Here it is, the third full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released on time as promised. There isn't much to say here as this is a filler chapter though it does set up a trend that will occur between various story arcs in this series as similar catchup and plan chapters will occur from time to time. There also weren't any questions to answer or reviews to respond to so I will end this pre chapter note here. That means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 3rd full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.
Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.
Chapter 3: Final Preparations
"Alright let's review." Mage said as Marinette and Adrien joined him at the island in the kitchen area of the apartment they now lived in. "You start in a week so you need to know who your classmates are, as well as those in the other Hero Course class but we can save those for later."
It had been 6 months since Adrien and Marinette had arrived in the future, well future for them but now the present. It had been a tough adjustment, but the last 6 months had helped iron out everything for them so that they were at last in as good a spot as possible.
In that time, they had embraced their new roles in the world and their new heroic path and while there was still pain from what they had lost, they were pushing forward. Once they started U.A. things would be truly normal again, or as normal as they could be given all the factors that the teens faces.
They spent the last 6 months training to fully get used to using their Miraculous powers as Quirks as that was what they now were and would be referring to them as from now on. In addition, they'd been learning all they could about the new society they'd found themselves in, Quirks and world history since the advent of Quirks so that they could pass as being from it. The same was done with their backstories so that no one would realize that they came from the pre-Quirk era.
While Mage expected that they would eventually be able to tell the friends they made at U.A. the truth of who they were, the kwamis who were with them as much as possible could help in that regard, they couldn't just yet. It would be too unbelievable and cause too many issues, so they had to stick with this for now and the young couple had everything down pat. The only thing left to review was their new classmates so that they were ready when they started at U.A. next week.
In preparation for the start of the semester they'd finally left the estate three weeks ago to fully adjust to the new world. They'd spent that time living in downtown Tokyo and getting to know the city while visiting Mustufa, the city where U.A. was located, a few times to see it. They'd even toured U.A. with Mage and Nezu two days ago so that they could see the school and get a feel for it, the training areas and the lands around it that the school owned. They would continue to do so for the next week but now it was time for review.
They were in the spacious and modern penthouse apartment that the Guardians used while in Tokyo as it was atop their agency in the city. With Mage's power it could be altered or even made larger on the inside though he hadn't done the latter on this floor. He'd done that on the floor below to allow for a full training facility for them and so they could avoid the lower levels that housed the Guardian Agency, living quarters, and other facilities as the heroes at the Guardians' Tokyo Branch weren't in the know about them.
The penthouse, however, was a usual apartment that was split into 4 parts. They were in the common part, a corner of the apartment that was an open plan kitchen and living room with a very modern flair. The kitchen was along one wall with all the appliances needed and separated from the large living room by the island bar thing they were sitting at.
The living room itself was a large space of poured concrete with an indented seating area in the center filled with comfortable sofas and ottomans in a U shape facing a large TV on one wall. The TV was over a fake fireplace with fancy wall scrolls on either side and a series of display shelves housing game consoles and a cable box to finish the wall space there.
The far wall was a series of book shelves stocked with everything they could need to entertain themselves be it books, DVDs, board games, or whatever else they desired. The final wall was a series of floor to ceiling widows offering fantastic views of Tokyo while being tinted so no one could see in with a wraparound balcony that they could access for fresh air.
There was one door in the room in the corner where the TV wall met the book case wall. The door led to the central atrium of the apartment where the elevator arrived in the center and the other 3 doors were. The remaining 3 corners of the apartment were split into the living quarters with one each for Marinette and Adrien that covered the south side of the building and one for Mage that was next to the living room though that was more for appearances sake as he didn't really need it.
Both Adrien and Marinette's rooms were fully under their control. Mage had set them up so that all they had to do was think how they wanted them, and they would reform to their needs and desires.
It was a great advantage having someone with Mage's power around as it allowed them to be as comfortable as possible when they were in private. While they tended to spend the nights together in bed, usually Adrien's as he liked the double bed style, they still needed their own space, so the teens had personalized their rooms as they wanted which meant that they were similar to how they had been when they'd been in Paris only larger in Marinette's case.
