Plantation 13

(Philia speaking) "Last time, my friends, along with Samson, ended up in a world recovering after a monstrous attack against a group of species called klaxosaurs. We ended up meeting a group of teens who piloted mechs called FRANXX after they saved us from large Heartless."

"We agreed to help them and the people out at their home to get rid of the Heartless, along with a different group of species called Unversed. In exchange for our service, we would hopefully gain access to blueprints for a FRANXX, which is possibly the weapon that Gretinal wanted us to get. Joining forces with Hiro and Zero Two, we'll go to different parts of their base to get rid of the problem. Hopefully, nothing goes wrong, and Samson doesn't make anything worse for us."

Exiting outside once more, Philia, Flair and Samson followed Hiro and Zero Two as they were making their way to the first of the three points of where the Heartless and Unversed are primarily popping up, the Training Grounds of the broken Plantation 13.

"You know, it's very bold of you to request the schematics for the FRANXX." Zero Two told Philia, "But it is absolutely pointless in the end."

"Not exactly." Philia replied, "I mean, if we can take on the Heartless with mechs like those, in the same way you guys were able to, we could take on bigger threats that could come our way."

"That's not what she meant." Hiro stated, "While you have given us multiple reason to trust you wouldn't use them for nefarious purposes, there are still three other facts that need to be taken into account."

"Such as…?" Flair questioned.

"FRANXX are actually made from the carcasses of klaxosaur." Zero Two explained, "And I doubt you would find one of those lying around, or ones still alive after we destroyed the princess."

"klaxosaur carcasses?" Flair questioned, reminding herself that the only one they have ever seen was Zero Two.

"I'm guessing klaxosaur come in all shapes and sizes." Philia assumed, "But I'm sure that's something we can work around."

"Then what about the main power source?" Hiro asked, "Our FRANXX require magma energy in order to use them, especially when we need to attack monsters with our weapons."

"Makes sense." Philia understood, "Though we are familiar with other power sources apart from that. I'm sure we'll work something out with that, too."

"But…" Zero Two intervened, getting into the Keydagger wielder's face, "There is one more thing you need in order to truly fly…" She backed off and wrapped her arms around Hiro's arm, pulling herself close to him, "A pair of parasites like my darling and I."

"A pair of parasites?" Flair asked, blushing at how lovey-dovey they were.

"All FRANXX require a boy and girl to be paired together." Hiro stated, "They are all around the same age like us. Male parasites are known as a Stamen, while the female are known as Pistils."

"Right..." Philia understood, recalling how the two piloted Strelizia.

"You guys aren't parasites, so even if you had a FRANXX, you wouldn't be able to pilot it because you weren't born to work one." Hiro pointed out.

"So we wouldn't be able to use those things even if we made one?" Flair asked sadly, wondering what the point was for even getting the blueprints.

Philia paused, wondering what counterargument she should say about all these things that were required, without giving away too much about who they truly were. Finally, planning out her words, she begun to give her defense.

"Truth be told, we were sent on our travels around the world by someone, Mistress Gretinal. She actually gave us a vessel to traverse about the place, and it doesn't require magma energy, but a different power source. Don't ask us, since we have no clue about it."

"You have a mode of transportation?" Zero Two asked, "Curious that you didn't have it with you."

"It broke down." Philia lied, though in hindsight it was a half-lie, "But Mistress Gretinal was the one who created the vessel. She told us that during our travels, if we found a weapon that could help us fight the Heartless, that we should try and acquire it. If we gave the blueprints of the FRANXX to her, I'm sure she could find a way to work around the problems you pointed out."

Flair and Samson were impressed at Philia's ability to improvise and give a sound argument. And it didn't even give any hints that they were of a different world, either. However, the concerning part was whether they would be able to convince the pair, and by extension, the leaders of Plantation 13 of what she said.

"You know we have to report everything you said to the Defense Commander, correct?" Hiro told them, "You were holding back information from us."

"We were ordered to only give the bare minimum of information, unless you needed to know." Philia answered, "And now, you needed to know more."

'Isn't that kinda pushing it?' Flair wondered, fearing it wouldn't be a good enough excuse.

Contrary to her worries, Zero Two merely chuckled at this statement, causing the group to look to her, "Well, you people are becoming more and more interesting to me. Fine, we'll play along with what you have to say. Just as long as you help my darling and I get rid of the creatures."

"I did promise that." Philia answered, "So let's get a move on." With the conversation over, they took off to the training grounds, prepared to deal with the mission at hand.

Music intro

(In the darkness, gold coins started to fall into a black darkness, with the words 'A story that takes place during Sword Art Kingdom II: Dimensional Bonds', followed by a blue Star Shard light that bounced about the falling screen, before hitting the center of the screen, and with a burst of light, the reveal the title.)

I sigh, saying that I'm fine with every breath of mine
This regret, it leaves another bitter taste, Yeah

(SAK: Heart's Origin Philia started off walking along a path of light in the darkness, the memories of her first adventure showing, her expression going from happy to painful, before stopping as she stops in front of the capsule of the sleeping Sora, before turning as tears fell from her, and she instantly donned the Organization's cloak.)

Why does the sun shine but only when I slip and make a new mistake?
'Cause I hate the feeling it's all a waste

(Philia is running along that path of light, as the many people of her past started to fade away, not remembering about her, with only Riku, Mickey, Naminé, DiZ, and Kairi the remaining people watching her run away. She suddenly found herself on the dirt path of the open grasslands, reaching the crossroad.)

If I could cut away my fate with this blade
I would if that'd let me re-start
But something tells me if that happened
I might not see you there

(Philia turns to one path, where Riku and Mickey in black coats were walking away from, before looking the other way, seeing PHox standing there, before looking behind to see DiZ and Naminé behind her. She looked down to the ground, thinking what the best path is, before Tinker Bell appears, flying in her face, and waving her to the path straight ahead, where Gretinal, Flair, and Samson are standing. Philia smiles as she races towards them. Gretinal points to the path ahead as Philia takes off her Organization coat, unveiling her new attire, with her friends by her side.)

I'm only held by the limit inside my soul
The voice in my heart
I trust it will break the mold that it holds

(Flair summons out her hairpin rapier, stabbing and slashing the Cyber Heartless, before Samson thrust his tendrils at a group in front of them, turning them into dark vapors. Philia flies through the vapor, slashing with her Keydagger, going into her 'Soul Burst: Sora' form, Keyblade in one hand as she tosses up three Summon Charms, which shines to reveal Sly, Sinon, and Tinker Bell in front, her hands held up high)

It will never end;

(The darkened appearance of Maleficent, Pete, Heartless Oberon and Vanitas appear.)

