"First mermaids and now we get to meet fairies? This is so cool. I wonder if they're really tiny like the stories say?" Videl thought aloud.

"We'll find out soon... but whatever size I can change to be their height." Oolong chuckled happily.

"Look there's a light up ahead." Gohan said as they continued. Soon the submersible burst out of some water into a lush landscape. The submarine transitioned into being more like a buss as it formed some wheels. "This place looks amazing... but I don't recognize any of these plants." Gohan said confused.

Oolong clicked the gps on his vehicle. "It's glitching some but it seems like we're just a ways outside of East City." He said.

"But these plants don't match any of the plants that are supposed to be in this area." Gohan said.

"Just how much studying do you do kid?" Oolong asked as he began driving forward. Their was a sudden crash and they were jostled around as the vehicle went airborne. It sounded like there was a fleet of helicopters above them. A giant appendage began trying to break through the windshield that reminded them of one of Wheelo's creations. "Abandon bus!" Oolong cried, opening a hatch on the bottom of the bus. Videl got on Nimbus with Icarus and followed Gohan out. Oolong changed into a rocket and followed them out. Once out of the bus, gusts of wind blasted them, forcing all of them to land. They all looked up to see what attacked them but only saw Oolong's submersible bus crash to the ground completely demolished.

"What in the world?" Videl asked softly.

"That thing was supposed to be strong enough to go deep into the ocean... to destroy it like that would take lots of power." Oolong said. Dende nodded in agreement. Gohan meanwhile was studying some tracks he found on the ground.

"I've never seen tracks like these before... but it looks like whatever made them walked on six legs." Gohan said just as they felt the ground tremble as something large approached. Gohan quickly got into a fighting stance when they saw an ant the size of an elephant charge out of the vegetation.

"I was promised fairies not giant ants!" Oolong whined.

Gohan dodged all of its legs to keep from being trampled as it went on its way.

"Guys, the ground is still trembling!" Videl warned. As if on cue a scorpion nearly the size of a house came into view and began attacking Gohan. It tried crushing him with it's pincers but Gohan narrowly avoided them and hit it with a energy blast. The Scorpion was pushed back some and had a burn mark but was otherwise fine.

"This isn't looking good." Gohan said dodging more strikes. Dende used telekinesis to throw a boulder at the Scorpion to give Gohan a chance to escape. The hit actually knocked over the scorpion, seemingly causing a bigger hit than Gohan's attacks.

"Something strange is going on here." Dende said as the Scorpion got back up.

"Just keep throwing things at it." Videl said. Dende nodded and levitated another boulder. Before he could throw it though, a dozen giant ants swarmed the scorpion, attacking it. Dende lowered the boulder.

"I suggest we let them sort it out and make like a leaf and leave." Oolong said. The others nodded in agreement and began to follow. Dende's antenna moved slightly and he gasped. He moved in front of them and motioned for them to all stop. Ahead of them a boulder the size of a house crashed down, kicking up some dust. The boulder than began rolling towards them. Gohan used a Kamehameha to push it back. It began turning on its side and rolled towards them again. This time Dende held it in place with his mind as it turned a little more, revealing itself to actually be an acorn.

"Is everything here super sized here?" Oolong asked.

Gohan shook his head. "I think it's the other way around. Could you change into something really big and look around?" Gohan asked him. Oolong nodded and put some space between them. He changed into Wheelo's mech and looked around. He was just barely able to see above wild grass surrounding him. A large live oak tree stood a ways off, its limbs stretching above them. Oolong froze seein the grass parting in front of him. Then from the wild grass emerged a squirrel the same size as him. It sniffed him and then yelled in his face before turning and grabbing the fallen acorn, it's tail whipping Oolong backwards as it made off with the acorn. Oolong changed back to normal so he wouldn't crush his front and was caught by Dende.

"Yup we're definitely really tiny and squirrels are jerks." Oolong said getting to his feet. Suddenly the group was pelted with gusts of wind as if they were boarding a helicopter. A shadow overtook them and a massive foot landed in front of them.

"Sorry I'm late." A deep voice boomed. The foot began to shrink in size as they saw that it was connected to a fairy. She stopped shrinking once she was about four times their height. "I hope the locals didn't give you too much trouble." She smiled, her voice becoming higher as she got shorter.

"We're okay, thank you miss?" Gohan asked. The fairy giggled and flicked her hair.

