"How dare you steal my father from me?" Virgil mock sobbed, setting the projector up.
"Nobody stole anything from you, stop being dramatic," Jeff hung the sheet and fairy lights.
V looked to his dad with a pout, "What have I done to fall out of your favor, papa? Is this about the sunscreen and me not wanting you to get cancer?"
Robert rolled his eyes, "Go get the kids so we can eat."
"Can't you even look me in the eyes? Am I that distasteful an heir to you?" He sobbed, hugging his dad's side.
"What movie are we putting on? Jurassic Park?"
"Only the best," he agreed, "Kids! Wash up and come eat!"
"I could have done that," Robert set the plates out.
"Hold me like you used to when you cooked," V wrapped his arms and a single leg around his dad's torso.
"Boy, get off! You know you are not little."
"What do you mean? I weigh 50 pounds."
"The devil is a lie," Robert unwrapped himself, "Let go, you trying to break my hip?"
"You make it sound like you're an old lady," Virgil laughed, releasing his dad.
"I am firmly in the senior discount realm," he smiled, watching as the troop hurried over to the table, "Alright, plates to all. Go on, sit so we can watch a movie."
"Nice," Miles thanked pops for his plate and grabbed his cuppie, going to sit on the pillow and watch the movie.
Tim thanked the man, saying something in German to Virgil as he walked past. Resulting in getting punched in back.
"{Shut your whore mouth}," V made sure everyone had their hotdogs, burgers and stuff before forcing his dad to get a plate and collapsing in the chair to enjoy the movie.

Miguel stretched out in the tent, feeling his foot shaking, "What's up? Need to be walked to the pot?"
"No," Jason dismissed, "Uhm…I wanted to apologize for earlier. Didn't mean to make you mad, man."
2099 sat up in the tent, facing his friend but not looking him in the eye, "I shouldn't have…I don't know why I reacted that way."
The words were lost in his throat. It was such a foreign feeling. He felt strongly about many things, but why would he be so upset about a silly comment?
"Virgil is really nice. He always has been a good guy," Jay told him.
"Yeah," Mig whispered, biting his thumb, "I'm sorry…did I hurt you?"
"Nah, you're super weak for someone so big," he smirked, poking him in the shoulder.
2099 smirked, bonking him on the head with Invernio, "Well, I have to pretend to be weak for the weak."
"No dragon attacks," he booped Miguel's nose, "You're not still mad at me, right?"
"No, no I'm not mad," he feverishly shook his head, petting Invernio, "Are we still friends?"
"No doubt," Hood punched him.
"You never said what his name was," Migs pointed to his bear.
"This is Axel. I don't reveal his identity to just anyone. He has a lot of enemies," Jason whispered.
"Invernio doesn't have any enemies yet. Though, I'm sure, the government would like to get their hands on him," Miguel explained, "But he's lost. He's supposed to protect the ice realm, but he got lost and ended up finding me."

"Can we go again soon?" Miles begged, shaking his dad's arm as Virgil drove them back.
Jeff pat his boy's shoulder, "You had that much fun, huh?"
The young man nodded, still bouncing in his seat, listing off all the fun he had fishing and hiking, fighting, seeing bears and wolves. That last part was news to him, causing him to glare into the furthest backseat at the two older 'children'.
"Glad you had a great time," he gave his son a smile, "I bet your mom can't wait to hear everything but the animals part."
"What do you think mami did while we were gone?"
He shrugged, "Who knows. Enjoyed having a quiet, clean home for a full weekend."
Robert smiled to himself. He was sure his wife went and hung out with Sharon and Jess over the weekend. Enjoyed visiting their grandchildren and having meals.

"This was certainly a pleasant break," he glanced at his house as his son pulled into the driveway, "Alright gentlemen. I enjoyed myself," he slapped his knees, getting out the vehicle, "Jefferson, Miles," he reached back, shaking Jeff and his son's hand, "Bye Jason, Miguel."
"I'm helping with your bags," Mig quickly unfastened himself and hurried to grab things from the trunk.
After he received his head pat and Virgil got his face squeezed, they made their way back to the car.
"Ok, Sunshine, you and your dad can get out next. Open the portal," he waved his finger around the car when he was a sufficient distance from his parents' home.