May it never end

(Dr. Tenma and the hooded Tears stand together, with Cyber Heartless and hidden allies behind them appear.)

No matter what's in store

(PHox appears, with fifteen more shadows behind him, as he pulled out his butcher knife weapon, and spun around, swinging it with blood red energy that unveiled his maniacally-enjoying face.)

We must be faster 'cause right now there's no more time
I fear at this rate, the world will leave us behind - And so I

(Philia runs along a starlit path, with the images of Sora, Donald, Goofy, Riku, Mickey, Kirito, Asuna, Yui, Leafa, Recon, and Kairi passing by her, their smiling faces appearing as she passed them, followed by any characters she met since coming to the new dimension, with the rest in black outlines.)

Wonder how long I have left with you, in this life?
There's not a minute we should waste
Catch the moment

(In a dark, rocky environment, Philia and the hooded Tears fought one another in a powerful battle, with Tears striking her back with her greatsword, only for Philia to skid to a halt, before launching back and unleashing an Armor Pierce Dagger Skill that sent Tears flying away. However, she flipped in the air, and landed on a gigantic, shadowed monster, who roared down at Philia, causing her to brace herself.)

So will you seize today with me?
Because it's fleeting, like a dream
Catch the moment

(Philia tightened her grip on her Keydagger as she glared up at the monster, Flair and Samson joining her side, before leaping together at the monster, their bodies glowing a white hue, the Keydagger shining brightly, and she brought it down at the head of the monster. Upon the strike, the scene shifts to the black atmosphere with the falling gold coins, shifting from a top-down view to a face forward view of it falling into a treasure chest with a gold heart emblem on the front, before revealing Philia closing the lid of it, embracing it in her arms, holding it close to her heart, before the heart shine, blinding the scene.)

Racing through the ruins of the plantation, the heroines were noticing that there had been efforts to clearing up and even reconstruction of the buildings. There were vehicles, some looking pretty standard, while there were even mechs much smaller than the FRANXX, being used to carry heavy stuff or clearing debris. However, with the Heartless about, and the inclusion of the Unversed, they were left vacated for safety reasons.

"We're almost at the training grounds." Hiro told the group after they cleared a small group of Unversed in the way. They ran onward, and ended up reaching the said training grounds. It was on the outskirts of the plantation, with nothing but cables and spotlights that were framing the area. It was large enough for two of the FRANXX to battle in, which was probably the reason for its size.

As they walked in, they could see two figures on the sidelines, near one of the spotlight fixtures. Upon getting closer, they could see it was Zorome and Miku. By the looks of the group, they could see the two were in a heated argument.

"How many times do I have to tell you; we need to work together in order to fix up each of the lights!" Miku stated angrily, "I can't do all of them by myself!"

"Who died and made you boss?!" Zorome demanded, "I'm telling you that my way is better!"

"There you go, trying to act like an idiotic hero just because you want to!" Miku huffed, frustrated, "This is suppose to be a team effort, but you are doing your own thing!"

"Did we come in at a bad time?" Philia asked, watching the argument from a distance.

"Those two can't seem to get along, can they?" Samson questioned

"Kinda reminds me of the two of you." Flair compared. Philia and Samson's eyes looked to her, then to each other, before looking away, not wanting to admit this.

Just then, Zorome became aware of the audience watching them, shouting out, "Hey, Hiro!" Miku only just noticed them as her partner raced over to them, looking angry.

"What's going on, Zorome?" Hiro asked, "You were assigned to the training grounds?"

"Yeah. We were SUPPOSED to repair the grounds and get the lights fixed up again." the short boy explained, "But with those monsters about, there's no way we could both get them fixed up if they come and attack us. That's why I suggested to Miku that I should stand watch while she repairs them!"

"Only I wouldn't be able to fix them up by myself!" Miku argued, joining with them, "There will be some tasks to fix them that will require more than just me! I need someone to help me with that! I bet he's giving this excuse because he doesn't know how to fix them, either!"

"I didn't say that!" Zorome barked.

The two growled as sparks flew out of their eyes at each other, while Flair looked to Zero Two, who looked a bit bored. "You don't seem to be bothered to help sort things out." She noticed.

"I'm just use to their bickering." Zero Two answered nonchalantly, "Don't worry. My darling has got this."

"Look, we can sort this out." Hiro told them, "Since we're here, we can be on guard duty while you two fix the lights. Is that okay?"

Miku smirked as she answered, "That can work for me. That way, I can get this guy's help fixing things up."

Zorome sighed as he looked a bit frustrated, but answered, "Fine. I guess since you're here, I can pitch in with the lights."

"Good. I'll also help with them, too." Hiro told the other fighters of the group, "Since I can't fight, I'll go have a look at the cables between each set of lights."

"I'll be sure to protect you, darling." Zero Two responded, smiling sweetly at him.

Philia noticed this made Zorome upset, before he turned away to make his way to the first lights, with Miku right behind him. Why was he so upset about that? Was he jealous?

Hiro was making his way to the first set of cables when from behind the three girls, Heartless started to show up, composed of Shadows, Large Bodies, and Cannon Guns. "Looks like that guy had the right idea!" Samson argued, the first to notice as everyone spun around, readying their weapons.

"Protect them! And don't let them damage the lights, either!" Philia ordered, and they went to work.

Being on protection duty, the three four fighters went to work on dealing with the swarm of Heartless together. The Cannon Guns were clearly trying to aim for those on repair duty, which made Zero Two focus more on them than the other Heartless. This meant that Philia, Flair, and Samson focused on the other enemies, while assisting Zero Two if she needed it.

"Cables are all good here!" Hiro shouted, racing along to the next part, "Moving to the next set!"

"Just got done with the lights here!" Zorome shouted, as he and Miku ran to the next set of lights.

"And here comes the next wave of Heartless!" Flair called out, seeing another batch of Heartless appear to intervene.

"No change! Just take them out!" Philia called back, charging forward, unleashing a series of dagger slashes, before backflipping and unleashing a Thunder spell on an unsuspected Large Body.

Zero Two danced about a couple Shadows, peppering them with machine gun fire, before turning her attention to a Cannon Gun on the field, preparing to take aim at the ones on repair duty. "You won't lay a single attack on my darling!" She barked, making her horns glow, elongate and branch out as they stabbed the Heartless, knocking it away, stopping it from attacking.

"C'mon, kid! Let's take them out!" Samson barked, using tendrils to push Flair towards the Cannon Gun that Zero Two knocked out. Flair responded with a thrust of her hairpin rapier, destroying it.