"The name's Meadow of Shamrock lad." She said with an Irish accent coming out. "It's a tad bit dangerous out here when you're that small. Allow me to escort you to your next destination?" She asked.

"Yes please." Oolong said.

"Umm how?" Gohan asked.

"Easy." Meadow smiled and grew in size again. She lowered her hands down to the ground near them. "All aboard." She said. Oolong hopped into her hands immediately.

"Let's go." Gohan said as he and the others got on.

"I'm going to cup my hands over you all to protect you from the wind, here we go." Meadow said cupping her hands as she took off. A short while later the group felt themselves slow down. Meadow opened her hands so they could all see the village of fairies. It seemed their buildings grew naturally from the wood, moss and mushrooms on the tree. "We make our home on top this live oak that's surrounded by a grove of willows." She said softly as she came to a spot to drop them off. Once they were on the tree she shrunk down to just twice their height.

"This place is so pretty." Videl said softly. Gohan nodded in agreement.

"Ahh thanks." Meadow giggled happily.

"What is your natural height?" Dende asked out of curiosity.

"Our normal size is close to what you're at now. The more we deviate from that height the stronger we can become. If we get smaller it focuses our strength, while growing in size gives us more power." She explained as she began leading them through her village, them getting many friendly gestures from the fairies going about their business. They all wore clothes made of plants though without shoes.

"But I felt weaker being this small." Gohan said. Meadow nodded.

"A difference in method. The magic that made you this way decreased your power to match your size, though most humans would find themselves stronger than normal, but those that rely on Ki such as yourself would be made weaker than you normally are." She said.

"So making us smaller is like a security blanket?" Videl asked. Meadow nodded.

"We normally operate at ten times your current scale, which would make us about ten times stronger than what we normally are. However my kind prefer to be pacifists, but every once and a while we must defend ourselves." She said as they reached an ornate long house.

"Just how big can you get?" Oolong asked. Meadow turned and frowned.

"Are you calling me fat?" She growled. Oolong yelped panicking and shook his head quickly. Meadow then giggled happily leaving him confused.

"Got ya... but to answer your question. Most of us can at least reach the size of a house cat. Our warriors can get up to the size of a normal human. The very best of us can match the size of a large dinosaur..." She said trailing off a little.

"And you personally?" Oolong asked softly.

"Only a mammoth or down to the size of a flea." She said seemingly embarrassed.

"Wow that's really impressive." Oolong said.

She smiled from the compliment. "In truth I'm really amazed by your abilities. Despite your current size you were able to get as big as a squirrel." She said.

"Well I am quite impressive." Oolong chuckled.

"Don't forget humble." Videl teased. Meadow giggled softly as she led them into the long house. She flew to an elderly fairy sitting upon a rocking chair. His well kept beard stretched down to his knees. She hugged him and flew back to the others.

"Well done granddaughter. I am chieftain Magnolias newcomers. My granddaughter will help you get what you need for the bonding ritual." He said.

"Bonding ritual?" Gohan asked softly.

"An ancient tradition between riders and their dragons. It links their very souls. You share your strength. My eyes may be dim but I can sense the connection between you." Magnolias said.

"Is that why Icarus is ill?" Gohan asked.

"Partly... 'tis rare for such a young lad such as yourself and a dragon so young to bond... the two of you must have gone through a terrible gauntlet. No doubt such a test will leave its mark. This dragon has chosen to put his full faith into you child. I pray that you don't disappoint him." He said.

"Never!" Gohan said and patted Icarus on the head. Magnolias smiled.

"That's the spirit. You will need it for the test ahead. Meadow, take them to the labyrinth. Once they reach the center, prepare the tea of life for them." The chief said.

"A labyrinth?" Oolong asked. Meadow nodded.

"A great maze you and your friends will have to find your way through." She said and then whistled like a song bird. "Follow me." She smiled happily and led them up a set of stairs to a porch outside where a Bluejay landed and chirped. On its chest it had something similar to the basket of a hot air balloon for them to ride on.

"Oh he's so pretty." Videl said in awe, admiring the bright blue feathers of the bird. The bluejay puffed out his chest proudly.

