Chapter Two: Merged Universes

Risa stood up and motioned for Kasumi and Akane to help her carry Rei to the bed in the room. They put her on the bed and covered her up with a blanket.

"Rei is asleep again," cried Risa. "Though her condition seems to be worsening every second that passes by," as she saw Doctor Tōfū nod in agreement. Risa sat next to her daughter once more.

"What was that?" Nabiki asked. She heard Rei take deep breaths as she continued to struggle to breathe.

"I thought the Silver Millennium Empire was a myth. A fairy tale," exhaled Akane as she and Kasumi put a few pillows under Rei's head.

"Oh my," muttered Kasumi as she sat back down. "Rei's a princess?"

"She is," confirmed Elder Kho Lon. "My people the Joketsuzoku formed long ago. We revered the Silver Millennium Empire before they fell," as she marveled at the knowledge that she had managed to learn. "We've managed to preserve history unlike most of the world."

"Our duty is to help aid the survivors," Shan Pu added as her face grew red. "I tried to kill one of the Silver Millennium Empire's princesses."

"Not your fault," exhaled Chiyo. "It's been so long since the Silver Millennium Empire was in power," as she sighed. "It's easy to mistake someone as not being one of them."

"That's all-good knowledge we learned but," Doctor Tōfū began, "how do we stop Rei from dying." He saw the sleeping princess struggle to breathe. "She doesn't have long."

"I have an idea," Elder Kho Lon began as everyone looked at her. "It's called a Soul Swap. It's a very complicated spell."

"Soul Swap?" Nabiki questioned with confusion.

"Wait? You can save her?" Akane asked as she lightly smiled.

"What is it?" Kasumi inquired.

"Go on," exhaled Doctor Tōfū as he folded his arm on his lap.

"Let's hear it," sniffled Risa as she did her best to stay strong for her daughter.

"Rei should have a pure female soul," explained Elder Kho Lon. "There is no way she should have a male soul within her, but she does...That's what's killing her," as she paused. "The curse within the male soul is the problem," as everyone gasped. "I have a method to extract the male soul that was placed within her soul."

"You do," Chiyo asked as she raised her eyebrows. "Interesting."

"We have to try it," urgently exclaimed Doctor Tōfū. "If not, we might as well begin to prepare for a funeral."

"Here is the thing," Elder Kho Lon began. "It comes at a price," as everyone stared at her. "If I just removed it Rei would still die." She sighed. "I can remove it...With Chiyo's help to keep the male soul from fleeing. And with Doctor Tōfū's skills purge the male soul of the curse."

Elder Kho Lon paused for a moment. She looked around at each of the younger girls. She closed her eyes for a moment.

"What is it, great-grandmother?" Shan Pu asked. "We have to hurry before Princess Rei dies from the horrible curse."

"Sorry. I just needed a second," sighed Elder Kho Lon. "Here is the drawback…One of you teen girls would have to take the male soul within yours," as everyone's eyes grew wide. "In doing so history will be corrected. Rei would be born female," as she paused for a moment. "And whoever takes the male soul will be born male without the curse."

"Oh my," stuttered Kasumi as she looked shocked.

"That's quite a price," exhaled Doctor Tōfū.

"Indeed," agreed Nabiki as she paled. "I think this is something that I would have to think a little bit about."

"Everything has a cost," Chiyo added.

"I'll do it," began Akane as everyone gasped at her. "I have to save her. She can't die...Even if the price is that I become a boy myself," as she looked at Rei. "She's such a feminine soul," as she steeled herself. "I want her to live that life that has now twice been taken from her."

"You are very brave," praised Shan Pu.

"Thank you," cried Risa as she hugged Akane who hugged her back. "You are giving my daughter her life back to her," as she slowly let go of the hug. "You really are a saint, Akane."

"No problem," soothed Akane. "I just have to save her," as she took a deep breath. "Even if it means that I have to make a huge sacrifice to do so."

"Doctor Tōfū, Chiyo come with me," ordered Kho Lon. "We need to begin preparations," as she got the room to focus once more. "We have little time," as she stood up. "The young princess has less than seven hours of life left in her." She left the room.

"Of course," Chiyo added.

"Right," exhaled Doctor Tōfū as he followed Kho Lon out of the room. Chiyo followed behind as quickly as she was able to.

Hours later, Elder Kho Lon, Doctor Tōfū, and Chiyo walked into the bedroom where Rei was still asleep. Each carried a few supplies in each of their hands. Akane and Risa smiled as she saw them.

"Has she woken up at all?" Doctor Tōfū asked as he put down the supplies on the table that he had in his hands.

"Nope," sighed Nabiki. "Her fever, breathing, and temperature have gotten worse."

"We running out of time," added Shan Pu as she looked at her great-grandmother.

"Aye," added Kasumi as she shook her head. "I've done everything I can to keep her as comfortable as possible." She wiped away a tear.

"My daughter's a fighter," praised Risa as she wiped away her tears. "I'm so proud of her ability to fight what is clearly a difficult curse."

"Are we ready to go?" Akane asked as she tried to avoid panicking.

"Just about," replied Elder Kho Lon as she grew serious. "Look we got one shot at saving Princess Rei," as everyone nodded. "She's got less than an hour of life in her," as she took a deep breath. "We won't get a second chance," as she faced Chiyo. "You and Doctor Tōfū ready?" She saw Chiyo and Doctor Tōfū nod. "Good. Then let's do the last prep work."

"Aye," agreed Chiyo as she smiled. "All the supplies have been brought up," as Elder Kho Lon cleared her throat as everyone paid attention. Chiyo prepared several circles in the center of the room. She saw Doctor Tōfū set up the chairs as Elder Kho Lon had instructed him.

"Alright. Let's begin. Akane step forward," began Elder Kho Lon as she pointed to the closer chair. Akane sat in the chair. She looked at Kasumi and Nabiki. "Please place Rei on the other side of the room in the chair. Have her face Akane," as everyone followed her orders. "I need to meditate quickly. Just relax. Stay quiet. Okay?" She saw everyone nod.

Elder Kho Lon closed her eyes for a moment. She began to meditate as a red aura appeared around her body. A moment later she opened her eyes, and the red aura vanished.

"Next," carried on Elder Kho Lon. "Everyone step away from the circles I had Chiyo create on the floor. She looked at her great-granddaughter. "Shan Pu please turn off the lights once everyone is back at their spots," as she looked at Risa. "Just comfort your daughter," as Risa nodded. "You can sit next to her. Just don't interfere is all."

"Got it," gushed Risa as she smiled. She pulled up a chair and sat next to Rei. Risa did her best to stay as calm as possible.

"Okay," began Nabiki. "We are ready on our end. She saw Shan Pu stand up and walk over to the light switch.

"Good," praised Shan Pu as she shut the lights off once everyone was at their spots.

"Chiyo are you ready?" Elder Kho Lon asked. "Please stand close to Rei to prevent the male Soul from fleeing once I remove it," as she gave her friend a nod.

"Yes," Chiyo replied as she stood at her spot.

"Good," Doctor Tōfū added. "I've got the curse removal ready to cleanse the cursed male soul when it leaves Rei," as he gave Elder Kho Lon a nod.

"Great. Let's save her before we lose her," chirped Elder Kho Lon as her eyes turned blue then pink. "Oh, Ancient Souls. I beseech Ye. Free thou own soul of one Rei Hino from holding thy own cursed male soul." She paused. "Free thou Rei Hino from the hold of the boy's soul," as a blue soul left Rei's body it was covered by a dark shimmering force. "Now."

"On it," said Doctor Tōfū. He quickly cleansed the male soul as it turned blue. "Done."

"Hurry," Chiyo added. "I can't contain this male soul for long," as she struggled to hold her grip onto the male soul.

"Oh, Ancient Souls. I beseech Ye," chanted Elder Kho Lon. "Merge thou male soul to Akane's soul and remake thy Akane's soul into that of a boy's soul," as the casters eyes turned pink then blue. The blue soul entered Akane's body. "It's done."

Akane's former female body was enveloped with a blue light as it slowly faded. In replacement of Akane was a tall boy with short black hair and black eyes. He was muscled, tall, and lean. He wore a black dress shirt and black pants. He had short white socks on.

"Do you have a name?" Elder Kho Lon asked the new boy. He faced each person in the room with a smile and faced Rei. He gave her a deep smile. Lastly, he faced Elder Kho Lon once more and gave her a grin.

"My name is...Koji Tendo," replied Koji as a bright light enveloped them all...

Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock. Tick.

As the light faded around Elder Kho Lon; she saw clocks of all shapes around her. She was in a long narrow room. Elder Kho Lon looked around and thought she saw someone in the distance of the room.

