hello again!
I'm going to be kind for once, and summarize the important bits of the story so far, so you don't have to read it all over again to get the details. That's what long series do when they get to so many episodes, right? Just fifteen pages to refresh your memory. Maybe you're a newcomer, and these recaps might entice you to read the whole volumes. I hope so.

VOLUME I
After a crazy robbery took place in the streets of Vale City, a young teenage girl called Ruby Rose was discovered by a legendary warrior known as Ozpin Kurtin, and was invited to train at Beacon Academy in order to become a Huntress, and fight against monsters called Grimm. She's accompanied by her older sister, Yang Xiaolong, and would eventually be forced to team up with two new companions, Weiss Schnee and Blake Faux, to conclude her next few years of training. Together, they formed team RWBY. Beside Ozpin, she would be mentored by other great warriors such as Glynda Goodwitch, Peter Port and Bartholomew Oobleck. Ruby would go on to meet and befriend the other three teams of her class, namely JNPR, CRDL and CFVY, as well as making good friends like Marrow Braun and Oscar Pine, who would all play their part in the story.
As a final trial awaiting the girls for the end of the first trimester, they would get involved with the crime underworld of the city. A legendary crook known as Roman Torchwick and his partner Neo Politan had stolen a prototype weapon that was sold to vale, called Dust Bullets. He intended to sell them to an organization known as the White Fang, but alas the girls unravel his scheme and manage to stop them.

VOLUME II
After an innocent Faunus man was murdered in Vale City, Blake led her friends in a quest to find out the truth about what happened, and also bring the culprits to justice. After the incident, a Faunus defense organization known as White Fang started to get a lot of popularity within the population, and were making deals and alliances to establish their roots within the city. However, one of its high-ranking members did not accept having the death of his kin being shrugged off so easily.
Meanwhile in the academy, our heroes would become acquainted with Sun Wukong, a foreign student from the faraway land of Haven. He actually came only to run away from responsibility, and in the process he fell in love with Blake. Eventually his teachers and classmates from Shade Academy would come to Vale in search of him, including Leo Lionheart, Corazan Hiromitsu and Aslan Altan. After testing the students of Vale through a contest, Leo thought it was best to organize a new Vytal Tournament during the Vytal Festival, which will happen at the start of next year.
In the end, team RWBY was able to find the killers who murdered that Faunus guy, known as Emerald and Mercury. They failed to defeat them, but ended up receiving the important clue. Apparently, the assassination was requested from the Fang itself, in some crazy plot that the girls didn't understand. Soon after that, they found themselves discovering the true colors of the White Fang once more. A disgruntled White Fang commander, named Bane Saw, had organized a terrorist attack in Vale City, wanting to take revenge for the death of his old friend Tuxson. Team RWBY and all their friends are capable of thwarting his plans and saving the city with one huge battle, ending with all the criminal Faunus getting arrested. In order to celebrate their awesome victory, our heroes get rewarded with an awesome party at the castle. As for the White Fang, they saw themselves forced to return to the shadows after massive backlash.

VOLUME III
After several months working far away from home, Ruby and Yang's uncle, Qrow Branwen, had returned to Vale City. His first order of business was to substitute Glynda as the combat teacher at Beacon, and he drove his new students through a crazy test in which they had to defeat him in battle, otherwise they would all be expelled. After all other teams fail, RWBY and her friends demonstrate how far they grew as friends and warriors by using a combined attack to put Qrow on his knees. They succeeded for now, but Qrow would be the least troublesome part of the next month.
After the incredibly fast creation of the world's first android army, the nation of Atlas was summoned by the council of Vale in order to discuss the dangers and regulations of what these new big advancements might lead to, as well as new trade opportunities. It would be a purely bureaucratic matter, however, the great general of the nation, James Ironwood, had a few other plans in mind. He wanted to make a special alliance with the Huntsmen guild of Vale, as he did not want the rest of the world to think of them as a war-mongering nation. However, with his arrival at Vale City, it seems another problem was created.
A strange ginger girl called Penny Polendina had escaped the nation of Atlas by stowing on Ironwood's flying ship. She was extremely valuable to them, which warranted our heroes to search for her in the city. Here Penny would go on to meet Ruby Rose, who became her first friend ever. Ruby suspected Atlas intentions, and went against her orders to ensure Penny's freedom. Eventually it all backfires once the android soldiers start looking for Penny, as she's forced to return to the castle and be confronted by Ironwood. He understands her fears about being abused by the scientists back in Atlas, and ultimately allows her to enjoy her time before they return home.
While this was happening, Weiss came to meet her older sister, Winter Schnee, who worked as Ironwood's Major Lieutenant. The two sisters had an ugly history dating back to their grandfather, Nikolas Schnee, who left both of them with the goal to carry out his legacy after his death. Though Winter chose to serve and defend her nation like their grandfather did, Weiss chose to abandon the whole family and seek out her destiny far away, which led to the destruction of their bond. Now the sisters set up a duel to settle their differences. Winter would go on to win and even try to brutalize Weiss, but she was then stopped and humbled by Qrow in battle. It seems that the broken bond of the sisters would take a while to heal, but it was possible.
After that, another story was happening in the background. Lie Ren and Nora Valkyrie from team JNPR had disappeared without a trace, leaving their teammates Jaune and Pyrrha to search for them. The two had traveled to their destroyed home village, which was ravished by a powerful abnormal Grimm years ago. Ren sought to kill the monster as revenge, but ended up losing the fight, even with the help of his team. Thankfully, Pyrrha had a trump card. For the first time she revealed her Semblance to them, which gave her the power to control all metals, from objects, structures, and even weapons. After their victory, she makes her friends promise to not reveal this fact to anyone, as this rare power could put her in the aim of bad people.
