Chapter Two: Presentations.

Disclaimer: I don't own Inuyasha

A/N: This chapter has near death encounters that might be triggering to some readers! Reader discretion is advised! Also, I've made some small changes/fixes to the first chapter, not enough that you would have to read it again, though you can if you want too... Also, I will try to update once a week, however, that won't always be possible, so once a week or two or three times a month. Just know that this story will not be abandoned and will be finished! Another thing, this chapter is sort of like an information/filler chapter. I'm sorry if it seems boring or slow but it is needed!

One more thing! I want to thank my friend, Vesper! She does a fantastic job at reading/editing my chapters! Please, go show her some love on her TikTok, vesper_grim! Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter!

Inuyasha and his team ran down the stairs that led into the hallway, however, they saw that they weren't the first ones there. They weren't the second ones there, no, they were the third ones there. Teams yellow and green were already there waiting for the other teams to show up.

"Team red, welcome, please stand off to the side while we wait for teams blue and orange to arrive." Dean Naraku ordered while he stood at the top of a staircase.

Inuyasha was seething, he was seriously pissed off that they weren't the first ones there, as they moved to stand off to the side.

Kagome noticed that Inuyasha was unhappy with their situation, which she wasn't very happy about either, but his reaction made her shoulders and back tense up. She knew that he was going to blame her, and maybe even Sango, about them being late.

Several moments passed before the allotted time given for the assignment was over, team blue ran into the hallway followed shortly by team orange right before the timer went off indicating that the time for the assignment was over and it was now time to give their presentations.

"Welcome, team blue and team orange, please stand off to the side and we'll get started with your presentations." Naraku spoke as he started down the stairs to stand in front of team yellow. "Since team yellow arrived first, we'll start with them. Koga, would you like to go first?"

"Sure." Koga nodded before stepping forward.

"First, tell us what your clues were before telling us what happened to you." Naraku demonstrated.

"Okay, the clue that I found in the room I woke up in was blades of grass. The clues that I found in my room were pictures of detached motorcycle parts that littered the ground, a helmet with scrapes on it and a person on a lawnmower." Koga counted on his fingers. "I was riding my motorcycle one day and lost control of my bike when I ran over freshly mowed grass on the road."

"And if your team won the second chance, what would you do differently?" Naraku asked.

"Maybe pay more attention to what's on the road." Koga mumbled with a shrug as he brought his hand up to scratch the back of his head.

"Very good." Naraku nodded in approval. "Ginta, your turn."

Ginta cleared his throat as he stepped forward. "The clue I found when I woke up were several pill bottles. The three clues I found in my room were pictures of a weight scale, a toilet and a diagram of swollen bowels. I started feeling sick one day and could barely leave the bathroom without losing the contents of my intestines in my pants. I started not being able to eat well and lost a bunch of weight, however, no matter how many doctors I went to - none of them could tell me what was wrong with me. It wasn't until I was extremely weak and could barely keep consciousness that I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's disease, but by the time that they found out what was really wrong with me, I was in critical condition. I remember hearing them panic but that was all I remember before the blackness creeped in."

"And if you won the second chance, what would you do differently?" Naraku asked.

"There's not much I can do differently other than go to a doctor that knows what the hell they're doing." Ginta answered.

"Fair enough." Naraku replied with a nod. "Hakkaku, you're next. What were your clues?"

"The clue that I found when I woke up was a dead sandfly. The clues that I found in my room were pictures of a volcano-like bump on my arm, a beach, and of a swollen liver and spleen." Hakkaku answered as he looked towards Naraku.

Naraku nodded. "What happened to you?"

"I went on vacation with my family to the beach and was bitten by a sandfly on my arm. I contracted Visceral Leishmaniasis from that bite, but I ignored the symptoms until I was in dire condition." Hakkaku mumbled with a shrug.

"And if you were to win the second chance at life, what would you do differently?" Naraku asked.

"I will never ignore anything going on with my body ever again." Hakkaku promised as he shook his head.

"Good, good." Naraku nodded before moving onto the next. "Ayame, what about you?"

"My clues were a small bag of rocks and pictures of a hiking trail next to a cliff, a slide and three girls. I am an extreme danger explorer professional. However, on one of my expeditions that I went on with three of my friends that were also professionals, a rockslide happened - and I fell down the huge cliff before everything went black." Ayame recanted as she stepped forward.

"And what would you do differently if your team wins?"

"Nothing." Ayame answered with a shrug.