"Where am I?" Elder Kho Lon asked as she blinked. She confirmed that she saw a mysterious figure in the distance.

(Is the person a woman?) Elder Kho Lon thought. (I should be nervous, but I feel relaxed. I feel like I am in the presence of a good friend.) She smiled as she felt warmth. (Yes, indeed. A good friend.)

"Time is returning as it mostly should," the figure called out. "You did it. You saved a life. You saved the timeline. You saved the universe," as Elder Kho Lon smiled. "However..."

"However..." Elder Kho Lon repeated.

(They are a woman.) Elder Kho Lon thought as she wrinkled her nose.

"Two universes that should not have become one have merged..." The hidden woman added as she remained unseen.

"Is that so?" Elder Kho Lon asked as she took a deep breath.

"Yes. With the two merging universes the timeline has been altered, life has been impacted, and significantly changed," continued the hidden woman. "The invader has already changed reality," as she paused for a long moment. "This invader has already shown capabilities beyond the measure of our understanding. The situation is very dangerous."

"Do we have a chance to stop this enemy?" Elder Kho Lon asked. She took a deep breath as her heart began to race.

"We do," replied the woman. "Yet the situation remains very fluid and the road to victory will be a hard long road. Yet the chance of victory is slim at best."

"What is going to happen in the meantime?" Elder Kho Lon asked. She raised her right arm up a bit.

"Time is reversing," explained the mysterious woman. "You shall remember what came to pass," as she took a breath. "Most of the others shall not; including the restored girl Rei Hino, and the new boy Koji Tendo," as she paused for a moment. "Perhaps...Perhaps if the Sailor Senshi should awaken..."

"The Sailor Senshi awaken?" Kho Lon asked as she looked confused.

"If the Sailor Senshi awaken," replied the woman. "Perhaps their memory shall return. Perhaps not," as Elder Kho Lon nodded. "You though, shall know. Know that you saved a life. Know that you saved the timeline. Know that you saved the universe," as she paused for a moment. "Time has almost stopped flowing backwards. When it resumes. Life will be anew."

"Will I remember all this?" began Kho Lon. "Or not?" She sighed as she did her best to understand the cryptic answers from the mysterious woman in the shadows.

"You shall," confirmed the woman. "Time is resuming. You are being returned to your village Joketsuzoku in China. Back," as her voice began to fade, and Elder Kho Lon's vision faded. Elder Kho Lon saw nothing but white even as she still heard her voice. "Back to the way it was before to the merged two universes...And to a forever altered and changed reality...

The two merging universes and the correction of Rei Hino's soul rippled throughout the universe. For example, Rei's mother Risa became pregnant with a girl instead of a boy. While Genma was upset he'd have a daughter he was also excited in a strange way that he couldn't know, much less possibly understand.

Perhaps unknown to Genma Hino is that his love for his wife was a powerful force and if she could love their girl perhaps in time so could he.

Either way time has a way to mend us in ways that we can't conceive and Genma was one such man on the receiving end. Genma's short black hair fell to his shoulders. His black eyes stared into wife's eyes. He wore a black shirt, black pants, black socks, and sneakers. He found himself quite nervous as he stood next to his wife Risa on her right side.

Risa's long black hair was tied into a ponytail. Her black eyes stared into her husband's eyes as he held her hand. Risa wore a black bra covered by a hospital gown. Her right arm was connected to an IV and giving her fluids. Between her legs her doctor continued to help deliver the baby girl for Genma and Risa Hino.

Doctor Ikeda's long blonde hair was tied into a bun. Her blue eyes remained focused on delivering the baby. She wore blue scrubs, white socks, and sneakers. She had two white medical gloves over her hands.

Nurse Anzu Muto sat in a chair near Risa's left side as she wiped the sweat off Risa's face with a damp towel. Nurse Muto's short brown hair was also tied into a ponytail. Her brown eyes focused on Risa. She wore blue scrubs, a pair of gloves, white socks, and sneakers. She stayed on task, to help Risa relax as much as possible.

"Bear down," directed Doctor Ikeda as she looked up and gave an encouraging smile to Risa. "You are almost there. Push Risa…Push."

"Argh," Risa screamed as she pushed. "It hurts." Genma held his wife's hand and smiled.

"Almost there Risa-chan," exhaled Genma as he held his wife's hand.

"I can see the body," Doctor Ikeda calmly said. "You are almost there," as a girl was born. Doctor Ikeda picked her up, she lightly smacked the baby on her back who began to breathe, and cry. She grabbed a pair of scissors and handed it to Genma.

(I'm a father now.) Genma thought. Genma cut the umbilical cord as he smiled. (Risa was right. I feel just as proud having a girl as I would have been had I gotten a boy.) He smiled at his wife as she chuckled despite her pain.

"Congratulations, it's a girl," began Doctor Ikeda as she grabbed a towel, cleaned the baby, and wrapped her in a blanket. "From what I can tell. She seems healthy," as she handed Risa the new baby girl.

"What do you think of the name Rei?" Genma asked his wife.

"Yes," Risa replied with a smile as she stared at the baby girl. She held her. "Rei." Risa stared into Rei's purple eyes and short black hair on her little head.

"She'll be lovely, graceful, and beautiful," Genma muttered as he grinned. "Just like her mother. I think the name will suit her well," as he sat near his wife and daughter. "She's such a lovely little girl just like her mother," as he gave Risa a hug. He gently touched his daughter's head as the baby girl gave him a soft smile.

"Your girl is in excellent health," explained Doctor Ikeda. "We'll need to do some tests in about an hour."

"Of course," replied Risa as she held her daughter in her arms.

"She's beautiful like her mother," added Genma. "I think she'll have a wonderful life," as he kissed his wife.

"As do I," giggled Risa as kissed her husband. She held her daughter Rei in her arms. She stared into Rei's eyes and giggled. "Good morning, Rei," as the baby stared into her eyes. "I am your mother, Risa," as she faced Rei towards her father. "And he is your father, Genma."

"Welcome to the world, Rei," gushed Genma with a smile. "I promise, girl you'll always be loved…"

Nurse Muto left the room as she held Rei gently in her arms. Risa lay on her bed. Genma sat next to her as he gently held her hand.

"Have you thought any more about what we have been talking about," began Risa as she looked into Genma's eyes.

"Well, I," stuttered Genma. "You know I am a martial artist," as he tried to put together a smile for his wife.

"You are," affirmed Risa with a curt smile. "So am I. I continued to get an education."

"That's different," argued Genma. "I have dedicated my life to martial arts."

"I understand," giggled Risa as she gave Genma a large smile. "Ask yourself this would you be okay going to our daughter's first day of Elementary School," as she saw his eyes begin to flicker ever so slightly. "During the Entrance Celebration without a job? When Rei graduates Junior High School?" Genma began to think.

"Risa…" Genma tried to say. He slumped his shoulders slightly as he saw the steely gaze of his wife. He took a deep breath.

"I would be embarrassed if I was her if my daddy was just jobless," finished Risa. "Even regardless of how strong he might be." Genma hung on to her words as she spoke. "Not to mention all her other milestones?"

"You bring up a good point," sighed Genma.

(She's got me up against the wall.) Genma thought as he saw his wife smile. (Her face. She's so beautiful, willful, and fiery.)

"I love you Genma," exhaled Risa with a smile. "Out of all the men I chose you. I want our lives to be as rich as we can make them while taking care of our daughter."

"I'll continue my education," muttered Genma. "In return when Rei is old enough, I'd like your help in training her in the martial arts," as he gave her a dashing smile. He saw his wife think. "What do you say?"

"Of course, dear," agreed Risa. "Our daughter will be an incredible child."

"Yes," cried Genma. "I can live with this," as he hugged Risa.

(What's come over me?) Genma thought as he looked at his wife. (Maybe the love of my life and daughter have changed me.) He smiled. (In the past I never would have considered her request.) He took a deep breath. (Yet now I just did.)

"Thank you," cried Risa as she lightly hugged Genma.

"You are welcome my love," Genma replied. "Oh, by the way. I heard Soun and Izumi's little one Koji has begun to crawl," as he saw Risa giggle.

"Oh, that sounds incredible," gushed Risa with a huge smile. "Once I recover, we should visit the Tendos."

"I'd like that," Genma replied as he smiled. He put his right hand on his face and smiled warmly. "It's been so long since Soun and I traveled the world together."

"Aye," laughed Risa as she thought of those days.

"It was even during that time that we met," Genma said as he smiled at his wife. "Now I have a daughter."

Doctor Ikeda smiled as she entered the hospital room. She saw Risa and Genma enjoy each other's company.

