I reluctantly pulled my sneakers and training outfit on. There was no sign of Azriel or Mor today.

I listened to my sneakers crunching against the earth in silence as I walked in solitude to the woods for training. I rounded the bend, listening to Cassian's grunts of exertion. He stood in his Illyrian leather, sending multiple punches into a pine tree at such force and speed, chunks of wood flew in all directions. Anger seeped off his muscular shoulders.

I took a deep breath as I approached, wide eyed.

He stopped and turned to me, his lips pursed. I chewed on my lip nervously.

"Oh Hi Feyre. How are you feeling? Suicidal today or just insubordinate?" He said sarcastically. I opened my mouth to speak.

"Save it."

He held up his fists to signal the beginning of training.

I took a deep breath, hitting his fists hard. As hard as I could.

Anger prickled in my stomach as I realised he barely noticed my maximum effort punches against his strong hands.

After 5 rounds, he jabbed my side. I jumped in fright. It didn't hurt as it was light and restrained however he normally announced we would be changing into sparring training.

"Someone's a prick today." I said as I collected myself, lifting my fists up.

He glared back, looking for words. I hit into his hands.

"Someone doesn't give a shit about their family." He spat back.

I growled and paused as he raised his open hands again. I hit hard and fast in a series, sending a punch to his ribs. He barely reacted despite it being all of my force. I aimed to hit his left side as he dodged me, using my momentum with a final push, flipping me over his extended leg. I sprawled into the snow onto my chest.

I pushed up angrily, scrambling to my feet. His eyes glared, an edge of amusement in them.

My nostrils flared.

" Of course I care about our family. That's why I'd be the one to go, to keep everyone else safe!" I yelled.

His eyes widened briefly at my anger as I punched his chest and aimed for his face, as he blocked easily. I felt angrier and hit harder as I couldn't land a single punch on him, with his blocking efficiency. With all of my blows, his expression almost looked bored.

I yelled in frustrating, firing a gust of wind at his chest.

His stumbled back roughly, collecting himself.

His lip curled in frustration.

"How noble of you Feyre." He said sarcastically.

He stalked me, waiting til my fists were back up to spar again.

I noticed movement to my right. Azriel and Mor perched against a tree, curiosity watching. I scowled at them too.

"You're just shitty that if I hadn't let my shields drop last night, I would have escaped you and gone to the Spring Court today, and then you would have looked like an incompetent little Illyrian Warrior to your master." I hit his open hands. He stepped back and gave a boisterous sarcastic fake laugh, leaning back.

"Here we go." I heard Azriel mutter. Mor chuckled.

"You couldn't escape me if you tried! It'd be like catching a small mouse." He boomed, stepping to block my exit. I snarled at him, shooting a cloud of cold air hard at his chest.

He dodged it easily. I grunted in annoyance.

I stormed up to him, kicking him in the stomach, he caught my leg, pushing it so that I lost balance and fell onto my side on the ground.

I scrambled to my feet. "Arg!" I screamed, lunging at him, hitting him hard and fast at his chest and his side. He blocked some but let me make contact with the others, his pity making me angrier.

He stalked me in circles, pacing, his chest and arm muscles taught against the black Illyrian leather.

He glowered at me.

"What a great idea, Feyre. Send you in with half trained powers, a tiny body that could easily be snapped in half and an Ex that would gladly kill you." He spat. I hit him again as he blocked it.

"What a great fucking idea!" He shouted back in fury.

I willed away my tears, strength into my rage as I took in Cassian's stance and words.

"You're just pissed that Rhys makes you babysit me. You don't give a shit."

I spat at him aggressively. Cassian's eyes widened and his shoulders slumped slightly in shock at my words.

"Feyre." Azriel said patronisingly.

I turned to storm deeper into the woods, snow crunching under my boots. I felt Cassian's stunned silence.

"Don't fucking follow me." I growled not turning my head as I trudged off into the woods.

As soon as I felt out of view of the three watching eyes, I sobbed. I wiped the tears away angrily. I felt embarrassed, frustrated and powerless at protecting those I love.

I listened to my footsteps, grateful that they weren't following so that I could collect my thoughts. I listened to the river along side me and the rustling leaves as my anger calmed slightly.

I was aware of a figure up ahead. I lifted my head with anger on my lips, ready to yell at Cassian. Only my eyes widened in shock.

Fire shot from Eris's hands as ropes appeared around my feet and my wrists locked behind my back. I stumbled forward just as he gripped my shoulder hard.

"Hey Princess." He smirked. "This is for your bat boy embarrassing me at the High Lords meeting."

He punched me in the stomach and began dragging me through the snow, closer to the small cliff edge, the raging river below. I was aware of Eris's guard following behind him, his sword drawn.

I screamed in terror as loud as I could muster, writhing in his grip.
