While the imposter tried in vain to break down the door, Rick and the voice argued, as it seemed to be safe.

"What the fuck are you? Were you the one who caused the door to close in the office?"

"It's a long story. And yes, I threw the door on that animatronic. I told you; I'm VERY real."

"That thing had almost nothing animatronic about it. It looked real, and I wouldn't be surprised if something like that was used as a weapon. And wait a minute, couldn't you, I don't know, blow his head off or something?"

"I see that you more or less know what they were doing, right? And I could have blown it up by now if it weren't for the fact that it would give me away."

"Wait, what?"

"I know, I'm going to tell you, it will seem crazy, but you must pay attention to me; Every animatronic you've come across feels pain, constantly—"

"ARE YOU SERIOUS?"

"YES, and please let me speak; they feel it because they are possessed by the souls of the poor victims who were kidnapped and tortured by Fazbear Entertainment. So what Harry Fitzgerald told you in that film is completely true."

"Fuck..."

"They want to conduct experiments with animatronics and the substances they secrete; the agony and the remnant."

"Wait a minute, are you telling me that agony exists in a liquid state?"

"Yes. It is produced by pain itself, in case it wasn't obvious. And the other is produced by the cursed objects, of the soul itself. In short, they tried to modify these substances for their benefit."

"How do you know all of this? And you have not answered my first question; WHAT are you?"

"Hey, chill-"

"To chill? I ALMOST DIED LIKE THREE OR FOUR TIMES."

"Sorry, you're right. You have every right in the world to put yourself like that. I understand you. To what I was going; my name is Evan Afton, and I've been dead for a long time, since 1983. My father was William Afton, a person so horrible that he wasn't even worthy to be called a "person." He killed our mother, mistreated us, and ruined our lives."

"What?"

"Me, my older brother, Michael, and my younger sister, Elizabeth. He never did anything with love, that is clear. But there came a point where Michael, who was the most abused in the family, couldn't take it anymore, and decided to take out his frustration with me, which ended up causing the accident that ended up costing me my life: The bite of 83."

"I remember seeing it in a newspaper. Hey, why are you telling me all of this?"

"Because the partner that Harry was referring to in the tape was my father; He was always obsessed with obtaining immortality. And he succeeded; after indiscriminately killing dozens of children in Freddy's locals."

"Was he always behind everything?"

"If we talk about the disappearances until 1987, yes, together with Fazbear Entertainment. Actually calling him a partner would be incorrect, because he founded it with Henry Emily."

"Now that I remember, didn't his daughter die in one of the locals?"

"Yes. And she ended up possessing Puppet, an animatronic specialized in security that was designed by Henry to protect her. And ironically, he united the souls of the children with the animatronics, putting their bodies inside them, and protected them for revenge."

"How sad..."

"And so much. Returning to my father; His ambition and ego went so far that he ended up betraying the company itself, taking his own research. And as I said, he succeeded; one night he got into the '93 Freddy's to destroy the remaining animatronics and extract their remnant."

"It was with an axe, right?"

"Yes. Let's say that the night went horribly badly for him; Upon destroying them, their souls came out and tried to scare him. Or rather, we scared him, because he wanted to help them. I empathized with them, and in any case he never made my life easy. Anyway, he ended up in the back room and had no choice but to get inside Springbonnie's suit, which had a spring system to put him in animatronic mode or suit mode."

"That suit thing sounds dangerous..."

"It's because it was. Several accidents have already occurred, due to the sensitivity of the springs to humidity and sudden movements."

"Let's see if I find out, did your father die with his bones, muscles, and organs crushed?"

"Yes."

"I think it's worthy for a bunch of shit like him."

"And so much. But he did not die, but became another animatronic. Do you remember the Fazbear Frights?"

"Yes, that attraction that tried to poke fun at the company's dark history, right?"

"That's right. After thirty years trapped in the back room because of the suit's programming, he was taken to the attraction, where he tried to hunt down none other than my brother."

