placed a major dent in my plans…fine. I'll set out to investigate the matter." He said, gazing over to Holmes and Koyanskaya beside him. "Koyanskaya adjusted my schedule to spend time with my Son. Holmes, this is a mystery I'm sure you know what to do."
Holmes chuckles, seeing his master doing what he does best. "Of course, Mr. Fujimaru. I'll make the necessary arrangements for our investigation on this matter." The Ruler said, feeling like it's been a long while since he had a mystery to solve. "Might I suggest adding someone to our Infiltration Team?" He asked,
Ritsuka nodded, allowing the idea made by Holmes. "I'll leave who to you, Holmes. I trust your intuition." He commented,
"Well…seems like our stay here in the Wandering Sea has to be extended," Koyanskaya said, moving some things around on her Tablet.
Lorelei and the Mages behind her were satisfied with how this turned out. "I appreciate it, Ritsuka. I'll send you the information on where to look."
Ritsuka nodded, standing up to prepare for the investigation. 'Man… by now I would've been free to do what I want to do with Hars. Oh well, it'll leave him with more time to Study…that reminds me. I need to check out how he's doing tomorrow before I leave.' He said to himself.
Harry laid back down on the Medical Bed. Since his sudden pause, Mashu wanted to ensure that nothing like that happened again.
Mashu had Asclepius check and monitor her Son for any signs of passing out.
Though it was a pain to do so, the Greek God of Medicine did his part as a Doctor. He checked on Harry's condition and looked for any indications of fainting.
However, he did not find anything related to that. Asclepius deemed it to be Dream and Mind-related, something he's not associated with. Despite that, the Caster prescribed him to take the Day off and rest,
Everyone agreed with the Argonaut's decision. Harry watches as Van Gogh and Cagliostro (who oddly enough seem…suspicious) leave the Medical Bey.
Mashu did the same, not before kissing Harry's forehead. She leaned back and smiled, "You needn't be worried about your Schoolwork, Harry-kun. I'll speak with your Teachers about what happened." The former Demi-Servant said, wanting her Son to rest and not worry about a thing.
"Thanks, Mom." Harry smiled, appreciating her doing all she could to make him comfortable.
In a short while, Alice and Jeanne Alter Santa Lily dropped by to lend him some Books to read to pass the time.
They brought Books Harry would like, Books about Mythology (mainly Greek), and some about Thomas Edison (a Person whom all Children know from School Lessons).
Resting in the Bed, occasionally being checked by the Staff and some Servants. Salome visited, giving some a plate of poorly sliced Apples. Regardless of how it looked, he accepted from the Berserker, who was greatly pleased. (A rather risky move by Harry,) however, he didn't think much of it.
Van Gogh along with a black-haired Woman wearing a red and black Kimono. Her black hair has flower ornaments to hold it in place, however, the most eye-catching about her is that she has a little Octopus floating around her, her True Name was Katsushika Hokusai, the famous Japanese Painter who painted Thirty-Six Views of Mt. Fuji, and the famous Dreams of the Fisherman's Wife,
Rather she is Katsushika Hokusai's Third Daughter, Katsushika Oui who has taken up the Name Hokusai.
The Foreigners gave a drawing pad and a set of drawing materials as a way to Battle boredom while he recovers.
Harry was thankful of course for giving him these items. He wanted to finish his Painting before he passed out,
Many Servants came to visit him, from Diarmuid, Ko-Gil, Alexander, Moriarty, Skadi, the Einzbern Sisters, Sitonai, Marie, and many more.
Harry spotted Wu Zetian, however she quickly left when Fou shifted on his Bed.
Jack sat next to the young master, wanting to see if he was alright. "Are you sure you're okay, Big Brother?" The Assassin asked, worried for him.
"I'm okay, Jack. It's just a little faint, I don't think it's something to worry about." Harry said, holding the Book about AC and DC on his lap.
"Big Brother does get those faints and it was a big thing," Jack said, remembering how Ritsuka would occasionally drift into REM REM Sleep which led to Shimosa and Id. "Big Brother should know about this-hold on, what about the Mister? We know he's been with you in your shadow."
Harry understood what the Serial Killer was saying, "Count of Monte Cristo isn't around, I'm not sure but I think he's on a Mission from Dad," He said, assuming that was the case.
"Hmm…" Jack seems skeptical but doesn't pursue it. "But we do hope you're going to feel better, Big Brother. We just wish we could do more to help you feel better," The Assassin said, really concerned for him.
"It's not like I'm going to die, Jack," Harry said, seeing this was him overworking himself. "I'm going to be fine,"
Jack was skeptical, but she didn't question the young master's words. "If you say so, Big Brother." She said before looking at the time. "Oh, we have to go. It's almost time for the Material Gathering Mission with the others."
"Hmm-hmm, okay Jack. Thank you for visiting me here," Harry smiled at the Assassin, watching her go to the exit, not before waving at him.