"We got others making their way towards the others!" Flair called out, skidding to a halt on the ground, before pushing towards a Shadow and Large Body making their way to the Zorome and Miku. She swatted at both of them, before Samson grabbed the Shadow and slammed it into the Large Body, knocking it over as the Shadow was destroyed. The Large Body tried to get back up, only for a Fire spell from Philia to take it out.

"Keep it up!" Philia called out, before charging ahead.

"You don't need to tell us that!" Samson barked angrily, before Flair went to the next Heartless.

As Hiro, Zorome, and Miku continued going from cable and light to the next, while wave after wave of Heartless continued to appear. Philia ended up going into 'Soul Burst: Sora' in order to deal more damage to them as they got harder to deal with. She quickly became more damage dealing than the others in the battle.

"And they consider me the danger." Zero Two stated, seeing Philia unleash a Ripple Drive on an Air Soldier Heartless, knocking it out of the sky.

"Hmph! We can't let her outdo us, kid!" Samson told Flair, getting her attention to a Cannon Gun, and unleashing a hairball technique to destroy it.

A minute later, as the trio were done with the third to last lights and cables, they moved on as a group of Large Bodies, Cannon Guns, and an Invisible Heartless appeared. "That one is gonna be tough." Philia noticed, readying her Keyblade.

"Darling, I pray you aren't taking too much time watching me fight." Zero Two stated almost playfully.

"We're almost done!" Hiro answered.

"Get a move on, Zorome!" Miku stated as she held onto some wires.

"Don't go asking me for help, and then chewing me out!" The short boy answered angrily.

Flair dashed forward, veering around the Large Bodies, before targeting the Cannon Guns with a pair of thrusts. From behind, Samson twisted his tendrils around the Large Bodies' arms, before sending them spinning, causing them to get dizzy and collapse, belly up.

Philia and Zero Two jumped onto the two Large Bodies just as the Invisible made a move, firing down at Samson and Flair. They screamed in pain as they couldn't avoid taking the hit, and got sent flying.

"You damn demon!" Philia shouted, unleashing a Hurricane Blaster with a reverse somersault spin with her Keyblade, while Zero Two fired shots from her gun at the sword-wielding Heartless. The combined force knocked it away, but it looked far from over, readying to attack Philia with its sword. She came out of her attack, before giving a slash to counteract the attack. There was a momentary clash, before the Invisible sent her flying into Zero Two, before the two crashed into the two barely recovering Large Body Heartless, knocking them over once more.

Flair and Samson were recovering as they witnessed the counter blow. "Philia! Zero Two!" Flair shouted, worried for them.

Samson wasn't bothered, and growled up at the Invisible, before averting to the Cannon Guns, who were redirecting their aim towards Hiro and the others. "Kid, we gotta focus!" he barked to her, sending his tendrils into the ground, before causing them to drill up underneath the Heartless, knocking them away, stopping their attack once again.

The blow from the Invisible did damage the two girls, but as they got up, they noticed that the impact also took out the Large Bodies. Zero Two looked pissed off, while Philia massaged her head, grimacing, "That could've been worse…" She looked to the Invisible, before her eyes glowed, suddenly fading from reality.

Philia found herself on the Station of Awakening once more, with Sora facing her again. She was confused for a second, wondering how this came to be, but assumed that the defeat of the Large Bodies was probably the reason why she suddenly found herself here.

"So, why did I forget about you in the first place, Philia?" Sora asked curiously.

"That's…" Philia started, really hesitant on wanting to answer, before looking to one side, responding with, "I'm sorry. I don't feel ready to tell you that, yet."

Sora looked surprised, before seeing her expression, and understood. "Does it hurt that much?" He asked. Philia nodded in response. "I get it. I'm sorry." He apologized.

"I know you are curious, but I just don't feel ready to tell you, yet." Philia responded, trying to divert the conversation to be less tragic by asking, "What about you? What do you remember? Like, you remember defeating the Heartless man named Ansem?"

"Yeah. I do remember that." Sora answered, "I was trying to find the king and Riku after Kairi was sent back home again. After that…I woke up in some sort of machine with Donald and Goofy. We even met some new friends."

"New friends?" Philia asked.

"Yeah. Kirito, Asuna, and a pixie named Yui." Sora explained, "They apparently were sent by a guy named DiZ to aid us in stopping Organization XIII, this group of bad guys that-."

"Oh, I know the Organization." Philia responded, frowning at the memory of those villains. After all, it was because of them that led to Sora and the others needing to forget about her.

"Oh…" Sora noticed Philia's darkened expression, and wanted to assure her by saying, "Well, long story short, we did end up defeating them, including the leader, Xemnas. I even reunited with Riku and Kairi, along with the King. And I even learned I had a Nobody who was originally part of the Organization named Roxas."

"You… you had a Nobody?!" Philia asked, surprised, "When did that happen?!"

"When I saved Kairi in my first adventure, I had to set free her heart from mine." Sora explained, and Philia recalled that fateful day back in Hollow Bastion, "I ended up turning into a Heartless for a while, until Kairi brought me back…" He paused as he felt something was off, muttering, "Wait…was it just Kairi that helped me then?"

Philia was surprised Sora somehow could feel that the story was somewhat off, realizing that while the memories of her remained asleep in his heart, he could still tell they were different.

"Well, that moment caused my Nobody to manifest somewhere else, taking on the name, Roxas." Sora continued, "But, I eventually met him again, and he ended up returning to my heart."

"I see." Philia understood, "That makes sense. It's a good thing Roxas was able to come back to you again."

"I know." Sora answered, "Though… I kinda wished he could live his own life again. I know there were others that were connected to him. Him and Naminé."

"Right. Naminé was a Nobody, too, wasn't she?" Philia asked. Thinking back on it, she had a feeling she knew whose Nobody she belonged to.

"Here." Sora spoke up, and Philia saw Sora place his hand on his chest, before producing a ball of light. "This is a power that Roxas gave to me, which I hope will help you in your adventure, too." He tossed it to Philia, who caught it and placed it in her heart.

"Thanks, Sora." Philia answered with a smile, "I'll be sure to use it well. And…maybe the next time we meet, I'll be able to tell you what happened." Sora nodded in response, smiling at her, before everything went white again.

Back in reality, Philia's body glowed as she felt the new power, and shouted, "Advance Burst: Synch Blade!" Her body bursted with energy as she dismissed the Kingdom Key. With one hand, she pulled from behind the Oblivion Keyblade, before pulling from behind with her other hand the Oathkeeper Keyblade. She twirled them as they clanged together, before readying herself to go dual-wielding on her opponent.

"Philia!" Flair saw her, amazed at the upgrade.