"Thanks for taking them," Dick grunted as his oldest younger brother climbed on his back, trying to put him in a full Nelson.
"No problem. Seemed like they had a good time. I managed to get Tim's laptop from him," V boasted as Jason encouraged Miguel to help him attack his brother.
"Good, he needs a break from the screen," Dick threw J off his back into Mig, "I owe you a big one for that. Did you have fun, little wing?"
J kicked his feet from under him, "Had a lot of fun! Miles and I tag teamed Miguel and beat him up. He'll probably never walk again."
"Yeah, I'll ignore the fact that he's standing and walking just fine," he shook his head from the ground, pushing himself back up, "Well, thank Virgil and say goodbye to him and your friend."
"Bye, thank you again for inviting me. I had a whole lot of fun," Jason beamed, giving them the thumbs up, "Next time I won't go so easy on you," he punched Miguel's arm.
"I was thinking the same about you," Mig pushed him.
"You guys have a good day," V waved, walking out as Miguel waved and followed along.

Finally the rental was dropped off, everyone was sent home and Virgil and Miguel were pulling up to the driveway.
"Before we go in and see mommy and GG," Virgil started, "Did something happen with you and Jason?"
2099 paused, reaching for the handle of the door, "No."
"Are you sure?"
He nodded slowly.
"How did he get that bruise on his arm? Did you grab him?"
"How do you know it was me? How do you know he didn't fall out of a tree or something?" Miguel inquired, rather defensively.
"You and I both know what finger and hand made bruises look like," V stated plainly, "And judging by the width and size, I would guess they were from you. I doubt they're from my dad."
Mig peered out the window.
"That leaves you and Jeff. And if Jeff did that I'll have to kick his a$$," he stated.
The air in the car grew heavy as Miguel began fidgeting with his seatbelt.
"Are we going to talk about it?" Virgil pursed his lips as his boy crossed his arms and shook his head no.
"Ok, let me rearrange that sentence. We ARE going to talk about it," he specified, "What happened?"
The man continued to sit in silence, fiddling about with his seatbelt for a few moments, "Can we go inside please?"
"I would love to! I would love to go inside and take a hot shower, with my beloved shower pressure and my bathroom speaker. Matter of fact, I would love to turn on the jet and have a hot bubble bath," he mused.
"But I need to know what happened between you two before I can relax. Understand?"
Mig whined, "I didn't mean to."
"Ok? So what happened?" Daddy spun his wrist in a manner to encourage him to speak.
"I'm sorry," he slumped, shifting uncomfortably in his seat again.
"Miguel," Virgil demanded.
"I…shouldn't have grabbed him. I didn't mean to…"
"What made you grab him? Did he do something that made you mad or something?"
"He…" another shift, "It was dumb. It was stupid."
"What was it?"
"He called you mean," Mig bit his thumb.
"Oh, that's all?" He asked.
"I don't know why I got so mad when he said it. I just got so angry and grabbed him and I shouldn't have."
Virgil nodded his head in agreement, "No, you shouldn't have grabbed him so hard for that, Bubs. That was a bit of an overreaction."
"But I don't like the idea of him or anyone else saying such terrible things about you or mami. I don't want them spreading lies about you," Mig gripped daddy's wrist, "You're such good parents. Really, really good ones."
"Hey," Virgil gently rubbed his cheek. Miguel was clearly getting worked up, "Shhh. You're ok."
"But I hurt him and you're upset with me, and he might not want to be my friend," his voice trembled.
"Jason is still friends with you," Static assured, "Trust me, he's stayed friends with people who've done far worse than grip him. I'm not really upset, I just wanted to know what happened in case I had to talk to Damian or Dick.
"As far as him saying I'm mean. Eh," V shrugged, "He can be a brat. That's Jason being Jason."
"Are you mad at me?" Mig sobbed, tears making trails down his cheeks.
"No, baby. No, no, no," he shook his head, wiping his tears, "I'm not mad, Jason isn't mad. Ok?"
2099 gripped the man's hand to his face, nodding.
Virgil sighed, taking his boy's face, "Look at me, look at daddy. I promise I am not mad, ok?"
"Promise?"
"Of course," he dabbed his boy's face with a tissue, "Now stop crying. Your eyes are gonna get all puffy and mommy is going to think I beat you up, then she's gonna beat me up," he joked, giving his boy a little smile, "C'mon. Let's go tell her about the good time we had."
Mig hicced, leaning into the forehead kiss and wiping his eyes.