"Oh dear, he already had a big enough ego." Meadow giggled and helped them board. She then flew off leading the way. Icarus followed behind them riding on Nimbus. She led them to a large stump hidden by the limbs of willows. The stump was about the size of a car. They landed and could see that a maze had been carved into the stump. Spider webs intersected above the maze forming a roof of sorts. Bolts of electricity sparked between the webs. "It's quite simple, you just need to find your way to the center. I'll meet you there to give you what you need." Meadow said.

Gohan looked at the entrance to the massive maze uncertain. "Are there any rules?" He asked. Meadow shook her head.

"The webbing will keep you from cheating. As for everything else the maze will handle it." She said.

"The maze will handle it?" Videl asked confused. Meadow giggled.

"No worries, I'm sure you'll all do well." She said and shaped some wood into a stool and then formed a banjo out of plants. "Have fun." She said and sat down before she began playing. Gohan led the others into the maze. Just as they entered two wooden doors closed behind them and locked.

"No worries friends, I've got this." Oolong said and turned into a large paint brush. "This way we can mark what paths we take." He said.

"Oh yeah, and we can put X's on paths that are dead ends." Videl said.

"Great ideas, when we come to splits we can split up and go a little ways to see if they are dead ends or not." Gohan said. The others nodded and began trying to find their way through the maze. Oolong made one line to show where they've been and put an X mark by any path that ended. They continued doing this for half an hour until one of the paths led back to Oolong's painted line. However at their feet was an X mark from the path they had just exited.

"Wait that's not right?" Dende said confused.

"Yeah something fishy is going on." Videl said.

"Let's follow the line back a little bit." Gohan said and led them back towards the entrance. He stopped noticing an X but with no path near it. He came closer to investigate and noticed it was smeared a little.

"How odd." Oolong said.

"Hey Dende, can you listen really hard to see if you hear something strange?" Gohan asked.

Dende nodded. "Silence please." He said and listened intently. "Huh yeah… a very slight scraping sound every now and then." He said. "How'd you know?" He asked.

"The smudge marks, I think the walls are moving." Gohan said.

"What kinda maze does that?" Videl pouted.

"We were warned that the fae were tricksters." Dende said.

"And that the maze would keep us from cheating. Sorry Oolong, I think it's best we do it the normal way." Gohan said. Oolong nodded, somewhat relieved from having to turn into a paint brush so often. A few more minutes of wandering around in the maze and they heard the cry of what sounded like a wounded animal. Gohan began heading towards the sound.

"Wait isn't that a bad idea? We shouldn't let ourselves get distracted." Oolong said.

"It's not like we're not already lost." Videl said.

"Nor is it a reason not to help." Gohan said. Oolong sighed and continued following them. Eventually they came across a very young field mouse. Its tail was stuck in some sap. The creature was still nearly the size of an elephant compared to them. It looked as though it had worn itself out trying to get free.

"Ahh the poor baby." Videl said softly. "How do we free it?" She asked.

"I'll try destroying the sap with some Ki blasts." Gohan said and flew behind the mouse. Little by little he was able to use Ki to free the mouse. Finally it was able to pull its tail free, nearly whipping all of them as it took off. "You're welcome!" Gohan chuckled. Oolong paled however seeing pieces of sticks, leaves and other plant material forming into a golem.

"Hit the gas!" He said and running away.

"Wait maybe it'll be helpful." Gohan said and then watched as it turned into a giant cylinder covered with thorns. It took up the width and height of the path in the maze. It began rolling towards them. "On second thought, Oolong is right." Gohan said and led the others in retreat. They saw an opening with two pillars in it.

"There!" Dende said and they raced for it going through. The pillars stopped the cylinder and a wall formed behind them.

"Too close." Oolong said as they continued and came to a room with a sliding panel puzzle on the floor. The room appeared to be a dead end.

"Oh fun." Gohan said and went about trying to slide the panels into place along with help from Dende & Videl. Once they completed it they could tell it was a picture of a live oak. Once completed a section of the wooden wall began to move revealing a new path. "Onward." Gohan declared and led them on. Eventually they came across a piece of leaf covering a wilted flower. Dende telekinetically moved the the leaf so that the flower could receive light. The flower seemed to recover at once.

"Beautiful." Videl said happily. They heard a loud noise and saw the thorny cylinder rolling after them yet again. Once again they fled from it, though Gohan noted it briefly lost its thorns as it rolled over the flower. Like last time they went through a path with two columns that caught the cylinder.