Lastly, our old villains were up to no good again. Roman and Neo were contacted by a mysterious lady in a red mantle, who wanted them to sneak into Ironwood's flying ship, and implant a special device that would make a copy of its whole programming. They would've easily gotten away with it, if it wasn't for the meddling team RWBY, along with Penny. Now that he fights for real, Roman is quite capable of defeating Weiss, Ruby and Blake all together, leaving Neo to take care of Yang. However, Penny reveals herself to also be a warrior, and turns out she's actually an android robot as well. She single handedly defeats Roman, but still gets injured, which allows him to escape. At the same time, Neo was stopped from finishing Yang by a strange lady in red armor and a mask, who appeared out of nowhere, and disappeared just as quickly. The criminal duo tried to flee, but they met with Glynda Goodwitch, who chased them to the ship's landing site on its top floor. Amazingly, that wasn't the end for them. The mysterious lady in a dark red mantle appeared again with a helicopter, and aided their escape. She was able to defeat Glynda with a single move, casting a massive fireball that broke her defenses. With that, the villains are gone.
Team RWBY would go on to feel outraged by their poor performance, and vowed to train harder than ever from now on, aiming to take the gold at the tournament in four months time. Ironwood, Winter and Penny would return to Atlas, but with the promise of partaking in the Vytal Festival as well, making Atlas join Vale and Haven for the first time in hundreds of years. As for Qrow, his time as a teacher ended, and so he left Vale again, chasing the woman in a dark red mantle.

VOLUME IV
The Vytal festival had begun, being set in Vale, but organized mostly by Atlas and their new technological wonders. We're introduced to a whole new squad of characters from Atlas, known as team PCFHR (Penny, Ciel, Fiona, Harriet and Robin), as well as returning friends from Haven, now with their final classmate, Jobi Shinrai. The next dozen battles would be an amazing showing of the growth of our heroes, as they have been training for a full year now. Of course, things wouldn't be joyful for most of them, as several inner problems poisoned the tournament. The girls of Atlas were expected to win at all costs or face harsh punishment by their nation. Pyrrha would grow doubts about becoming a Huntress. Ruby and Weiss were put against each other by their parents. Yang went on to accept her anger as a way to gain power faster. Everyone goes to push their limits, gain new powers, and we even learn quite a lot about the most minor characters we had so far. Of course, from the very beginning, an evil plot was brewing.
Sometime before the tournament, Blake was contacted by a mysterious person who foretold of a crisis that would happen during the tournament. Blake chose to keep her mouth shut about it, which clearly brought her great pain. At the same time, Roman and Neo were literally forced to work for the red mantle lady once more, and they had to infiltrate Ironwood's ship and do the exact same task from months ago, only now with less danger. And in the tournament itself, we see the return of the two assassins, Emerald and Mercury, who had the goal of making sure Penny Polendina reached the final of the tournament. Once the finals actually took place, all the pieces moved all at once.
The city was attacked by a legion of Grimm, and were allowed to enter the city with the help of the White Fang, who destroyed the gates. At the same time, Roman and Neo had unknowingly implanted a virus in Ironwood's ship that made all the androids turn violent. Suddenly an insane battle for survival began, forcing even guys like Ozpin and Leo to fight with all their power. Our heroes scatter through the city, each with their own mission. Team JNPR had to reach the castle and activate THE Beacon, which would save them all. Meanwhile, RWBY reached for the flying ship in order to turn off the androids. They met and fought with the criminal duo for the last time, being warned that someone else had orchestrated all of this. Roman even helps the girls to solve the problem, and sees this as a good time to fake his own death. RWBY now deactivated the android army, but it was a short-lived victory. Suddenly a dragon Grimm attacked the ship, sending it crashing below along with the girls. Thankfully, they survived.
After getting out, the girls are immediately surrounded by White Fang soldiers, who were there for Blake. Here they would meet the leader of this assault, a guy called Adam Taurus, who was Blake's former master. He goes on to reveal that Blake Faux was actually a spy for the White Fang all along, and that Faux is not even her real name. She had the job of passing information about the guild in all their operations, and even their hundreds of warriors. Basically, Blake has been betraying her friends all along, and it's all true. Blake feels utterly ashamed of herself, as she recognizes her classmates to all be good people, who don't deserve the wrath of the White Fang. Her last ditch effort was to help her three teammates escape, holding back Adam for them. Yang would flee with Ruby and Weiss, but once the heat cooled down, she decided to give into her rage and go back to save Blake at all costs, leaving her other two friends behind.
During these events, Leo and Ozpin would go on to have an exquisite interaction far away from the battle at the city. Since they were the strongest, they had to take down the dragon Grimm that showed up. However, there was also an even stronger foe piloting the beast. It was a darkened humanoid with several Grimm features, but still resembling human characteristics and personality. He proclaimed himself to be a high-ranking Grimm titled "Severus", and his name is Wrath. He was there specifically to fight and kill Ozpin, and so he takes him to the top of Vale mountain to fight, allowing Leo to take on the dragon. Their battle would go on to be the most deadly and destructive in the series so far.
Meanwhile, after a great struggle, Jaune and Pyrrha finally reach the castle and activate the Beacon. And so, a special defense plan automatically begins, as the main tower of the castle suddenly reveals a blue relic, from which the blue glow was able to be perceived by everyone. Every Grimm still alive suddenly went towards the castle in an attempt to take it, but the castle of Beacon had automated defenses that mowed down every single one of them, which pretty much saved the day. However, it wasn't the end.
Finally, the lady in a red mantle reveals herself. Cinder Fall. She's able to invade the castle alone, blasting everything in her way with absurdly-strong fire powers. Her main goal was also the blue relic, but once Jaune and Pyrrha realized that, they decided to take the relic away and run. Cinder gave chase, and ended up mortally wounding Jaune. Here Pyrrha made a tough choice. She said her last goodbye to Jaune and tossed him out of the mountain, wanting to fight this woman alone to save him. Now two extremely powerful Semblances battle, and they destroy the castle in the process.