It had helped with the adjustment to have this sense of normalcy in their lives. Now it was time for the final bit of preparation though.
They'd already been informed of the results of both the recommendations, the entrance exams and those who'd accepted their offers when they'd happened. They were even shown the footage of the successful applicants and given full profiles on them to study them but only the ones they'd be in a class with, the others they'd have to use the student directory for.
When it came to which class they were going to be int, they'd been told that Izuku Midoriya would be in class 1-A so that would be their class and as had prioritized their classmates. Now Mage was ensuring that they were ready while also testing their general knowledge of the new society they were in.
"Who are we starting with?" Marinette asked as a glass of orange juice appeared in front of her at a thought while Adrien just had water for the moment, another advantage that Mage provided was the ability to just think of what food or drink they wanted in the kitchen area and they'd get it unless it was alcohol, that wouldn't be provided. "In our class that is."
"The main one of course." Mage said as the school photo of a plain looking boy with messy dark green hair and matching eyes appeared in a 3D hologram form that Mage created in the center of the island and began to rotate. "And you can start Marinette, who is he, what's his Quirk, its classification, and anything you've picked up from studying his entrance footage."
"Alright well that is Izuku Midoriya." Marinette said recognizing the plain, slightly freckled face of All Might's successor. "His Quirk is One for All though it is officially listed as Superpower to avoid naming it. His Quirk class is emitter as it powers up his body."
"Emitter class is also the most common class of Quirk." Adrien added helpfully. "Most fall into this class."
"Correct." Mage said with a nod. "For whatever reason the emitter class is the one that is most likely to appear, and both of your Quirks are in that class as well. Anyway, continue Marinette."
"Yes, well, based on the footage, Midoriya has the key quality of a hero and that is the sense of self-sacrifice above all else to save someone you don't know when he saved a fellow applicant by destroying a massive robot with one punch despite it being worth no points towards his score." Marinette said. "It was also important to not that he had no points in the test at the time, so he effectively sacrificed his entrance to save a girl he'd met that day. For his act he was awarded the full 60 rescue points and got in on that."
"That said, he still has no control over his Quirk, and it breaks his bones when he uses it." Adrien said. "It meant that he almost died had it not been for the girl who he saved returning the favor with her own Quirk."
"Correct though I feel in time he will learn to control it better, that is what teaching is for." Mage said with a nod as the image changed to an angry looking boy with spikey blond hair and red eyes. "Adrien, who is this and why is he second? We'll get to the girl you mentioned in a moment."
"That is Katsuki Bakugo and he's next because he and Midoriya were classmates in middle school making them one of three sets of classmates who got in including me and Marinette." Adrien said recognizing the boy right away. "His Quirk is called Explosion and is an emitter class. He sweats a nitroglycerin-like substance from his palms that he can then ignite to create an explosion or series of them. In terms of raw power, it is probably the second strongest in the class right now."
"However, power isn't the only thing he has." Marinette said. "We saw his test results, he's as intelligent as Midoriya with similar, if not greater, levels of observational skill and no apparent fear. He's driven to win and be the best possible and it is this drive that ensured he was the top scorer in the entrance exam despite getting no rescue points. In fact, he used the 0-pointer to get even more points from the smaller robots in the chaos it caused."
"Correct and one to keep an eye on given his personality and relationship with Midoriya." Mage said as the image change to a classically beautiful girl with long black hair tied back in an odd but impressive looking wild ponytail that had to take a while to get perfect. "Let's move on to the other two students admitted via recommendations as they will be who you're compared to. Marinette, who is this?"
"Momo Yaoyorozu who's Quirk, Creation, is similar to mine in a sense as she has the power to create inanimate objects by converting the lipids in her body into them, but she has to know its atomic structure in order to create it." Marinette said. "So, the creation is different from me, and her items are permanent. As she doesn't change her body, it is an emitter class Quirk."
"She also comes from one of the wealthiest families in Japan though isn't arrogant about it, more not conscious of the difference in status she has to others in a sense." Adrien said taking over as Marinette took a breath. "Which is good in the sense that she won't be like Chloe and will learn. She's also got a near photographic memory and academically is the strongest in the class by a large margin but something like that and her recommended status could lead to confidence issues when she's matched or beaten because of her expectations."