Harry smiled, looking at the Drawing Pad beside his bed. He reaches out, taking the Pad to start a new Drawing. "Seems like you're surrounded by good People," A sudden voice spooked the young Boy.
"H-Huh!? W- Who's there?" Harry asked, looking around the Medical Bay for whoever spoke.
"Sorry, sorry, didn't mean to scare you, Buddy." The voice echoes, materializing at the foot of his Bed.
Standing before Harry, was a young blonde Man around his Father's Age, wearing a white shirt, a red vest, grey pants with some straps on his side, and black loafers.
The Servant smiled, saluting with his two fingers. "Yo,"
Harry blinks, placing his Drawing Pad to the side. "I think I saw you before…but I don't remember where." He said, seeing the Servant before him.
The Servant shrugs his shoulders at the young Boy, "Who knows, I was Summoned here for some reason, but I figured to check things out here." He said, looking around the place he was in. "Wait a moment…is this…the Legendary secretive Wandering Sea: Baldanders!?" He asked excitedly.
"Yeah…it is…" Harry said, looking at the blonde Servant who had stars in his eyes. "Who are by the way?" He asked, curious about who this Servant was.
The Servant turns around, looking at the Heir of Chaldea. "Hmm? Oh, right, you don't know who I am yet, sorry." He cleared his throat, smiling at the young master. "I am an Assassin Class Servant, because of this True Name stick, call me Flat. Suits me, right?"
Harry could only nod at the Assassin, despite introducing himself to him. Harry was still curious about where he came from. "So…Flat, I guess you came from the Counter Force?"
"Hmm? Oh yeah, but I think that's something to worry about later. (Mainly because that Edge Lord Servant and the others are Halfway to the bottom of your Mind)" Flat whispers the last part, placing his hands over his Head. "Any who~, I'm going to check this place out. You don't mind. I always wanted to see what the legendary Wandering Sea looks like, maybe seeing the rumored Gates I've heard talks about."
Harry flinched, unsure if letting an unregistered Servant roam around Novum Chaldea was a good idea. "Um…I'm not sure if it's okay. The Servants here might see you as an Intruder," He said, warning the Counter Force Servant about the many Servants here,
Flat merely smiles at the young Boy, replying to his warning. "All for the better! I can finally meet and befriend every Heroic Spirits!" He announced, placing both his hands on his hips. "That's my Wish."
"I see…" Harry said, seeing the Wish that Flat strives for was technically achievable. There were a lot of Servants here in the Wandering Sea that could help with his Wish. "Well, there's a lot of Servants here for you to do so…"
The blonde Assassin continued to smirk at Harry. "That's what that Salem Girl said. Anyway, I'll be around in my Spirit Form checking this place out." He said, really wanting to see what one of the exclusive places in the Mage World.
Harry nodded, only to realize something. "Hold on, don't you need to form a Contract with a master, Flat?" He asked the Pseudo-Servant.
"Nah, I mean I would like to have love to have a master. But I'd like to do my own thing for the time being." Flat said, about to dematerialize from the room to explore. "Anyways, if you need me, just call my Name,"
Harry nodded, watching the Assassin disappear before him. "Well, that's strange, there must be a small Singularity somewhere…" He said, contemplating if he should tell his Dad. On one hand he should, however on the other Trismegistus II might've informed him and the others about the Singularity.
Regardless, he cannot go and tell them right about now due to how late it is. Plus his Father might be busy with the Vice-director of the Clocktower now,
Tomorrow Morning, he'll definitely tell him about the Counter Force Servant and a possible Singularity.
The next Morning, his Father and Mother were busy once again with Lorelei. Harry sighs, placing down his pen after finishing writing an Essay about Charmwork.
"Harry," A gentle and yet stern voice called out to him.
The young Boy looks up, his eyes staring at a purple and dark-robed Woman with pointed ears and a purplish-blue hair color.
Her Name was Medea of Colchis, the Witch of Betrayal, the Niece of the Queen of Witches Circe, and more famously the (Ex)Wife of Jason, Leader of the Argonauts.
"Are you finished with your Essay?" The Caster asked the young Heir.
"Yes, Miss Medea. I'm done writing it," Harry handed the Essay to the Argonaut's Mage.
Medea, the Princess of Colchis and Neice of Circe was a talented Magus. In this case, a powerful Witch, renowned in the Wizarding World for creating many Charms that the Wizarding World uses.
Remus was teaching Harry a bit about the Wizarding World's Culture since he's quite knowledgeable of the Marauders. Mainly, he taught him about Famous People in Wizard History that made an impact to it,
Medea, Abby, Merlin, Paracelsus Von Hohenheim, Cagliostro, Ashyia Douman, Circe, King Morgan, Arthur and his Knights of Round, Anastasia, Ptolemy, Vlad III, Elizabeth Bathory, and many more.