Back to Blake, she ended up losing her battle against Adam, and was taken unconscious in order to return to the White Fang's secret base. Yang came back just in time, and fought Adam to protect her. She put Blake in Sun's care and told him to run away, driving Adam mad. He went on to destroy Yang in battle, giving her many scars. She was only left alive due to the intervention of Marrow Braun, who gave up his life to protect her from Adam's killing blow. Yang ended up critically injured, and passed out right beside her fallen childhood mentor. Adam left them behind to die, and decided to abandon the mission of killing the injured Huntsmen after the battle. However, it didn't end like this for Yang. Suddenly the lady in red armor appeared again, and this time she took Yang with her through a magic portal. That's the last anyone saw of her.
And alas, the conclusion. Ruby and Weiss had woken up, and saw Jaune fall from the castle plateau. He warned them of Pyrrha's battle, and begged Ruby to save her. She and Weiss quickly climb the mountain and fight their way into the castle, only to meet Cinder face to face. Their battle was hopeless as all hell, with Pyrrha, Ruby and Weiss ending up overwhelmed. Now Cinder has the relic and the girls at her mercy, and spares Ruby simply because she knew who her mom was. Just then, everyone else started showing up. Leo and Ozpin were able to win their battles and arrive just in time, followed by Qrow, Glynda and Ironwood. They manage to get the relic back, but Cinder has two hostages.
Ultimately, Ozpin decides to give her the relic of knowledge in exchange for Ruby's life. Unfortunately, Cinder would not be so kind to Pyrrha, as she had promised to take her back to where she belongs. Cinder flies away in her personal pet Grimm, the manticore, and so finally ends the crisis. Back in the city, all our heroes are absolutely messed up from the long battle, and now Sun realized that Blake disappeared from his watch.
Ruby would only wake up a week later, after finally recovering from her beatdown. The city was utterly destroyed, her friends were sent away on missions, and her team was split apart. Blake is gone, Weiss was taken away by her father and sister, and Yang is presumed dead. To finish the icing on this shit cake, Ruby learns from Ozpin that Cinder Fall was the person who killed her mom, Summer Rose.

VOLUME V
After the attack, Vale City started the recovery process right away. Ruby was without a team, so she focused solely on helping rebuild the city with her skills and powers. Her sole remaining friend is Oscar, and her two father figures are either gone or too sad to talk. Above all else, Ruby wants the chance to get bloody revenge on Cinder. She would get her chance a month later, once Qrow returned to the city. He has been too ashamed of himself to talk with Ruby, and merely went on business to hunt Cinder down. He had no luck finding her, but it turns out that Jaune and his team went on a quest for Cinder long ago, and have a tip to where she is. Qrow now has a precise place to search, and so he will depart immediately.
Of course, Ruby finds out about his plan and decides to force her way into his mission. Qrow regretfully decides to accept her, and so they leave Vale City together. They travel for a couple of days until arriving in the extreme north of the nation, as they need to go into the Forbidden North to reach the marked location. Their final stop was a small mining village at the border, but it turns out the place was destroyed. They can't figure out what happened, because they ended up being attacked soon after. An old friend wanted to see Qrow, and his name is Tyrian Callows. They fought ferociously, but Ruby insisted on getting involved, and that resulted in Qrow getting poisoned by Tyrian. The enemy flees, but now Qrow is paralyzed and unconscious. Ruby took the decision to carry his body on her back to continue the mission, fueled by her desire to find and kill Cinder.
Her plans didn't go well. Without Qrow's experienced guidance, she enters an extreme snow condition at the mountain range, and gets trapped in a snowstorm. Worst of all, powerful Grimm started to chase them. The two eventually get hit by an avalanche and are left at death's door. Qrow got his body functions back, just in time to drag them into an ancient cabin at the edge of the mountain.
Now the two have absolutely nothing to do but talk, and Qrow has become quite the asshole as he sobered up. Ruby ends up venting all her frustrations to him, and lets it slip that Ozpin told her the truth about her mom. Qrow crashes out in rage, but soon starts to emotionally break. He goes on to reveal the many ways he failed both Ruby and Summer, explaining that it was her mother's wish that Ruby DIDN'T become a warrior no matter what. Showing weakness for the first time, Ruby finally understands how miserable Qrow was all along. He has endured a lot of pain and sadness for the sake of her happiness, and she never cared to realize until now. It all comes down to a huge hug, as both now have a greater understanding of each other, and promise to be better for the sake of the other. Ruby's vengeful heart died down, and Qrow's regretful heart was finally cleansed after years of loneliness. This concludes Ruby's 1/4 of the story.
…
Weiss was taken back home with all the other Atlisian people, as the sudden turn of the android army has made the rulers of Vale quite furious. Atlas was preparing for war any second now, as the rest of the world believed that they joined the Grimm in an attempt to destroy Vale. Weiss was caught in the middle of all this, and has returned to her mansion by force. She has been miserable for weeks now, being taken away from her new beloved family from Beacon, and forced to go back to an empty mansion. Her sister is off duty, her mom is still an alcoholic mess that is never at home anymore, her father is a self-serving prick, and her little brother is overly cold. In an attempt to cheer up Weiss's mood, her father, Jacques, forces her to join a gala party at the Atlas City theater.
His plan didn't work quite right. Weiss was doing somewhat okay, but then she started to get herself drunk in order to ease the pain. It all culminated into her raging out against the other assholes from the Atlas elite, and accidentally using her powers to cause a commotion. She was taken back to the mansion, where she argued harshly with her father. In the end he slapped her in the face, and ended up giving Weiss what she wanted. He disowned her, giving her the freedom to leave forever and not come back.