"Yes that does tend to come with her status, a strong planner but one who could easily lose battle confidence with a loss and thus a perfect second in command on a team." Mage said adding his own observations as he changed the image to that of a boy with white and red hair split down the middle so that the red was on his left side and the white on the right and who had one grey and one blue eye with a large burn scar over the left eye. "Now Adrien who is this?"
"That is the other student let in on special recommendations, Shoto Todoroki." Adrien said instantly recognizing him and the hard look in his eyes. "He's the son of Endeavor, the number 2 Hero. His Quirk is a hybrid Quirk called Half-Hot Half-Cold and is an emitter class Quirk."
"With a Quirk like his it is hard to not imagine it being created by anything other than a Quirk Marriage." Marinette added. "It's to specific and contrasting to be unplanned."
"I will not comment on Todoroki's origins." Mage said. "That is for him to share. Adrien, what exactly does Todoroki's Quirk do?"
"He produces fire with his left side and ice with his right and due to his training, family, and Quirk, he's probably the most powerful member of the class right now." Adrien said. "He's better with the ice and doesn't appear to use his fire in battle for some reason. I can't confirm but I think he has some problems with his father, I know that look as I've seen it in the mirror before."
"Endeavor is a powerful and driven hero, but his ambition comes with a mean side that makes him different from most heroes, something to keep an eye on." Mage said as the image changed to a cute brunette girl with a bob cut and two bangs framing her round face and noticeably rosy cheeks all adding to a school girl charm. "Now let's move on to the rest of the class and we'll start with the girls. Marinette, who is this?"
"Ochaco Uraraka, the girl who Midoriya saved in the entrance exam." Marinette said remember the footage with a chuckle, the girl had an interesting Quirk and she'd used it perfectly when she slapped Midoriya to save him. "Her Quirk is called Zero Gravity and she can make people and items float by touching them with the pads on her fingertips, but she needs all 5 to make contact for it to work and she needs to place her fingertips together to release it.
"As with most of the class, it's an emitter class and has a drawback as it causes her nausea if she uses it too much or on something that exceeds her weight limit." Adrien said. "That occurred in the entrance exam when she slapped Midoriya to save him after he saved her and threw up. That slap earned her over 40 rescue points and is what got her into U.A."
"She also tried to give some of her points to Midoriya after the exam because he saved her, and she thought he had no points which she saw as wrong after what he'd done." Marinette continued. "Showing her selfless and caring side which is important in a hero. She's almost certainly going to befriend Midoriya when they meet because of what he did for her and the fact that they seem to have similar personalities means that they will likely be very close friends very quickly."
"Correct, of all the students I would say that she is the one to look at the most after Midoriya for that reason, but you should be friends with all your classmates as you are normal teens do have a normal life as well, you deserve it." Mage said as they nodded at him, they were first and foremost teens at school. "Goon now Adrien who's this?"
"Tsuyu Asui." Adrien said as the imaged changed to another round-faced girl with long, very dark green hair, inquisitive black eyes and a wide mouth. "Her Quirk is called Frog and is a mutant class Quirk because she can basically do everything a tree frog can. She can stick to walls, breath underwater, has a really long tongue that is her primary weapon, regurgitate her stomach and can secrete a toxic mucus but it isn't powerful according to her Quirk records. This makes her the most versatile of the class with no direct weakness but no obvious strength."
"Her mental maturity is also listed as being really high." Marinette said. "I can tell from her entrance footage, and she has a great level head on her shoulders as she rarely gets rattled by a situation. She's not a natural leader though but she has the perfect second in command mentality. Pair her with Yaoyorozu and you have two deputies who together would make a great team as their minds complement each other."
"An accurate observation but one I'd expect from you Marinette." Mage said with a nod as the image changed to a pink skinned girl with darker pink hair, horns, and pitch-black eyes with yellow pupils. "Now why don't you tell me about this girl?"