"Hmmm…" Harry was brought back to reality, hearing his Teacher hum. He then heard Medea placing down his Essay and looked at him. "You learn quickly, you got the foundation of Charmwork down to the T. Modern Day Charmwork hasn't changed a bit since my time of using it."
"T-Thank you, Miss Medea." Harry smiled at the Witch of Betrayal. "Um, Miss Medea, how do you feel about being part of Wizard History? Uncle Remus said that the Wizarding Community has high praises for your work, despite you…um…"
Medea stood up from her seat, placing an A as a Grade. "Title as the Witch of Betrayal? I really don't care much if my Charms are still in use today. Nor the fact that I am a Figurehead in the Modern Wizard Society." The Caster said, explaining her views on the Modern Day Charmwork. "My Title as the Witch of Betrayal has fueled many Witches and Wizards to have a discriminative view of the less Magical and reason to keep hidden from them. They believed I was an innocent Witch who was tricked by a Mundane Man and committed atrocities under his control."
"The Mundane you speak of, it's Jason, the Captain of the Argonauts and…your Husband, right?" Harry asked, feeling a bit unsure if he should mention that last bit.
"Yes, technically, you could say I'm still Married to that Fool. Though separated, my younger self is still smitten by him." Medea groans at the thought of her Lily Version of herself. "Regardless of what the Wizard sees me as; it didn't excuse that I've still committed those acts. In any case, since you know the foundation of Charms, we can have you start casting some next Class." Medea proudly said, feeling satisfaction to have a Student again.
Harry nodded in response, happy that he'd get to learn to cast Charms. "I can't wait for that, Miss Medea."
"Now off you go, you got a special Lesson with…ugh, Merlin next." The purple-haired Witch said, ushering Harry to get to his next Class.
"Okay," Harry looks at Fou, sleeping on the desk next to him. "Come on, Fou. We don't want to be late." He called for the Beast,
"Fou," Fou leaps off from the Desk, landing on Harry's shoulders.
Harry quickly rushes down the Hall to Merlin's Classroom, not wanting to be late. Once he got to a corner, he bumped into someone who was heading in the same direction. "Oof!" He stumbles, back catching himself so he won't fall.
"I am so sorry. I didn't see where I was walking," A familiar voice said, apologizing to the black-haired Boy. "Ara? Young master, I didn't expect you to be here at this time," She said,
"Fou, Fou!" Fou barks, leaping over to the Servant.
The Servant giggles, happy to see Fou. "Oh my, Fou. It's been a while since you sat on my shoulders." She spoke softly,
Harry looks up and sees a blonde Girl with green eyes wearing the same Uniform as all Female Students here. "Caster, I didn't expect you here! I thought you were at the British Outpost," He greeted the first Servant that he Bonded with.
"My goodness, it seems there's a mistake on who you're referring to, young master." The Servant said she raised her hand to her mouth, coughing gently. "Ahem,"
(Insert Lily (Fate/Grand Carnival OST)
Harry watches as she bows with one hand lifting one side of her skirt. "I am Arturia Pendragon Lily, a Saber Servant and the Wielder of the Sword of Selection, Caliburn. Please, do call me Lily." Arturia Lily looks up with the purest smile Harry has ever seen. "A pleasure to finally meet you in Person, young master."
"O-Oh, I'm sorry. I thought you were someone I'd met back in Britain." Harry apologizes to the young King Arthur.
Arturia Lily giggles purely, "Seems like you've met my Lostbelt Self, Arturia Caster. Yes, I understand the confusion," She said, not minding that Harry made a mistake. "You could say, both me and her are Technically Lily Servants since we are Sixteen."
Harry nodded, hearing what she said. "Lily Servants, I've heard that they were Servants when they were younger?" He asked, taking the context clues Lily gave.
"Oh my, did master tell you about Lily Servants?" Arturia Lily said before waving it off. "No, probably not. You did meet Gil, Sentanta, and Alexander already in the Simulator, am I wrong?" She asked,
"Yeah, I did. I already met Alexander when I was in France." Harry said, explaining to the Saber Servant before asking her something else. "Are you going to be in Merlins' Class, Lily? You seem to be heading in the same direction as I am."
Arturia Lily nodded, replying to the next master of Chaldea. "Indeed I am, I'm not sure if anyone told you. But I'll be starting master Merlin's Class with you from now on." The Lily Servant said, tapping her chin. "I believe the Count said something about ensuring that there are no sketchy doings in the Lessons. Or something like that."
"Huh…now that you mention it, Merlin does seem to be someone who would do that," Harry said, getting to know the two Merlins personally. From that and from the way everyone was talking about him.
"Fou, Fou," Fou wholeheartedly agrees with the two, disliking the Incubus/Succubus from the start.
Arturia Lily giggles, stepping in the direction of the Classroom. "Now that's settled, shall we meet with master Merling, young master?" The Saber asked the young Heir.
"Yeah, let's go!" Harry said, following the young King of Knights to their Class.