The night still had many surprises though. Weiss planned to leave at midnight, but something happened at the same time. A strange android robot had infiltrated the mansion, broke inside, and made an attempt to kill Weiss's dad. She was able to stop it before giving the finishing blow, and so she fought the robot to defend him. The alarms ring out, the police are on their way, and suddenly this android enemy decides to flee. Weiss tried to resuscitate Jacques, but her presence at the crime scene with a bloody dress made her look like the culprit. She had no option but to run.
She fled into Atlas City, evading the law in an attempt to escape the nation. She had to reach Mantle first of all, as it was the only way to leave. She tries to disguise herself, but on the way she met with the android assassin once more, and this time it wanted to kill her specifically, not leaving any witnesses to its existence. The more she fought it, it became clear that this might not actually be a robot, but actually a person completely covered in armor. Weiss was able to shake off her pursuers by jumping on top of the underground train that led to Mantle, but she ended up wounded.
Now at Mantle, Weiss aimlessly walked through the poor streets full of pollution. Eventually she was spotted by an old lady in blue, who took her back home and offered a place to stay. She was a blind old lady, called Maria Blue. She was someone who knew Weiss's grandfather, Nikolas, and believed in her innocence despite all the news about her. For the next couple of weeks, Weiss would be living in Mantle while waiting for her heat to cool off, and also make money to buy her way out of the nation. It would all go according to plan, if it wasn't for a sudden crisis.
Suddenly, Maria told Weiss to go into the mines of Mantle, as something really bad would happen there. On the way, Weiss gets harassed by team PCFHR, but their fight doesn't end as expected. Their focus shifts to the mines, as some kind of emergency was happening on the inside. The main support pillar that held the caverns together was destroyed somehow, and it would all fall apart in due time. Weiss and PCFHR rush to save everyone and fix the pillar. They are successful, but Weiss' shitty day was far from over. Winter had finally arrived, and she wanted to make Weiss pay for almost killing their father. Winter destroys Weiss yet again, but Weiss is able to pull one last trick to save herself. With her Semblance, she was able to summon her dearest memory of their grandfather as a living sculpture, which basically revives him for a brief moment. His wise words were enough to convince the sisters to stop fighting, and even melted Winter's hateful heart.
Of course, it's still not over. The android assassin appears once again, and it turns out that it was responsible for the main pillar collapsing, in an attempt to draw out Weiss. The android proceeds to clean the floor with Winter using its bizarre abilities, and soon both sisters are about to be killed. But then, out of nowhere, they end up being saved by Maria. She wasn't actually a frail old lady, it was all a play to hide her true self as Maria Calavera, a legendary Huntress who went missing decades ago. She had the power to see the future, and she single handedly wipes the floor with the android assassin. In the end she even manages to slice off its helmet, revealing the warrior to actually be a familiar girl with red short hair and green eyes. It's none other than Pyrrha. With that, android Pyrrha runs away, and Maria finishes up saving the lives of the Schnee sisters.
Weiss was taken to the hospital to be treated. All throughout her journey, her little brother Whitley has been fighting to prove her innocence, and he succeeded. Weiss was now free to go, and so she set out to help Ruby in the forbidden north. This ends her part of the story too.
…
Blake, or rather, Blake Belladona, as it is her real name, was currently roaming the seas. After the invasion, she remained in the shadows and fled the city when the chance came, stowing away in a ship that goes to the south island below Vale. She decided to abandon both her friends and the White Fang, as she believes to have betrayed both of them too much to be forgiven. She realizes the error of her ways, and comes to the conclusion that the humans are not all bad, and that the White Fang has been lying to her.
Somewhere at the end of her travels, she realizes Sun Wukong had followed her into the ship. She comes clean about her past to him, and to her surprise, Sun chooses to stick with her regardless. She was looking absolutely devastated already, so making her lonely would be her final straw. It's what her other friends would've wanted him to do.
The ship's destination was the island of Menagerie, a paradise beach city that is reserved only for Faunus people. After losing their homes in Vale, this is the only place that some refugees could go to. With the rest of her life behind her, Blake could only go back to her parents house. She had previously abandoned them to join the White Fang, so she expects them to still hate her. The least she could do now is try to apologize. They arrive at the chief's mansion, and to Blake's utmost surprise, her parents, Ghira and Kali, embrace her back without a second thought. After all these years apart, the only thing they care about is that Blake came back to them.
Later they would have some tea while Blake explained everything that has happened since she left home, most importantly, what happened in Vale, and how the White Fang was involved with it. Soon after that, Ghira was summoned to deal with the situation involving the refugees. The Faunus residents of the island were protesting against the humans that just arrived. Apparently, humans in Menagerie are a big no no. Ghira is able to calm the masses, but soon two other important figures arrive at the scene. The White Fang representative, Fennec, and his advisor, Corsac. They try to intimidate Ghira and force him to kick the humans out, but now Ghira is fully aware of what the White Fang has been doing without his knowledge. His first order of business is kicking out the entire Fang from the island, and so it was. Corsac and Fennec took all their ships and sympathizers with them, already preparing a scheme to come back and throw Ghira out of power.
With that, things went back to a strange normality. Sun remained on the island and started training immediately, until eventually Blake felt compelled to join him. With the Fang gone, suddenly the town needed a lot more help from the public force than usual, and so Ghira decided to enroll Blake and Sun into the guard of Menagerie. Weeks have passed, and over this time Blake was able to observe dozens of little inconveniences happening on purpose. She figured that there are still White Fang sympathizers on the island, and they are using their influence to make Ghira's leadership seem bad. The White Fang was going to try claiming the island back.