"Mina Ashido, her Quirk is called Acid and is an emitter class." Marinette said easily able to pick out the distinctive girl. "She can produce an acid like substance from her palms and feet that can melt through a lot of things giving her a great offensive power and mobility as she can skate on her acid to reduce friction. It is also why her skin is pink. She appears to be the most social and outgoing girl in the class and is a talented dancer who uses those moves in her fluid fighting style, at least based on her reports and what I saw in her entrance exam footage."
"Correct though probably don't mention that unless she brings it up, we have access to things they wouldn't expect so best to keep that under wraps." Mage reminded them as the image changed to a girl with chin length dark purple hair cut with an uneven fringe and black eyes though the noticeable feature were the pair of electrical jacks that were her earlobes. "Adrien, you're turn. Who's this girl?"
"Kyoka Jiro, her Quirk is called Earphone Jack and is a rare one as it appears to be directly inherited from her mother and not one that is some evolution of it." Adrien said recalling the data they had on the girl. "It is a mutant class quirk that has good versatility. She plug them into walls and use them to hear things that the human hear cannot hear and at a good range."
"She can also use them to send out her heartbeat as a soundwave if plugged into a speaker or a machine." Marinette added. "They can get longer at will. Not much else to say about her but with her eavesdropping ability she's one of two girls to be cautious of though as a hero she wouldn't abuse her Quirk like that I hope."
"Let's hope but practicing with them would be acceptable so do stick to French for the most part when conversing about sensitive matters." Mage said as the image changed to a blank picture of what looked like the top portion of a school uniform and that was it. "And on your good point to be worried Marinette, so who's the other girl you should be wary of given her abilities?"
"Well as I can't see a face that has to be Toru Hagakure." Marinette said recalling the only person in their class who couldn't be seen and the one who she was most confused about how she'd gotten in given her Quirk. "Her Quirk is Invisibility and makes her permanently invisible. It is considered a mutant class Quirk as she can't turn it on or off. She's the perfect stealth hero as she's completely invisible if naked though she does wear clothes most of the time. There is some potential to improve it, but I don't know how she can."
"Well, she's at U.A. now so she can go beyond with the best training out there but yes she's someone to be cautious of when she practices her Quirk but that completes the girls in the class." Mage said as the image changed to the first boy in the class, a feminine looking guy with stylish blond hair, long eyelashes and an almost noble appearance that for some inexplicable reason seemed to sparkle in the image. "Onto the boys and let's start with the one who will inadvertently back up your stories but can also be an issue for you lot for one particular reason. Adrien, why is that the case?"
"Yuga Aoyama and he's half French who's spent time there and often speaks with French words or phrases, he's fluent in our native tongue, so he'll know of Francois Dupont and be able to back up what we say." Adrien said recalling the kid and how nervous he'd been when he'd heard about him but Mage had assuaged those nerves. "His Quirk is called Navel Laser and is as it sounds a beam that he fires from his belly button. It is an emitter class and causes discomfort if overused similar to Uraraka's. Not much else to say on him but he will likely approach us due to our French connection."
"He will but he's not known to be particularly social so it will be more due to the French thing and his fluency means that you will have to be careful when talking French around him." Mage said as the image changed to a serious boy with short, clean cut black hair and glasses who looked older than the 15 years that he was. "Marinette, you're turn. Who's this?"
"That's Tenya Iida." Marinette said recognizing the business looking boy. "Second oldest son of the Iida hero family so he comes from a long line of heroes and is known for a rather rigid, rule-based mentality as shown from the footage of his application. His Quirk is called Engine and is basically a set of engines in his calves that allow him to run a fast speeds and launch powerful kicks. It's a mutant class Quirk though one of the ones that is easier to hide. Likely a leader candidate but his personality might rub some people the wrong way."
"Accurate, he's rigid from what I could see but loyal and dedicated so perhaps he will loosen up a bit by making friends with the various personalities that you have in your class." Mage said as the image changed to a boy with spikey red hair and sharp teeth though they knew that the hair was dyed and gelled as it had been loose and black in his entrance exam footage. "Now who is this and why is he unique in the class Adrien?"
"That is Eijiro Kirishima and he's unique because his Quirk, Hardening, is the only transformation class Quirk in the class though the other class does have a at least 5 with that class of Quirk." Adrien said. "Seeing as it is the least common Quirk class it is unsurprising that there are so few in the Hero Course with it."
