——Where am I?

Lost and completely confused, this is the state in which he finds himself now.

Well, his pockets are also empty, and he has no money or food, just him and the piece of clothing on his back, which is nothing but black pants and a nightgown and orange flip-flops. Other than that, he has nothing.

And this his was not even enough to protect him from the heat of the day or the cold of the night. In short, he was not far from the treachery of circumstances, no matter what they were.

Subaru: [ I know what's going on here——.]

But despite the sudden state of homelessness and confusion in which he finds himself now, he does not lack imagination that enables him to guess what is happening. After all, he lives in a country whose income comes mostly from selling fantasy stories with events similar to what happened to him now.

Subaru: [ I can't believe it but apparently I've been transported to another world, ...this is crazy—.]

Usually in similar stories where a human boy finds himself in another world, the human boy must be happy or excited as he thinks about all the things he will have the opportunity to do in a new fantasy world and have fun, as well as the opportunity to become the hero of his story.

Subaru: [ This is madness, this is pure madness. I don't want to be here. I want to go back now!.]

But the opposite is true here. The thirteen-year-old boy does not show signs of happiness, but rather sadness, and even there are visible tears accumulating in his eyes that are about to be shed. The boy misses his home and also...

Subaru: [ My mom and dad will be so worried... Please whoever brought me here please take me back home to my parents, please!]

Thus, the thirteen-year-old minor boy responded to his sudden circumstances, crying and hoping to return home to his family, as he fell to the ground, hugging his knees, crying, and in the middle of the street, his crying was ignored by the passing public, as they looked at him with annoyance and aversion, of mixed races and shapes those people are.

Subaru: [ I am hungry...]

In the depths of the gloomiest and filthiest alleyways within the vast expanse of the Dragon Kingdom, the young boy named Natsuki Subaru that found himself in the clutches of misfortune. Without any prior consent, he was abruptly snatched away from his peaceful sleep in his home and thrust into an entirely different world. Left to his own devices, Subaru, a mere child, now sat huddled in a desolate corner of the alley, clutching onto himself for comfort. He knelt down, burying his dirt and tear-streaked face against his own trembling feet, seeking solace amidst the heaps of tattered and grime-covered garments that surrounded him.

Subaru: [ Mom, Dad, please... save me]

Two days had already passed since Subaru found himself in this fantasy world, and after only a few hours of wandering around in it, his cruelty became apparent to him, and also, why it was right for him, his overwhelming desire to return to his home and the arms and warmth of his parents.

——Why are those people so hard-hearted...why?. all I want is to return to my world...Is there anything wrong with that?.

In fact, there is nothing wrong with what the boy's desire, but the mistake lies in the way he began searching for his way back to his world.

In fact, two days ago, when Subaru finished his sobbing. inwardly, he decided to roam his new surroundings in search of answers, clues, and also...help from people. Perhaps someone with a good heart could help him, but alas, all the boy received in response to his questions. was...

???: [What's wrong with you, brat, another world, Japan? I don't know what you're talking about. Get out of my face, I have work to do!]

An answer he received from a worker at a fruit stall after Subaru begged him for any knowledge he had of his world or any way that would enable him to return. The stall owner, with a prickly nature, expelled the boy.

—But he didn't give up.

???: [What's wrong with you, boy? You don't even know what kingdom you are in. Do you live under a rock or something?. this is the dragon kingdom, Lugunica Now get out of my way. I'm in a hurry!.]

This time, Subaru asked a man passing by on the street, and despite his mockery of the obvious ignorance of the questioner, he at least deigned to answer.

Subaru at least knew where he was, but the most important thing he wanted to know was unanswered. Subaru wanted a way to return to his home, but everyone who asked did not know anything and just called him crazy, and yet he did not give up despite his awareness that no one knew. He tried and tried until the night curtain fell in the sky and the streets emptied, so the boy found himself alone wandering the street looking for shelter.

–To sleep and to eat to silence his hunger and frustration.

???: [Get out of here, you bastard!]

The response he received from a woman after he knocked on her door asking for shelter and food. The same response, and worse, Subaru receives every time he knocks on the doors of homes at the night.

It is as if schools in this world take the opposite teaching approach instead of teaching good manners. They teach the opposite, and it seems that all people, fathers and children, are mentally programmed to follow the same curriculum given to them. This is what Subaru thought. However, just as he was ignorant of many things about this world, it is natural that he will be ignorant.

—That this world has no school for the common people.

Subaru: [Screw it, who needs their help anyway!.]

The boy was tired of people's ruthless nonsense, so he had no choice, so instead of knocking on more doors, he made another choice.

Subaru: [Thank God it's all still here.]