"I got good news," Doctor Ikeda began. She saw the two parents look up at her as Rei slept. "You are ready to be discharged Mrs. Hino."

"That sounds lovely," Risa replied.

"I can't wait to get home," Genma said with a smile.

"I got several papers to help new parents navigate common issues, and other things to expect," explained Doctor Ikeda as she handed Risa the pamphlets. "I'd like you to look over Rei's birth certificate once more before I send it. Once you read it. Please sign," as she handed the birth certificate.

"Of course," replied Genma as he read, and signed it. He handed it to his wife.

"Thank you," gushed Risa as she read, and signed it.

Birth Certificate

Name: Rei Hino

Gender: Female

DOB: 03/28/2007

Father: Genma Hino

Mother: Risa Hino

"Thank you," Doctor Ikeda as she picked up the birth certificate from Risa. She smiled at the new parents. "Good luck. Bye."

"Goodbye," chirped Genma and Risa as they packed up in preparation to go home...

Six-year-old Rei threw a punch at her father. She wore a Gi that covered her body. Genma ducked under the punch as Rei nearly whiffed past his Gi. Rei's black hair was tied into a ponytail and her purple eyes remained focused on the fight before her.

"Good throw girl," yelled out Genma. His black hair was cut short in bob haircut style. His black eyes swarmed with pride at his daughter. He wore a white Gi that covered his body.

(She's getting the hang of it.) Genma thought with a smile.

"Let's see if you can handle more speed," exhaled Genma. He threw more punches, and kicks at her. She dodged all but one of them as she was knocked to the ground. "Not bad."

"Thanks," chirped Rei with a grin as she righted herself and threw a fast punch that connected and struck her father.

"Good…Good," praised Genma. "You got it," as Risa poked her head out of the house.

"Rei, Genma," Risa called out. Her black hair was tied into a bun. Her black eyes enjoyed father and daughter spending time together. She wore a long black dress that fell on her ankles. She wore black socks. "It's almost time for breakfast." Rei threw another punch as Genma blocked it.

(Let's see her handle this.) Genma thought. He did a spin, and an upwards kick which Rei ducked under. He kicked again, threw a punch, and did a twist as he flipped off the ground. Rei ducked under each and did a sweep kick that connected and knocked her daddy to the ground.

"Great," praised Genma with a smile as he got on his feet. "That was almost flawless."

"Thanks, daddy. Let's keep going," gushed Rei as she giggled. "I feel so energetic, happy, and focused."

"We should head in," replied Genma. "We both got to clean up and get ready for your big day, girl."

"Yes, daddy," obeyed Rei softly as her father ruffled her hair.

"We'll spar more soon my fiery girl," exclaimed Genma with a smile as the pair walked in the house. Genma saw the time read 7:15 A.M. "Oops," he laughed as he saw Rei walking upstairs. "We got carried away."

"You always do," exclaimed Risa with a laugh. "Go get cleaned up."

Genma walked to the master bedroom, and bathroom. He took off his Gi, cleaned himself up, and changed his clothes.

(Rei is getting strong.) Genma thought. Genma wore a black suit, black pants, and white socks. (I'm going to feel the spots where she got me for a few hours.) He smiled. (Perfect. She's getting much stronger. She is the perfect heir to the Hino School of Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū.) He took a deep breath. (Plus, I feel better knowing my little girl will be able to defend herself.)

Genma walked back to the kitchen, saw his daughter dressed for school. She wore a red blouse, red skirt, and red socks.

"Well look who is ready for her first day of elementary school," chuckled Genma. He sat down as Risa served them breakfast.

"I humbly receive," the family said together as a light prayer after which everyone dug in. They each began to eat.

"Are you nervous?" Risa asked as she slowly ate. She squeezed Genma's hand lightly.

"Yes, mommy," Rei slowly replied. "I am excited too," as she lightly touched her black hair that fell to her shoulders.

"You'll be fine," chuckled Genma. "Just be yourself. Okay?"

"Of course," Rei replied with a giggle. "Thanks, daddy, mommy. I feel better knowing you got my back."

"What about you?" Risa asked as she faced Genma. "Your first day is tomorrow, right?"

"Aye," agreed Genma. "Who ever knew I would ever work for the governor," as he scratched his face.

"I'm proud of you," gushed Risa. "I just need another year of classes, and I will be able to start teaching students."

"Well, we should eat, and go," exhaled Genma as he saw the time read 7:55 A.M. They finished their meal.

"Aye," agreed Risa. "I am so excited for today. Our daughter is growing up," as Rei lightly blushed.

"That meal was honorable, and a great feast," Rei and Genma said.

"I think that meal was not a feast," Risa replied as she quickly cleaned up the table of the mess the family had made.

The family of three left the house after they got ready. Risa helped her daughter get into the back of the car as Genma got into the driver's seat. Risa saw her daughter buckle herself in and she got into the car on her side. She buckled herself in as Genma began to pull out of the driveway outside their home.

"Well, my girl," soothed Genma. "Soon you'll be in primary school."

"I can't wait," giggled Risa with a smile as she looked back at her daughter. "You'll make plenty of friends."

"I am excited, but nervous," stuttered Rei as she looked outside the car door. Genma drove to her school…

Risa sat on her couch. Her black hair fell on her back. Her black eyes paid attention to her book. She wore an orange blouse and orange skirt. She wore red socks. She flipped a page in her book when she heard her eleven-year-old daughter Rei slowly walk down the stairs.

Rei's long black hair fell to her back. Rei walked over, tears in her purple eyes, as she grew more panicked by the moment.

"What's wrong?" Risa asked as she saw the time read 4:15 P.M.

"Mommy," cried Rei. "I'm bleeding down there," as she barreled into her mother, and gave her a hug.

"I see," Risa said. (Good thing. Genma is still at work.) Risa thought. (This talk is hard enough between a mother and daughter.) "It is normal for a girl your age," as Rei looked at her mother. Her face held a confused and scared look.

"Huh," sniffled Rei between her tears.

"You are going through puberty," Risa began as she wiped away her daughter's tears. She took a deep breath. "Your body is becoming a young woman's body. Once a month you go through a period. It's like this…"

"So, I'm not dying?" Rei asked.

"No, my girl," Risa replied as she wiped away a few tears from Rei's eyes. "Now let's go to the bathroom. I'll teach you what you can do," as she led her daughter to the bathroom.

"Okay," obeyed Rei as she held her mother's hand. Rei was taught by her mother about periods, how to deal with her period, and afterward mother and daughter returned to the living room. "This is so embarrassing," as the young girl sniffled.

"Dry your tears," soothed Risa with a smile. "Let's go out. We'll do some shopping. I'll get red beans, and rice. To celebrate your rite of passage."

"I'd like that," Rei replied as she dried her tears.

"I also notice you are beginning to grow some breasts," added Risa. "So, I'll get you some new clothes, and some training bras."

"Yay," cheered Rei as she lightly giggled. "More clothes."

"First," sang Risa with a smile as she and Rei got ready. "I'll get you a small ice-cream cone. Okay?"

"Thanks mommy," giggled Rei as mother and daughter left the house together. Risa locked the door, unlocked the car, and both began to get into the car…

Elder Kho Lon sat on a chair in her hut as she remained lost in thought. She sighed as she thought back to the day so long ago when her life's direction changed dramatically.

Elder Kho Lon's long white hair hung below her. Her large green eyes smiled. She wore a yellow robe that covered her body with a pink moon in the center. She wore white socks and sneakers. She held a long wooden staff in her right hand.

"Elder Kho Lon," began a female tribesman as she entered the hut. She had long black hair tied into a ponytail. Her black eyes glimmered in the room. She wore a long yellow Gi. She wore short socks and sneakers. "It's just as you said for us to watch out for," as she took a breath. "Our special guest Rei Hino and her father Genma are here in China."

"Good job, Yun Lu," praised Elder Kho Lon. "I guess we can go and begin to welcome our guests," as she began to smile. "First…"

"I did note a curious thing, Elder Kho Lon," added Yun Lu. She saw Elder Kho Lon stand up.

"That is?" Elder Kho Lon asked.

"They were with a woman," replied Yun Lu. "I suspect the girl's mother Risa is here as well." She moved her black hair out of her eyes.

"Interesting," murmured Elder Kho Lon.

(Somehow history has changed.) Elder Kho Lon thought. (It was just Rei and her father in the last timeline.)

"What are our orders, Elder Kho Lon? Yun Lu asked.

"Inform the others that we need to protect the paths," replied Elder Kho Lon. "And all the different ways someone could enter the Jusenkyo area," as she slowly left the hut. Yun Lu followed her. "We can't have any accidents happen this time around. Do I make myself clear?"

