Here it is, the fifth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released at the weekly promised time. As this is just a bit of a filler and bridge chapter to help with general relationship development and set up the next chapter nicely there isn't much to say here so that is all I have for now. There weren't any questions to answer or guest reviews to respond to after the last chapter so I will end this pre chapter note here. That means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 5th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 5: Lunch and Costumes

It was the next day and their little group from the day before sat down for lunch. After surviving their first day things seemed to settle down for the kids of Class 1-A. The mornings were dedicated to usual classes, starting with English today with Present Mic who seemed to really enjoy the subject, while they had their Hero Course classes in the afternoon that everyone was looking forward to. Of course, between the two was lunch which was where they were now.

The U.A. cafeteria had a lot of food options for all tastes, you could even make recommendations if you couldn't find something to your liking, and the food was good and cheap. It helped that the cook was a pro hero called Lunch Rush who was known for his culinary skills, he was the Cook Hero after all.

They'd gotten their food in relative silence as they got used to the cafeteria before sitting down as a group at one of the tables. They'd decided to have Marinette and Adrien on one side and the three Japanese natives on the other with Izuku in the middle of his new friends trying to not think of how close he was to Uraraka.

Each went with a different option. Izuku himself had gone with one of his favorite dishes katsudon, as had Ida with a simple beef stew and a large glass of orange juice. Uraraka had gone with a rice and fish-based meal that was done in classic Japanese fashion while the French pair were varied. Adrien had gone with something more Japanese with a noodle broth that was heavy on vegetables and meet while Marinette had opted for a bowl of bouillabaisse to have a taste from home with a local twist to the dish though the Japanese trio had no idea what it was.

"Oh, I forgot a spoon." Marinette noted as they sat down and realized she'd instinctively gotten chopsticks out of habit even if she was still not great with them. "That was dumb of me."

"Can't you just use chopsticks and then get something for the soup part?" Uraraka asked her a little confused by the dish Marinette had and not understanding why she didn't just use chopsticks for it. "I've never seen that dish before, looks a little fancy."

"It's a French dish and looks to be made in our traditional style only with a local fish rather than one from our waters so I really want to see how it tastes but I prefer a spoon because you eat the soup part with the fish as they are paired together." Marinette said as she held out her hand and activated her Quirk. "But I don't have to get up, I just have about five minutes before I have to redo this though as I am eating at the same time who knows, maybe this is a way to improve my Quirk's duration."

Izuku and his new friends just stared in surprise at the sudden Quirk use as the air above Marinette's palm began to sparkle with pink light just as it had done whenever she'd used her Quirk the day before. A second later a specialty soup spoon that seemed to be perfect for what Marinette needed appeared in midair and fell into her hand. Marinette smiled and began to eat clearly enjoying her food while the three across from her continued to stare at her.

Izuku had seen her Quirk in use the day before but it's versatility still surprised him, and he knew he would have to ask more about it as soon as he could. He was also curious about her above human normal levels of fitness but that would come as well. First was her item creation Quirk.

The fact that her Quirk could create whatever she needed out of thin air was strange but what was stranger was that the spoon in her hand, while it had the shape of a spoon, it didn't have a normal appearance. Instead, it looked like it was wearing a miniature version of Marinette's school uniform complete with a tie down the center and a skirt at the base on the lower half of the spoon.

"Wow that's good." Marinette commented after she swallowed her mouthful of bouillabaisse after thoroughly chewing it to get a sense for the flavor. "The local fish is a different change to the traditional broth that really adds a new element to it that I've never had before. No two bouillabaisses are the same because there is no uniform in the fish used, it's always what the local specialty is or whatever is available if you're not near water, so it's always fun seeing how a different fish pair with the broth. This is very different as it's a Pacific and not Atlantic fish."

"Er I don't think they're listening to that Marinette." Adrien said as he ate and enjoyed his meal. "I think you may have made a cultural taboo, but I can't think of what it might me."

"Huh?" Marinette asked looking up and seeing the shocked look on her companions' faces. "What? Did I do something wrong? I didn't think I did but if I did can you explain it, so I know to correct it in the future."

"No but your Quirk…" Izuku began recovering and finally able to bring up Dupain-Cheng's Quirk in conversation and not look weird. "You used your Quirk."

"Oh, was I not supposed to?" Marinette asked confused, she'd checked the school rules to make sure that she could use it if need be so long as it wasn't against another student and on school property and she'd done just that. "I thought I could if it was for something I needed and I was on campus. Am I wrong?"

"No that is within the rules as you just made a spoon to eat." Ida said shaking his head. "So, I can't see a violation of the school rules, it's more that I don't think any of us expected you to suddenly use your Quirk."

"But I needed something to eat my food, so it made the most sense to use it." Marinette said confused. "That is after all the crux of my Quirk."