She was quite right. Practically at the same time this was happening, Corsac and Fennec were having a meeting with the queen of the White Fang, Sienna Kahn, in order to figure out what to do. Killing Ghira is out of the question, as the people of the island still love him, and they have to continue using his image for their fake cause. They figured that kidnapping Kali was a sure way to make Ghira listen to them, and after that, they just have to deal with Blake. Once that point was brought up, a certain someone appeared in the room. Ilia Amitola, a member of the elite squad, claimed she could easily bring Blake back to their side, and begged the queen to let her join the mission. Sienna allowed her plea, and so they set sail to Menagerie again.
Ilia would go on to meet Blake in a secret place within the jungle of the island, a place that they built in their childhood as best friends. Ilia tried to bring her to the White Fang again, but now Blake sets her foot down and states that she believes in hope for Faunus AND humanity together, without the need for violence to determine their place. Ilia feels absolutely outraged and attacks Blake, thinking she betrayed her. Sun suddenly comes out to defend, and so Ilia flees. The night was just beginning, and soon after that encounter, the rest of the White Fang made their move. Their plan was to set destruction within the city, making Ghira jump into action and leaving Kali unprotected. It didn't go as planned. They set fire on the refugee building, but the one who came was Blake. Sun and Ghira stood at the mansion, where they fought dozens of soldiers, as well as Corsac and Fennec. Ilia tried to get the drop on them, but Blake intervened, and so the Belladona family was able to survive the attack after a long battle. Ilia breaks down emotionally after being confronted by Blake again, and runs away, making the Fang think she's dead.
The very next morning, Ghira made a huge public speech explaining to the population of the island what happened, why did the White Fang became evil, and why they can't support them anymore. It managed to convince everyone, and ensured his position as chief of the island. As for Blake, she has finally realized what she must do. She abandoned her friends due to fear, and she won't be able to live while haunted by that guilt. The only way forward is to repent for what she did, and that starts by helping her friends come back alive. And so, Blake says her farewell to her parents, gives Sun a little kiss, and so she rides off into the sea. Her part is also done.
…
Yang woke up in a strange place, having almost recovered from her grievous wounds. The person who wakes her up is the same lady who kidnapped her, with the red armor and black hair. Yang tries to fight her way out, but fails. Suddenly it came to her attention that this woman right in front of her was actually her birth mother, Raven Branwen.
She welcomed Yang into the Branwen tribe, a gang of renegades who hide in the forbidden north, and use their super powers for whatever they want. Yang goes on to meet the several silly characters in this silly group, but one person in particular grabbed her attention. There was a younger girl along the tribe of tall burly men, and that's Vernal Branwen, Raven's adopted daughter. Raven basically gave Yang for Vernal to take care of, and left the two sisters to hang around. Vernal at first hated Yang for being an outsider, but Yang's friendly nature was able to warm her up fast. Of course, Yang couldn't just waste time camping with these weirdos, she had to check on her real family. She begged Raven to help her get back to Vale City, but Raven refused. In the end they made a deal. Yang would stay with them for three weeks, and then Raven would gladly take her back. Without any knowledge on how to get home otherwise, she agrees with the terms.
For the following three weeks, Yang got ever close with her mom, the tribe members, and especially Vernal. The little girl surely had a lot of issues to work through, and Yang was more motherly to her than Raven ever was. It didn't take long for Vernal to really love Yang like an older sister, and seek out her example of life instead of Raven. Of course, their friendship was bound to end, as Yang had to return home. Unfortunately, Yang's trip back would have to wait. The tribe had received news that one of their top dogs had been captured, and if they didn't rescue him, it would be the end for them. Yang saw herself forced to help.
The person they were rescuing was Shay, and he had been taken hostage by two powerful Huntsmen in a mining town at the north edge of Vale. They succeed in saving him, but the violence and dirtiness of the tribe's plan makes Yang rebel against orders, and she gets injured in an attempt to save the village from the harm the Branwen were causing. Here Vernal also disobeys the rules, unleashing her powerful Semblance to control wind, and saving Yang's life from a pack of strong Grimm.
Upon returning to the camp, Yang becomes utterly disillusioned with her mother, and they have a fight. Yang decides to leave the camp forever and take Vernal with her, but that was the final straw for Raven too. She beat up Yang and kept her as a prisoner in a cave for many days. She would only be rescued with the arrival of Qrow and Ruby, who gave up the mission to find Cinder, and went after Yang instead. Qrow was able to defeat all the members of the tribe, but Raven was still much stronger than him. He and Ruby had to run with Yang, but Raven pursued them. It all culminated into a situation where Yang had to sacrifice her last strengths to save them, choosing her real family instead of her mother. In her outrage, Raven ends up fatally scarring her own daughter, cutting Yang's long hair, and leaving her, Ruby and Qrow alive by a thread. Once Vernal arrives, Raven lies to her, saying that Yang was killed by the outsiders.
Yang would wake up days later, alive, but now with short hair. Her angry and murderous bipolar counterpart was gone, and all that reigns in her mind now is love for her family and friends. With that, Yang's story also concludes.
…
However, the real meat happens upon their return to Vale City. They were tracking right through Anima as they passed, which was supposedly the place Cinder had gone to. All this time, Cinder was searching for a specific place in which she could use the blue relic to awaken a temple, and she had succeeded right as the trio were passing by. They were alarmed by the temple suddenly rising from the land, and came to meet Cinder on their way to it. Cinder had a powerful small army on her side, but Qrow, Ruby and Yang wouldn't be alone for long. Weiss and Blake arrived just in time as well, leading to a sweet reunion between the girls, and a final battle to stop Cinder. However, it was still not the time to see it through. The volume ends with the sudden arrival of Ozpin, who came specifically to bring Ruby back, and take care of Cinder for them.