"And what did you do with him?"

"I tormented him with hallucinations and failures in the system of the premises, although it was not necessary much since my father provoked them with his mere presence. I was so blinded by anger, for what he did to me, that I decided to do it, instead of helping him. And it wasn't the first time I've done it, since he also worked as a night guard at three Freddy's locations, and I did the same thing at all of them."

"You did just what he did to you..."

"Yes, and I regret it. Fortunately, he did not die, but caused the fire of the premises. Ah, before I forget; The reason it's good to burn an animatronic is because high temperatures destroy the remnant."

"And the agony?"

"It 's unknown. Even so, the fire was not enough to finish off William, so shortly after what happened Henry put together a plan to finish him off, Charlie and the victims of Circus Baby's Pizza World."

"Circus Baby's?"

"It wasn't enough for my father to kill children at Freddy's, so he decided to create a pizzeria with animatronics made solely and exclusively to kidnap children. And even worse, one of the victims was Elizabeth, although it was by accident. In the end he and the rest of the victims became monsters as degenerate as William, especially my sister, who was obsessed with making him proud, killing. And Michael tried to rescue her, to no avail."

"What a damn..."

"Well, there you have the reason why another fire was started in another Freddy's location, with Michael and Henry inside."

"No way..."

"After that, I realized that my behavior during these forty years has been a serious mistake. I already realized that my brother deeply regretted my death, and that since then he tried to help the children, and as I said before also my sister, but in return it was used as a skinsuit by the animatronics of Circus Baby's. In the end he ended up as a living dead, even if it did not appear so at first glance because of the regeneration caused by the remnant."

"Oh my God..."

"And he still tried to help them. And I have been for decades anchored in the past, unable to forgive him. But I have forgiven him too late; after the last fire my father's soul went into his own personal hell, the children went to Paradise, and Henry and Michael were in Limbo, but the children told me that my brother never forgave himself for my death, so he went fully into hell.

And I can't forgive myself for it. I'm here to continue his legacy, to end Fazbear Entertainment once and for all and finally move on, and to help you, because I know you've been going through the same thing since the disappearance of your children and the death of your wife, I know because I can rummage through your memories. We're not that different."

Rick couldn't help but shed a few tears.

"Thank you, but tell me one thing, are they in Heaven?"

"No, something is holding them back. I don't know what it is, but it's definitely evil."

"Just how long have we been talking?"

"DAMN, maybe Weaver or that thing is listening to us, in some way, because it would be very worrying if she could get into your head. I know you're, but how do you find out that I've read several of your classified documents..."

"Yes, we have to leave as soon as possible"

To his surprise, the voice that had been haunting Rick since the incident sneaks into the conversation.

"Nice conversation..."

Both Rick and Evan didn't hesitate to panic.

"GOD DAMNIT."

To top it off, Evan confirms Rick's suspicions; That voice was not a product of his head, but something tangible, and evil.

"IT 'S HIM. IT'S ALWAYS APPEARED IN YOUR NIGHTMARES, RIGHT?"

"YES."

"RUN."

Before Rick could start running, the lights in the room he was in came on, revealing that it was a warehouse. And Weaver did not take long to make an appearance, over the loudspeaker, of course. You could perfectly notice the hatred that his voice gave off:

-I think it's time to PUT AN END TO YOUR PATHETIC ATTEMPTS TO ESCAPE.

After that declaration of intent, another metal door opens.

And Rick couldn't be less than ready for the thing that came out of it; It was an "animatronic" wolf with the particularity that the body inside it had grown disproportionately:

The suit parts were broken; excess of muscle, part of it stuck to the few suit parts that remained, which made it look worthy of a horror created by Lovecraft; excess bone, coming out like thorns; several rows of sharp, unnaturally arranged teeth; severely deformed limbs; tentacles (or guts, depending on how you look at it), and to top it all off crowned with a repulsive hump that kept inflating and deflating, and that inevitably reminded of pockets of pus.