"What is it with that thing?" Oolong asked panting.

"I'm not sure, but I think it may be forcing us down a certain path." Gohan said. The group continued working their way through the labyrinth, solving various puzzles along the way and being chased by the cylinder every time they stopped to help something along the way. Eventually they came to a wide chasm in the stump. Countless threads of spider web dangled down the chasm, electricity sparking between them.

"Looks like thousands of jellyfish." Videl said softly.

"I imagine flying across isn't an option." Oolong said. Gohan nodded and looked around. Further to the right he saw a figure in the distance.

"There!" Gohan said and led them towards it. The figure actually looked a bit like Icarus, though had a head more similar to a pterodactyl.

"That's a Giras, one of them entered the 22nd tournament, I've heard they're kinda mean." Videl said softly.

"Ahh now don't be believing everything ye hear lass. We just like to troll a little bit." The Giras said.

"Yes, sorry sir. Do you know how we get across?" She asked.

"Indeed I do, you just have to pay my toll." He smiled mischievously.

"How much?" Gohan asked.

"Three." The Giras said.

"Three Zeni mister?" Gohan asked.

"Enigmas is my name by my decree, and by answering riddles three." Enigmas said. Gohan and Dende seemed to get a little excited. Videl giggled a little, thinking them silly.

"Go ahead then." Gohan said. Enigmas nodded.

"I can be cruel

Or full with joy a plenty.

Be I long or short

Given I can be

So another can keep me

If your love is strong

Make the most of me

Might be the best you can do

For I am fleeting." Enigmas said and carved the riddle onto a piece of wood. "I'm a game we all play. It's the game called what?" Enigmas asked with a smile.

Dende & Gohan began thinking deeply while Videl mumbled the words to the riddle again. "Hey they're just kids, make it multiple choice." Oolong said.

"Luckily for ya that this Enigmas is in a good mood. So be it. Five choices you have so listen well. Laughter, Love, Life, truth or umm a question." Enigma said.

"Love was already part of the riddle." Videl said. Gohan nodded.

"By process of elimination, it's the game called life." Gohan said smiling.

Enigmas chuckled and nodded. "True, but too easy. Now I feel far too flimsy. Now answer truly." Enigmas said and began to carve another riddle as he spoke again.

"I'm worth more than gold,

and can make what is new old,

but me ye can't hold.

I can be wasted

But if you have fun, am I?

So speak, what am I?" Enigmas riddled.

Once again Dende & Gohan were lost in thought while Videl repeated the riddle. "So what are the options this time?" Oolong asked. Enigmas shook his head.

"No more options, but close you are to the answer." Enigmas chuckled. Oolong pouted, stretching his head in thought but Gohan perked up.

"Wait what'd you say?" Gohan asked Oolong.

"What were the options this time." Oolong said confused. "Why does it matter?" He asked. Dende began smiling like Gohan was.

"Because I think you said the answer." Dende said as Gohan nodded.

"I'm not sure I follow…" Oolong said trailing off in thought.

"What's the only thing that can make something old that you can't hold, time." Dende said. Enigmas clapped his hands together and nodded.

"Right you are lad. And indeed it worth far more than gold and can be wasted, but time spent with good friends such as yours is rarely a waste." Enigmas said.

Dende nodded. "Wise words." He said.

"On to the next riddle please." Videl added.

"Indeed no need to waste more time so let us get on with the game of life. You've answered true through logic and then by perception, but now one that tests your understanding." Enigmas said and began carving a new riddle. "Those who need me do not deserve me. Though justice is said to need to be blind it is I who keeps the whole world from going blind for an eye for an eye. And by heeding my call ye have been led here, what am I?" Enigmas asked.

The group was quickly lost in thought as they dissected the riddle. Enigma's chuckled, believing them stumped. "Eye for an eye?" Dende asked.

"It's a saying that means repaying evil for evil isn't right." Gohan said.

"So how should it be repaid then?" Dende asked thinking aloud.

"Well that saying means we have to forgive sometimes." Videl said.

"And if you need forgiveness you don't deserve it." Gohan said getting excited.

"But how would it have led us hear?" Oolong asked. Gohan frowned thinking.

"Perhaps a word with a similar meaning to forgiveness that also has another meaning?" Dende asked. The group lost themselves in thought again.