Philia pounced up at the Invisible, who fired dark orbs at her. However, she sliced through every one of them, destroying them all, before unleashing a series of slashes with her dual Keyblades, taking out the strong Heartless.

"We're on the last ones!" Zorome shouted as they reached the final lights and cables. At the same time, the last wave of Heartless, featuring a single Large Body, two Invisibles, and four Cannon Guns appeared.

"Cover them!" Philia shouted as the girls charged together, Zero Two taking on the Large Body with grace and power, while Flair and Samson initially went to the Cannon Guns, rolling into them with a hairball technique.

Philia slash at the two Invisibles, taking them on by herself initially, and getting their attention. They both swung at her, but she spun her Keyblades to block both swords, parrying them away from her.

She then saw Flair and Samson weren't able to get all of the Cannon Guns attention, and a couple was almost ready to fire at the defenseless repairers. She focused and dashed to them with high speed, bouncing off, before doing a forward spin that went into a shockwave that knocked them on their sides.

Flair took out one of the Cannon Guns as she saw what Philia did, calling out, "Thanks!"

"Don't thank her!" Samson barked, angrily grabbing a Cannon Gun by the barrel head, and slamming it numerous times until it disappeared.

Philia looked to the Invisibles, who sent dark orbs at her. She jumped up and slashed all of them, before unleashing a storming combo of slashes with her Keyblades, while Zero Two, done with the Large Body, charged at the last Cannon Gun, unleashing her growing horn attack to end it for good. With a final top-spinning slash with her Keyblades, Philia ended the two strong Heartless, ending the wave.

With the fighting done, Philia reverted back to normal as she and her fellow combatants went over to the others, with Hiro walking over to them, stating, "Everything is good to go. The cables are all repaired."

"Well done, my darling." Zero Two complimented him.

"And the lights?" Flair asked Miku and Zorome.

"All good to go." Miku answered.

"Thanks you. Both of you." Philia thanked the pair.

"Hehe! All in a day's work." Zorome answered confidently.

"Says the guy who didn't want to help me out in the first place." Miku scoffed. Zorome looked irritated at her accusation.

Philia looked between the two, trying to understand the situation, before coming to a conclusion. "Do you two not like one another?" She asked them.

The two looked surprised at her question, as did Hiro. They looked to each other, before Miku looked away with a huff as she answered, "Well, it's not that I hate him. But he does tend to look at me in a lecherous way."

"You said it was okay, once in a while!" Zorome defended.

"So you're saying you do like her?" Philia asked the short boy.

Zorome blushed at this, before puffing his cheeks, averting his gaze as he answered, "I mean, yeah… Besides, who else could handle her but me?"

"What's that suppose to mean?" Miku growled, causing him to tense up, regretting saying that out loud.

"Thought so." Philia understood, "That's why you wanted to guard her while she fixed up the lights initially, right? You wanted to protect her."

Zorome's expression looked like he got slammed in the face, realizing she just called him out for what he was trying to do without admitting it. Miku's expression softened as she was surprised, looking at him. He looked back at her a couple times, but still looked away, embarrassed.

"So that's the case…" Zero Two stated with a mischievous smirk.

"You were that concerned about me?" Miku asked him.

Zorome started to sweat, before he exploded with an outcry, startling everyone. "Darn it! You didn't have to call me out like that!" He shouted at Philia, before running off in a hurry, heading into the ruins of the Plantation.

"Heh. Looks like you messed up, Philia." Samson chuckled.

"How did I mess up?!" Philia demanded angrily, while Tinker Bell flew out of her pocket.

"If he likes her, then why be so embarrassed about wanting to protect her?!" Tink demanded.

"If you guys are too dumb to figure it out, then I ain't tellin'." Samson responded, getting a ferocious glare from the two girls.

"I don't get it, either." Flair muttered.

"I'll let you know later, kid." Samson assured her.

"We should probably move on." Hiro stepped into the situation cautiously, "Besides, we have two more areas to take care of."

Philia decided to ignore Samson, looking to Hiro and Zero Two instead as she answered, "Right. The Mistilteinn lakeshore and the parking dock, correct? Which one is closer?"

"The parking dock is where our FRANXX are at, so we should probably go there next." Hiro strategized.

"Then the parking dock it is." Philia responded, looking to Miku, "Will you be okay on your own?"

"Yeah. I'll go gather up Zorome and go to our home." She answered, looking to Hiro and Zero Two, "We'll see you guys there."

"Right." Hiro answered, and they parted ways, going to their separate directions, with the heroes going to their next destination.

It took over a half hour of racing through the ruins, but the heroes found themselves back where they started in the Plantation, where the FRANXX were docked at. Upon returning, group noticed a small group of people dressed in soldier-like attire, gathering among what appeared to be cargo vehicles designed for all-terrain, as they floated above the ground. Standing on the sidelines were the hefty boy, Futoshi, and the glasses-wearing girl, Ikuno.

The group approach the pair as Hiro asked, "Futoshi, Ikuno, what's going on?"

The pair noticed the group approaching them, and Futoshi greeted with a , "Hey, you guys. What brings you here?"

"Clearing out the monsters in the area." Zero Two answered, looking to the transports with narrow eyes, "Attempting to go out on a search mission again?"

"Indeed." Ikuno answered.

"A search mission?" Flair asked, curiously.

"Survivors, resources. Hopefully mining areas that still have magma energy for us to use." Ikuno explained.

"But what about the Heartless? And Unversed?" Philia asked.

"With how low our resources are getting after losing so much in the battle, human desperation is starting to kick in." Zero Two explained.

"I get it. We can't rely on other Plantations or Papa to support us." Hiro stated, "We have to rely on ourselves for all sorts of things."

"We are starting some things like farming." Futoshi noted, "But with those monsters about, it's still a bit of a struggle."

"Then we should do something about it." Philia decided, getting surprised expressions from Futoshi and Ikuno, "I bet we could act as bodyguards for the vehicles as they travel so they can gather resources and such."

"We were given authorization to join them in our FRANXX, as well." Ikuno told them.

"I guess this gives us an excuse to spread our wings, darling." Zero Two told Hiro.

"B-But we haven't gotten authorization to do that!" He argued as she grabbed his arm, carrying him to the elevators to get into their FRANXX.

"Oh, I'm sure they won't mind with the things as they are." Zero Two assured him, "Besides, they'll thank us if we do find something, so it's a win-win situation."

As one carried the other off, the others looked amused at the couple, before Futoshi turned to Ikuno, saying, "Let's get ourselves ready, too."

"Right." She replied nonchalantly, and the two walked after the first pair.

"They seem a lot calmer than Miku and Zorome." Flair noted.