"However, as his Quirk implies, he can make his body rock hard which makes him more durable and able to take a lot of damage." Marinette said taking over for Adrien. "That only increases the strength of his Quirk over time and makes his punches harder, but I presume he can't keep it up for long. Transformation Quirks seem to require a lot of energy to maintain."
"No, he can't, also he and Ashido went to the same middle school making them the third pair of former classmate but that is just background for y'all." Mage said as the image changed to a boy with a bird head resembling a raven or crow with a prominent beak. "Marinette, who is this and why is his appearance misleading?"
"Fumikage Tokoyami and its misleading because his mutant appearance is unrelated to his Quirk and as such should be taken into account when considering its classification." Marinette said easily identifying the reserved boy. "There is one other in the class like him, mutant appearance due to genetics but different class Quirk. Tokoyami's Quirk is called Dark Shadow and allows him to produce a dark shadow like creature from his body that is at least partially sentient it seems and is an emitter class Quirk. One of the most powerful offensive Quirks in the class from what I've seen."
"That is true, there is more to his Quirk but I won't say that as it is for you two to find out." Mage said as the image changed to a boy with a rock-like head and nervous looking eyes. "And Marinette is right in the misleading part. This is the other kid like that in the class so who is he Adrien and what is his Quirk?"
"That is Koji Koda, and his Quirk is called Anivoice." Adrien said recalling the distinctive appearance of the boy and his rather interesting Quirk. "Really shy from what I can tell but likely sweet at heart. His Quirk is an emitter class despite his appearance and allows him to speak to and control animals with his voice. Not much else to say on him until we get to know him better."
"That is an accurate assessment as he is the quiet type." Mage said with a nod as the image changed to a darker skinned man with large lips, short, spiky brown hair and a muscular build. "Marinette, who is this?"
"That is Rikido Sato." Marinette said recognizing the boy as he had a Quirk that many would be jealous of even with the drawback it had. "His Quirk is called Sugar Rush and is an emitter class. Sato can convert the sugar in his body into raw power so for a certain amount of sugar thar he eats his strength increases but the more he eats the more his cognitive functions suffer though I am not sure how the numbers on his public records work."
"Great Quirk there seeing as he can turn sugar into power." Adrien said. "Though the cost balances it out in my opinion."
"It does but it still means he doesn't have to worry about sugar." Mage said as the image changed to a grinning blond boy with a black lightning bolt in his wild hair. "Adrien, what about this boy?"
"Denki Kaminari, his Quirk is Electrification." Adrien said. "It's an emitter class that allows him to store electricity in his body that he can then discharge at will. However, if he discharges a certain amount he fries his brain and goes, er, stupid, for a while. Seems like a laid-back dude so not much else I can say on him."
"Accurate, not much more to say about him." Mage agreed as the image changed to another blond boy with shorter hair and nothing else of note based on the picture. "Marinette, who is this guy and what is his Quirk?"
"That is Mashirao Ojiro, and though you can't see it, his Quirk is Tail which is as it sounds, a tail that he can use as a limb but is stronger." Marinette said. "It's a mutant class Quirk. To maximize his fighting skills, Ojiro is a black belt in multiple martial arts that he has tailored to maximize his tail's use in them. In terms of hand-to-hand combat, he's probably the best in the class and his tail has to be taken into account when fighting him."
"Correct and someone you two can spare with a bit as he could easily give both of you a challenge in that regard despite your speed, strength and reflexes as his skill greatly exceeds your own." Mage said as the image changed to a boy with short white hair and a face mask covering his nose and mouth leaving only his eyes visible. "Adrien, we are nearing the end so who is this guy?"
"That is Mezo Shoji and his Quirk is called Dupli-Arms." Adrien said recalling the guy and noting that the picture did not show his Quirk. "His Quirk is a mutant class and gives him two extra sets of arms under his normal ones that are connected by skin to form a web-like thing that he can use to glide."