"Nothing?" Naraku asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Yeah, nothing." Ayame confirmed with a nod. "I love living my life on the edge. I am not going to allow one accident to dictate what I do with the rest of my life. I will not tolerate fear to tell me how to live my life."

"That's fair." Naraku conceded with a nod. "Royakan, you're next."

Royakan nodded before stepping forward. "My clues were a chainsaw and pictures of trees, a tree climbing harness, a large tree limb on the ground and a ladder. I was trying to cut down a troublesome tree that was in my backyard because every summer hornets used that tree to make their nests in. So, one day I decided to cut it down myself because hiring a tree service was too expensive. I watched multiple YouTube videos to learn how to do it, and I felt confident in myself and bought everything that I would need to get the job done. However, when I was up in the tree, I started cutting but lost my balance and fell to the ground. I didn't have my harness on right and that's why I fell all the way to the ground before the large tree limb that I was cutting fell completely off the tree and landed on top of me, crushing me."

"Keh, idiot." Inuyasha muttered with a scoff and a roll of his eyes.

"Inuyasha, it's rude to interrupt someone's presentation, that'll be ten points against your teams' goal." Naraku dictated as he clicked his tongue before looking back at Royakan. "What would you do differently?" He asked while Kagome elbowed Inuyasha in his side causing him to grunt in pain as he brought his hand up to rub the slight ache away and casted a scowl at Kagome but didn't do anything to get even, yet.

"I honestly wouldn't do anything differently. I'd rather spend as little money as possible. I'd much rather do things myself than to pay someone thousands of dollars that I can do for free." Royakan answered.

"Understandable. The next team that arrived was the green team. Sesshomaru, would you like to go first?" Naraku went on, moving to the next team.

Inuyasha scoffed once again and rolled his eyes once more at the mention of Sesshomaru's name.

"What is wrong with you!?" Kagome hissed under her breath as she grabbed at Inuyasha's sleeve before jerking him to face her. "You're going to cause us to lose more points! We're going to lose because of you!"

"Keh." Was the only answer Kagome got before Inuyasha shrugged her hand off his shirt and turned away from her.

"Very well." Sesshomaru sighed, ignoring Inuyasha and Kagome's little squabble as he stepped forward. "My clues were a 'Model of the Year Award' and pictures of a catwalk, of paparazzi and a man that looked jealous. I am the number one model. I received the Model of the Year Award, and the runner up asked me out for drinks to celebrate. However, I started feeling really weird and knew something was off, but when I tried to do something about it - I fell, and everything went black. I think that the runner up tried to kill me so he could have the award of the greatest model."

"What would you do differently?"

"Not trust my competition." Sesshomaru answered.

"Okay. Jaken, you're next."

"My clues are a rather large stinger from an insect and pictures of a thermometer that showed a very high temperature, of a forest, and an ice pack on top of someone's head. I got stung by a rather large flying insect while hiking through a forest." Jaken answered.

"What did you learn about the events that happened to you?" Naraku asked.

"I learned to always carry bug spray and to wear the right hiking gear." Jaken responded.

"Very good. Kohaku, you're next. Tell us what your clues were, what happened and what you would do differently or what you've learned." Naraku instructed.

Kohaku nodded as he stepped forward. "My clues were a wet rope that was cut in half and pictures of cinder blocks, the disguise I was wearing and of a woman. What happened was I am working for a family business that is sort of like the CIA but not exactly, we are a newly found business that the police approved of for extra backup and extra help in case they have trouble finding a suspect or trouble solving a crime. It was my first mission, and I was doing great, however, a noise sounded that raised their suspicions. They ordered whoever was hiding to come out and show themselves. Imagine my surprise to witness my sister walk out, I couldn't keep my composure and gave away my cover. They attacked us, beating us up pretty well before tying us to cinder blocks and throwing us in the water. I remember feeling anger and panic but then nothing else." He stopped talking for a few seconds as he took in a deep breath before continuing. "What I learned is that I can't always trust family and that they also do trust that you can get the job done. What I would do differently would be not to assume that your sister, or family member, has your best interest at heart when they don't and could get you killed."

"Nice job. Rin, it's your turn." Naraku replied as he waved at her to step forward.

"Okay." Rin, a young girl around the age of eight, mumbled as she stepped forward. "Um, my clues were clippings of animal fur and pictures of bloody and torn clothes, of the woods and of bloody animal prints. What happened was I was playing in the woods with some other kids when wolves started circling us. We got scared and started running but I was the slowest and tripped so the wolves attacked me while the other kids got away. What I learned is to listen to my parents when they tell me not to play in the woods because it's dangerous."