"Justice and…" Gohan repeated a few times before his tail flicked as it came to him. "Oh wow. You can heed the call for mercy, by helping others along your way." Gohan said. Enigmas nodded.

"Which thou hath done to get here. Indeed. While others may see justice & mercy as opposites, I see them as two sides of the same coin. Both are needed for the other to flourish. Such is the way with many things in life. Ye hath all done well. One final test remains across the divide. Allow me to summon your way across." Enigma said and then began to sing "Do Re Mi Fa So La Ti Do!" As his voice got higher a covered wooden bridge rose, parting the sparking webs & making a safe path.

"Woah that looks really pretty." Videl smiled. Enigmas nodded.

"Good luck my friends." He said and waved bye to them.

"Thanks." Gohan said and led the others inside the bridge. Once across the bridge Enigmas sang again and the bridge lowered back into the depths. The group continued forward down a long straight path that led them to a stair case going down. Past the stairs they entered a circular room lit by torches.

"I believe we're near the center of the stump now." Dende said as they looked around. Near the center of the room stood five pedestals, each with a statue of a dragon above it. One carved of wood, another of stone, one made of chiseled ice, one of forged metal and lastly one made of glass that seemed to have a fire within it burning. After scanning the room they couldn't find another path aside the one they had just used to get there.

"This must be the final puzzle." Gohan said.

"Each is a representation of the five elements and tribes." Dende noted.

"So do we just put them in order?" Videl asked.

"Seems too easy, but I can't think of anything else…" Gohan said, his voice trailing off as he looked for more clues in the room. However aside from the five torches hanging in a circle from the ceiling the room was bare save for the pedestals and statues. Videl nodded. First she put the earth statue in place of the wood statue. Dende moved the metal statue to occupy the second pedestal. "Then we went to the mermaids." Gohan said and moved the ice statue to the third one. Videl put the wooden one in it's stead on the fourth one. The pedestals lowered slightly and ahead of them a section of wall lowered like a draw bridge. Behind it a set of stairs that led upwards.

"Guess it was that easy." Oolong said and led the group up the stairs. They then had to go through a long hallway that led to a flower five times their height.

"It's so beautif…" Videl was cut off as the flower grew and turned into a wood golem. Suddenly swinging axes appeared in the path behind them along with spikes shooting out from the walls among other various boobytraps.

"It's a trap!" Oolong said and turned into a nimbus cloud to escape through the traps. Realizing fighting had yet to be the answer, Gohan led the others in a retreat after Oolong. They narrowly escaped the various traps before making it to the stairs. Once on the stairs the steps moved and turned into a slide, sending them back to the room with the dragon statues. Dende used his mind to close the wall behind them.

"Like I said that was too easy, must be another answer." Oolong said. Gohan sighed in exasperation before looking around the room for more clues. Again the room was bare except for the five dragons and the lights. Gohan went to investigate the torches while Dende examined each of the statues.

"Hey each dragon seems to have a hook shape on some part of its body." Dende said.

"Okay but how does that tell us a different order to put them in?" Videl asked. Gohan looked at the line of pedestals and then the circle of torches.

"Because it isn't a line, but a cycle. They need to be in a circle." Gohan said. Videl tried to move one of the pedestals but it wouldn't budge.

"But they won't move." She said.

"The statues can." Dende said and levitated them.

"And the torches on the ceiling has a spot they can hook onto." Gohan said. Dende nodded and attached them to the torches in their order. Once all the statues were in place, the torches lowered slightly and a spiral stair case descended from the ceiling. "Now that's a good puzzle." Gohan said and led them up the staircase. They emerged into a bonsai forest. What at their normal size would be no larger than a food tray of bonsai plants seemed to be a massive forest. The stairs led to a path they followed to a teepee made of plants.

"Ahoy down there." Meadow giggled from high above as she made her descent to them. Just as she got near the barrier of webs a shadow loomed over her and the rest of the stump. "Not you again?" She said in fear before being struck by pink goo that left her trapped against a tree. The group heard a loud roar echo above them.

"Oh no, what's attacking her?" Oolong asked trying to see through the canopy above them. Gohan shook his head not knowing but took off to try and bust through the barrier of webs. However the webs stretched with him and electrocuted him. Gohan was slingshotted back to the ground by the web and was promptly healed by Dende.