"Yes," Yun Lu replied.

"Also, I want you to remind everyone here that if Rei, and her family," exhaled Elder Kho Lon. "Stay here for any reason that they are to be treated with respect even the male," as she paused. "We don't need to cause an incident. Understood? One last thing."

"Yes, elder," Yun Lu replied as she looked at Elder Kho Lon. She took a deep breath as she grew nervous.

"Make sure our hut that has our shared joint operations with our allies is not compromised," ordered Elder Kho Lon.

"I thought that Rei was a Sailor Senshi," Yun Lu replied as she saw her elder scrunch up her face.

"She is," agreed Elder Kho Lon with a toothy grin as Yun Lu nodded. "Luna and Artemis right now prefer if they are not needed that we don't interfere with their normal lives," as Yun Lu nodded in understanding. "It was Queen Serenity's last wish," as she took a deep breath.

"Gotcha," Yun Lu added. "I'll double security around the surrounding areas and inform all our people of the current situation that is ongoing."

"Good," praised Elder Kho Lon. "We made a pact with Luna and Artemis and for the help we get we've linked our people to the Silver Millennium remnants who survived," as she took a deep breath. "It's important we honor our promises."

"Of course, elder," giggled Yun Lu. "It's been a whirlwind few years since we formed the alliance with Luna and Artemis," as Elder Kho Lon nodded. "By the way I almost forgot to tell you in all the excitement. Our operations center in Azabu Jūban District," as she saw Elder Kho Lon smile. "In the Minato Ward was just finished being updated."

"Excellent," Elder Kho Lon said. "Just in time," as she smiled. "You can go inform our people now about our guest," as she waved her off. "We'll have our meeting with Luna and Artemis after Rei and her family leave."

"Of course," gushed Yun Lu as she walked off.

"Hmm," muttered Elder Kho Lon. "I better talk to Shan Pu. We don't need a repeat of history," as she walked off to the hut her great-granddaughter lived in.

Seventeen-year-old Rei sat on pillow next to her mother close to the fire they set up at their campsite in China near a path that leads to Jusenkyo Valley. Rei's long black hair fell to her ass. Her purple eyes looked into the sky for a moment before she looked at her mother again. She wore a red blouse, a red skirt, short red stockings, and long black heels.

"I been meaning to ask," began Risa. Her long black hair fell to her back. Her black eyes stared at her at her birthday girl. Risa wore a black dress that fell to her knees. She wore black socks and sneakers. "How's your Miko training going with Grandpa Hino?"

"It's going well," replied Rei as she smiled seriously. "He says I've gotten real good caring for the shrine."

"That's good," praised Risa as she waved her right hand.

"I've gotten better at Fire Readings too," Rei added as Genma poked his head out of the tent they had set up. Genma had his black hair parted and tied into a ponytail in the back. His glasses covered his black eyes. He wore a white Gi, white socks, and sneakers.

"I am glad to hear it," exhaled Genma. "The Fire Readings have helped you focus better on martial arts," as he returned to the tent. "My father may be eccentric, but he's been a Shrine Priest for a long time."

"Keep at it," gushed Risa as she smiled at her daughter.

"Thanks," chirped Rei as her father rummaged around the tent for a few minutes. He came back out with a smile on his face as he pulled out a container.

"I finally found the chocolate cake," Genma said as he placed the cake on a table. "It got shoved in so deep," as Risa stood up, grabbed her backpack, pulled out candles, and placed them on the cake. Genma pulled out a lighter. He lit each candle one for each of Rei's birthdays.

"Are you ready dear?" Risa asked with pride.

"Yes," replied Rei as she walked to the table. She saw the cake with the candles in it. She smiled. (I am so glad to spend my seventeenth birthday with my family.) Rei thought. (It's nice to have a family trip to China.)

"Go ahead, girl," began Genma as he got out the camera. "I'll get a photo."

"Time to blow out the candles," beamed Risa. "Make a wish."

"Okay," Rei replied as her purple eyes twinkled. (I wish…That my senior year of High School is filled with excitement, love, that I meet all kinds of interesting people, and have several crazy adventures.) Rei thought as she blew out the candles while Genma took a photo.

"Congratulations," exclaimed Genma. "Seventeen years ago, you were born," as he hugged his daughter. He handed her a gift.

"I am so proud of you," Risa added. "You bring joy to our lives," as she handed her daughter a gift, and hugged her.

"Thank you," cried Rei as she hugged her parents back. She opened her father's gift first. She saw a new red Gi. "Oh wow. Thanks daddy."

"It's about time you got a new Gi," explained Genma. "You've had the old one for a while now, girl."

"Yes," happily chirped Rei as she slowly opened her mother's gift. She saw a new diary.

"It's about time you got a second one. I imagine your last diary is close to being filled," exhaled Risa.

"Oh wow," gushed Rei. "Thank you," as she hugged her parents once more.

Genma, Risa, and Rei sat down next to each other and ate their cake. As they took their last bite, they heard a noise and saw an elderly woman with a few other women behind her.

"Who are you?" Genma began as he moved to protect his family. "We want no trouble."

"I didn't mean to startle you. I am Elder Kho Lon. I'm sorry," Elder Kho Lon began. "I live in a nearby village called Joketsuzoku," as she pointed to the sky. "I had no intention of interrupting your celebration," as Genma saw it was close to raining. "It's about to rain. So, I am extending my hospitality to stay at my village for the night. If you will take it."

"Dear," Risa said. "We should take the offer," as she stood up. "We can't have Rei get sick. She'll be starting the new school year soon."

"You are right," agreed Genma. "I already took extra time off too. For this trip," he smiled at Elder Kho Lon. "We agree. Mind helping us pack?"

"Not at all," Elder Kho Lon replied as her allies began to help.

"Hello. My name's Genma Hino," Genma began. He pointed to his wife Risa. "My wife Risa," lastly, he pointed to his daughter. "My daughter Rei. Today is her birthday. She turned seventeen years-old today."

"Hello," gushed Risa as she smiled at Elder Kho Lon who smiled back.

"Pleased to meet you," chirped Rei as the family bowed. Elder Kho Lon returned it.

"It's a pleasure to meet you," exhaled Elder Kho Lon. She faced Rei. "Happy Birthday."

(History changed so much. I was expecting some changes for Rei. Not this much. She's so much politer than before.) Elder Kho Lon thought as she saw the family packed. (I didn't think Genma would become nicer too.) Elder Kho Lon smiled. (History really did change as that woman said it would.)

Sailor Pluto stood at the Gates of Time as she watched time play out before her. Sailor Pluto's long green hair flowed nearly to her knees. Her red eyes remained focused as she saw the upcoming conflict appearing. She wore a white body suit with a black neckline and a short black skirt. She shook her head at all the changes that she was able to gleam.

Sailor Pluto's uniform had a maroon bow with a red jewel in the center covering her breasts and she wore a maroon bow on the back of her outfit. Two white gloves covered her hands and long heeled dress shoes were on her feet. A golden tiara fitted with a red gem sat atop her face. She wore two red earrings on her ears and a red necklace around her neck.

In Sailor Pluto's right hand, she held a silver staff with a heart shape on the top of it. Imbedded were two red jewels on the top and bottom of the heart shape on the top of the staff with a smaller second heart near the top red jewel. The long shaft of the staff was key shaped at two different points of it.

Sailor Pluto sighed as she shook her head when suddenly a female ghostly figure appeared before her. Her eyes blinked when she saw Queen Serenity's ghostly form.

Queen Serenity's long gold twin earrings dangled from her ghostly ears. Her silver hair was in a long odango style hung behind her as her blue eyes twinkled. She wore a long silver dress with a moon on it, silver socks, and high heels. A half-moon was upside-down above her eyes and was partially covered by a golden tiara.

"My queen," gasped Sailor Pluto. "I…How is this possible? I thought I'd never…"

"I can't talk long," gushed Queen Serenity. She gave a smile to her friend. "Until such a time when my daughter Princess Serenity gains the Maboroshi no Ginzuishō."

"So, it is as I feared," began Sailor Pluto. "The Dark Kingdom is back and then there is…" She gulped as she took a breath.

"I see you sensed the changes to our universe too," interrupted Queen Serenity. She saw Sailor Pluto nod. "Such a powerful foe," as she trembled even as an ethereal being. "He not only managed to mingle with my spell, but alter and curse Rei Hino's soul that left her near death..."