VOLUME VI
Taking a step back to one month ago, we follow Jaune, Ren and Nora as they go on a near suicidal mission to rescue their teammate, Pyrrha. Their search led them to Shay from the Branwen tribe, who was present during the negotiation when Cinder sold off Pyrrha. They attempt to subdue him so then Ren can use his Semblance and peer into Shay's mind, but in the battle Ren ends up fatally wounded. It's only thanks to Jaune suddenly evolving his Semblance that he's able to save Ren's life. Following that, Ren is able to probe Shay's mind, and learn that the bastard had used his powers to shatter Pyrrha's soul, which made her forget her past and become a subservient vegetable. They also discover the face and location of the man who took Pyrrha, and go off on a long journey to Atlas, leaving Shay at the mining town we saw in the previous volume.
Once arriving in Atlas, the three were forced to join the military under the threat of imprisonment, and were under direct orders of commander Cordovin of the Atlas army of Argus. They were locked in the city for a long time, and things only got moving again once Weiss first began being reported for the assassination attempt on her father. Team JNR was forced to keep a search for her, but during their shift, they ended up stopping a tragedy from happening on board a train between the cities. They were hailed as heroes, rose the ranks, and soon were invited to a gala party in which they met again with the person who kidnapped Pyrrha, Arthur Watts.
Now that the enemy was within their reach, Ren launches a solo spy mission to infiltrate Watts' hideout and discover his plans. He discovered that Watts had brainwashed Pyrrha into being his personal assassin. His ultimate goal was to become the ruler of Atlas by killing all his opposing candidates before the election, using Pyrrha to do his dirty work. Her next target was James Ironwood.
After that, Ironwood had arrived in Argus, and a big chase for the android assassin began. Team JNR are able to find Pyrrha and save the general's life, but sadly Pyrrha barely recognizes them. The only thing that could possibly bring Pyrrha back was fixing her soul, and through the combined powers of Ren and Jaune, it was actually possible. The day was saved, and team JNPR were back together.
The following days, Ironwood personally thanked them for the efforts, and discharged them from the Atlas army. As a parting gift, he presented Jaune with his own jet plane, so he could go help Ruby as soon as possible.
…
Meanwhile, something was happening in Vale City. With the nation weakened from the attack, the criminal masterminds of the nation of Haven, the Malachite Yakuza, decided to set their roots while the city was rebuilding. Their first order of business was to take down Roman and Neo for being well recognized within the city, as a statement of the Yakuza's strength. They take out Roman's friend, Junior, and while he's busy, they also infiltrate his secret hideout and kidnap Neo. Now Roman had the choice to either serve the Malachites forever, or die fighting. He chose to fight, and was immediately attacked by the Malachite's top assassins, the malachite twins. He's able to survive and escape with the help of Oscar Pine, who just happened to be passing by when Roman needed a ride.
Days have passed, and the Malachites had made quite a good amount of progress with taking over the ruined city from the shadows. So much so that they all decided to come to Vale City and manage the operations themselves, all the while hiding in a secret underground casino in the red light district of Vale city. It proved to be a huge mistake, as Roman had already recruited Emerald and Mercury to fight by his side with a load of cash. They infiltrate the casino, rescue Neo, and together they kill off all of Miss Malachite's children, including the twins. Now it was time for the old hag herself, but she proved to be quite strong. It took the awakening of Roman's semblance in order to defeat her. Just like that, the newly-formed team RMNE had done an awful lot of good to the world in a single night. Still, with the city destroyed, they have no option but to flee to the other capital of Vale, Planice, with the help of Oscar again no less. That concludes the small story.
…
At the same time, another short story was also happening in the wild. Teams CRDL and CFVY were sent to the wildlands to form a long range scouting formation to protect the territory, despite still being scarred and wounded from the battles they faced. Team CFVY was unlucky to intercept a strong pack of Grimm that were trying to escape the nation. They thought they would face just a bunch of monsters, but were met by a much powerful new enemy. The pack was escorting the Severus Wrath back to the forbidden north, after he was left severely crippled from his fight with Ozpin. Still, the humanoid Grimm still had plenty of strength to defeat team CFVY, forcing CRDL to come to the rescue. It was a long and arduous battle, but thanks to their combined efforts, and the awakening of Cardin's Semblance, they were able to kill Wrath and survive the fight. As a final bonus, Wrath's last words hint at the fact that the true enemy of humanity isn't him or Cinder, but rather another woman named Salem.
…
Finally back at Anima, team RWBY, Qrow and Ozpin were up to stop Cinder from entering the temple. Ozpin fought her alone while the rest targeted her pet manticore. Ozpin is so overwhelmingly more powerful that Cinder's fire powers couldn't offer much resistance. She knew there was only one motherfucker in the whole world who could take him down, and so she called Ozpin's former teammate, Hazel Reiner. Cinder managed to uncover their troubled past, and persuaded Hazel to fight by revealing that Ozpin killed his daughter while she trained at Beacon. Ozpin does not object to the claim, and welcomes Hazel to set his revenge through battle.
Ozpin was powerful due to his Semblance, which could win a battle against any creature by causing them an insane level of pain. However, Hazel was completely immune due to his own Semblance. He was able to thoroughly beat Ozpin until he was crippled, and by then team RWBY had already left Qrow behind to fight the manticore. The girls arrive and desperately try to save Ozpin, but Hazel was on a whole other level compared to them. He would've killed all of them, but before he could get his hands on Ruby, suddenly Jaune and the rest of his team arrive to save them.
They fight Hazel for a while, but eventually the whole situation becomes a matter of learning the truth of what happened ten years ago, when Hazel's daughter died. Ren uses his mind powers to enter Ozpin's mind, and so everyone is able to see what happened. On that fateful day, Hazel's daughter, Olivia, had awakened her Semblance power for the first time. However, the magic ability proved to be uncontrollable and dangerous. Her mere presence was hurting people and destroying any life she touches. Ozpin tried to save her, but it was to no avail, and she was going to kill him too. Olivia saw that the only way to stop the power and save everyone else was to end her own life.