During his useless wanderings during the day, Subaru happened to come across a pile of cotton and dirty shredded clothes, of course, thrown near a bridge passing over a stream. Of course, those pieces of dirty clothes would be wet as well.

Subaru: [This will do]

But due to his fatigue and hunger, and also most of all, Subaru was desperate, and all he wanted at that time was to sleep to forget his hunger and also the humiliation he was subjected to during the day from those pitiless people, so Subaru began collecting those dirty cloths until he felt that he had enough and took them—With him to search for a safe place to protect him from the cold of the night and the eyes of evil.

Subaru: [——Despite the smell...I think this place is good. Plus, I don't think anyone would try to mess with me here, which makes it even better. good find subaru!]

After a long and arduous search through the alleys on a fateful and cold night, Subaru finally found a suitable place, from his personal perspective at least.

The place was a narrow alley filled with dirt and dirty water in every corner. Subaru did not hesitate. After all, he had no other choice.

Subaru: [Yes, I don't think anyone will see me like that]

In order to avoid sleeping on the dirty ground, Subaru exerted his last bit of energy to clear away the garbage from the area he intended to use as his makeshift bed. However, he didn't stop there.

Determined to create some semblance of privacy and security, Subaru ingeniously constructed a small barrier by stacking the garbage on top of each other and firmly pressing them together. His intention was to obstruct the view from the exit, ensuring that no one with ill intentions could easily spot him. Once he completed this task, Subaru proceeded to arrange pieces of soiled clothing on the floor, fashioning them into a makeshift mattress.

Although the sleeping conditions were far from ideal, Subaru embraced the notion that when faced with necessity, one can endure deprivation.

Subaru: [good night, mom...dad]

With that said, he finally succumbed to exhaustion, closing his eyes and drifting into sleep despite the persistent growling of his empty stomach.

–Lost, hungry, tired, and homeless, but more than that, he misses his family. This is how Subaru's condition can be explained only after two days of being in this world.

Subaru: [——Mom dad, I am very...hungry.]

He remains in that condition, huddled up with his head tucked between his legs. Subaru is feeling both frustrated and ravenously hungry. His physical energy has completely drained away, leaving him unable to even maintain his balance after a slight stumble. The only possession he has is a clay bottle containing water that he managed to obtain from a nearby fountain.

However.

Out of nowhere, a tiny red light materialized above his head. It turned out to be a spirit, gracefully hovering above him. Subaru wouldn't have even noticed it if it weren't for the pitch-black surroundings, which were now bathed in the spirit's radiant glow.

Lifting his weary head from the comfort of his knees, he gazed at the cheerful red spirit floating before him. unaware of the spirit's cheerful mood of course, Subaru moistened his lips and spoke in a barely audible voice.

Subaru: [——W-What is it that you, uh, want?]

At this very moment, Subaru could have chosen to inquire about something entirely different, like the nature of the thing before him or their identity, or he could have questioned whether he was in a dream. However, his exhaustion had taken its toll, and Subaru didn't even consider his words before uttering them. He was too worn out to care; all he desired was to be left alone now, to find solace in darkness.

Luckily for Subaru, as if the spirit promptly caught wind of his thoughts swiftly soared off in the direction of the exit, leaving him alone.

Subaru: [——Weird I think I'm hallucinating now...whatever.]

As soon as the red spirit left Subaru went back to sleep again, but suddenly.

Subaru: [Outch!——the hell!]

A surge of pain coursed through Subaru's neck as he lifted his head, letting out a scream. When he saw that the spirit had returned, Subaru couldn't help but feel surprised.

——Wait a minute...the pain and also the presence of that bright thing in front of me, so I wasn't hallucinating or dreaming!?

Subaru started to feel more alert than drowsy. He squinted at the spirit.

Subaru: [——What you are and what you want?]

Right after posing his question, the spirit chose not to respond again and swiftly flew back towards the exit. Subaru quickly got up and tracked its movements with his eyes.

To his surprise, the spirit began spinning around itself at the end of the alley. Subaru could sense that there was a message the spirit was trying to convey through its actions.

Subaru: [Do you want me to follow you!?]

Subaru's voice echoed loudly through the empty space as he desperately called out to the distant spirit. To his surprise, the spirit abruptly halted its spinning motion and began to bob up and down, almost as if it was nodding in agreement. This confirmation was all that subaru needed, he don't have anything to lose anyway right?

Subaru: [OK, I'm coming—.]

Subaru did not waste any time before answering, summoning all his remaining effort. He began walking towards the exit, towards the spirit, hoping that maybe by taking this step, he would find a way out of this strange world, or even if he did not find a way out, perhaps he might find a place for himself.
