TREMIS

In the midst of the night, when no wind was blowing, two young girls were walking down the road by themselves, together, in a place where no light would turn on.

The night was dark, and the air was chilly even though there was no wind, but they walked on resolutely, not even trembling in their steps.

Then, suddenly, the older girl spoke up, "Ne,****, You want to eat something?" she asked, holding the younger girl's hand as she pointed toward a cart that was moving toward them, there was a poster, indicating that it was Dango's cart.

But why? Why was there a dango's cart in the middle of the night, both girls didn't even think about it, as their stomachs couldn't stop rumbling, asking to be filled with food.

With the younger girl's nod of approval, they approach the Cart, slowly, the cart stops before them, and then…slow footsteps ring out loud in the quietest of the night.

But…there is no one moving, the two girls turn tense, waiting for something they didn't know…then…the blind open up and reveal a man with no leg greeting them!

"...Kya…?"

"What? Not scary?" asks the boy, sitting on his bed and looking over at the children that surround him.

"The only one who is scared is her." the girl with red hair pointed toward the child covered in her bed with her blanket covering them from head to toe, shaking with fear. "Really, Ono? That's the best you got? Only Furue would be scared by something like that!" she said as she crossed her hand across her chest, huffing in annoyance.

"Well, I'm sorry Ame, that your Brian is unable to process the magnificent of my well-thought-of story." Ono retorts back at the girl, with the best scasm he could think of.

"Ne…Should we…go to sleep? Grandpa said we need to sleep before…eight P.M." the young boy with dark orange eyes said, looking worried at the clock.

"Shut it, Yuzu, gramp already knockout, and well, I don't have school tomorrow," Ono said, looking at the clock.

"Only you that don't have school tomorrow." Ame stood up before clapping her hand, "Alright, today's bedtime story is over! Get to bed before I kick Ye ass!" she said as she used her foot to lightly nag the children, they soon all rushed to their bed while giggling softly, too used to this by now.

"Tch, why do I gotta do this too?" Ono grumbled slowly, as he lay down on his bed.

"Ya want me to knock you out again? I'm not holding back this time," said Ame, as she held up her right hand threateningly with a manic grin.

He sweated at that gesture and decided not to say anything, choosing to lay down on his bed without making a fuss.

"Light off, sweet dream," she said lightly as she turned off the light and walked to her bed accurately without even stumbling as her eyes glowed a bit yellowish.

Ame's quirk, Night Vision, allows her to see even in the darkest of the night, a quirk she inherited from her grandfather, the owner of the orphanage.

Just as she lay down on the bed, she almost screamed out as she felt something moving, pulling the blankets, only to find the shaking Furue hiding in her bed, her tears gleaming in the dark.

"Ha…Today too, huh?" the little girl nodded, hugging the bunny doll. She moved a bit, allowing Ame to get in her bed. She opened her arm and let the young child snuggle up to her, sighing, she swore that she would not let Ono take over Bedtime story duty again.

TREMIS

Hirano Furue is a scary cat, she is a coward, scared of the tiniest of things. One time, when she was left alone in the room, just because Granpa or Ame wasn't there, she would cry out loud, and not anyone could comfort her, only Ame could, as she was the one that was closest to Furue.

She was now 5 years old…with no sign of quirk showing up, a girl who is 5 years Olds, in a world where over 80% percent of the population have quirk.

She would be in the 20% that didn't have it, and it made Ame worry, sure right now, the girl didn't get bullied, after all, she studies here, not only this place is an orphanage but it is also a preschool that was sponsored by the government as an effort to help Children in need.

Well, the only caretaker is her grandpa, and the teacher is a college student who wants some money for their tuition.

All the kids have been taught not to make fun of the quirkless people and they all understood that, because, in the end, we are all just human, that was what her grandpa said anyway.

But Furue is different, the girl is always quiet, not really talking much but she always plays with the other kids too.

But in 1 year, the girl would need to go elementary school, and in an environment that Furue didn't use to couple with kids she didn't know, and worse of all, with how society is, She didn't need to imagine what would happen to a timid girl with no quirk…

A quirk would normally appear once you turn 4, of course, there is a case of quickly appearing late but…she worries, of course, there is some people who manifest their quirk at puberty but… kids are too simple they don't even know what right or wrong.

"Haa…Such a pain…" she grumbled loudly, drawing the attention of her friend.

"What's wrong, Ame-chan... Is it a boy? Please tell me it's a boy-Urg!" The rough slap on the head stops her from saying anything more, she looks behind only to see a woman with black hair staring her down lightly.

"She didn't have a boyfriend, Chika. Stop bothering her about boys." the girl said lightly, taking a seat beside the worried girl.

"Boo! That's no fun, Kirachi! Ame-chan always grumbles about her life to me so why can't I pry?!" Chika protests but it goes unheard in Kira's ears.

She turns to the worried Ame.

"So, what is it this time? Last time was Hiru-kun getting in trouble with school, and last last time was Umeko's test result." Kira asks, her head reaching for the juice she just bought, throwing one to shut Chika's moving mouth and place one in front of Ame.

"Eh…it's just…Furue still hasn't developed her own quick yet…I kinda worry." she said, plucking down the straw and drinking the juice. "At this late, I'm afraid she will get bullied. I mean…you know that kid from class 4 right? He got it pretty bad…"

At that they all look down, not wanting to say anything, a society full of superpower, of course, those who don't have it would be shunned.

"Is it really that bad? She what? 5 years old? Some don't have a quick before they turn 10" Kira said, throwing the empty juice box into the trash bin perfectly, too used to doing this by now.

"Welp, it's not just that, I'm worried about when she goes to elementary school! You know kids have no reserve and they don't know what is right or wrong, right? What more with society praising the quick and shunning the quirkless, what do you think will happen?"

She said worriedly, thinking about the near future with dread. "I don't want that girl to go through something like that, hell she is timid enough, if she got bullied, she would just close herself off!" her voice raises a bit but she quickly tones it down. "Anyway, that's why I'm worried."

The two stay silent when Ame's sudden voice raises, but soon Kira sighs out while Chika is still sucking up all the juice making an irritating sound.

"girl, you are 18, and you are in your third year of high school, there should be something you need to worry about more, like your college preparation. Honestly, the kid will pick up after herself, no need to worry too much. Well, if she stumbles then you can just pick her up. Let the kid figure herself out, and if she does really have no quirk then it's fine, isn't it? She got you and that orphanage."

Kira said as she took out her notebook while Chika just nodded along with Kira's words, Ame took her time to respond, thinking about the girl.

"Yeah…you're right…I probably think too much, but hopefully…it comes out sooner than later."

The bell rings, and soon the teacher comes in, greeting them lightly.

Well, today too, would be a boring one.