"Good. Totosai, you're up next." Naraku spoke.

An older man nodded before stepping up and clearing his throat. "My clues were a see-through ball that when I touched it, it produced lightning that came from the middle and attached to the tip of each finger and pictures of a cloudy sky, of a rainy night and a car that was on fire. What happened was I was driving in my car on the way home from work when I was struck by lightning causing me to be electrocuted and crash my car. What I learned is not to drive during a thunderstorm."

"Good, good. Next is team red. Inuyasha, would you like to go first?" Naraku asked as he looked at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Keh." Inuyasha scoffed with an eye roll but stepped forward all the same. "My clues were a torn piece of my uniform and pictures of my teammates, of the American flag and of my army boots. I threw myself over a bomb to try to protect my teammates from getting hurt. Luckily, it was more or less a dud. It still hurt like hell though, until I passed out. I wouldn't do anything differently; I'd rather save people from getting hurt than save myself."

Once Inuyasha was done with his presentation, Kagome took a deep breath and let it out slowly before taking a step forward. "My clues were an empty alcohol bottle and pictures of a gun, a wedding dress with blood on the front of it and a picture of a man. It was a week before my wedding, and I had just gotten my dress back from the tailor after they had finished altering it. I tried it on to make sure that everything was right and nothing else needed to be fixed, it was perfect. I twirled around the room while both my mom and I laughed and had fun. My fiancé came into my room drunk and accused me of cheating on him when I didn't. However, he didn't believe me and shot me in the chest. What I would do differently would be not to ignore the red flags and if I think I can fix someone, I need to realize that I can't."

"My clues were a rope that was cut in half and pictures of a name that isn't mine, a picture of the disguise that I was wearing and a picture of my brother." Sango spoke up as she stepped up to take her turn. I made the mistake of not trusting my brother could get the job done on his own. I was just nervous; it was his first mission going up against one of the most dangerous men in the city. I was going to stand back and stay hidden while I kept an eye on him just to make certain that he didn't need back up. However, I accidentally knocked something over, I alerted them that I was there and demanded that I show myself. When I walked out, Kohaku couldn't keep his composure and blew his cover. They beat us up and tied us to cinder blocks before throwing us in water. What I learned is never doubt your brother, sister or friend of not being able to do something that they've trained for years to do. I am so sorry Kohaku; I really wish that I could take what I did back and trust that you are capable of doing what needs to be done." She apologized with tears running down her face as she looked at Kohaku. Her heart broke when all he did was look away from her with a mad expression on his face.

Miroku stepped up next before speaking. "My clues were a briefcase with something in it though I have no key to open it and pictures of drugs, of all my weapons that I keep in my basement and a list of a lot of girls' names. I am one of the biggest drug lords there is in my parts. I had all the money and had a different girl in my bed every night. However, the girls started getting jealous that I wasn't keeping any one of them around and started drugging my food. I felt awful for several days before I lost consciousness. I don't think I'd do anything differently because that would mean that I'd have to change my lifestyle, and I don't think I am ready to do that just yet."

Shippo took a deep breath in before letting it out and took his turn next. "My clues were a magic book and pictures of my father's car, of a school gymnasium full of people with an empty stage in the middle and of my parent's. I went to a talent show that my school was holding and won first place with my magic routine. Driving home after the show, it was storming and the car ahead of us lost control and caused a car pile-up. I don't remember anything after the crash happened. There's not much I could do differently besides not go to the talent show and just stay home."

"Very good. Team Blue, you're next, please, tell us your stories." Naraku spoke as he gestured towards the blue team. "Kanna, would you like to go first?

Kanna, a girl with pale blonde - almost white - hair and deep brown eyes with pale skin stepped forward with a sigh and a monotone voice spoke her answer. "My clues were a thermometer that was stuck on the coldest temperature and pictures of my snowboard, of a snow slope with ski lifts and of large piles of snowdrifts. I was skiing with family and friends, but my board wasn't attached to my feet right which made me lose control a few minutes after coming off the ski lifts and crashed into a large snowdrift before getting completely buried by snow. I tried to get out, however, I couldn't. I could hear people calling out for me, but I couldn't answer them to tell them where I was. I was freezing, though, soon I actually started feeling warm before everything went black. What I would do differently would make sure everything is connected properly before going skiing."