"That isn't the extent of his Quirk though." Marinette said. "He can manifest different body parts on the ends of those arms which enhance his sight, voice, hearing and combat depending on the body part he makes, and he can make multiple on top of them. His skills lend more to search and recovery, second only to Jiro in the class, as well as observation and intel gathering but his combat potential shouldn't be overlooked."
"Correct and like with Hagakure and Jiro he has spy skills so if he's testing them watch what you say in Japanese." Mage said as the picture changed to a normal looking kid with black haired and a pointed chin. "Now Marinette we are almost done with your class, this is your last one I believe."
"I thought so and that is Hanta Sero, his Quirk is called Tape and allows him to shoot tape out of his elbows." Marinette said. "As a result, his elbows are not what we would know as normal but fully opposable which aids in his Quirk and his mobility. As a result his Quirk is a mutant class Quirk. He has the potential to be one of the best one in the class at subduing villains and recon with his Quirk if he uses it properly and it is unclear what the capacity of his tape is."
"His combat abilities will improve but you are right in how his Quirk is best used." Mage said as the picture changed to the last image, a boy with a small face and what looked like a dark purple mohawk made of balls. "And lastly, Adrien?"
"That is Minoru Mineta and his Quirk is called Pop Off." Adrien said. "His Quirk is also a mutant class and is based on his head. He can remove the balls from his head and they stick to anything but himself, he'll bounce off them, and they grow back instantly but I presume that overuse of them will cause problems. The disappear after a while but are useful for subduing villains due to their near indestructability. Also he's the shortest in the class by a long way."
"They will cause pain and bleeding if he uses them too quickly." Mage confirmed. "And yes he is the shortest and has a few questionable characteristics to deal with."
"Isn't he like a mega pervert." Marinette said with a shudder. "Complete lust filled gremlin with unhealthy actions towards women."
"That would be an accurate evaluation yes." Mage said with a sigh. "So, the school will be keeping a close eye on him and if he is being perverted you can correct him, and the teachers will look the other way so long as he's not too badly injured."
"Noted." Adrien said. "If he tries anything, well I may have the one Quirk he can't subdue with his as Cataclysm can destroy anything inorganic, and I doubt those balls are organic."
"Adrien and I will make it clear we're an item from the start." Marinette said taking his hand and squeezing it to show how pleased she was that he'd defend her honor. "That will help me at least but I will protect my fellow girls from him if need be."
"It will and it wilk show that you can balance hero and personal lives which is important in its own right." Mage said. "It is a lesson not enough people learn."
"Yeah we know." Adrien said. "We couldn't do it in Paris for many reasons, but we are going to make up for lost time now that we know the full truth of our feelings and can be together."
"Well just be safe." Mage said with a grin causing them to blush. "I can of course cast a spell that works like an IUD and last for a few years before it wears off."
"We're not there yet." Marinette spluttered as Adrien just kept blushing. "We're taking things slow as we adjust to the new world we are in."
"Well when you're ready just ask." Mage said still grinning. "I am technically your legal guardian here so I'm the parental figure you have but I will be letting you have a lot of freedom, mainly because Tikki is better at this then I am at it so just think of me as a cool older brother or uncle if you want."
"That I am." Tikki said flying up from Marinette's bag where she'd waited while they'd discussed. "I'll keep them in line Mage, don't you worry. Me and some of the other kwamis are on the case."
"Good, I don't trust Plagg." Mage said. "His personality is destructive, and he'd likely encourage bad behavior knowing him."
"Where is Plagg?" Tikki asked looking around. "He was supposed to be here for this."
"Oh, he said he had a meeting to attend that will take all night, so he left earlier." Adrien said and Mage just sighed. "Whatever that means as he's very evasive about his meetings."
"That means that there is an underground party hosted by Fracture, the Guardian of Bones and a good friend of Plagg's." Mage said. "They're drinking buddies who go way back. I expect a few other Guardians and some Japanese deities that are still around to be present. I'll go and make sure he's not too bad in a bit."
"What about Class 1-B?" Marinette asked. "Are we looking over them?"
"We'll skim them tomorrow, so you know but for now we are done." Mage said. "I do have one more thing to tell you before I head out and hope to all the old gods that Plagg has not found a karaoke bar, that is a sound that should be banned by the Geneva convention as it's a crime against humanity."