"If not for the brave souls who saved her," soothed Sailor Pluto. "Rei would have died, and the Sailor Senshi would have fallen to the Dark Kingdom." She saw her queen nod. "The sacrifice that was made has led to ripples in time that I can't even predict…I do know one thing," as she paused. "The universe will be in trouble when our mysterious foe decides to reappear…"

"That is why I am here," sobbed Queen Serenity. She raised her right arm. "With the Dark Kingdom poised to attack soon," as she shook her ghostly head. "Luna, Artemis, and our new ally the Joketsuzoku will have no choice." She paused. "But to take the fight to them along with Princess Serenity and the Inner Sailor Senshi."

"Aye," agreed Sailor Pluto as she closed her eyes for a moment. "What is the plan?"

"For now, our foe," replied Queen Serenity. "Has not taken any action," as she put her right hand back down. "I know the Outer Solar Sailor Senshi will be needed to topple this mighty threat in tandem with Princess Serenity and the Inner Sailor Senshi," as she saw Sailor Pluto nod in agreement. "So, for now let's wait to revive Sailor Uranus and Sailor Neptune. If we play…"

"…Then we risk our enemy gaining more of a foothold," gasped Sailor Pluto. "Shall I wait until such a time that you give me the go-ahead?"

"Yes, Sailor Pluto," affirmed Queen Serenity. "We shall wait. Inform Artemis not to interact, interfere, or observe any of the Outer Solar Sailor Senshi anymore until I give the signal, Sailor Pluto."

"Gotcha," obeyed Sailor Pluto as she took a deep breath. "I shall do as you instruct, Queen Serenity."

"Good," praised Queen Serenity. "I must go and gather more strength," as her ghostly form began to vanish. "Good luck to us all, and bye for now my friend…" Sailor Pluto waved bye to her friend as Queen Serenity vanished from sight.

"Things are worse off than I thought," exhaled Sailor Pluto as she shook her head. "If Queen Serenity is worried too," as she walked to the entrance of the Gates of Time. "Then it looks like it will be time for all of us to get our hands involved in this struggle to survive," as she sighed. "I should have a meeting with Artemis then…"

Rei awoke and looked around. She saw her guestroom at the Joketsuzoku Village. She stood up and stretched. She wore a pair of red pajamas.

(Oh right.) Rei thought. (We spent the night at a village called Joketsuzoku.) She sat up. She got out of bed, grabbed her red bra, red panties, white socks, red blouse, and red skirt.

Rei walked to the bathroom in her room that she was a guest in. She took off her pajamas and looked in the mirror as she stared at herself for a moment.

(My figure has gotten very feminine.) Rei thought as she giggled cutely. (I hope I can find a boyfriend soon.) She sighed. She placed her dirty clothes in the hamper. She walked over tub; she turned on the hot water and checked the temperature. She climbed in the tub, and felt the water rise over her breasts.

"So good," Rei said. "I can feel the aches slowly fade. It's too bad I can't stay here forever." She grabbed soap and began to wash her body. After some time, she put some shampoo in her hair and washed her hair slowly.

"I feel so relaxed," giggled Rei as she enjoyed sitting in the tub for several minutes. "I better get out," as she drained the water, stood up, grabbed a towel, and dried herself. "I feel so refreshed." She put one foot out of the tub, followed by the other.

"I should be a good guest," exclaimed Rei. "I'm sure they'd want me to hang the towel up so it can dry," as she put the wet towel up to dry. She wrapped another towel around her body as she walked to the mirror. She began to slowly brush and dry her hair with a dryer.

"Time to apply some makeup," Rei giggled as she sat down and began to apply her makeup to her lips, cheeks, and eyelashes. "There we go," as she put away the makeup and cleaned up the sink area that she used the supplies on. "All ready to go."

"That's better," muttered Rei as she stared at herself in the mirror. She saw her red blush, pink lipstick, and red mascara over her eyelashes. She smiled at her cute face.

(I don't know why.) Rei thought. (I just love the color red.)

"Hehehe," giggled Rei. (Time to get dressed.) Rei thought as she put the towel around her in the hamper, and slowly pulled her panties to her ass, placed the bra cups over her breasts. (I look so sexy.) Rei thought as she smiled. She put her blouse and skirt on. Lastly, she put her socks on and left the room.

Rei left the hut that she slept in the night before after she put on her high heels. She saw her parents at a table eating breakfast. She walked over.

"Good morning my fiery girl," Genma said smiling. "Someone took their sweet time today. You look great."

"I wanted to take the time to care for myself this morning," replied Rei. She blushed as she sat down next to her mother, and slowly began to eat.

"You look wonderful," claimed Risa.

"Like mother like daughter," beamed Genma as he kept eating. Elder Kho Lon walked over and sat down. A younger girl with purple hair sat down next to her.

"Morning," began Elder Kho Lon as she began to eat. "This is my great-granddaughter, Shan Pu." Shan Pu's long purple hair was tied in two lengths that fell to her ass. She wore a yellow blouse with a pink moon in the center of her blouse and a yellow skirt that fell to her knees. She wore white socks and sneakers.

"Hello," exhaled Risa as she smiled at Shan Pu.

"Hi," added Genma.

"Pleased to meet you," giggled Rei. "I'd like to be friends."

"Shan Pu would like that too," gushed Shan Pu as she started to eat. (She's so nice.) Shan Pu thought.

"That's what I like to see," laughed Elder Kho Lon. "Two young ones getting along. Warms this old woman's heart."

"I'm curious," began Genma as he took a deep breath. "Why did you invite us to your village? Were you observing us?"

"Yes," Elder Kho Lon replied. "We the Joketsuzoku are a dominated female martial arts tribe," as Genma paid attention to her words. "We normally don't allow outsiders here. We've had trouble with a male dominated tribe called the Musk Dynasty in the past," as she saw her guests panic. "Don't worry you are honored guests."

"I see," stuttered Risa as she lightly gulped.

"I am curious," began Genma, "why did you invite us then?"

"I've observed the martial arts you use is an off shoot of the Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū that Grandmaster Happosai started," explained Elder Kho Lon as Genma stared at her in shock.

"How do you know Grandmaster Happosai? Genma asked as he got red in the face.

"Daddy," gasped Rei as she got a confused look on her face.

"I've known Grandmaster Happosai for a long time," began Elder Kho Lon. "He's not allowed in this village."

"If that is so…" Risa began as she gulped in fear.

"Why did I invite you?" Elder Kho Lon asked as she interrupted Risa. "Your daughter is very gifted for a martial artist her age. I've lived for hundreds of years. I've never felt anyone whose Ki is as strong as hers. A martial artist of her caliber is welcome here," she added with a partial lie.

(They must not know that Rei was once Sailor Mars in her past life.) Elder Kho Lon thought. (I can't influence her decisions.)

"Is that so," grinned Genma as he patted his daughter on the back lightly. "How strong could she get?"

"Hard to say," Elder Kho Lon replied as she winked at Rei. "She's got great potential."

"That's wonderful honey," Risa beamed at her daughter.

"It's great to hear," exhaled Rei, "I also just want to live some of my life as a normal girl." She lightly blushed. She raised her right hand up in excitement. "Go to school, work at the shrine as a Miko, and get a career as a singer." (Oh My.) Rei thought as she blushed. (I am so chatty today.) She giggled. "Maybe I'll meet a boy, get a boyfriend…"

"A boyfriend," gasped Genma as he got red in face. His heart skipped a beat from his new fear. "Why that?"

"It's a natural thing," explained Risa as she distracted Genma from getting upset.

"I guess," replied Genma as he ate some food. (I don't want her to date.) Genma thought as his heart kept racing. (She's just my little girl.)

"I understand you have a busy day ahead," added Elder Kho Lon as she changed the subject to ease the tension. "Before you go; how about a spar with my great-granddaughter, Rei?" She saw Rei and Shan Pu gush in pure excitement.

(Her father isn't ready to face that part of her life just yet. Not like it would ever go at his speed.) Kho Lon thought as she lightly smiled. (That girl has so many dreams. I hope she can achieve most of them. It's nice to hear that she's so lively. It makes it worth it to have been a part of saving her soul so long ago.)

"That would be fun," gushed Rei as she got excited.

"Yes," agreed Shan Pu. "We spar soon."

"Sounds fun," Risa replied. (Elder Kho Lon's smooth.) Risa thought as she sighed, a breath of relief. (Genma will soon be distracted.)

"I can't wait," exhaled Genma with giddy anticipation as the group continued to eat after Elder Kho Lon distracted him.

"I am so excited," gushed Rei. "I look forward to our match."

"So do I," beamed Shan Pu as they kept eating.

(I just must remember to keep calm.) Shan Pu thought. (It's not easy having to adjust how I need to react.) She picked up some food. (Our people have changed in the last five years…)

Meanwhile, near the Europa Moon of Jupiter floated a formless being covered in shadow and darkness. The evil was imprisoned by a giant sphere with seven domes, and he radiated pure evil. He was known as The Fiery Soul. He watched the events on Earth with great interest.