"True." Philia agreed, "Unlike those two, or Zero Two and Hiro, it feels like they…don't have any feelings for one another." This kinda puzzled her.

"So, are you gonna make Filia run along the vehicles to protect them, or do you actually have a plan?" Samson asked Philia in a snarky manner, purposely using his hosts actual name.

Philia looked irritated at Samson, before answering, "I was figuring we would be on the roofs of the vehicle. They're large and flat enough for us to stand on and keep an eye out for Heartless and Unversed. Let's go tell those soldiers what were doing so we can prepare."

Philia, Flair, and Samson went over to the soldiers, explaining to them what they were gonna do. Given the situation, they decided to allow the support in defense, so once they boarded their transportations, Philia got onto one vehicle, while Flair and Samson went onto another. With Strelizia and Chlorophytum activated by their pilots, the caravan moved out, going out into the wastelands of the world, their guards at the ready.

They went throughout the wastelands, eventually reaching areas that had greenery growing among them. Upon closer inspection, Philia was able to see what looked like ruined buildings hidden among them. Not like the ones in the Plantation, but of a different style and era. In her heart, she felt it was more modern, though not sure why. However, she also smelled something in the air; saltwater. That must've meant there was a body of ocean water nearby.

Strelizia was soaring into the sky, Zero Two looking about the scene. She smiled as she stated, "As much as I was fine slaughtering the klaxosaurs, being able to soar like this with you, darling…"

"I know." Hiro agreed, smiling, "We're free to keep flying like this, and not worry about attacks."

Just then, in the cockpit, one of the hexagon screens revealed Futoshi's face as he asked, "Any signs of resources from up there?"

"Uh…oh, right." Hiro realized they were still on that mission, which led to the realization: If they didn't find any more resources, specifically mining facilities that still produced magma energy, then eventually, the FRANXX wouldn't be able to fly anymore.

"Don't worry, darling." Zero Two assured him, "I have been keeping out." She looked far off as she stated, "And I can see a mining facility not to far from the caravan."

Hiro immediately zoomed in on the direction where Zero Two was looking, noticing the large hole in the ground, along with machinery designed for mining. "We might've found something!" Hiro stated, "We'll come down to guide everyone there!"

"All thanks to Zero Two keeping an eye out." Ikuno answered through Chlorophytum.

"Seriously, Hiro. Save your couple stuff until after we are more back on our feet?" Futoshi asked.

Down below, Philia was looking up at where Strelizia was at. Suddenly, her instincts kicked in, and she turned and swung at a bird. However, upon closer inspection, she realized this was a monster with a familiar symbol. Even worse, there were a lot of them.

"Unversed!" Philia shouted out loud, getting the attention of Flair, Samson, and the FRANXX. She quickly pulled out her book, which quickly went to the section featuring the new group of Unversed called Archravens in the air.

She then noticed on the ground more Unversed were coming towards them. They were bulky, had no legs, but were floating, and were moving fast enough to keep up with the transports. They had wind-up key on their heads, claws that flipped around to be javelins, and they came in different colors of yellow, blue, and red. Philia also dug up what they were, discovering them as Glidewinders.

A blue Glidewinder came next to the transport Philia was riding on, and side-bashed it with enough force for it to swerve slightly. Philia held her footing on the roof, before glaring at the Archravens. "Great. Enemies in the air AND on the ground. And I'm kinda unable to deal with one of them!"

"We'll clean up the ones on the ground." Ikuno told them, raising her gun-arms.

Strelizia soared back down, slamming the ground right where the Glidewinders were at, creating a shockwave that knocked them upwards.

Philia saw them launched into the air, and her vision started to see something. Each of the Unversed started to glow as they were in range. She seemed to see a path forming between each one. She took this as a sign, and instantly went with it. Sparks came from the soles of her feet, formed by magic energy, and she launched herself at the Unversed in a burst of speed, jumping from Unversed to Unversed, spinning around each until she was right above them. Strelizia was amazed as Philia focused as she pulled back her Keydagger, and thrusted it at the ones she connected with, before sending it flying at them, striking them all down. It struck back onto the transport, and Philia flew right after it, returning back onto the roof with her weapon at hand.

"How did you do that?!" Flair shouted from the other transport.

Philia didn't answer, but was impressed at what she just did. Gripping the handle tightly, she turned to Strelizia, calling out, "I think I have a plan!"

"I can guess what you have in mind." Zero Two answered, smirking, "But first, deal with those birds!"

"Right!" Philia answered, prepared to fight on her end.

"Forget about her, Filia!" Samson told Flair, "Let's take out the monsters our way!"

"O-Okay!" She answered, ready to fight her own set.

The mission was simple; make sure the transports didn't get damaged too much by the Unversed, and take them all out. The Archravens were far more simple and easy to deal with than the girls initially thought. The only attack they did was simple dive attacks at Philia, which left them easy to target and attack back. The only troublesome part of it was when they took them down, dropping any munny or material, they would try to scoop it up before they could claim them, making them just more annoying thieves than an actual threat.

The Glidewinders, on the other hand, were a different story. For one, they were too far below for either girl to reach. They were also tough for Chlorophytum, who while she was able to shoot and destroy them, they were too fast to cleanly get them. Instead, it was up to Strelizia to create shockwaves with her spear, causing the Glidewinders to be tossed into the air, allowing Philia to unleash her reaction command to the flung up Glidewinders, dashing to each of them, before unleashing a Dagger Throw Dagger Skill to destroyed them all, before speeding back to the roof of the transport.

As for Flair and Samson, they had a different method of dealing with the Glidewinders. When they were knocked into the air, Samson roared as he shot his tendrils at teach of them, stabbing them multiple times until they were destroyed.

A few minutes after dealing with the pattern, they heard the driver in the transport call out, "We got incoming in front of us! From the mines!" Philia spun and saw what they were noticing. More Unversed were on their way. Their bodies were as big as Floods, but they had lanterns drooping from their antennae on their heads, pickaxes for arms, and had no legs, but instead what looked like a wheelbarrow that they used to drive along the ground towards them. Philia dug up her book, and saw they were Monotrucker Unversed.

"They're coming for us!" The driver of Flair's transport called out.

"They appear to be coming from the mine ahead." Zero Two noticed.

The Monotruckers were getting in close, their pickaxe hands raised. Philia got to the front of the transport, seeing them closing in, while Chlorophytum was firing at them. Some were hit, while others were too fast and too small to hit.

"We should slow down!" Philia's transport driver called out.

The treasure huntress formulated a plan, before calling out, "No, keep going! I have an idea!"

