Chapter 2: new time, new friends
Disclaimer: I do not own the Smurfs, they are owned by Peyo. I do not own Back to the Future or its characters, they are owned by Universal. I only own Hector Smurf and Emily Smurf because they are my OCs. I also don't own any songs or lyrics that might be featured in this chapter, some lyrics might be changed. If the song is a parody, I don't own the original version of the song or the lyrics. Anyways, enjoy.
Author's note: I forgot to put Smurfette's name in the last chapter, but she also traveled with the other smurfs. Hope that explains why she's here.
As the smurfs explored their new surroundings, they were all very concerned when the portal was already closed. "Um, Papa Smurf, Willow, how are we supposed to get home with the portal closed?" said Brainy.
"Don't worry, Brainy. I'm sure that the portal will open again soon once the blue moon appears," said Papa Smurf.
"Until then, we all stick together no matter what happens," said SmurfWillow. She then noticed that Hector was in a trash can. "Hector what are you doing?"
"Looking at this thing called a newspaper. Looks like we must've smurf to the future," said Hector, as he brought the newspaper to the other smurfs. He then showed everyone the date of the newspaper, which had the year 1985.
"Whoa, we smurfed five hundred and thirty years into the future," said SmurfLily.
"Okay, so now we know when we are, but we still don't know anything about this place," said SmurfStorm. She then noticed the article on the front page of the newspaper. "Hey, look at this. 'Local scientist receives award for new invention.' Maybe this scientist can help us understand more about this village."
"Great thinking, Stormy. Now we just need to figure out how to find him," said Clumsy. Suddenly, the smurfs all heard a loud meowing, which revealed itself to be… Azrael. "Which we'll find out later! Run!"
The smurfs all ran away from the evil cat, which eventually led them up a tree, but not before Azrael could snag some of Smurfette's hair in his mouth. "Take this, whiskers!" said Vexy, as she saved her sister from being eaten alive by Azrael.
"Way to go, Vexy!" said Hector. Just as he was climbing the tree, Hector accidentally tripped off the tree, and landed on a nearby bench. This managed to get Azrael's attention, as he began to run towards the smurfling. "Uh oh!"
Luckily for him, Hector managed to hide in a nearby backpack, which was picked up by… Marty McFly, as he was getting ready to head home after a long day at school.
"Great, now Hector needs rescuing again," said Hefty, as Marty McFly was carrying his backpack to his car. The other smurfs made their way to the top of Marty's car, as the car began to drive.
"I hope Hector can breathe in that backpack," said SmurfStorm, who was worried about her son. As the car was driving away, Gargamel spotted the smurfs.
"Stop, smurfs!" said Gargamel, as he chased the car. Once Marty drove to a red light, he stopped the car, causing Gargamel to hit his head on the back of the car, knocking him down to the ground.
"Ha ha! Smell ya later, Gargamel," said SmurfBlossom.
"You've had that coming for forty years!" said Farmer, as the vehicle began to drive off.
Later while Marty was driving through the town of Hill Valley, the smurfs were amazed at the sight of the town. "Woah, this village is wonderful," said Vanity.
"Yes, and likely very dangerous," said Papa Smurf. "Until we get Hector, we all have to stay close together."
Later that night…
Marty parked his car in the driveway of his house, giving the Smurfs the opportunity to climb up onto a nearby tree. "Great, more tree climbing," said Grouchy, sarcastically.
"Oh, I hope Hector is still safe in that backpack," said Emily.
"How are we supposed to know which room he's even in," said Handy.
"We'll have to check every window," said SmurfStorm.
"I don't do windows," said Grouchy, as they went to search through the windows.
Meanwhile, inside of the McFly house, Marty placed his backpack on his bed, and he went to his desk to do some research.
"Man, what creature would be cool and original to me," said Marty, to himself. He then looked at his notebook for the description of the assignment, and one word stood out to him: mythical. "That's it, I can do an essay about a mythical creature."
At that moment, Hector managed to sneak his way out of Marty's backpack, and he made his way to the hallway. "What kind of house is this?" Hector asked himself. Without knowing it, Hector accidentally bumped into a dog. "Oh, hello."
