Hello YGO fans, how are those dealing with those fires? Hope you guys are alright.

Anyhow, I enjoy seeing that you guys like this fanfic. I do have season 2 close to finishing as on the 23rd, I'll be getting hip replacement surgery (I'm young yet no doctor could find why I got this problem).

Thanks for your answer to my question, KronostheDragonGod90. Mm, never thought of it that way but it does make sense.

Anyhow, how's part two! Enjoy!

Yami: 4000 vs Hunter: 1500

'Yami… you're incredible. He figured out the Rare Hunter's strategy in only a few turns. Yami, you've taught me again about a duelist's confidence and pride,' thought Joey.

Hunter laughed, "Kid, congrats on figuring out my strategy…"

'But the next card I'll draw is the fifth card I need. Exodia will be completed on my next turn! What can you possibly do in one turn?'

Back at KaibaCorp…

Mokuba frowned, "Are you positive that Yami is going to win? Even against Exodia, brother?"

"No weak Rare Hunters has no match against him," Kaiba smirked, 'Show him why you are the true king of games.'

Back at the square…

"My turn, draw," said Yami. "I set two cards. I end my turn."

The hunter laughed, "You ended your turn! What's wrong? Is that all you can do?"

Yami just glared at him.

'I see my victory. When I draw this card, you're finished,' thought the hunter.

'Damn! Even though Yami figured out his strategy, he's still in trouble!' Joey gritted his teeth, 'Do something, Yami!'

"My turn. I draw…" the hunter was about to draw, but Yami stopped him.

"I activate my trap card! Lightforce Sword!"

The hunter gritted his teeth, "Not that card!"

"Yes, this card banishes a card from your hand for three turns," said Yami as a sword appeared on top of him. He narrowed his eyes, 'If I don't strike an Exodia card, I'll lose…'

"Go, Lightforce Sword!"

The sword went straight to the hunter's hand, striking one of the cards and it was…

The hunter gritted his teeth, "Exodia's right arm!"

Yami smirked.

At KaibaCorp building…

"Oh, wow. Yami sealed away one of the parts!" Mokuba said.

Kaiba just smirked as he continued watching the screen.

Back at the square…

Joey sighed in relief, "He managed to survive… for now."

Yugi nodded, "Yeah, but I know he can turn the tables."

Joey looked at his small friend with a confused look on his face.

"Next, I reveal my second set card! The trap card, Dust Tornado! Say goodbye to your Swords of Revealing Light!" Yami continued.

The light swords disappeared from Yami's field.

"No!" the hunter said, backing away a bit.

"I set a card. And next, I summon Alpha The Magnet Warrior (1400/1700) in attack mode," said Yami. "Go, Dark Magician! Destroy his Gear Golem! Black Magic!"

The magician attacked and destroyed the hunter's defensive monster.

"I'm not done yet, Rare Hunter! Go Alpha, attack him directly!" Yami said.

The magnet warrior dashed forward to the Rare Hunter and slashed him, making him lose 1400 life points.

Hunter: 1500 to 100

"Alright! Take him down, Yami!" Joey cheered.

"You're going to pay for that, brat," said the hunter. "My turn, I draw."

"What's wrong?" Yami smirked. "Didn't you draw the card you wanted?"

"You're just delaying your defeat," the hunter laughed, "My deck has three copies of each Exodia part. So, if I draw the second Right Arm in my deck, I'll win without having to wait for Lightforce Sword's effect to end."

Yami just narrowed his eyes.

"Damn! I hate to admit it, but that jerk is right," Joey said.

"Don't lose hope, Joey," assured Yugi.

"What? Cat caught your tongue?" the hunter chuckled, "You must do something before Lightforce Sword's effect ends, but will you think of a plan in time?"

Yami slowly smirked with a chuckle.

The hunter frowned, "What's so funny?"

"You're all talk, but what are the chances that you'll get another Right Arm of Exodia," said Yami. "Those two cards could be in the bottom of your deck."

The hunter gritted his teeth before looking at his hand.

'I already have this Exodia card. Either I draw the last part or draw another Swords of Revealing Light.'

'Don't worry, Joey. I promise to get your Red Eyes back,' Yami thought. 'Joey, just watch. Whoever trusts their own deck will win this duel.'

The hunter looked at the card again, 'It's true that I don't have any monsters on my field. But….'

"What's wrong?" Yami asked.

'If I summon my extra copy of Exodia in defense mode, I can block off his attacks,' the hunter gritted his teeth, 'There's no drawback to this plan.'

The hunter picked a card while Yami narrowed his eyes.

"Exodia the Forbidden One (1000/1000) in defense mode," said the hunter.

Yami smirked, "I was waiting for this moment. I activate my trap card – Chain Destruction!"

A chain came out of the trap card and went straight through the Exodia head then went to the hunter's deck.

"What is this?" the hunter asked.

"When you summon a monster, this card destroys its copies in your hand and deck!" Yami explained.

"What?!" said the hunter.

Yami crossed his arms, "Exodia comes to life when you gather all the cards in your hand. Since one part is gone from your hand and deck, you can never complete Exodia!"

The hunter stood in shock, 'No way… my Exodia…'

"Since you're using counterfeit cards, you can never control Exodia!" Yami said. "My turn! Go, Alpha The Magnet Warrior! Destroy the last Exodia head!"

His magnet warrior dashed and destroyed the Exodia head.

"I'm not done! Go, Dark Magician! End this! Black Magic!" Yami said.

The magician sends his attack to the Rare Hunter, wiping out the rest of his life points.

"Alright!" Joey and Yugi cheered.

Back at KaibaCorp…

"He did it! Yami won!" Mokuba cheered.