Fortunately, he looked blind due to his sockets being completely covered in flesh. The sight was repulsive enough to make Rick vomit.

And so that he would get out, but carefully.

The warehouse was full of boxes whose contents were unknown; They had no labels, and not a single sticker that could give a clue.

Rick soon looked for a way out.

"There should be a way out. This is a warehouse after all."

And Evan found it.

"There is, do you see that huge iron gate?"

"Yes, but I think it needs to be activated by some button or something..."

"In Weaver's office."

"Well thought out, but we'll have to find it."

Not far from the gate, Evan and Rick saw a door, with a plaque that read as follows;

"Archives"

Rick smiled.

"I think we're going to have a two-for-one..."

"Needless to say, Rick."

The voice interrupted them again, making them afraid of what their message implied.

"YOUR FALSE HOPE WILL ONLY MAKE YOUR PAIN MORE EXQUISITE, SO KEEP IT UP."

This was more than enough for them to get down to work at once, approaching the archive room with the utmost patience so as not to alert the "wolf".

That thing kept hovering the aisles of the warehouse looking for prey.

Seeing that Rick was very nervous, Evan tried to reassure him;

"Okay, Rick. Stay calm, we will make it."

It was a miracle that they could find their way around, because the warehouse was so large that it looked like a maze of boxes and shelves.

Only the footsteps of the thing could be heard, so everything seemed to be going as Rick and Evan expected.

Until, in the shadows, Rick's nightmare monster made an appearance.

And Rick saw it.

Paralyzed by fear, he tried not to scream, but to no avail; the monster raised its right arm slowly until it pointed at Rick.

And he gave the alert, in a deep, grave, and vaguely human voice;

-RIIIIIIICK!

The thing seemed to obey his order perfectly, since it did not address the spokesman, but Rick.

"I see that silence is not an option anymore..."

Without hesitation, Rick starts running, trying to reach the archives room.

After hours without rest, Rick was on his last stand; He would not last much longer, which was against him, because the thing surpassed him in speed, although not by much.

To top it off, the hallway Rick was in was blocked by a bunch of boxes. The only option he had was to get into a gap to his left that he soon spotted, but he feared that the thing would still catch up with him.

Because it destroyed everything in its path.

But Evan was quick to offer his help, once again.

"Rick, get into the gap as fast as you can. I'm going to try to push one of the shelf."

Seeing that the thing was not far from reaching him, Rick doubted his proposal.

"Are you sure?"

"It's going to be difficult for me to do it, so I have no choice but to manifest. Trust me."

As promised, Evan manifested himself to Rick, leaving the latter wide-eyed.

He was like an eyeless Freddy Fazbear, yellow, with noticeable dirt stains.

But in particular there were two details that left him confused, and terrified; He didn't seem to have an endoskeleton, and he was constantly levitating.

Then he remembered certain newspaper articles and testimonies; sightings of a yellowish animatronic that shouldn't be on Freddy's.

All the testimonies mentioned him as an "apparition", a specter.

Fortunately, He was on his side.

And that gave him enough calm to crawl quickly through the gap, watching Evan stand at a lofty height to push the shelf.

When he came out of the other side of the hole, he saw that luckily for him the archive room was just in front of him.

But the same could not be said about a certain detail, which was to be expected in a hidden complex in the public eye. There was a security camera pointed towards the room.

And Rick was not concerned about the fact that he was being watched, but about the possibility that when Weaver sees that her amorphous slave had not killed him, she would send more.

Something that was confirmed shortly after hearing the unmistakable sound of something collapsing, and the growls of the thing.

-Rick, get in quickly. The shelf won't stop it for long.

Surprisingly, for a room with classified documents, the door was not locked.

Probably because the only person working there was Weaver...

… or because it was a trap.

Both possibilities went through Rick's head. But that worry wasn't enough to keep him away; I wanted to fully expose the company.

For himself, his family, and all the victims who have suffered from the machinations of the company for decades.
