PruLiet: Pester

Lithuania was doing his paperwork, or rather, the paperwork that Russia had given him to do. It was a tedious job, but at least Russia left him alone when he did that. Lithuania proved to be the best secretary, and Russia didn't want Lithuania to make a mistake which would get him in trouble with his boss.

And Russia also knew that Lithuania was too scared to purposely make a mistake to get him in trouble.

There was just one problem that Lithuania had to deal with. Sure, Russia might leave him alone, but someone else decided that it would be fun to pester the Lithuanian.

"Kesesese," Prussia snickered. "I can't believe you've turned into Russia's secretary. So unawesome."

Lithuania glared at the Prussian before he returned the gaze to the paper in front of him. It was already hard to focus on the Cyrillic. With Prussia distracting him…

"You know, I can't believe how weak you've become," Prussia said. "You're like some little puppy, whimpering in fear."

"Prussia, is there a reason why you're bothering me?" Lithuania huffed.

"Hungary's busy," Prussia said dismissively.

"Yeah, well, so am I."

"But you can't convince me to leave you alone."

Lithuania gritted his teeth. He knew what Prussia was saying. That he was too weak to be able to do anything. Too much of a pushover. He sighed in frustration, turning his attention back to the document he was supposed to be working on.

"What happened?" Prussia asked. "You used to be pretty awesome. Hell, I still think of the Battle of Tannenberg. I can't see how the guy who held a dagger to my throat could be the unawesome you."

Lithuania didn't answer, his mind wandering to that battle as well. Perhaps he should have ended it there. It would have saved him from the grief he was suffering through now.

Rrrriiiipppp…

Lithuania's head snapped towards Prussia, and his eyes widened when he saw the other tearing several sheets of paper, staring at him with that infuriating smirk.

Lithuania's blood boiled, and before he knew it he lunged at Prussia, earning a surprised yelp as he tackled the other to the ground.

Prussia's eyes bulged when Lithuania pinned him to the ground, straddling his waist while his hands were resting on either side of Prussia's head.

"What is wrong with you?" Lithuania demanded, unconsciously leaning closer. "Do you want to get me killed? Are you that desperate for attention?"

To Lithuania's annoyance, Prussia smirked.

"There's the awesome nation I remember," Prussia said.

To Lithuania's surprise, Prussia leaned up and kissed him softly on the lips. Lithuania jumped back, startled at the sudden act, and Prussia used the opportunity to push him off and stand up.

"Well, that was fun," Prussia said. "Oh, and those papers were blank. You have nothing to worry about."

And the Prussian left with a cackle, leaving a very confused Lithuanian.

Okay, since a lot of you keep asking about it… I've decided to prioritize The World Meets Canada. I only have about fourteen chapters or so left to write. Since Enough is nearing its finale, I need something else to post on Fridays. I decided to make it The World Meets Canada. It will be posted on both Mondays and Fridays, since a) the chapters are pretty short compared to my other multichapter fics, and b) there will be a poll to see who the readers prefer to see with Canada. Since I don't want to make the poll last too long (the last candidate will be introduced in Chapter 55), and I also want to give a little extra time once you've seen all the candidates to make a choice, it will be two chapters a week, but once all the 'introductions' are over, the updates will change to once a week. Actually, perhaps I should have two polls: one for the beginning, and one after all the candidates have had a chance to shine.