"So, my curse on Sailor Mars failed," cackled The Fiery Soul. "Not like it matters. Time may have reverted for the two merged Universes and for all of them." He laughed evilly. "They have no idea though my people and I are immune from changes in time," as his energy spiked higher each second. "So, while time reset for them it did not for me or my people. Mhahahaha."

The Fiery Soul looked around and made a beeline for the surface of Europa. He looked around, grinned, and began to summon his energy.

"A perfect spot to build my castle and land," growled The Fiery Soul as he began to use pure evil energy to build the area from the ground up. "It's been nearly a hundred billion years since the people of Valtelia sealed me inside this Soul Dome," as the area continued to be built all around. "Those fools made many mistakes," as he laughed.

The castle was finished building. It was made of black negative energy. A single entrance stood near a moat. A small river ran around the castle. On the left side was a dark tower that reached high into the sky. On the right side stood a set of barracks for an army.

"I nearly escaped the Soul Dome then," snarled The Fiery Soul. "When their formula was not calibrated properly to my power." He began to enter his new castle. "I shall call it Castle Darkstorm," as he cackled. "One of their mistakes was creating seven domes around the Soul Barrier with seven souls of their people who willingly sacrificed their own souls to seal me."

The Fiery Soul saw the empty spaces in his new castle. He floated up to the second floor and onto the third floor. His form floated to his throne and his energy hovered over that spot…

"When the time is right," cackled the Fiery Soul as he began to watch the events on Earth unfold. "I shall strike…And strike hard I shall. Mhahahaha…."

Rei walked over to the small wooden pillar in the center of town. She wore her new red Gi. Rei's long black hair was tied into a pair of pigtails. She wore red socks and red sneakers.

(Let's focus, girl.) Rei thought. (Shan Pu looks like she knows what she's doing.) She jumped on her end of a wooden pillar at each end connected by a short wooden bridge.

"I am excited to battle you," chirped Shan Pu. (Must stay calm.) Shan Pu thought. (I must not get angry if she wins.) She jumped on her end and saw all her fellow Joketsuzoku drawn in to watch the two fight. She also saw Rei's parents nearby too. "Let's give this our best," as she got ready to fight.

"I'll do my best for the honor of the Hino School of Musabetsu Kakutō Ryū," began Rei with a smile. She and Shan Pu smiled and bowed before each other.

"Begin," yelled out Elder Kho Lon when the gong went off.

Rei dashed towards Shan Pu as she threw a quick punch which Shan Pu ducked under. Soon each girl threw punches, did kicks, ducked, and jumped out of the way of each other's attacks. Rei smiled as she bounced off the wooden pillar and sailed over Shan Pu's head and landed on the other side of the battle arena.

"You, too too good," praised Shan Pu as she ducked under the way of a punch. She was unable to evade Rei's kick that she followed up with. Shan Pu bounced off the platform and got a return kick in. Rei righted herself as each girl landed back on her starting end.

"Whoa very nice," smiled Rei as she grew serious. She waved her hand in a challenging motion. "Give me your all."

"This is fun," giggled Shan Pu. "Challenge accepted, Rei," as Shan Pu and Rei launched more attacks against each other.

"Rei's improved," Genma said. "She's still rough around the edges," as he smiled.

"She's gotten better," agreed Risa as she saw her daughter and Shan Pu throw more punches at each other.

(Interesting.) Elder Kho Lon thought. (Rei's not physically as strong as she was. Though I do note her ability to dodge and anticipate Shan Pu's movements is much better than it was. Very interesting.) She stared as each girl launched another impressive salvo.

The spectators once more saw Rei and Shan Pu attack, dodge, kick, and roll their way out of several attacks.

(Shan Pu's having a lot of fun.) Elder Kho Lon thought. She watched the pair fight. (Of course, she has also been looking forward to this spar for a very long time.)

(Time to end this.) Rei thought. (She's really good.) Rei wiped her chin, grinned, and leaped in the air, as Shan Pu dodged by rolling out of the way. (Just as I planned.) Rei flipped over Shan Pu and did a sweep kick that knocked Shan Pu off the wooden pillar battle arena.

(Whoa.) Shan Pu thought. (She knocked me down in a split second. She's good.) Shan Pu smiled as she got back up. Rei jumped down.

"You two were impressive," praised Elder Kho Lon. "It was fun to watch Rei and Shan Pu. Go and get cleaned up."

"Shan Pu happy," cried Shan Pu. "That was a fun fight." Each girl bowed before the other. "Thanks, great-grandmother."

"I had fun too," agreed Rei as she held out her hand which Shan Pu shook. "Thanks for the spar, Shan Pu. Thanks, Elder Kho Lon."

(Rei's abilities are amazing.) Elder Kho Lon thought as she saw them walk away. (I am also proud of Shan Pu. She didn't let the anger get the best of her. Not like she did in the other timeline.) She took a deep breath. (Looks like my lectures reached her after all.)

Rei smiled at Elder Kho Lon as she neared the exit of the Joketsuzoku village with her parents. Elder Kho Lon shook Genma's hand, gave Risa a hug and lastly, she gave Rei a hug. Rei carried a medium bag in her left hand.

"Stay strong child," began Elder Kho Lon as she whispered in Rei's ear. "I'm rooting for you, Rei Hino."

"Thanks," Rei replied lightly as she disengaged the hug. Rei walked over to her parents.

"Are you ready to go?" Genma asked as he had a huge backpack on his back. "We got to get back to Japan."

"Yes daddy," Rei replied.

"We'll try to visit again," added Risa as she had a smaller backpack on her back. She saw Shan Pu walking over to their spot.

"Great-grandmother?" Shan Pu asked with a cute smile. "Is okay if I travel with them to the docks?"

"If our guests are okay with it," replied Elder Kho Lon.

"That's fine with me," murmured Genma as his wife nodded in agreement.

"This'll be fun," squealed Rei as Genma shook his head.

(Two hyper teen girls. This'll be fun. I'm going to have a headache.) Genma thought. He did his best to smile. (Guess I'll need a drink after this trip. Perhaps I'll visit my old friend Soun Tendo as soon as I can.) He took a deep breath.

(It shouldn't be too hard to visit him in the Minato Ward.) Genma thought. (In his home in the Azabu Jūban District.) He smiled at his family and Shan Pu. (Hard to believe Soun moved to the Azabu Jūban District in the first place.)

"Cool," gushed Shan Pu as the four set out after Shan Pu hugged her great-grandmother goodbye. Elder Kho Lon saw Genma, Risa, Rei, and Shan Pu leave the village…

Elder Kho Lon walked into her operations center in the biggest hut. She saw Luna, one of the cats from the planet Mau. Luna's black hair hung on her body and red eyes looked up at her. Luna's half-moon was above her eyes. She smiled as she saw her ally. Luna gave a nod to Elder Kho Lon, and she pressed a button on the computer.

On the big screen in the room appeared Artemis the other Mau before Luna and Elder Kho Lon. Artemis's white fur stood out as did his blue eyes. His half-moon was above his eyes. He looked at his allies.

"A very good morning to you Luna and Elder Kho Lon," chirped Artemis.

"Morning, Artemis and Elder Kho Lon," chuckled Luna with a smile. She took a deep breath and smiled at her two allies. "A lot has to be discussed today."

"Good morning," began Elder Kho Lon. "Luna and Artemis. Aye. Shall we get started?"

"Aye. For starters. Good work," began Luna as she raised her right paw. "I see that we've stopped an accident happening at Jusenkyo this time around," as Elder Kho Lon nodded.

"Aye," agreed Elder Kho Lon. "Also, our operations center was just updated in the Azabu Jūban District," as she saw the two Mau grin.

"Perfect," chuckled Artemis. "It's too bad you two," as his blue eyes teared up. "With everything that Minako Aino and I have uncovered in London, England," as he took a deep breath. "I don't see how we can avoid waking up the other Inner Sailor Senshi and Princess Serenity," as he saw Luna sigh. "We got solid evidence that the Dark Kingdom is back."

"So, it's not a random set of youma reviving?" Luna asked as Artemis shook his head.

"No," affirmed Artemis. "I don't think we can put off respecting Queen Serenity's wish any longer," as he took a deep breath. "Elder Kho Lon," as he looked at her. "I assume you'd have no problems manually running our Azabu Jūban District operations center?"

"That works for me," affirmed Elder Kho Lon as she saw both Moon Cats nod. "I've set up a restaurant called the Nekohanten there," as she saw her ally's smile. "In the back is where the operations center is based with the best technology and security systems available."