"How does your Quirk actually work then?" Izuku asked seeing his opening and unable to stop himself once he started. "Also why were your results yesterday were above what a normal human girl our age when you didn't use it and by above average I mean they were above what a human at peak condition could do without a Quirk, but you could still do it. Same with Agreste for that manner."

"Well, the strength for us is just a reminder of the selective breeding that was all the rage in Europe during the early Quirk days." Marinette said offhandedly catching them all by surprise as she continued to eat. "As for my actual Quirk, it's called Lucky Charm and allows me to create an inanimate item, but I need to have a goal in mind when I activate it because the item I create is something that will help me complete that goal. Yesterday I used it to complete the tests with the best scores I could get while here I needed something to eat my soup, so it gave me a spoon that is perfect for the role."

"That seems like it could be really useful." Izuku said suddenly thinking on the applications of Dupain-Cheng's Quirk and ignoring the selective breeding comment for the moment. "Can I ask you more about it?"

"In a moment, I, er, have to hurry with my food." Marinette said as she began to eat fast in an unladylike fashion and didn't want to say anything more with her mouth full.

"Why?" Ida asked.

"I'll explain that and the enhancements we both have that you noted while my lady eats." Adrien said with a grin as he could eat at a normal pace right now. "I know Marinette's Quirk well and it is similar to mine in one sense so I can explain it for you guys."

"Not in the sense that you are related similar I presume given your status as a couple." Ida said causing everyone to splutter at his words. "That would be wrong if that was the case."

"No in fact our Quirks are almost polar opposites in what they do so we can't be related." Adrien said shaking his head. "But we both have a limit on how long we can use them for and a similar drawback that is relatively common in Quirks in France for some reason. Any item Marinette creates will only last for 5 minutes before it disappears, or until she completes her task, while mine is only active for 5 minutes unless I shut it off earlier or what I've used it on has taken all of it, though with training the time should expand for us. Once our Quirks time out we need to recharge before we can use them again."

"Recharge?" Izuku asked wishing he could write all this down, but he couldn't right now, so he just listened intently as he ate. "Like a wait time? I know that there are Quirks that have a cool down period so to speak and can't be used again for up to a day depending on what they are. It can't be like that though seeing as Dupain-Cheng used her Quirk multiple times yesterday."

"No, we just need to eat something to recharge it." Adrien said simply. "Food provides us energy to power our Quirks so the higher the energy the food can provide the faster the recharge is. We have some specialty, high protein, very tasteless, food cubes with us at all times just in case as they speed up recovery. That would be what Marinette was eating yesterday."

"I see there are also Quirks like that so it makes sense that some of the class would have that kinda requirement." Izuku said with a nod recalling a few Quirks that needed food as a source or a recharge method. "Speaking of Quirks, what is your Quirk then Agreste? I was really surprised that Mr. Aizawa couldn't test it yesterday so I'm really curious as to what it is."

"All I will say is that it is called Cataclysm as I'm waiting until combat training to show it off." Adrien said with a grin. "All I will say is that I can't use it here or for daily use and there is a very good reason why Mr. Aizawa couldn't test my Quirk seeing as none of those tests could do that. The closest was the grip strength I guess but that would have yielded no recordable results."

"I see so it is more on the destructive side similar to say Bakugo's explosion Quirk." Ida said musing on it. "If it couldn't be tested by what we were doing yesterday then it has to be something that neither aids mobility nor assists with the devices our teacher used. I can only theorize that it has something to do with destruction but now what."

"It's certainly destructive." Adrien agreed and left it at that.

"Alright well what about the fact that you and Dupain-Cheng are faster and stronger than normal humans." Uraraka said speaking for the first time. "Dupain-Cheng said something about selective breeding which sounded so wrong. It makes you sound like livestock."

"Oh, it is, and it is just what it sounds like." Adrien said with a sigh, he didn't need to fake his revulsion at the concept, but it played into his and Marinette's backstories well as it could be used to explain their boosted strength, speed, and durability. "Selectively marrying so that either stronger Quirks are produced, or certain traits appear in offspring that aren't necessarily a Quirk in their own right but an improvement to the offspring's constitution were common back in the day. Many European countries did it, the French focused on the constitution aspect though hence our, for lack of a better word, enhancements."

"That does sound wrong." Izuku said, he'd never heard of anything like that. "Why would they do that?"

"To produce better offspring that were definitely stronger than their parents." Adrien said with a sigh. "Thankfully the fad died out around the time of our grandparents' generation and both mine and Marinette's parents married for love, but the results were the same as they got passed down the generations. We both have enhanced strength, speed, durability, and endurance as a result of that process. It's not enough to be listed as a Quirk, especially as we have actual Quirks we got from our parents, but it is noticeably above what a normal human can do."

"These sound a lot like Quirk Marriages." Ida said putting what the French pair had said into a context he understood. "Something my family has always been against, but we also only became a hero family with my grandfather so around the time they fell out of fashion in this country as well though I've never heard of them being used in that sense."