"Maybe you can cut through it with a beam?" Dende asked. Gohan nodded and tried a Ki attack to cut it. Just as the webs began to get cut they'd quickly reattach. "Drat." Dende said.

"Gotch you now little fly." The voice boomed. A large tail like the trunk of an elephant reached down and grabbed Meadow. She struggled in vain to get free of the gummy material entrapping her.

"I could try going really small and fitting through the gaps in the web." Oolong said.

"The electricity could jump to you though." Gohan said.

"Maybe we could make the electricity hit something else?" Dende suggested. Gohan nodded.

"Could you make two walls of wood?" Gohan asked. Dende nodded and used magic to materialize them. "I'll use a wave of Ki to push one and you can push the other with your mind. That should keep him safe." Gohan said and Oolong gulped.

"Just to be safe Oolong could turn into a rubber ball as he goes through." Videl suggested. Oolong nodded. Gohan & Dende used the panels of wood to push apart the web. Oolong flew up in the form of a rocket and then changed into a small bouncy ball as he got close enough. He managed to get through and changed back into a rocket to get to Meadow. Once close enough he focused with every bit of his might and turned into Plantar's Titan Mode. Oolong head butted the monster in the gut and freed Meadow from the grasp of its tail.

"How do I free you from that goo?" Oolong asked Meadow telepathically.

"Just an electric shock will do, I'll be fine don't worry." She responded. Oolong extended tentacles to grab the monster as others reached down and grabbed the electric web over the stump. As electricity surged through them, the gum like material on Meadow turned into a liquid and then evaporated. Straining against the pain oolong managed to tear a large whole in the web. The monster roared in pain and then slammed Oolong with its tail. With a puff of smoke Oolong reverted to his normal self and was caught by Meadow.

"He made a way for us to help." Gohan said and started to take off but Videl pulled his arm.

"You're struggling to fight just bugs, how will you face it?" She asked worried.

"But…" Gohan said and then sighed nodding. He then got a big smile. "Then I'll go get help instead." Gohan said before making her let go and flying back down the path they came from.

"How'd this monster get here?" Oolong asked.

"That's Queen Girina of the Giras, my people are having tea time right now so no one's on lookout duty." Meadow explained.

"Great, well can't you call in the calvary or something?" Oolong asked. Meadow nodded.

"With a bugle call yes, but I don't have it with me." She said.

"But you can shape plants into instruments." Oolong said.

"Uh yeah… but ummm it has to be made of snail shell." She said and flew for cover as Girina let loose a wall of flames.

"Could you show me?" Oolong asked. She nodded and bended a leaf into its shape. Oolong studied it for a moment and then turned into one made of snail shell. Meadow blushed a little and gently picked him up and blew. The sound of the bugle rang out above the roar of Girina. She flapped her wings hard to try and push back the sound.

The bonsai trees above Videl & Dende began to shake due to the force of the wind. Gohan came back flying at top speed as he was chased by the wood golem. Gohan got to the others as the golem looked down at them and back up towards the sky. It changed into a dome above them to protect them.

Oolong changed back to normal giving Meadow a peck on the lips. She giggled and moved him in her arms. He tilted his head as he heard the forest teem with the sounds of giggles. Suddenly a swarm of fairies erupted from the woods, wielding small pin like weapons that they stabbed between the scales of the Giras Queen like a swarm of killer bees. At first the stings seemed to do nothing, but slowly it became clear that Girina was loosing control of her muscle movements. "What's going on?" Oolong asked.

"Their weapons are coated with a paralyzing toxin, a few pricks would make you arm numb… but that many should leave her motionless." Meadow said as Girina began to fall from they sky. A group of fairies began circling her as they played music. The Queen began shrinking as they continued their magic. Now that the the danger seemed to be past, the wood golem turned into a a whirlwind of leaves as it flew up away from the stump. It then went into the willows and used their limbs to stretch out and grab Girina, dragging her into the shadows of the forest. Meadow flew down to Gohan and the others, still carrying Oolong.

"What will become of her?" Oolong asked as he was sat down on the ground. His knees wobbled from weakness and he began to fall but Meadow knelt down and helped him stay standing.

"Oh we'll have her for a feast." She giggled as the others paled.

"I thought you guys were vegetarians?" Dende asked shocked. Meadow just nodded. "But you're having her for a feast?" He questioned.