Relying on reaction skills like she did with the Glidewinders, Philia went into action. She jumped onto the hood of the transport, surprising the driver. Sparks came from her feet as she focused onto the Monotruckers, seeing a pathway like she did with the Glidewinders. She then magically shot towards them, dashing among the chosen Unversed, reaching the end of her path, then spinning around and sending her dagger through all of them with one throw, destroying them all before they collided with the transports. She touched the ground, spun to see the transport coming at her, and jumped up as high as she could, avoiding a head-on collision. She landed onto the roof of the transport once more, sighing in relief.

"That was really dangerous!" Hiro noted.

"But she got the job done." Zero Two noted, smirking, "I'm really liking her style."

Samson heard this, and looked irritated. As Flair took out a couple of Archravens, he noticed a few more Monotruckers racing towards them, and formulated a plan.

"Let's go, kid!" Samson told Flair, "We're not letting Philia show us up!"

Flair looked up at him, asking, "What are you-?" She then got her legged pulled by Samson, forcing her into a hairball technique. However, Samson made it so it charged up the spin, before taking off together at high speeds, shooting off the roof of the transport. They hit the ground, Flair crying out as Samson raced to each Unversed, rolling them over and knocking them out. Once he cleared them out, he and Flair came to a stop. The host panicked as she saw the transport coming, but Samson used his tendril to push themselves high into the air, before landing back onto where they were before, Flair rolling onto it, before managing to catch herself, standing back up again.

"That was way too dangerous, Samson!" Flair shouted.

"Sorry. But I knew what I was doing." He replied, stabbing some of the Archravens with his tendrils. Flair sighed in exhaustion, before she continued the fight.

With Archravens coming from above, Glidewinders coming from behind, and Monotruckers coming from up front, Philia, Flair, Samson, Strelizia, and Chlorophytum all did their part dealing with each enemy. Philia & Samson's reactions to those in front and behind ended up being on competitive levels, trying to one-up the other. While Chlorophytum was doing all it could to fire down onto the Unversed, Strelizia was the main attacker, sending shockwaves to knock up the Glidewinders, while doing a charging dash with her javelin in hand at the Monotruckers, sending them flying. All in all, despite all issues, they were able to clear the path, and make way for the transports to reach the mines. By the time they reached it, they cleared all enemies.

The transports came to a halt to the mine as Strelizia descended down into the mines using a large elevator, investigating its interior. Meanwhile, Chlorophytum was in rest mode, as Futoshi and Ikuno were out of the cockpit, with Philia, Flair and Samson by their side. The rest of the people in the transports were doing maintenance check on the mining equipment and other resources around the area.

"Seems like they found quite a good amount of stuff here." Flair noticed, "This should hold them off for a while.

"Hopefully, there is magma to excavate in order to continue powering our FRANXX and other machines back at the Plantation." Ikuno added, "Otherwise, this might not be as fruitful as we had hoped."

Philia looked to Futoshi, who was looking down into the mine, his mind thinking on some things. She decided to ask the question that was developing since the parking dock.

"Futoshi, right?" Philia reminded herself, getting his attention, "I had this feeling since I saw you and Ikuno together. Compared to others pairs I saw before, you two don't seem to have a strong connection to one another."

Futoshi was amazed Philia noticed that, asking, "How did you know?" Philia didn't answer that, but he felt the answer was unnecessary as he replied, "Yeah, you're right about that. Ikuno and I don't have any relationship like Hiro and Zero Two do, or one like Ichigo and Goro. Not even something like Zorome and Miku."

"So what's your reason for pairing up?" Philia asked, "From what I've seen, it seems to be a form of power to utilize a FRANXX."

Futoshi didn't answer immediately, but pondered on whether to answer or not. Finally, he replied, "Actually, I used to be partnered up with someone else. I was the Stamen for the Genista, and my partner was with Kokoro."

Philia recalled the long-haired girl, along with the black and green FRANXX she piloted. "That girl…" she muttered, before asking, "So what happened? Why did you change partners?"

Futoshi had a saddened expression as he replied, "At first, I thought we were a great duo. I vowed I would keep her happy, and protect her. However… over time, she started to look towards Mitsuru than me. That angered me that he was getting her attention more. However, Ikuno also noticed how they seem to be more compatible with one another than with either one of us."

"Did Ikuno have any feelings for Mitsuru?" Philia asked, looking to her as she was talking to Flair and Samson.

"No. As a matter of fact, they weren't exactly friendly with one another." He answered, "Her feelings were…swayed somewhere else. Let's just say she wasn't the biggest fan of the boy-girl partnerships we parasites had to have." It took a moment for Philia to realize what he meant, looking at Ikuno. It didn't bother the treasure huntress, and knew she that there must be girls like her with those kinds of feelings.

"But when Mitsuru was sick, it was Kokoro who was wanting to stay by his side, and not her." Futoshi continued, "So the two of us decided to put their happiness before our own, so we requested a Partner Swap, switching ourselves with them."

"I get it." Philia understood, "You had a mutual understanding, and decided to partner together for the sake of someone else. You believed you did the right thing?"

Futoshi smiled as he replied, "I think so. Those two work really well together. And Mitsuru keeps a smile on Kokoro's face. That's all I ask for."

Philia could see the expression Futoshi had. It was an expression that said while he wished he was in Mitsuru's place, the fact was he knew it was the right thing. She looked down, thinking of how she and Sora parted ways, as well.

"I can relate." Philia understood, getting his attention, "I gave up a relationship with someone dear to me so they could continue being happy again."

Futoshi saw her expression, and saw the same, pained smile that he was able to see in the mirror from time to time. "Philia…" he muttered.

Just then, the two heard the sound of the elevator being active, as well as everyone else. Within moments, Strelizia ascended to the surface once more to join them.

"Seems like there are a good amount of magma veins in this mine to excavate from." Hiro told the group.

"That's good." Ikuno answered, "We'll report to HQ about what we found." She turned to Futoshi, stating, "Let's get back."

"Okay!" He answered, waving back at her. He looked to Philia one more time, before racing back to the Chlorophytum to pilot it once more. Philia watched him leave, before looking at Flair and Samson. Flair smiled at her, but Samson didn't like this, and told Flair to get moving. She nervously complied, and went back to the transport. Philia looked down, frustrated by Samson's attitude, before going back to the transport. With everyone getting back on, loading all the resources they could, they turned around, and went back to the Plantation once more.

Compared to the trip to the mines, the trip back was far more quiet, with only a small group of Archravens getting in their way. Reaching the parking dock, Strelizia and Chlorophytum docked back into their stations, the pilots coming out.

"The adults are going to get started on transporting the magma energy back here." Futoshi told Hiro and Zero Two.

"Okay. We'll leave things to you guys here." Hiro replied, "We got one more place to go for us."