"Minako and I will finish up our business in London, England," began Artemis as he looked serious. "If our investigations are right the attacks by the Dark Kingdom will be focused at the Azabu Jūban District," as he raised his left paw. "Good thing we know where all the Inner Sailor Senshi and Princess Serenity are at."

"No doubt," agreed Luna as she sighed. "I'll be near Princess Serenity and awaken her if the need truly arises," as Artemis and Elder Kho Lon nodded in agreement. Luna faced Elder Kho Lon. "By the way. Have your scientists and curse specialists learned about that nasty curse that nearly killed Rei Hino in the other timeline?"

"No," raged Elder Kho Lon. "We've poured over everything we humans know, the information you two shared with us," as she shook her head. "It's nothing that we've even remotely heard of until after and even then."

"Interesting," mused Luna as she took a deep breath. "So still at square one," as her allies nodded. "All we know is some foe out there cursed her to be born a boy, cursed that male soul, and nearly killed her." She paused. "After Ranma Hino fell into Nyannīchuan, otherwise known as the Spring of drowned girl." She closed her eyes. "I feel in my heart things will get worse."

"I agree," muttered Artemis as he took a deep breath. "The most important thing of course is that Rei survived thanks in part to Elder Kho Lon." He gave her a smile. "What worries me is that history has changed so much these last seventeen years," as he looked thoughtful. "I am worried about those aspects of the other timeline that have bled into this timeline."

"The good thing is when I saw Rei," explained Elder Kho Lon. "Is that she seems not be suffering any ill effects by the curse," as she took a deep breath. "In fact, I'd go so far as to say that girl is very lively."

"That's good," added Luna with a smile. "I observed the same in her when I saw her last," as she paused. "It's not easy having to keep an eye on multiple souls," as she faced Artemis. She took a deep breath. "What about the Outer Solar Sailor Senshi?"

"I heard from Sailor Pluto," replied Artemis as he took a breath. "Apparently Queen Serenity's ghost spoke to her some time ago," as he saw Luna's and Elder Kho Lon's eyes grow wide. "Sailor Pluto told me we should focus on Princess Serenity and Inner Sailor Senshi," as he saw them nod. "She said to leave the Outer Senshi to her and Queen Serenity."

"We'll respect Queen Serenity's wish then," began Elder Kho Lon. "I am sure she has a plan," as she took a deep breath.

"No doubt," agreed Luna. "Then you two," as she closed her eyes for a second. "We'll leave the Outer Solar Sailor Senshi to Sailor Pluto and Queen Serenity."

"I agree," Artemis added. He gave a smile. "I got to go you two. Stay safe, Luna, Elder Kho Lon."

"You too," added Elder Kho Lon. "We'll keep looking into this."

"In the meantime," exhaled Luna. "I'll return and keep an eye on Princess Serenity at the Azabu Jūban District," as she took a deep breath. "If the need arises, I'll awaken her to her new powers of Sailor Moon," as she looked at Artemis. "Keep us informed. Later Artemis," as she saw the screen fade out. "Bye for now Elder Kho Lon," as she gave a big smile.

Elder Kho Lon gave Luna a nod and she took off. Elder Kho Lon remained in the operations center as her and her staff continued to work…

(So, it seems as if the conflict with the Dark Kingdom will be in full swing soon.) Elder Kho Lon thought. (I guess it is a good thing that I approached Luna and Artemis many years ago.) She took a deep breath as she began to look for her files. (The biggest thing is finding ways to help in any way against the Dark Kingdom.)

(I wonder what will be in store for us all.) Elder Kho Lon thought. She took a deep breath. (Well, no matter what it is. I'll stand by my allies...)

Genma sat in the chair as he smiled at his friend Soun Tendo. Genma took a deep breath as he parted his black hair out of his eyes that fell to his neck. His black eyes were covered by his glasses. He wore a black business suit, black pants, and black socks. He sat down before a shogi board as he continued his game with his friend Soun Tendo.

Soun's black hair fell to his back, his black eyes focused on the shogi board before him. He wore a black business suit, a white undershirt, black pants, and white socks. As Soun stared at the shogi board.

(It's been some time since I had a drink and played a game of shogi with Soun.) Genma thought as he moved a piece.

"So good to see you, old friend," Soun said as he laughed. "It's been a few weeks. You are in great shape as usual." He smiled at his friend. "And look at us, old friend," as both friends laughed. "Both of us dressed respectfully," as he took his turn.

"I know," laughed Genma. "My family keeps me busy," as he moved another piece on the shogi board. "So does my job."

"Who knew you'd ever work for the government," replied Soun. "After all the crazy things we used to do," as he took his turn.

"Don't I know it," reminisced Genma as the sunlight glared off his glasses. He moved another piece. "I think back on the two events that changed my life." He took a sip of his sake and gave his friend a smile. "The first is I chose to date Risa over Nodoka."

"Why did you pick Risa?" Soun asked as he took his turn.

"I was drawn to her fiery spirit, her strong sense of will, her incredible beauty," replied Genma as he took another sip of his drink. "The second is when Risa refused to acknowledge the engagement plans, we once thought of."

"Oh yes," laughed Soun. "Didn't she get your father, and my wife Izumi involved?" He took a sip of sake as Genma smiled lightly. "We both got heavily chewed out."

"Yes. My old man is a unique person, he's an old pervert much like another we both know," affirmed Genma as both men's faces grew in fear as they trembled. "Risa is a fiery woman. I love her for it though. Rei is just as fiery as her mother." He took a turn. "How are your children? I know it's been rough since Izumi died."

"It has," agreed Soun. "Kasumi is going to college. So is Nabiki. And Koji is about to start his senior year of High School," as he took a sip of sake. "Who knows where I would be if not for my children," as he took his turn. "I don't know which of them got the courage. It was during my depression after she died that they came and talked to me," as he wiped away a tear.

"No doubt that conversation was rough," chuckled Genma. "Yet it seems it was the catalyst you needed to move on with your life," as he saw his friend nod.

"It was hard but," agreed Soun. "I've moved on with my life because of that day. I love them," as he took a deep breath. "The dojo business I run is going well. How about you?"

"I thought the hardest day of my life," began Genma, "was when I started my education again," as Soun nodded. "It was the same feeling I got when I first got the job working for the governor," as he took his next turn. "Old friend. Those were the easy days…My heart about stopped when Rei said she wanted a boyfriend," as Soun laughed. Genma took a sip of sake.

"Whoever knew we'd have a conversation like this," laughed Soun. He took another turn and took a drink of his sake.

"What's so funny?" Genma asked. He saw his friend give him a smile. Genma thought for a moment and took his turn.

"I understand the feeling is all," laughed Soun. "This coming from the men who once swore we'd engaged our children. Now we get scared when our children talk about dating," as he took his turn. "We've really changed."

"I guess we have," agreed Genma. "I do wonder how things would be if I married Nodoka…Well enough on those thoughts," as he took another sip. "Life's good enough."

"Don't I know it," agreed Soun as the pair continued their game of shogi. Soun and Genma each took a sip of sake. Genma took his turn as Soun began to think about his move…

Seventeen-year-old Mamoru Chiba stood before a pair of graves in the Azabu Jūban District Cemetery. His short black hair hung on his head. His blue eyes stared into the graves of his parents. He wore a green outer jacket that covered a black shirt, and blue jeans held up with a black belt. He wore white socks and black dress shoes on his feet.

"Mom," began Mamoru as he looked at her grave. "Dad," as he looked at his father's grave. "I'm starting my last year of High School in a few days," as he put some flowers around their graves. "I've done my best to honor the promise you had written in your wills that I read after the car accident that took your lives."

Mamoru stood up and bowed before each grave one more time. He turned around and raised his right arm into the air and began to walk to his black car.

(One thing that concerns me.) Mamoru thought as he reached his car. (Are my recurring dreams. Where I am a prince of earth in love with the princess of the moon.) He opened his car door and sat down. He closed his door. (Yet it feels so real, but every time I try to learn more I get nowhere.) He started his car.

"Still," gushed Mamoru. "I have been having those dreams more often than not lately," as he began to drive. "In the meantime, I should think about getting ready for my last year of High School and pouring over the data I got last year," as he stopped at a green light. "Maybe I can get some answers on why my parents died…"

Seventeen-year-old Usagi Tsukino took a deep breath as she walked downstairs from the second floor of her home in the Azabu Jūban District of the Minato Ward in Tokyo, Japan. Her blonde hair was in an odango style curled into a pair of buns at the top of her head. Her hair fell to her ass.

Usagi's blue eyes glimmered on the stairway as she made her way down the steps to the first floor. She wore a yellow blouse, a yellow skirt that fell to her knees. She wore white socks. She walked into the kitchen and saw her mother Ikuko Tsukino.