"Well it is a special occasion." Meadow giggled. "But could you help Oolong stand, it seems that stunt he pulled to rescue me really drained him. There should be some extra tea leftover to help him." Meadow smiled as Gohan helped Oolong stand.

"Tea?" Gohan asked. Meadow nodded and took out the materials they had gained from his pockets and then showed them a sensu bean. "You're going to make tea from one bean?" Gohan asked.

Meadow nodded. "In a way, normally these mystical plants require a lot of time and care to grow. But with a bit of nature magic and these collected ingredients, I can make a plant grow from this seed in just a moment." She smiled sitting down. She put the bean into the coal bowl, poured half the water onto it and then all of the quicksilver on it. She then formed a harp from plants and played a song. In a moment the bean grew into a full sensu plant. "I'm going to make tea from different parts of the plant." She said getting up and picking up the plant that was rooted in the coal bowl as if a planter. "Be back in a buzz." She giggled and began walking towards the teepee at the center.

"What parts of the plant are you going to use?" Dende asked, following her.

"Everything, the roots, sap from the stem, nectar of its flowers, leaves and its fruit… would you like to watch?" She asked. Dende nodded happily and followed her inside. About thirty minutes later they came out with Dende holding the coal bowl and Meadow behind him with a small cup. "Careful don't spill it." Meadow said to Dende and acted as if she'd trip him.

"Not funny!" Dende said as he got close enough for the others to see the tea inside the bowl. Meadow giggled and used two leaves in her other hand to form a lid on the bowl. Dende breathed a sigh of relief. Meadow smiled and kneeled down beside Oolong and brought the cup she was holding up to him.

"Drink up, this will make you feel better." She smiled. Oolong nodded and drunk it up. He oinked and let off a small burst of power.

"Wow that was great, I'm sure it'd make Icarus better." Oolong said.

Meadow giggled. "It has some nice benefits. Though for Icarus he isn't going to drink it. You'll find out what to do with it at your next destination." She said and whistled for the bluejay to come to them.

"Benefits?" Oolong asked.

"Drinking that tea did something close to what Kami did for Videl and Elder Guru did for me and Gohan." Dende said to him. "It unlocked your potential." He added.

"Ohhh no, just cause I saved a pretty lady doesn't mean I'm going to be jumping into fights like Puar. No sir, absolutely not!" Oolong said as they got ready to ride the bluejay back.

"Oh but what if I'm in danger again and I need you to save defenseless little old me?" Meadow asked Oolong and kissed his cheek.

Oolong gulped blushing. "Like Bulma, you're anything but defenseless I think." Oolong said. Meadow giggled and flicked one of his ears playfully.

"Smart answer, now follow me." She smiled and flew off, leading them back to the fae city. After landing she lead them to her grandfather, they saw that a feast had been prepared.

"Another feast?" Gohan asked.

"Ha we should have guessed that the mer folk already treated you to one. You're still more than welcome join us, though this feast is actually to thank someone else. Gohan and his friends gawked seeing Girina sitting down enjoying the feast with some fairies. Enigmas was also there eating. "Why so shocked, I told you all we'd have the Queen over for a feast." Meadow giggled mischievously, giving the kids a good laugh themselves.

"I'd stay but I really want to help Icarus as we're so close." Gohan said. Videl & Dende nodded in agreement.

"I'll accept your hospitality." Oolong smiled.

"Good, allow me to show your friends off first." She said and led them to a fountain just outside the feast hall. She touched her hand in the water and hummed a melody until the fountain showed what looked to be the interior of Korin's tower. "Your next test awaits at the Fire Temple City. You can reach it by going down a well located inside Mount Frypan." Meadow said.

"Uhh mmm that mountain was actually destroyed at one point, My grandpa Ox did rebuild using the dragon balls but I don't know about a well getting restored." Gohan said.

"Do not fear young ones." Meadows grandfather answered from behind them. "A magical well like that, even if destroyed it would eventually reconstruct itself. I must warn you though, the fire priests are not the most agreeable lot. As such I've contacted an old friend to ensure you have a guide to help you. He'll meet you at the well." He said.

"Thank you sir." Gohan said bowing. Magnolias nodded.

"You don't have a straight connection there?" Videl asked. Magnolias shook his head.

"The fire priests have cloistered themselves off in more ways than one. As far as I know the well is the only means of directly reaching their home in the world between worlds." He said.

"You mean Other World?" Gohan asked.