"The lake shore on Mistilteinn, correct?" Philia recalled, "Where is that, exactly?"

Zero Two took a few steps away, getting the otherworlder's attention as she dramatically pointed to the glass-domed building on top of the tilted stem. "Right up there!" She answered, "We should be able to get up there via the elevator at the base."

"It's barely intact after the final battle against the Klaxosaurs, which is why Mitsuru and Kokoro are up there, helping out with gathering supplies out of there, and bringing them down." Ikuno noted, "They're probably at the greenhouse up there."

"We'll go check on them before dealing with whatever is infesting up there." Philia told him, before she, Flair, Samson, Hiro, and Zero Two made their way to their destination.

About halfway there, dealing with a few small swarms of Heartless and Unversed, Hiro informed something to the otherworlders. "You know, it is strange. Mistilteinn was far more damaged than this after the Klaxosaur Princess destroyed most of Plantation 13."

"Really?" Flair asked, "Did you repair it that quickly?"

"No. In fact, for some reason, it started to straighten itself out over time." Hiro explained, looking at it, "It was definitely tilted and on the verge of collapsing. While we were in the midst of trying to find a way of moving out of it, we started to notice it was straightened back up."

"That seems like a lot of bull!" Samson stated, "Buildings don't just up and move themselves."

"When did you start to see the changes?" Philia asked.

"Around… some time before the Unversed started to appear." Zero Two answered, "That was when we started getting word of the two individuals that are being tracked down."

"Oh, yeah. You guys mentioned that before." Philia recalled, "Have any idea what they look like?"

"Well, one was big and fat." Zero Two started, "They also said it had a face almost cat-like. The other was dressed mostly in black, and even had a black-visor helmet on him."

"A fat, cat-like character and a masked person dressed in black…" Philia echoed, thinking about it, "The former I have no idea, but the latter… Could it be someone from…"

"Got any ideas, Philia?" Flair asked.

"Please, like she knows every person out there!" Samson huffed.

"Like you would know, either!" Philia retorted at the deprecating parasite, "But yeah. I don't know who it is based on those descriptions. But if they're part of the reason why Mistilteinn is still standing, then we might need to be cautious as we get there."

They continued on their path, reaching the stem of the building. They entered in, and took the elevator that led them to the top of the building.

When they exited the elevator, the team found themselves in a forest area. Despite the condition, it was still lush and full of life. Not only that, but they could see a three-story house along a path ahead of them, which looked pretty much European-like, something similar to a place in Traverse Town or Twilight Town.

"This was where you lived?" Flair asked as they walked towards it.

"Yes. It was our boarding house when we didn't have missions or training to do." Hiro answered, "Come on. Let's head to the greenhouse to check up on Kokoro and Mitsuru."

They reached the building and went around it to where the glass greenhouse was at. They wandered inside, where they saw the narrow-eyed boy and the long-haired girl, taking care of the plants, making sure they were ready for transport.

Kokoro was the first to notice, smiling as she greeted, "Hiro. Zero Two. You're here." Mitsuru, who heard them approach before her, only now looked up at Hiro.

"Hey, Kokoro." Hiro greeted her, before looking to the other, saying, "Hey, Mitsuru."

"Hey…" He greeted, a bit coldly. Philia and Flair wondered what was going on, before he massaged his eyelids with his fingers, before retorting, "No…sorry." He smiled as said, "Glad you're okay, Hiro."

"You don't have to push it." He replied.

While Zero Two looked shrewdly at him, Kokoro stepped in, saying, "Mitsuru, you really gotta adjust your personality towards him. Remember it wasn't his fault."

"I know…" he replied.

"Sorry. I seem to be missing something here." Philia spoke up, "Was bringing Hiro here a mistake?"

"No, it's not that." Kokoro assured her.

"It's okay, Kokoro." Mitsuru replied.

Flair and Philia looked to one another, before looking at Hiro and Zero Two, wondering if this was something they shouldn't know about. With no answers being given by the boys or the young lady, Zero Two spoke up.

"Oh, for crying out loud! With you two acting this way, it would make any human curious." She started, "So I'll just tell them."

"W-Wait! Zero Two!" Hiro stammered.

"Don't worry, darling." She assured him, the look in her eyes stated that what she was thinking was painful, "I've come to terms with what happened. You two should, too."

"Spit it out, already!" Samson barked, "No one is saying anything, and it's annoying!"

"Samson, shut up!" Philia snapped at him, "No one asked for your opinion!"

"Who says you'll stop me?!" He demanded angrily, causing the two to glare harshly at one another once again.

Flair sighed, looking to Zero Two to give an explanation to defuse the moment. She caught on, before looking to Hiro, saying, "I won't give you the full story, but long story short, when my darling was a child, he tried to save me from suffering when adults were experimenting on me. We tried to escape, they caught up to us, and caused the both of us to lose our memories of those events. However, I was able to somehow sustain parts of those events, my darling forgot, including some promise he made with Mitsuru, so that made him give a cold shoulder to him."

"Someone erased your memories?" Philia asked Hiro, feeling a twinge of pain from a familiar situation.

"Yeah…" he replied, looking to Mitsuru, "And Mitsuru and I promised we would take a ride in a FRANXX together when we were allowed to. But because of what happened…"

"I know it wasn't your fault." Mitsuru spoke up, "It's those crappy adults who erased your memories of that day. It's…just taking some time for me to get over the years of betrayal I felt."

Kokoro put a hand on his shoulder, before giving him an assuring smile. He smiled back at her, before she started, "He was actually planning to help make up for it with making you his 'best man'."

"Best man?" Hiro asked, confused.

"For our wedding." She explained, "I mean, that was one of the things required in one, according to the book."

The topic surprised both Philia and Flair, the latter asking, "You two are getting married?!"

"Well, we want to be a couple." Kokoro answered, "We're…not entirely sure about how it all works. We're just learning about it through books we discovered."

Mitsuru looked to Hiro, stating, "From what we gathered, a 'best man' is supposed to be like a best friend or something to the guy getting married. So… I chose you, Hiro. You and I were… no, we ARE best friends."

Hiro was amazed, before looking like he could tear up at any moment. He smiled as he wiped away his tears, answering, "Thanks, Mitsuru. I'll do my best when that time comes."

Zero Two cleared her throat, before stating, "Now that we are done here, we should head over to the lake, where those Heartless and Unversed are at."

"Zero Two's right." Philia reminded herself, "Let's get moving."

"O-Okay." Hiro answered. He and Mitsuru gave one last look at each other, before they parted ways, the team leaving the engaged duo alone in the greenhouse once more.

"Wow…a wedding, huh?" Flair muttered, "I honestly never considered marriage."