The dog stood up and looked at the smurfling, which signaled for him to run. "Hector, is that you?" said SmurfStorm, who was unaware that Hector had left Marty's room. She then spotted the backpack that Hector was in. "Smurfs, I found the backpack!"
The Smurfs all quietly walked towards the backpack, hoping that Hector was still inside. Unfortunately, Hector was not in the backpack. "Dang it, he's gone!" said Clumsy.
"He must still be in here somewhere," said Smurfette.
Suddenly, Marty stood up from his desk, causing the smurfs to hide in his backpack. "Maybe there's something in my backpack that can help me," said Marty. He then took his backpack to his desk.
Back with Hector, he managed to outrun the dog by hiding in the bathroom. Unfortunately, the dog was still on the other side of the door, so escaping was not an option. He then used all his might to climb up onto the sink, where he felt safer than ever before.
His safety was short-lived when the door started to open, causing Hector to jump onto the roll of toilet paper, which he had started to run on, causing the toilet paper to fall into the bathtub, clogging it up.
As the door began to open, Hector quickly started to panic, as he dove into the mess of toilet paper.
The door then opened, revealing Marty's mother and father, Lorraine and George McFly, who were curious as to what was wrong with the dog.
"I'm telling you, someone broke in. Einstein always acts like this when he sees someone he doesn't like," said George, who was referring to the dog, whose name was Einstein.
"I know, dear, but there's never been a break in since 1975," said Lorraine. She then looked into the bathtub, and found a pile of toilet paper. She groaned. "Einstein! Did you do that?"
She then used the nearby toilet brush to pick up the toilet paper, which then started to shake. As Hector burst out of the toilet paper, Lorraine and George screamed in terror at the sight of the smurfling, who screamed back at the sight of the humans.
Back with Marty, he opened his backpack and was shocked to see little blue people. The smurfs all screamed at the sight of the human, who screamed back at them. The smurfs, in the midst of the screaming, heard Hector screaming in a room nearby. "Hector's here!" said SmurfStorm.
The smurfs all made a daring escape from Marty's backpack, as they frantically searched the house for Hector.
Back with Marty's parents, they had managed to calm down and gently place the smurfling near the sink, but Lorraine was still pointing the toilet brush at the blue creature. "Please, don't hurt me! I just want to go home," said Hector.
"Who are you?! What are you?!" asked George, who was clearly frightened but trying to hold in his fear.
"I'm not saying smurf until you put down the… giant spiky thing," said Hector. "I don't mean any harm, I'm just trying to find my fellow Smurfs."
Back with the rest of the smurfs, they were still searching for Hector. "Hector, where are you kiddo?" said Clumsy.
"What is this place? It's strange and terrifying… and so handsome," said Vanity, who was looking at his reflection in a nearby mirror. "Hello you."
"Vanity, focus!" said Emily, as she searched for Hector through the couch cushions. "Where is he?"
"I think I heard him in the hallway," said SmurfStorm, as the smurfs followed her to the hallway. "This way!" They were all stopped by Einstein. "Never mind, other way!"
"Einstein, sit!" said Marty, causing the canine to stop in his tracks, allowing the smurfs to search for Hector. "Sorry about that, Einstein doesn't usually attack people. Now, who are you? And what are you?"
"Well, to answer your first and second question, we're smurfs," said Handy. "We're just trying to find one of our fellow smurfs."
"Did he look like this?" said George, as he entered the conversation. In his left hand, he was holding Hector carefully, making sure that the smurfling didn't fall. "We found him in the restroom."
George then carefully placed the smurfling on the floor, followed by Hector being hugged by his fellow smurfs. "Don't ever scare me like that again," said SmurfStorm, facing her son.
"I won't, but I think we'll have to explain our situation to these humans," said Hector. The smurfs looked back at the humans, and began to explain their situation.
Meanwhile, with Gargamel…
Gargamel and Azrael were in an unknown location, where they had built a smurf essence extracting machine out of junk from a nearby dumpster. Since Azrael had thrown up the hair of Smurfette, Gargamel had enough essence for his own magical purpose.
The only thing he needed… was more essence.
That's all for now. Sorry this took so long to release, I've been losing my inspiration for this story. But I hope I can finish this before Christmas because I have a special story planned for you all.