"No, the fire priests make their home in the realm between this world and Otherworld. There are other means of entering that realm, but the well would be the easiest for you." Magnolias said. The three kids nodded.

"Thank you again." Videl smiled and jumped into the fountain, leading the others to come out of a pot in Korin's Tower while Oolong stayed behind.

Videl looked around at her surroundings and giggled, happy to be back at her normal size.

"Hey kid, it's been a while since that pot was used." Korin chuckled from nearby.

"Mister Korin." Gohan said bowing his head. "We'll be out of your hair soon." Gohan said.

"Ha that's a good one kid. Hmm but no worries. Kami informed me of the journey all of you are on. Since you came out of that pot I'm guessing you're off to see your grandpa now?" Korin asked. Gohan nodded smiling. "Hmm do be careful kid, those fire priests are a prickly lot. I wouldn't expect a warm welcome." He said.

"Yeah the fairies warned us, but said they'd have someone meet us there to help." Dende said.

"Very well then, good luck." Korin said as Nimbus awaited them and grew large enough for all of them to ride. Once on, Nimbus flew them straight to Ox King's castle. Sensing them approach Ox King ran out to greet them after delegating his duties to a steward for the moment.

"Greetings my King." One of the guards called out from atop a nearby tower that was being repaired. "Please be mindful of the construction." She added.

"Thanks for your concern." Ox King said and praised the stone masons currently at work as he watched them carefully pour a blend of melted rock from an obsidian chest to se. before a wide smile spread on his face as he spotted Nimbus flying towards him.

Once they landed he trapped Gohan in a bear hug. Gohan then explained their current mission to him.

"A well inside the mountain…. Uhh." Ox king said nervously. "Isn't there another way?" He asked and motioned them to follow him to an area free of prying ears.

"They said that's the best way, besides someone is supposed to meet us there." Dende said.

"Yeah but uhhh these fire spirits don't sound too trustworthy…" Ox king trailed off.

"Have you dealt with them before Grandpa?" Gohan asked. Ox began sweating nervously. "Grandpa?" Gohan asked again. Ox King gulped.

"Long ago, not long after my wife died… I… I sought out those spirits at that accursed well. In exchange for slaying three score demons, they'd protect my treasure. Though their protection was a bit too much. Their flames prevented even me from being able to get into my own castle. I nearly killed myself going back to the well to get them to undo it, but they said the deal was done, there was no going back." He said, his eyes beginning to water.

"It's okay grandpa." Gohan said and hugged his neck.

"What was the treasure you wanted to protect?" Dende asked.

Ox King smiled and patted Gohan's head. "Why his mother of course." He said. "We lost Chi-Chi's mom so suddenly, I began to worry what would happen to my baby girl if something happened to me. However in the end, my efforts only left us homeless." Ox king said softly.

"Meanies." Videl muttered quietly.

"But we still gotta work with them to help Icarus. Could you show us to the well?" Gohan asked. Ox King nodded and led them to the main dining hall of the castle. He made sure no one else was watching before he reached up towards a candle stick near a fireplace.

"Don't tell me you twist that and a secret passageway opens?" Videl asked.

"Of course not… you push it in." Ox King said and pushed it in some. A stair way appeared as the floor slid open. "Right this way." Ox King said and led them down about a half mile long tunnel that merged into a lava tube. The passage behind them quietly closed.

"Did you make this tunnel?" Dende asked.

"My ancestors did, well part of it. They connected to old lava tubes within the mountain. Most of the passageways can be used as a means of defense or escape. This one however holds only one secret." Ox King said as they seemed to come to a dead end. He grabbed the wall of earth in front of them and rolled it to the side and continued to lead them on. Eventually they came to an old ornate well inside a circular cavern. Around the walls of the cavern stood five ancient torches with three of them still burning. Two of them burning brighter than the third. A fourth torch was barely smoking some while the fifth was as cold as steel in the winter.

"So do we just dive in?" Videl asked a little scared.

"Oh not quite yet." Ox king said and shuffled in his pockets looking for something. He pulled out a zeni. Using Ki he caught it on fire and let it fall into the well. Smoke soon crept from the well and formed the visage of Grandpa Gohan. Ox King's eyes lit up. "Brother Gohan!" He boomed. The youthful Gohan watched the smoke in the form of his namesake with awe. He was left speechless.
