Pyrrha is dead.

Weiss was currently sitting on her bed late at night in her family's manor, wearing her nightgown. Her father came to Vale himself to take her back to Atlas. All she heard about her team was that Yang got hurt and she believes Ruby was down but alright. She was unsure of the specifics though.

She couldn't believe that Beacon fell overnight. To such a large scale Grimm assault as well. There were a lot of weird occurrences during the whole catastrophe. She even heard rumors that a giant Grimm Wyvern was turned to stone at the top of Beacon Academy. None of it made any sense.

Though even with all the chaos and death from the incident, her mind always landed on Jaune. He was certainly suffering the most, at least out of those she knew. His partner is gone forever... Perhaps they were more than just partners at the time. She wasn't sure if their relationship progressed and she never had the opportunity to put herself out there yet. The Vytal Tournament was taking all her time away and she didn't want to lose or her team to suffer due to her negligence.

Weiss sighed and laid down on her bed, looking up at the ceiling. She felt so gross right now. No matter how much her heart ached for Jaune, no matter how much sorrow she felt for what he's going through, thoughts in the back of her head were happy Pyrrha wasn't in the way anymore. She was disgusted in herself.

What was she to do? Move in on Jaune now that Pyrrha was out of the picture? Use her death as a means to get closer by giving him a shoulder to cry on? How despicable could she get for these cruel ideas to grace her mind for even a moment?

Though it wasn't as if she could actually act on any of those ideas. She was thousands of miles away, trapped in her bedroom. She didn't know what Jaune was up to or anyone else for that matter. But she knew she wanted to be there for him... With Pyrrha not there she could-

Her eyes clenched shut.

"Stop that!" She told herself. These horrid thoughts continued to plague her.

Despite these awful feelings of hers, she did feel bad about Pyrrha's death as well. The two of them never hit it off as she wished they would but she was still a friend. Their teams would collaborate on many occasions. Being right next door to one another helped with that as well.

Her eyes relaxed and she sat up.

Right... Their teams always worked together. Team RWBY and JNPR might be damaged and scattered right now, but they stood by each other. She couldn't imagine Ruby or Jaune abandoning the other... Hopefully they were there for one another during these hard times. As for herself... She was all alone.

So she will have to get out of this prison of a home she's been stuck in one way or another.

Extremely short chapter. But it's just Weiss thinking to herself Sometime during V4 so I really didn't want to make it more than what it is. I could have continued it and skipped ahead a bit to the next segment afterwards, but keeping the chapters simple felt more organized. This isn't meant to be some super long and deep story after all.