"I've heard Plagg sing, I agree." Adrien said with a shudder. "It's really bad."
"I haven't and don't want to." Marinette said. "But what do you have to add?"
"As part of my cover in preparation for your arrival part of my conscience, the one you're talking to now, has been teaching at Francois Dupont until last year when I resigned to run the Guardian Agency here." Mage said explaining this to them again so that they definitely knew it. "So as part of the exchange, and to add to me being your guardian, I will be teaching part time at U.A. though I won't be teaching first years until the third semester though."
"You mentioned that I believe but thanks for the reminder." Adrien said realizing that there was more to this notification that it seemed. "So we will be seeing you at the school then?"
"From time to time and I am a known pro hero under the name Mage so I will be known as I will be in costume at U.A. though my costume isn't much different from my normal Guardian attire" Mage said. "It's not uncommon for foreign teachers to occasionally teach there so it adds to everything."
"You've really thought of everything." Marinette said.
"We've had a long time to get ready and I have a lot to make up to you two." Mage said. "But that is all for today. We will cover 1-B tomorrow and then you have the rest of the week off though I do expect you to be ready for the semester next week as you will have to introduce yourselves to the class."
"We will be." Marinette said and Adrien nodded. "And thank you, for all of this. We couldn't have adjusted without your aid."
"I am glad to be of help." Mage said with a small smile. "And your uniforms and gym clothes will arrive tomorrow. You're ready but remember to just be yourselves at the same time."
With that Mage vanished into thin air. They were still unsure how he teleported but they presumed it was part of his nebulous power set given the vagueness of his element. Still, the Magic Guardian had grown on them over the last 6 months, and they did see him as a substitute paternal figure though closer to an older brother or cool uncle than anything else.
He'd helped make the transition smooth and they were glad to have him in their corner, but both couldn't wait for school to start. That would be when they fully integrated into the new society, where they could make some new friends and finally return to a new normal.
"So what should we do with our night off?" Marinette asked her boyfriend. "Well and the whole week once we're done with the Class 1-B stuff."
"Well, this week we should just brush up on U.A. and make sure that we are fully ready for when we start." Adrien said as he pulled Marinette close to him. "But as for tonight, well I think there is a romantic French restaurant nearby that is pretty exclusive."
"So we have to use the Agreste name to get in and have a taste of home." Marinette said with a grin. "And cost isn't an issue as we have access to our 'families' fortunes here."
"It is an upscale, romantic place that will be perfect for us." Adrien said. "And for you I'm not above using my name to get what I want to show my lady a good time. Thankfully the Guardians have set it up so that we have our names and status, as well as plenty of spending cash."
"True and that is only a fraction of the wealth they have amassed for us." Marinette said with a shudder at the thought of how rich she now was thanks to the Guardians. "I can't believe that. it feels so weird to be so easily reintroduced to society."
"It does but I'm used to it in some ways, and I know that it won't change you so best to not think of it and only use it when needed." Adrien said and Marinette just nodded. "So, let's get out some nice clothes on and head out. I want to show my bugaboo a good night."
"Will do kitty." Marinette said as she gave him a chaste kiss on the lips to leave him wanting more. "See you in a moment my love."
Marinette just turned and ran off to her room while Adrien smiled at her retreating form. A lot had changed for them but one thing that had truly changed for the better was finding out who his lady was and that she shared his feelings.
Together they could get through this, they knew it. Still smiling Adrien walked to his room to change for tonight ready to take on this new challenge in his life with Marinette by his side the entire time as they prepared to finally enter U.A.
So yeah this was a filler, administrative chapter similar to how a few episodes have been but it is important as it helps set up what Adrien and Marinette know going into U.A. as they start the school and y'all can probably what is coming up next. There will be a few other catchup chapters like this in the kitchen with Mage that goes over their progress to make sure that they are adapting well with ones already drafter for after the USJ incident and after the Sports Festival. Plus, there was a nice cute romantic moment at the end, there will be plenty of those small, cute moments going forward to enjoy. That is all I really have for now though as there isn't much to say about this chapter so I will leave it here. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Until next week.