Now back at the present, having learned the truth, Hazel simply lost all will to fight. He came to blame himself for the death of his daughter, as it was him who had forced her to become a warrior in the first place. He had no one else to blame. And so, without another word, Hazel leaves the battlefield, and disappears for the time being.
Jaune is able to heal all the wounded, and together they rush inside the awakened temple. There they learn of the past through ancient scriptures from hundreds of years ago, mainly about the existence of two brothers, gods of light and darkness, who traveled together to the moon and fought one another until it shattered. After their disappearance, the creatures of Grimm attacked humanity, and so the temple was sealed to keep its special relic safe.
Cinder had already arrived at the safe fault at the bottom of the temple, and was uncovering said relic. The relic of knowledge, the one which she stole from Beacon, was never the one she actually wanted. She just needed it in order to discover where this one was, and open the passage to it. Her true goal was the Relic of Order, a crown with the power to control the minds and bodies of all mortals. Team JNPR was left behind to take care of the temple's defenses, while RWBY and Ozpin went after Cinder. Ozpin wasn't given a chance to fight this time, as Cinder used the crown and forced him to kneel before her. Weiss, Yang and Blake were also forced to obey her orders, but thankfully not Ruby.
TURNS OUT, Ruby's silver eyes weren't just a simple family trait, but also a sign of her prized ancestry. Before the god of darkness vanished, he had created a special breed of people who were immune to the magic of the light god, including the relics that the light god created. Thus, Ruby is not bound by the crown's power, and can fight Cinder alone. She's able to save their lives at the nick of time, but Cinder is still way above her in every way. The least Ruby could do was take off the crown from her head, which frees the others. Ozpin at that moment takes a big hit for Ruby, taking him out of the fight, and forcing team RWBY to fight Cinder together.
With all their powers combined in such a stressful and important situation, the girls rose to the occasion and used all the skills they developed on their adventures. The whole temple was going down due to the many fights happening at once, and so they had to defeat Cinder and get out as soon as possible. Cinder was so focused on getting the crown that it eventually led to her downfall. In one final finishing move, Weiss is able to slash out her eye while Ruby sliced off her arm. Cinder and the crown relic are left behind as the temple vault collapses, and all our heroes manage to get out alive, along with the stolen relic of knowledge. Everything went boom, and so the crisis finally came to a close.
Everyone returns home with everything they set out to do, and also a bunch of new things to aim towards. After a few days, it was time for all the students of Beacon to gather up and learn about the vital lore that Ozpin has been keeping to himself. Together, they are able to figure out some of the plot.
Basically, Cinder was a student of Beacon more than twenty years ago, and back then she tried the exact same shit of stealing the Relic. Ozpin had first met her two years prior, when he and the other members of his legendary team, Maria Calavera, Hazel Reiner and Leo Lionheart, all made an attempt to infiltrate Vacuo, which is the land of the Grimm that resides in the forbidden north. Maria was also a descendant of the clan of silver eyes like Ruby, and she was the only person who could see through the natural wall of darkness that surrounds the land of Vacuo. However, not more than three hours later, they came out of there completely defeated, with Maria being blinded, all of that done by a single Severus called "Hunger". Cinder was actually the one who saved them from inside Vacuo, and Ozpin later took her as a pupil, believing that she, thanks to her silver eyes, was the only person who could carry out the mission to infiltrate Vacuo in the future. As a matter of fact, he invited Ruby to train for the exact same reason. All that Ozpin cares about is that Grimm is defeated, and as long as the people of the silver eyes survive, there's hope that they can win.
However, those weren't the only findings. After team CRDL and CFVY fought Wrath, they learned of the existence of Salem, who was above Cinder, the Severus, and pretty much is the ultimate enemy they have to beat. They can't share this knowledge with anyone, as she clearly wants to stay in the shadows for a reason, and would probably do something drastic if everyone learned of her existence.
With their meeting done, it was time for the final icing on the cake. After the whole year of absolutely bonkers crap these kids have survived, Ozpin decided to graduate them right now as A-rank Huntsmen, the highest possible rank for a squad no less. With that, the first half of RWBY was over.

VOLUME VII
This volume takes us more than twenty years in the past, focusing on Summer Rose and her journey through a short-lived life. We start at her first academy days, where she met the twins Qrow and Raven, as well as Tai, who would all become her teammates for the next several years. Summer had to mature quite a lot in order to endure the insane characteristics of each of them, but alas they grew to respect one another, and even develop a lot of romantic feelings into the mix. Of course, their academy years wouldn't be so simple. After some time, Summer came into contact with Cinder, who was kept secret in the castle. Their simple similarities and their shared silver eyes led Summer to believe they were deeply related, and she was excited by the prospect of having any kind of family left, since she has no one else anymore. They formed a strong bond, but it was always tainted by Cinder's secret ambitions. She had a goal to fulfill in that castle, and her time is up.
Cinder went on to orchestrate a scenario in which all the warriors of the city would be occupied, leaving her free to infiltrate the castle dungeons and steal the relic of knowledge from Beacon. However, she messed up her own plan, out of the desire to involve Summer with it, and even tried to convince Summer to join her at her home in Vacuo. Summer refuses, a big fight happens, and ultimately Cinder is forced to leave without anything to show, and a broken heart for having to abandon all the people she grew to call friends.