Once Kanna was done speaking, Hakudoshi stepped forward to take his turn with a sigh and a roll of his eyes, looking very disinterested with this whole thing. "Clues were a horseshoe and pictures of horses, of my family's ranch and of a horse's saddle. My father brought in a wild mustang and instructed me to try and break the horse. It was my first time doing this, but I had watched several other horses get broken and was positive that I'd be able to do it. At first everything was going great; however, something spooked the horse and sent it into a panic causing it to kick me in the head and trample over me. What I would do differently would be to be hyper aware of my surroundings while dealing with a wild animal and try to make the threat go away before something goes wrong."

Moryomaru was next to speak about his events. "My clues were a pack of cigarettes with, regrettably, no real lighter and pictures of black lungs, an iron lung and a picture of a lighter. I developed lung cancer by smoking too much. What I would do differently would be try to quit smoking, I guess." He said with a shrug before stepping back.

Kikyo took her turn next. "My clues were some empty alcohol bottles and pictures of a street lined with bars, of a club and my really expensive purse that I had thrown up in. I got into the party scene and was drinking almost every night. I went overboard the other night and drank way too much, threw up everywhere, I guess passed out and woke up here. What I would do differently would be either to know my limit or to quit drinking altogether."

Kageromaru was next as he stepped forward before he started speaking. "My clues were a bag full of dirt and pictures of a homemade coffin, a large freshly dug hole that was big enough for the coffin to fit in and of a shovel. I crossed the wrong people after investigating when I heard suspicious noises and witnessed something that I wasn't supposed to. They beat me up before throwing me into a homemade casket that already had a body in it. They threw the casket in the hole, and I could hear the dirt hitting the lid of the coffin. What I would do differently would be, I guess, to mind my own business."

"Fair enough. Orange team is up next, Bankotsu, would you like to go first?" Naraku asked as he looked at Bankotsu.

"Sure." Bankotsu answered with a shrug as he stepped forward. "My clues were brass knuckles and pictures of two gang names, one that belonged to my gang and the other that belonged to a different gang, and of a sketchy bar and finally a picture of a bloody baseball bat. My gang and I were riding our motorcycles when we came up on a bar, feeling a little thirsty we decided to stop for a drink. However, we didn't realize that this certain bar was already claimed by a rival gang. They came up to us and demanded that we leave, we said no. They threatened us with bodily harm if we didn't leave, we still refused, and a fight broke out. I was taking out multiple men until several men jumped me at the same time, taking me down and beating me until I lost consciousness. What I would do differently would be to go over fighting strategies with my men so something like this doesn't happen again."

Jakotsu was next as he stepped forward to tell his side of the events. "My clues were a bag of my teeth and pictures of a gay bar that I frequent a lot, the next was of a really hot guy and of a really angry woman. I was just minding my business when this hunk of a man sat beside me at the bar and started flirting with me. This guy was sinfully sexy, so I started shamelessly flirting back. However, after the man had bought me a drink, his wife came and started fighting with him - so I got between them and told her that the guy was coming home with me that night. She started threatening me, but I wouldn't back down, so she left, and I thought that I had won, and my prize was this deliciously handsome man that I just wanted to run my tongue all over... But as we continued to drink and laugh and flirt with one another, I was jerked out of my chair and dragged outside before getting jumped by about five or six dangerously gorgeous men! I was on cloud nine that all my sexual fantasies were coming true. I wouldn't change anything; I loved every minute of it and don't think I've ever came harder in all my life. It was truly erotic, and I would love to experience something like that again." He finished with a dreamy smile as he stepped back, indicating that he was finished prompting Mukotsu to take his turn.

"My clues were a vial of poison and pictures of some ingredients that are used to make a type of poison, of a caution sign with fumes on it and of a skull and crossbones. I am a professional poison maker; however, I didn't know that our ventilation system was down and that we weren't supposed to be working on any type of poison until it was fix. I accidentally poisoned myself while working on a new type of poison. What I would do differently would be to make sure everything is in working order before starting my work." Mukotsu finished as he returned to his spot that he was standing in before he stepped forward.

Kyokotsu took his turn. "My clues were a box of tourniquets and pictures of hard drugs, of needles and a bunch of different drug pipes. I overdosed on drugs. What I would do differently would be to get help on quitting drugs."

