— Raditz —
"And once a Saiyan finishes Battle School, they have the option to start working in the Freeza Force early or attend Saiyan University."
"I-Is Saiyan University fun?" The little runt questioned nervously.
"Dunno, never been."
"Oh…"
"Alright, quiz time; what's the name of the form that allows us Saiyans to transform into giant monkeys?"
"U-Um…Oozaru?"
"Smart little runt." Raditz grinned, flipping through his notebook. "What was the name of the last Saiyan tribe King Vegeta I subjugated to complete his kingdom?"
"Y-You didn't teach me that one…"
"Wrong answer!" Raditz growled, and immediately, the runt started tearing up until he began full-blown crying. "There's no way something so small like a raised voice made you cry, what are you, a bitch?!"
"WAAAAHHHHHH!"
"Shut up! We're gonna review the formation of the Greatest Kingdom in all the cosmos; pay attention this time!"
"WAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"Stop it!"
Raditz's head snapped toward the voice, and his eyes locked onto the form of Kakarot…and the green man he met earlier.
"So you've finally come, Kakarot…took you long enough."
"Raditz, give me back my son!"
"Of course, we can all have some family bonding time while we return to Prince Vegeta."
"We aren't going anywhere!" Kakarot dropped into a stance; one Raditz had never seen before. The green man did the same.
So, this planet had its own fighting styles.
Interesting.
Prince Vegeta would definitely be interested in this planet after all. Now Raditz understood why Vegeta didn't want him to go out of his way to wipe everyone out.
This planet had its own value, and they would need to keep away from Freeza's clutches for as long as they could, but before that, Kakarot and his spawn would need to meet Vegeta.
"Then, come at me, Kakarot, Green Man!" Raditz outstretched his hands, and the two rushed him, immediately getting backhanded away by his superior strength. They crashed hard into the rock and skidded several meters before coming to a stop.
"What do you think of your Uncle Raditz, runt?"
"WAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"
"Oh shut the fuck up, runt, that was cool!"
Both of his challengers slowly rose to their feet, and Raditz crossed his arms over his chest, a devious smirk consuming his face.
He had some time to kill; it wasn't like Vegeta would care about a few minutes when the journey to him would take over a year.
Which means he could have some fun in the meantime.
— Goku —
As he stared down his self-proclaimed brother, he had to admit that this guy was strong.
Stronger than anyone he had ever faced, and that strength both angered and motivated him.
He shook his head; there was no time for enjoyment in this!
Goku's eyes caught his crying son sitting outside of Raditz's space pod, and a deep anger—nearly as intense as when Krillin died—began to surge within him. He removed his weighted shirt and boots and glared at the Saiyan ahead of him.
"Raditz…GIVE ME BACK MY SON!" He roared and rushed forward, only to be smacked in the face and sent flying.
Piccolo, who had also removed his weighted clothes, followed behind his attack and actually managed to get a hit on Raditz's chin.
Goku pushed himself off the ground and began rushing Raditz again. He managed to land a hard blow to the man's head, causing Raditz to take a step back.
"Piccolo, again!" Goku roared, trying to follow up their attack with another. But before Goku's fist could land, Raditz smiled and disappeared from their sight.
"...Where?!"
"Foolish little brother."
Goku tried to spin around but was kicked hard in the back, sending him skidding into the base of a distant mountain.
"ARGH!"
Goku forced himself out of the stone that had fallen on top of him, and he could hear the sounds of Piccolo getting destroyed.
He grit his teeth and stood before rushing toward the battle again.
They were outmatched; that much was true, but he was fighting for his son! He couldn't lose here!
— Raditz —
"GRAH!" Piccolo spat up blood as Raditz slammed his fist into his solar plexus. The green man dropped to the ground, clutching his stomach, and Raditz took a moment to look off into the distance, where he launched his little brother.
"Wow, I really sent him flying…What did you think of that, runt?"
"WAAAAAHHHHH!"
"Oh, you're not making this fun for me!" The large Saiyan frowned and started walking toward Gohan. "You really are a waste of a Saiyan, even if you do have a bright mind. Your annoying whining is really starting to piss me off!"
"WAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!"
"Okay! That's it!" Raditz stomped his foot hard, making a significant dent in the ground. He stopped in front of Gohan and picked him up before opening the door to his space pod and throwing him in. "Sit in here and watch! Maybe you won't be such a pansy if you watch your father get his weak ass handed to him!"
"WAAAA-"
The crying was abruptly cut off by Raditz slamming the door in Gohan's face.
The oldest son of Bardock let out a relieved sigh.
"Never in my life have I been so at peace than now."
"Raditz! Give me back my son!" Kakarot screamed as he ran forward as fast as he could.
Raditz grinned at his approaching little brother and outstretched his hands.
"Show me your Saiyan pride, Kakarot!"
"KAAAAAAAAA!"
Raditz's eyes narrowed as Kakarot's hands pulled back at his hip.
"MEEEEEEEE!"
"Do you have a surprise for me, Kakarot?!" Raditz laughed, rushing forward and kicking Goku away. The younger of the two flew away but managed to spin himself around midair and land on his feet.
"HAAAAAAAA!"
As if he wasn't launched back at all, he began his forward run again.
"MEEEEEEE!"
"Yes, Kakarot! That's what I like to see. Prince Vegeta will be ecstatic to see a Saiyan so willing to meet their end in the face of overwhelming power!"
Kakarot brought his hands in front of him and planted his bare feet into the ground; a brilliant blue ball of ki began to swirl in his hands as he glared hard at Raditz.
"HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
The blast rang loudly throughout the farmlands, and Raditz's eyes widened as he looked at the approaching blast getting closer.
It reminded him a lot of Prince Vegeta's Galick Gun but lacked the punch Saiyan royalty could produce.
Raditz placed his hands in front of him, and the blast slammed into his hands. To his surprise, he was actually getting pushed back a bit.
"...How?!" Raditz asked in confusion. He wasn't worried but surprised. This blast didn't pack nearly enough power to kill him, but the fact that Kakarot could even manage to push him back brought shock to his features.
"Piccolo, now!"
Raditz turned around to see the green man charging up a blast of his own. Yellow ki radiated out from both of his hands on his forehead.
"MASENKO!"
Raditz, seeing he was about to be pinned between the two blasts, jumped and took to the sky.
*BOOM*
A destructive explosion ensued, consuming their battleground and disintegrating anything that was caught in its light.
As the dust settled, Raditz grinned at Kakarot, who was forcing his tired, battered body as fast as he could toward his undamaged space pod.
To think a Saiyan as weak as him could manage such an…effective blast.
Raditz glared at the green man, and he had to admit, even he packed a severe punch behind his blast.
Was this the power of Earth? Did their training in various fighting styles really hold that much weight when it came to battle? Or was it something else?
Raditz raised his hand toward Goku, and a ki blast formed. Kakarot turned around toward him, sensing the blast, but it was too late. Raditz launched a blast, which hit his younger brother directly.
*BOOM*
As…informative as this fight was, it was time to end things and make his way back to Prince Vegeta.
"Haaaa!" The Green Man shouted in a battle cry, flying up to rush Raditz, but the experienced Saiyan warrior merely blocked his punch before slicing off his arm with a ki blade.
"GRAH-"
He couldn't even get to shout in pain; Raditz headbutted him down hard, making a crater in the Earth where he lay, unmoving.
"Are you done?" Raditz asked Kakarot as he walked over to his burnt and twitching body. "...Maybe I went too far. No matter, I'm sure you'll live."
Radtiz picked his brother off of the ground, slung him over his shoulder, and started his walk of victory back to his space pod.
Suddenly, he stopped walking and stared at his pod with a raised eyebrow. There was a higher power level within the pod now, but that…didn't make any sense.
The only one in there was Kakarot's spawn, so who was producing that much energy?
*BOOM*
His pod was destroyed from the inside, and Kakarot's child jumped out.
"...L-Leave my Daddy…Alone!"
The child jumped forward, head first, at a speed Raditz didn't expect from him. Within half a moment, the child was right in front of him. His head was impacted by his armor and cracked. The force of the hit made Raditz take a couple of steps back.
"How?!" Raditz shouted in surprise, looking at his damaged armor and then at the child who lay in front of him, unconscious. "How did you grow so much in so little time?!"
The sleeping child gave no answer, and Raditz was left alone to soak in his confusion.
"Ha!" Kakarot hopped off Raditz's shoulder and grabbed his arm. As Raditz went to hit him away with his other arm, Kakarot slipped behind him and trapped him in a full Nelson.
"W-What the hell are you doing?!"
"Piccolo, end this!"
Raditz sensed an energy growing stronger by the second and turned to see the green man standing just above the crater he had been knocked into. His one hand charged up a blast.
"You think something like this could take me out?! I'm a Saiyan Warrior born on Planet Vegeta and directly associated with Prince Vegeta; you're far from the toughest battle I've faced!"
"You… underestimated us, Raditz," Kakarot said through gritted teeth.
Raditz grunted and glared, trying his best to move from his trapped spot. "I didn't underestimate shit! You're all fucking weak!"
"Oh yeah? Why not escape then?" The green man laughed as his blast began radiating a dark aura around his body.
"Tch!" Radtiz tried his best, kicking his feet back and trying to take out Kakarot's legs, but with Kakarot's grip, he couldn't manage to hit him.
"I can't hold him…much longer. End this now, Piccolo!"
"Then to hell with you both! Special Beam Cannon!" The green man pointed his aura-coated fingers at both of them and seconds later, a drilling blast was on its way toward them.
Raditz glared at the blast, knowing that if his skin could only take so much abuse before, it would give way to that power. He poured as much of his ki as he could manage right into the broken part of his armor where his stomach was vulnerable. Then, he began to wag around even more, and as the blast hit the two, it struggled to pierce his skin.
"AH!" Pain coursed through his stomach. The blast pushed them back, and he could feel Kakarot's grip slipping. Now it was nothing more than a race to see which would give in first: Raditz's aura-coated skin or Kakarot's grip.
"Hold him still!" Piccolo shouted.
"I'm…trying!" Kakarot shouted back, his hands slipping increasingly against Raditz's powerful movements.
Raditz could feel the burn on his stomach getting deeper and deeper, knowing he had to do something fast. He placed his feet into the dirt and used all the force he could in his legs to turn their bodies.
"Wha-" Kakarot tried to speak but was cut off by the beam piercing his body.
Raditz jumped away as fast as he could, skidding against the ground and lying there.
Deep breaths escaped him as he forced himself to look over at the battle, and his heart froze at the sight.
Kakarot lying in a pool of his own blood, with a large hole in his stomach.
The green man stared at the downed Kakarot with shock, his body frozen.
Raditz clicked his tongue. His space pod had been destroyed, and now Kakarot had managed to kill himself!
The last Saiyan left on Earth pushed himself off the ground and took to the sky. He needed to recover…and without his scouter, he could not contact Vegeta.
Which means he was stuck on this godforsaken planet!