Summer would go on to live the next several years as a warrior, eventually seeing many of her friends be killed by monsters through time. Eventually the worst came, when it happened within her own team. After one night of accidental baby making, Raven would eventually give birth to her and Tai's daughter, Yang. However, some kind psychological breakdown made Raven awaken her old self. She suddenly became adamant to pursue her original goal of being leader of a powerful tribe in the wildlands, and attempted to take Yang with her. Her teammates thwart her plan, and so she abandons them empty handed, trusting that they will take care of Yang for her. Her sudden disappearance would leave team STRQ incredibly depressed, and it's during this time that Summer became extremely afraid of the future, and forced Qrow to make his many promises to ensure that they will be together forever. A year later, these two would do some offscreen consummating as well, and Ruby would be born.
Summer would spend the next seven years being a mom, but without knowing, her time was up. Summer ended up infected with a disease that targeted her heart, which is the same disease that killed her father. She had just a few weeks left to live, so she chose to spend her time with her daughters, while Qrow and Tai did everything they could in order to find a cure. However, Summer's supposed salvation came from the least likely person. Cinder had returned after decades, with the sole purpose of bringing Summer to Vacuo, so she can be healed. Summer is so afraid of dying that this time she accepts going with Cinder, saying her final goodbyes to Ruby and Yang, and leaving before Tai and Qrow get home. After that, a big chase for Summer began.
Tai and Qrow moved towards the north, following the trail of Summer's scroll phone. All the while, Cinder was telling Summer about the unknown past of Remnant, and all the history that was washed away with the first invasion of Grimm. The world was full of brutal wars between the kingdoms in search of power, with the ruling empire being the one who obtained the many relics. They subjugated their opponents with brutality and slavery, and it was only thanks to the arrival of Grimm that balance was restored. The evil empire was destroyed, the smaller nations found relative peace and prosperity, and it was all thanks to Cinder's godmother, Salem, who created the Grimm. She had many powers, one of them being capable of saving Summer's life. However, it came to Summer's attention that the only way for her to live is by partially becoming a Grimm. Suddenly, death didn't sound so bad.
Just then, Qrow and Tai were able to catch up with them. A big fight breaks out, and suddenly Raven teleports in, wanting to help in the rescue despite their differences. Finally they engage Cinder as a team once again, but she had gotten hundreds of times stronger in the last ten years, and not even Raven could match up. Qrow had to step in and fight, but he was left in a bad spot, and was about to be killed.
After all that, Summer was able to fight death and buy one more minute to live. With all her soul focused on the singular objective of saving Qrow, she's able to awaken a strange and powerful new ability. Time froze, and she was able to say her last goodbyes to each of her friends while inside their own minds. Once time started moving again, they realized that Summer had magically teleported in front of Qrow, protecting him from Cinder's killing strike. She was already gone.
With Summer dead, Cinder goes nuts and uses her fire powers to blow the entire land to a crisp like a nuke. Raven was able to save Tai and Qrow by teleporting them out of there. Once the dust from the explosions settle down, Cinder has an emotional breakdown over Summer's corpse. Cinder's past left her with a big scar and a tremendous hate upon humanity, but everything changed after she met Summer. She had given Cinder a new goal in life. Serving Salem wasn't enough, she had to change the world. She had to unite the nations and make a world ruled by perfection, without suffering, bias or injustice. That became her ultimate goal, and to ensure that, she would eventually go after the crown, which kicks off the plot of the whole story.
…
Getting a final glimpse into the present, we realize that Cinder did not die at the end of the last volume. She lost an arm and an eye, but with Salem's magic, she got new body parts made of Grimm flesh. And most important of all, the crown was still in her grasp. Finally, Cinder can create the perfect world, and rule it as the empress. However, her dream was slightly shaped by the recent happenings. She no longer believes it's possible to change the world, as there will always be those who will fight tooth and nail to put themselves above her. They will never accept the gift of a perfect world. She will have to create a new one from the bottom up, and first of all, the world as it is needs to vanish. With this declaration of doom, the volume ends. And so, that's the whole story of RWBY RE:colored so far.

MOVIES & FLUFF
Since this is actually a hypothetical new revamp for Rwby, naturally we would have made quite a lot of money from it by now, and top word from Warner Bros. would be about making a Rwby movie or two. And well, I don't plan any side content to be canon, either games or movies, but I still planned ahead somewhat. As a matter of fact, the true reason as to why there's only three Ancestral Semblance wielders in the story, is because I want movie villains to be the others. Meaning, the filler antagonists would wield powers like earth, water, wood, etc. They would be generic villains in nature, and personally I don't have an actual plot for any movie. Anime movies usually have two ways of going about it: Number one, the Dragon Ball route: they copy an arc idea from the og show, switch the og characters with new ones, and make it fit one hour and thirty minutes. Number two, the Naruto route: they make a whole new story that goes absolutely bonkers and doesn't respect the source material whatsoever. For Rwby, honestly I prefer route two.
As for crossovers, I don't think WB can give us access to any franchises that really fit Rwby's vibe. A Bleach or Demon Slayer crossover movie would be ideal I think. And what about a beach episode? Personally what I would do is set up a "Kickstarter" with an one million dollar goal, and if it gets funded, we make the damn beach OVA. Let's use the average fanservice enjoyer to our utmost financial advantage. There's only one request I would like to make from the matter of plot for any of these, be it games or movies. Since the story is told from Ruby's perspective, it would be funny that the movies all end with Ruby losing her memories through a random way, which is a funny way to never bring up the plot of the movies again. And about time periods, we can have a movie during their academy years in between Volume I and III, or between the time skip of Volume VI and VIII. Aside from that we can have a movie after the series ends, but I'll talk about it when I get there.
Anyway, if you have read RWBY RE:colored so far, I would like to thank you. I didn't expect to get to 1000 views on both sites I posted this, as it is an insanely long story for a genre that focuses on short horny stories. I'll post the much awaited volume VIII in the following week, and it will be split in two parts due to its insane length. Alright, bye bye.