Ginkotsu took his turn with a sigh. "My clues were an x-ray of my crushed bones and pictures of my workplace, of the machine that I work on frequently and of a man that I had some trouble with in the past. I was working on a machine that had broken down, I had made double sure that the emergency stop had been engaged before I even started working on it. However, as I was in the middle of fixing the machine, it turned on and crushed me. I suspect that the guy that I've been having conflict with was the one that turned the machine back on. What I would do differently would be having someone keep watch while I work on the downed machines."

"Very good. I'm pleasantly surprised that everyone has remembered correctly what happened to them." Naraku praised them all with a slight smile. "Now, since the yellow team arrived first, they receive twenty-five points towards their goal, the green team receive twenty points for being the second one's here, the red team receive fifteen points for being the third one's here - however - due to them being negative fifteen, they're at zero points right now, the blue team receive ten points, and the orange team receives five points. You've all done a very good job on this assignment, and I expect you to continue to do a good job on the upcoming assignments as well as on tests. It is now dinner time, so make your way towards the cafeteria to get your meals. Tomorrow will be the first day of class, you're all expected to be present for breakfast in the morning at eight am, don't be late, and class will begin at nine-thirty. You are all dismissed." Naraku spoke before all the lights went off causing it to be so dark in the room that you weren't able to see your hand in front of your face.

Everyone in the room heard a grunt and then a gurgling noise before the lights came back on. There was a collective gasp before people started screaming, crying, stunned into silence or asking what was going on.

There was what seemed to be like a tentacle jutting from the floor and had stabbed Royakan in the chest, killing him on the spot.

"Hey, what's the big idea here!?" Inuyasha asked in anger as he stepped up to face Naraku.

"Inuyasha, don't! Please!" Kagome begged as tears ran down her face while she grabbed Inuyasha's sleeve and tried to drag him back to their group.

"Keh!" Inuyasha scoffed and shrugged away from Kagome's hold on him. "What the fuck happened here!?" He asked as people started to form behind him, all with pissed off looks on their faces. The people included Koga, Ayame, Kohaku, Sesshomaru and Bankotsu.

"Yeah, just exactly what game are we playing at!?" Koga asked in rage.

"This 'game' you're playing is getting back to your life." Naraku replied simply as he stared back at all the players. "I highly suggest those of you that said you wouldn't change a thing about what happened to you to rethink your decision. Now, you are dismissed to go to dinner." He waved his dismissal before turning towards the double door the stairs he was standing on were connected to.

"Wait, Dean Naraku!" Shippo called out as he shook out of his shock and ran towards the stairs with Sango following close behind him.

Naraku turned to face Shippo with a raised eyebrow.

"My parents were in that car with me but they're not here, what does that mean? Are they okay?" Shippo asked with a shaky voice with tears in his eyes.

"Sadly, I am unable to answer that." Naraku spoke, not really sounding sorry at all. "They are either alright or were too badly injured to even be offered a second chance. That will have to be something that you figure out if you win the second chance prize." He stated in a matter-of-fact tone before turning back around and disappearing through the double doors.

*X*

Standing in line waiting for their turn to receive their food. Kagome still had silent tears rolling down her face, she had never seen a death up close and personal like that and it scared the crap out of her. All she could think of was Inuyasha and Miroku's decision not to change anything that happened, and that scared her as well. Even though she didn't know them as well, she still didn't want them to die. She had to come up with a way to talk them into changing their minds about that.

It was their turn to get their food next and the lunch lady slopped a dollop of smelly gray mushy substance on their plates before placing some pairs, green beans and a brownie that looked like it was over cooked a week ago.

"Ugh, nice." Inuyasha mumbled as he looked with disdain at his plate but went ahead and grabbed a drink and went to find a seat with the others following him, feeling the same way about their meal.

Kagome had her elbow on the table with her head resting in her hand as she moved the gray mush around with her fork, not eating. She had too much on her mind, too many things that she had to think through before she started trying to talk. She had to get Inuyasha and Miroku to try and change what happened to them, she didn't want to watch them die. She sighed as she looked up from her plate to start what she was sure to be a difficult conversation, however, before she started talking, she noticed that Sango was looking off to the side while biting her bottom lip. She followed her line of vision and saw that she was staring at her brother. Her eyes darted back to Sango before placing her hand onto of Sango's, gaining her attention before sending her an understanding smile.

"You should go talk to him." Kagome suggested in a quiet voice and a small smile with a tilt of her head in Kohaku's direction.

"But... What if he doesn't want to talk to me?" Sango asked with slight fear in her eyes.

"Then at least you can say you tried." Kagome replied quietly.

