"Bedtime is no later than midnight if he doesn't do a ton of hero work. If he does, obviously it'll be later, just make sure he gets a nap in since he'll wake up on his own around 7ish," Jess listed off some suggestions to MJ.
"He stayed the weekend like a month ago," Peter remarked, putting his card down as Gunner and May ran around the table.
Spider-mom proceeded to ignore him as she pointed out his favorite snacks and bedtime stories.
"She's really not gonna acknowledge that I've been helping with Miguel from jump street?"
Virgil scoffed, playing his Genlisea, "She doesn't even acknowledge that I've been helping with babies since before we even agreed to have one."
"We just get no credit," Pete stared at the card, contemplating his next play.
MJ put the strawberry milks away, "Are you leaving GG with your sister?"
"Yeah, he has baby gymnastics. We plan on dropping them both off a day before we go. Virgil wanted to hurry up and take out GG'S crib and get a few things done real quick."
"What hotel are you guys staying at?" Pete blocked Virgil's card attack.
"Dude," the man grabbed his phone, showing off the place, "They have a giant fishbowl of condoms when you walk in. I obviously have my own, because I'm not slipping up again."
Of course he loved his baby boy, but he had enough kids right now.
"Do you have to book the jacuzzi room in advance?"
"Oh no, that's in the bedroom," v corrected him, flipping to the next picture, showing the full room, "And it's nicely heated."
"Ohh?" Mary Jane perked up, hearing that, "That sounds nice."
"So this is a glorified sex hotel?" Pete whispered.
"It's a couples hotel, yep," Jess confirmed, "Couple of friends suggested it to us."
"More than a couple," V scoffed, "I'm down either way. I haven't bent her over the kitchen counter in so long," he whined, "Each time I want to be spontaneous, someone appears."
"We're staying there the first week," Jess told the redhead.
"You don't want to sneak us in, do you?" MJ flipped through the photos, "Imagine what fun we could have, Tiger."
Pete gave her a goofy grin, "I mean, more fun than at home? Or a shady motel?"
"I can't wait to hit the beach, bro," V complained.
"Thanks again for watching Miguel for a couple weeks," Jess told them, "He claims he'll be fine on his own for that time. I don't believe that at all."
"He'll be perfectly cared for here," Peter glared at Virgil, "What are you even trying to explain stuff to us for? We're pros!"
"Mm," Jess clearly had reservations.
"What? Is this about the cream?"
"That I told you for the 5th time not to put on him because it ruins cloth? No, of course not. Not the 5th time."
"Said I was sorry," he muttered.
"Dats Invernio," GG pointed out to Mayday, "See?"
"Yep, Invernio is a white dragon," V smiled, showing them both his card.
Peter's eyes widened, "You play that and this friendship is over."

Gunner hopped up and down on Miguel's bed, "I see Aunty and Adam tomorrow!"
"Are you excited?" Miguel smiled down at him, enjoying his little antics, "What are you gonna do?"
"We're gonna go to outer space!" the toddler jumped into Miguel's arms, "Why Mimi not coming?"
"I gotta do some work," Mig tossed his little brother on the bed several times just for him to run over to repeat the process.
The toddler pouted, "Can I come?"
"You can come with me to work a day or two. But it's not very fun. I do things on the computer and other stuff, like daddy."
"Mimi, go to gym with me. Dats fun," Gunner suggested.
Miguel tapped his chin, tilting his head in an exaggerated thinking gesture, "Will I learn to cartwheel?"
"Yeah! Cartwheel, and bend and flip. And we jump on bouncy thing!" The toddler listed off the things he did in his classes.
"Ready for the movie?" Jess peeked in the room.
"Lookit mommy!" He hurried to the rug and did a little summersault.
"Wow! Good job, sweet pea!" Jess clapped, "We gotta show daddy!"
GG hopped up and down, calling for Virgil to come see.
"I'm coming, I'm coming," the man walked in, "Yes?" He watched the baby do his stunt, "Nice! Did you learn that in class?"
Gg nodded, "Mimi needs to come. He can learn."
"Mm hm," he grabbed the boy by his ankle, "We can see. It's almost bedtime, what movie are we watching?"
"Watch Nemo!"
"Are you excited to hang out with Pete and MJ?" Jess rubbed Miguel's cheek.
He leaned into her touch, holding her hand, "Mmhm."
"You're going to have a good time, I bet," she scratched his scalp, "Let's go watch the movie."

"Bye, bye," Gunner gave his parents tight hugs, "Have fun!" He hurried to give Miguel a hug and kiss, "Bye Mimi, be good!"
"Thanks again, Sharon," Virgil slid his sister some green, "Appreciate it."
"You think I need that?" She scoffed, showing him out of her house, "I already told you once, your money is no good here. Go and have fun."
He held his hands up, playfully sneering at her, "Fine, will do. You know we got you when you and Adam want a break."
"You better," she yanked one of his dreds before fully kicking her little siblings and nephew out.
"Alright, that was baby one, are you going to Peter's tonight or your place?" Jess rubbed Miguel's back.
"I'm going to go patrol. I'll probably go to his house when I'm done. I'll message him either way."
"Ok, well give me and daddy our goodbye kisses," she opened her arms, getting lifting off the ground in a tight hug and kisses before Miguel did the same with her husband, "Be good. We'll check in on you, ok."
He nodded, leaning into his head pats, "Have fun on your vacation. Love you."

"Where, oh where, is my charge?" Pete hung upside down from the bridge as he decided to dial in.
After a few rings there was an answer, "Yea?"
"Whatcha doing?"
"Breaking someone's arm," Mig dropped from the ceiling, landing on a goon, "What's up?"
"I'd say the sky, but judging by my position that would actually be down. So I guess the ground is up."
2099 rolled his eyes, slamming another perp, "Must be slow on your end. I'm dealing with a bit of a terf war."
"I wouldn't say it's been slow. I did have to fight the urge to quit my job and run away to Fiji. I also had to deal with Black Cat."
Peter paused, hearing a myriad of bullets on Miguel's end, "Are you doing good over there? Need some help?"
"I'm ok," Mig grunted, dodging and weaving, "What did you have for dinner?"
"MJ made lasagna and asparagus. So there is a plate of that waiting for you."
"Sounds good," he sliced through the weapons, "I'm not sure when I'll be there. If it's too late-"
"There is no 'too late'. But if you don't make it over tonight, try to come in time for breakfast."
A grunt belted out from 2099 as a pipe made contact with his back, "Will do, gotta go, kinda busy. Bye."
Peter huffed quietly as the phone clicked. He was between going and helping him and not overly babying him. After all he was still a hero and had plenty in the way of ability to take care of himself. But…he was still in charge of him and didn't want him getting overwhelmed.
Decisions decisions.