"As I expected," Kaiba smirked, "Well, I can't sit back and relax. Let's go."

"Right – Oh! If you find the God cards, tell us immediately!" Mokuba ordered before running after his brother.

Back at the square…

Yami walked over to the fallen Rare Hunter and pulled out his deck.

"You did it, man," said Joey.

"Nice one," Yugi said.

Yami nodded then looked for Joey's card, "Under the rules, I'm taking back Joey's Red Eyes and your locator card."

The hunter remained on the ground.

That's when Yami looked at the other cards in the hunter's deck and glared at them.

"These counterfeit cards," he said before ripping the cards, tossing the pieces into the air.

"I lost… my strongest deck lost…"

Joey stepped in front of the brothers as they widened their eyes upon what they were seeing.

"Help me. He's coming," begged the hunter. He clutched his head, screaming and the millennium symbol appeared on his forehead.

Yami widened his eyes upon seeing the symbol.

"Please help me… he's coming," said the Rare Hunter before losing control of his own mind. "…it's been a while, boy or should I call you Pharaoh."

'Wait! Is this the same guy who controlled Keith?' Yugi thought.

"You took out the weakest of my Rare Hunters."

Joey looked over at Yami, "Hey, what's he talking about?"

"Ah, yes. Sorry to confuse you. You're not currently talking to this man."

While Joey and Yugi were shocked, Yami narrowed his eyes.

"I'm in a different location from where you are. I implanted my memories inside him, so I can control him whenever I want. Just like this."

Marik made the hunter move his body against his will, creeping out Joey and Yugi.

"He's spooky!" Joey said.

"Or insane," murmured Yugi.

"Who are you?" Yami demanded.

"I've been chosen by a Millennium item… just like you. All this power comes from my Millennium Rod."

'Millennium Rod?' Yugi thought.

"This show was how I say hello. My name is… Marik."

"Marik, what are you and your Rare Hunters after?" Yami asked.

"To collect the God cards. The three rare cards that have revived in modern times."

"God cards?" Yami asked, pretending not to know about them.

"In Ancient Egypt, there were three stone tablets that contained dark powers. Obelisk the Tormentor, Slifer the Sky Dragon and the Winged Dragon of Ra. The one who collects all God cards will gain the title of the Pharaoh and the power to conquer the world!"

"Power to conquer the world?" Yugi said.

"We already have two God cards. And someone in this city has the remaining card."

'Kaiba,' thought the brothers.

"Pharaoh, the game has only begun. There's a Rare Hunter with a God card somewhere in the city. If you meet him, even with your skills, you'll be defeated instantly."

"That won't happen," said Yami. "Even if a Rare Hunter with a God card appears before me, I won't lose!"

Marik laughed, "How promising."

'If I want to learn more about myself, I must win this tournament… Marik, I promise to defeat you,' thought Yami.

"Fine, let's start the millennium battle! I'm looking forward to it."

He then relinquished the hunter's mind, and he collapsed in a heap.

Joey clenched his hands in a fist, "So, he's the creep that controlled Keith and hurt you…"

"Here," Yami offered his friend's card back, "This is your card."

"…I can't take Red Eyes right now, Yami," said Joey.

"Joey?" Yugi said, softly.

"If I accept that card right now, I feel like I'll be further away from becoming a true duelist," explained Joey.

"Joey," said Yami, softly.

"Yami, you and Yugi are the closest to what I believe is a true duelist," said Joey. "I felt that I was approaching your level when I dueled you in Duelist Kingdom… but I was being arrogant."

The Muto brothers remain silent.

"You won fair and square against a cheater without compromising your principles. I learned a lot from you again. You have a duelist's pride that I don't have," said Joey. "For me, Red Eyes is an irreplaceable card. My partner and I have fought together until now. That's why I can't take it. Red Eyes won't approve of how I am."

The older Muto slowly formed a small smile.

"So Yami, take care of that card for now," Joey took out his deck, "I've prepared a 40-card deck for today's tournament. I have a locator card and the right to participate in the tournament."

He took out a card from his deck, "You gave me this, Time Wizard. This is my final rare card."

Joey then put it back into his deck, "I want to become a true duelist. No, not want, I will become a true duelist during Battle City… Yami, when I keep winning and become a true duelist, I want you to duel me again."

Yami smiled, "Alright. Let's duel when the time comes, Joey."

"Thanks," said Joey, offering his hand to him.

Yami shook his hand, "I'll be waiting, Joey. I'll hold on to your Red Eyes until then."

Joey grinned, "Don't worry, Yug. I want to duel you as well."

Yugi nodded, "I'm looking forward it."

Not too far from them, Tea was running before stopping on a walkway and finally spotting her friends at the square.

"There they are! I finally found them!" Tea said before running over to them.

Before leaving, Yami thought of something.

"You do know the new rules about summoning high level monsters, right?"

Joey dropped to the ground, "R-Rules?! There are new rules?!"

Yugi slapped his forehead while Yami shook his head.

The older Muto sighed, "Come on, let's head to the café and I can explain them to you. You don't want to embarrass yourself in front of a crowd."

Joey got up, rubbing the back of his head and followed the Muto brothers to the café. At that moment, Tea caught up with them and entered the café with them.

P.S – Remember I'm only typing the duels of Yami's, not Joey's… there will be times that I will follow in the anime with a few changes, or I will change the duel completely.

Though Yami's deck will change around season 4… maybe small changes in Battle City finals… not sure as I'm not the best of understanding how effect cards, trap cards and magic cards work… it can be rather confusing.

Well, talk to you all next time aka next week or so before my surgery. Cairo!