"I've heard about it, myself." Zero Two stated, looking to Hiro, before linking her arm with his, "I think of my darling and I already as a married couple, as well." He blushed in response to this.

"That's not how it works…" Flair muttered.

"I guess this is what Gretinal meant before." Philia understood, quiet enough for the two not to hear, but for Flair and Samson did, "She said the people in this world didn't understand normal human lives like we do. They don't really understand what it means to be a married couple, or weddings, or other complex emotions."

"Yeah… I am kinda starting to see that." Flair admitted, watching the two ahead of them, and thinking on everything they learned about the others.

"Yet, they still have enough to understand the importance of being together. Each of the pairs we met so far had different sorts of bonds with one another, from deep love, to the unrequited kind, to mutual tolerance, to friendship, and other such things. Every pair is unique."

"So what about ours?" The schoolgirl asked, looking to Philia, "What's our bond like?"

"Why should it matter?" Samson asked, "After all, OUR bond is solid. Who cares about her? We're just on this journey because we got roped in by her!"

"Reminder that you were the one who wouldn't let go when I ended up getting carried away!" Philia retorted to Samson, "If it weren't for you, the two of you wouldn't be joining with me on this!"

"Every time, you just have to blame me, don't you?!" The parasite demanded, poking a tendril at Philia.

"Because it's the truth!" Philia barked, grabbing the tendril and squeezing hard on it, "I've been trying to help you out, but you're too much of a monster to tolerate with!"

"Stop, stop!" Flair shouted at the two, placing her hands on her head, dealing with the headache of their constant banter. This argument also drawn the attention of Hiro and Zero Two.

The two stopped their argument, before Samson growled, "This is ridiculous! I'm only on this because Filia is trying to find her friend. Why are we even dealing with trying to help all these people out on our way? I'd say ditch them and let them deal with the Heartless and Unversed instead of getting involved!"

"The Heartless and the Unversed ARE our business! Or did you forget that?!" Philia harshly responded, "Jeez, this is why I can't tolerate you! You keep claiming you are doing this for Flair's sake, but this is all about you! Flair wants to find her friend, and I get that, but you only believe that's the only thing that matters to her and nothing else! You're attached to her, but you don't know everything she wants! You're such a… such a…!"

"I KNOW! I'M A MONSTER!" Samson roared back at her, having enough of this. His words echoed throughout the area, which was followed by the tense silence. Mitsuru and Kokoro even stepped out of the greenhouse, hearing the outcry.

There was a momentary silence between everyone, before Philia turned and went into the forest, stating, "Fine. I'll make my way to the lake alone. You go your own way!" She went into a sprint, leaving the others behind.

"Philia, wait!" Flair shouted after her.

"Forget it, kid!" Samson snapped at her, "Who needs her?!"

"But…!" She wanted to say more, especially the fact that without the Star Shard Philia had, if she left, they would be trapped in this world. However, they couldn't say anything in front of the others because of world order.

Zero Two looked to Hiro, seeing the look he had at their situation. He saw the trouble their team was in, and knew he had to do something. In the past, she wasn't one to stick her nose into stuff like this, and just let it pass. However, she wanted to more for other's sake nowadays, and knew that she had to expand it even more to even strangers like them.

"Darling, I know that look on your face." she told him, "You want to help them get together, don't you?"

Hiro looked down, thinking. After all of the ordeals they had, and all the struggles their team overcame, he couldn't bare to see other groups like them tear apart. "If…if I could, I would." He answered.

"Then let's help them out, like we helped each other out." Zero Two told him, "I can stay here. You go after Philia, okay?"

Hiro looked to her, seeing the reassuring expression on her face, before smiling and nodding in agreement. "Okay." He replied, before turning and chasing after Philia into the forest.

"Where is he going?" Flair asked.

"My darling is a busybody." She answered, "And it's rubbed off on me, as well." She walked around Flair, before getting face to face with Samson. "Now, let's talk, one monster to another, okay?" Flair's eyes looked behind her, while Samson narrowed his eyes at the pink-haired girl.

On the rooftop of the boarding house, two figures were standing there, looking down at the scene.

One was a big, bulky guy who was an anthropomorphic cat. He had black fur and a beige face, curved ears, and a big chin. He had on a red shirt with a white rectangular shape from his neck, blue cross-strap suspenders, black cauldron-shaped pants with enormous purple pouches on the front sides with four silver buttons holding them in place, gold buttons above them that connected to the suspenders, purple kneepads, and a large zipper horizontally going down all the way to the back. He had black and periwinkle sneakers with silver soles and purple laces, blue pauldrons on his shoulders with gold buttons attached to his suspenders, purple armored gloves with black fingers, white cuffs, and gold pieces on top.

The second had a humanoid figure, wearing a black and red organic-looking bodysuit. He had on a silver biker-like helmet, with a black visor that hid his face.

"Those two, or rather three characters. They're nothing like Asuna and the others." The masked man stated.

"Yeah. These chumps seem to be wet behind the ears." The fat cat chuckled, "Seems like they'd be easy pickings for us."

"If that's what you think, then you should have no problem dealing with those three over there." The masked boy told his acquaintance, "As for me, I'm gonna go see if that boy holds one of the keys we're searching for."

"Hold on! Why you actin' like you're in charge around here?" The fat cat demanded, "Last I checked, your boss is on equal footin' with Maleficent. The two of us shouldn't be any different!"

His accusation was abruptly stopped by the teeth of a weapon the boy wield; a Keyblade. It had black and red-trimmed, cog-like designs on the back end of the guard and on the teeth, a black front guard with a blue reptilian eye, a gray shaft with a bronze cog on it and black chains wrapped all the way down it, another blue eye on the end of the shaft, and a bronze, cog-like chain.

Pete had his hands raised, realizing he could strike him without even a chance to retaliate. "Because between the two of us, it's clear who is the stronger one." The masked boy answered him, "And I can see who is the stronger of those two. That doesn't mean it should be hard to take her down. On the contrary, it should be easy, compared to the others."

He lowered his Keyblade, walking to the end of the roof calmly, before finishing, "You just try and stall. I'll check the boy, before I see if the girl has one if he doesn't." He stepped off the roof, and disappeared to the ground below.

When he was out of earshot, the fat cat huffed as he stated, "Stall them, he says. Like he doesn't think I can handle a couple of twerps like them? I'll show him what's what. No one messes with the mighty Pete, and certainly not those girls or that hair thing!" He turned to the back end of the house, and hopped down it. Out of view, he suddenly cried in a panic, before there was a sudden crash, having fallen down less than gracefully. He moaned in pain, before getting himself back up and making his move.