Ikuko's long blue hair fell to her back. Her black eyes smiled at her eldest child. She wore an orange blouse covered with a white apron. She wore an apricot skirt. She wore white socks. She took a deep breath.

"Good morning, Usagi. Well, someone's up early," giggled Ikuko.

"Morning, mom," gushed Usagi as she hugged her mother. "I've gotten better at being an early riser that even during breaks I'm getting up earlier," as she sat down. "Have you heard from dad and Shingo yet?"

"Aye," affirmed Ikuko. "They'll be done with their camping trip this afternoon," as she finished preparing breakfast. "I'm so proud of you, Usagi," as she served her daughter her breakfast. "Ever since your last year of compulsory education you've turned your education around, dear."

"I did," agreed Usagi as she blushed and then lightly giggled. "Even if my habit of oversleeping rarely still happens."

"That's true," giggled Ikuko as she sat down to eat her meal with her daughter…

Luna perched on a tree outside a bedroom inside an apartment on a quiet street in the Azabu Jūban District. The moon cat smiled as she saw a seventeen-year-old girl with short blue hair and blue eyes. The girl wore a blue dress that fell to her knees. She wore blue socks. She sat on a chair before a desk as she remained focused on her studying.

(Even after all this time.) Luna thought. (Ami Mizuno still is a real scholar.) She blinked her eyes and shook her head. A few tears falling out. (Why did it have to be this way? If only Elder Kho Lon, Artemis and I did not have to involve Princess Serenity and Inner Sailor Senshi into the upcoming conflict with the Dark Kingdom.)

Luna saw Ami stand up, stretch, and smile. She saw Ami go into her closet and pull-out clean clothes. In a few moments Luna saw Ami leave her room. Luna stood up, stretched, and jumped off the tree.

(Still.) Luna thought. (I'll just awaken Princess Serenity first as Sailor Moon.) She gave a nod. (Maybe with luck I won't need to awaken Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars, or Sailor Jupiter.) She shook her head. (It's just hope. I know that…)

Luna looked at Ami's apartment once more. She gave a short somber look, then she turned around and began to make her way to…

Rei closed her bedroom door. She wore a red dress that fell to her knees. She wore red socks. She took a deep breath, and she plopped on her bed. She closed her eyes as she cried.

(We are moving?) Rei thought with tears. (This is so unfair.) She began to heavier cry as she looked out of her window. She lay down in silence for several long moments.

{Knock. Knock.}

"Come in," cried Rei as she wiped away some tears. She heard her bedroom door open. She saw her mother. "Why do we have to move mom?" Rei sat up.

"I wish we didn't have to make you move either my dear," began Risa. She sat next to her daughter and lightly began rubbing her back. "Your father got a promotion. He's been given more responsibilities. Which means we must move to the Minato Ward."

"I get that," sniffled Rei as she hugged her mother. "I'll just miss my friends, my school, and this neighborhood," as she cried it out. "I've only ever lived here, mom. I'm so scared."

"I know, sweetie. I know," soothed Risa. "We'll be moving to a house in the Azabu Jūban District," as she paused a moment. "The house is near the Azabu Jūban Hikawa Shrine," as she pulled back and stared into her daughter's eyes. "You and your grandfather luckily got transferred there. The old staff retired."

"It's just not fair," sniffled Rei. "I don't want to say bye to my friends," as she picked up a tissue from her stand. "Or my childhood home," as she used the tissue to blow her nose.

"I know dear but," exhaled Risa. "You have to be a big girl, and realize change is a part of life," as she hugged Rei again. "Can you be strong for me?"

"I'll try," mumbled Rei as she returned the hug.

"That's my girl," praised Risa. "You should see your friends and say goodbye. While you still have time, Rei."

"Yes mother," obeyed Rei as she got up, and grabbed a change of clothes. (I'll really miss the Nakano Ward.) Rei thought. She saw her mother leave her room and close the door. Rei walked over to her window and looked outside for a moment, tears in her eyes as she saw familiar sights one more time…

Seventeen-year-old Makoto Kino stood in her kitchen before the sink. Her chestnut hair was tied into a ponytail by a green hair tie. Her green eyes focused on cleaning the dishes. She wore pink earrings in her ears. She wore a green blouse, green skirt, and green socks. She heard her father walk into the room and she gave him a nod.

Renzo Kino gave a teary smile to his daughter Makoto. He had short brown hair and brown eyes. He wore a black business suit, pants, and socks.

"I'm sorry for last night," Renzo began as he looked at his daughter. "I still mourn the loss of your mother Aiya, Makoto," as he saw her dry her hands. "I miss her so much and…I am sorry I been so distant since her death."

"Dad I," sniffled Makoto as she walked over to their kitchen table. She gave him a deep hug. "I miss her so much too."

"I was supposed to be on that plane too, sweetie," explained Renzo as he pulled away from the hug. "My boss made me stay a day later," as he trembled. "So, we were going to meet up for our vacation in Hawaii the following night," as he saw her look up. "You were at my mom's when I got the call," as he held his daughter. "I was so devastated and more I felt guilty."

"Guilty?" Makoto asked as she saw her father struggle to stand up. She helped him walk over to their living room and helped him sit down.

"Yes," supplied Renzo. "I was so sure that my wife, your mother would be safe," as he held his hands to his face. "I felt my whole world crumble around me," as he hugged his daughter again. "I was never the same man after she died," as he held his daughter. "Oh, sure I raised you, took care of you, and all that, but I never told you how I feel…I love you Makoto."

"I love you too, dad," cried Makoto.

"After our fight last night," sighed Renzo. He took a deep breath. "I went out on a walk, and I saw a father embrace his daughter after their own trauma," as he pulled away. "It was then I realized how terrible a father I have been," as he saw his daughter shake her head. "No. It's okay, Makoto. Part of my job as your father is to help you deal with your own emotions."

"Dad," soothed Makoto as she trembled. She shifted in her seat as she saw her father wipe his tears.

"Yes," affirmed Renzo. "Your mom would not want me floundering as I have been." He saw his daughter's mouth hung open. "I promise to be a better dad," as he gave her a smile. "I wish we would talk more, but I have got to go to work," as he saw his daughter nod. He gave her a hug. "I would like to go out to eat when I get home. Would you like that?"

"I would love that," Makoto said. She saw her father stand up, give her a smile. "Have a good shift, dad."

"Thanks, Makoto," gushed Renzo. "We'll talk more tonight. I promise," as he saw her smile happily. "I love you," as he walked over to the shoe rack. He sat down and got his dress shoes on. He gave her a smile.

"I love you, dad," gushed Makoto as she saw her father leave the house…

Seventeen-year-old Minako Aino sat down in her family's apartment in London, England. She sat in her bedroom on a chair and faced her bed as Artemis sat on Minako's bed. Minako's long blond hair fell to her ass. Artemis faced her.

Minako wore a red bow in her hair. Her blue eyes glimmered at her friend, advisor, and mentor Artemis. She wore a yellow dress that fell to her knees. She wore a pair of yellow socks.

"I take it by your face, Artie," Minako began as Artemis groaned. "That everything went well during the meeting?"

"It's Artemis," groaned Artemis as he saw Minako laugh. "But yes, the meeting went very well," as he looked up at her. "How about you, Minako? Did you track down that energy?"

"Aye," replied Minako as she giggled. "It was a youma as we thought," as she sighed. She took a breath. "From the Dark Kingdom of course…No mistake," as she grew sad. She closed her and eyes and wiped away her tears. "I don't see how we can get by without Princess Serenity, Sailor Mars, Sailor Jupiter, and Sailor Mercury."

"So, it has truly come to this," sighed Artemis as he raised his paw. "Luna, and Elder Kho Lon were hoping it was not to be."

"Speaking of the others," gushed Minako with a worried look. "How are they doing?"

"Very well," exhaled Artemis. "Are of them are healthy, hale, and lively," as he saw Minako smile. "Even Rei seems to have not suffered any ill effects from her curse."

"That's good," sighed Minako as she closed her eyes for a moment. "I am glad. I was so terrified when I learned what she went through…"

"Aye," sobbed Artemis. "Just remember, Minako once they regain their powers," as he paused for a moment. "Until their memories return through the Maboroshi no Ginzuishō; neither of us." He paused for a moment. "Can reveal our memories of our lives during the Silver Millennium Empire. Okay?"

"Of course," agreed Minako. "My memories only returned we think because I was the leader of the Inner Sailor Senshi," as she giggled. "I happily returned to my duties."

"Aye. I think so too," gushed Artemis. "Shall we return to work?" He saw her nod and they left the room together…