Sango sighed as she looked down at her plate for a few seconds before looking back up at Kagome, giving her a nod as she stood up and made her way towards Kohaku's table.

"Um, hey, Kohaku - can we talk for a minute?" Sango asked nervously.

Kohaku let loose an aggravated sigh before standing up and walking off towards the back of the room where there wasn't anyone around and they could talk in private, Sango followed him.

"What do you want, Sango?" Kohaku asked angrily as he turned to face her with an irritated scowl.

"Oh, um, I just wanted to apologize for causing you to be here." Sango started but was stopped with another of Kohaku's aggravated sighs.

"I don't want your apology; it means nothing to me now." Kohaku spat as his face twisted with even more irritation. "What I want is something you can't ever give me now. It's something that no apology can fix, not now, not ever."

"What is it?" Sango asked with desperation in her voice. It killed her knowing that her brother was mad at her and that there might never be a way to fix that for him.

"I wanted you to believe in me! I wanted you to trust that I've been trained well enough to get any job done without you butting in! I already had backup; you were not needed! All I ever wanted was for you to believe in me, but you've shown me that you don't! No apology can ever fix what you've done! We could both die because of you!" Kohaku yelled in frustration.

"Kohaku," Sango mumbled with tears in her eyes, "I'm so sor-"

"No!" Kohaku shouted, cutting Sango's words off. "You don't get to apologize; I will never accept it. And unless you can rewind the clocks of time and change what you've done, I will never talk to you ever again!" He shouted before turning around and stomping back to his table.

Sango broke out in sobs as she ran out of the cafeteria and to the red team's floor, then to her room before slamming her door shut.

Kagome, who had witnessed the whole thing, ran after her and knocked on her door. "Sango?" She called softly through the door. "Sango, please, talk to me. I want to help if I can."

The door opened slowly, revealing Sango who was on the verge of hyperventilating. "Th-there i-is no hel-helping m-me. H-he said th-that h-e doe-sn't want a-anything to d-o with m-e, un-less I c-can ch-ange wh-at I d-did."

Kagome's heart broke for Sango as she wrapped her arms around her and held her as she cried on her shoulder. She made quiet shushing noises as she ran her fingers through her hair and gently rocked her back and forth in attempts of calming the distressed woman down.

"Shh, I am so sorry, Sango." Kagome whispered as she continued to rock Sango from side to side. "I know everything will work out in the end, you'll see, he'll calm down and forgive you. He'll realize that everyone makes mistakes and change his mind soon."

"I ho-pe so." Sango sobbed as she continued to cry on Kagome's shoulder.

A few minutes later, Sango and Kagome had moved to the couch as Sango tried to calm down. Inuyasha, Miroku and Shippo walked in the suite a few minutes later to see that Sango had cried herself to sleep on the couch, with her head in Kagome's lap, and Kagome was running her fingers through the sleeping woman's hair.

"Is she alright?" Miroku whispered as he looked at Sango with concern evident in his eyes.

"She will be. It'll just take time for both of them to forget what happened." Kagome whispered back as she looked down with a sad frown on her lips. "Kohaku is full of resentment and rage for what Sango did, and Sango is full of regret and sorrow. It'll take both of them some time to heal from this."

"Keh!" Inuyasha scoffed with a scowl on his face. "Well, she better hurry up and get over it! We can't afford any more weaknesses in our group! Having this runt on our team is bad enough." He huffed as he jabbed his finger in Shippo's direction.

"Hey!" Shippo yelled in defense, though he was ignored.

Kagome scoffed before carefully sliding out from under Sango's head so she could stand up. "What is wrong with you!? Don't you have any compassion in that big dumb body of yours!?" She yelled quietly so as not to wake Sango up. "Why do you have to be so mean!?"

"Sorry, doll face," Inuyasha grunted, not sounding very sorry at all, "I don't do nice. Never have, probably never will."

Kagome sighed in frustration as she pinched the bridge of her nose between her pointer finger and her thumb while she closed her eyes and bowed her head. "My name is Kagome! Anyway, I am not up for a fight right now, so I'm going to bed, goodnight." She muttered before moving towards her room and disappeared behind her door.

Miroku sighed as he ran his fingers through his hair. "It's probably wise that we all get a good night's sleep. We don't know what tomorrow will bring us, best to have a good night's sleep to better prepare us."

"Yeah." Shippo agreed as both he and Miroku walked to their respective rooms.

"Keh!" Inuyasha scoffed before trudging to his room for the night.

Hope you enjoyed this chapter! Until next time, bye!