"It was always hit or miss so the families had multiple kids to get what they wanted, and the desired offspring became the heir which only added to the problems." Adrien said as Marinette finished her meal just before her spoon vanished in a bright pink flash and she moved onto her dessert to get some recovery for her Quirk before whatever their heroics class would be. "And then the parents would look for the best marriage for that offspring and thus the cycle continued. It's not something we're proud of but we can't complain about the results."

"Fortunately, we won't have to deal with that." Marinette said as she took a drink of her juice to wash down her food. "We can be with who we love as you can see."

"Yes you explained that yesterday, still amazing that you fell for each other without realizing." Uraraka said with a smile at the couple, it had been an adorable story. "I still don't get how that even works."

"It works when you know each other both in and out of the mask and the feelings occur on either side of it." Marinette said. "So, I fell for Adrien as he was before I met him in his costumes when we were paired in the Hero Course, and he fell for me during our time together as partners in the Hero Course. In fact, he kept asking me out when we were in the course, but I kept turning him down because I liked a boy in our normal classes but couldn't say who. When we got permission to reveal our identities it all clicked, and we started dating that very night."

"It sounds like a cheesy anime, but it is so cute at the same time." Uraraka said. "Almost like it wouldn't happen in the real world, but it did because of the circumstances that you were in."

"Yes young love is cute, but we are getting distracted from what we were originally talking about." Ida said. "Dupain-Cheng, can you explain your Quirk more? I am still a little confused by it, mainly the item that appears and the control you have over what it will be."

"Yeah and I am really confused by one aspect of it." Izuku said. "Why did it have your uniform on it."

"Oh that, yeah that's an oddity of it that I've never figured out." Marinette said with a little blush she hadn't expected that until the first time she'd used her Lucky Charm and it had been in her pajama pattern and it seemed that the print was tied to her attire. "It's always been like that for some reason. Whenever I activate it, the item produced, while a normal item, is always in a pattern of whatever I am wearing at the time. Usually, I'm in costume but nowadays it's more varied as we won't always be in our costumes."

"I guess that makes it so that you always know what it is." Izuku said thinking on it and coming to the conclusion that it was just an offshoot of the Quirk itself and likely due to the temporary nature of the item. "So how exactly does your Quirk work? Like do you know what the item will be or is it random? Do you automatically know what to do with it or do you have to use trial and error to find out how to apply it? Yesterday was all straightforward but I can see that in the heat of battle it might be harder. Maybe…"

"Woah slow down Midoriya and I will explain it as best I can." Marinette said as Izuku began to mumble away causing three of them to be a little disturbed and one to not admit that she found it kinda cute and adorable that Midoriya was mumbling about what he was passionate about. "I'll answer them all but one question at a time please."

"Right sorry, I got a little caried away." Izuku said he just wanted to know more about everyone's Quirks and Marinette's wasn't one he'd seen before so naturally his intrigue was peaked. "That happens when I get to into what I'm thinks. It's a bad habit I guess."

"It's ok I'll start by explain how I use it." Marinette said with a smile to show him that she wasn't offended or weirded out too much by the green haired boy's odd habit. "Basically, when I have a task to accomplish, often it is victory in battle but sometimes it is supporting my allies or simply needing something for a second, I activate my Quirk and an item appears before me. To follow up another question you asked, no, I don't know what item it will be before I activate it. All I know is that it will be the perfect thing I need at that very moment for the task I need to accomplish, the time limit is the balancing that aspect of it."

"Oh, I see so it works like you are dealing with a puzzle and the item is the missing piece." Izuku said thinking on it. "It certainly is powerful, but the time limit does allow for some balance to it."

"In a way yes." Marinette said impressed by the analogy and cutting Midoriya off before he could begin mumbling again. "Though the puzzle itself is not finished even with the item. I'm not a linear thinker so the item I get might not be what you would expect it to be. Theoretically I could know what I want and go with it but that's not how my brain works. I like to do things in as complex a way as possible for some reason. Eating soup isn't complex so giving me a spoon is predictable but when it comes to battle it can be completely unexpected."

"Fascinating." Ida said, the three U.A. students all listening intently to Marinette's description of how she used her Quirk in combat. "Most people think of winning as a straight line, but you don't."

"Nope I see it as more of a zigzag with a few loops thrown in for fun." Marinette said shaking her head and chuckling at some of the more elaborate Lucky Charms she'd had back when she'd used them to stop akumas. "It frustrates Adrien sometimes when we were training, and I got something odd that took a moment to figure but it's just how I am. That is if the item is for battle as I've had a few items that actually told me I needed an ally from our class that wasn't Adrien but those tend to be more obvious."

"It's more I'm usual part of whatever elaborate scheme you use to win or am the shield while you figure it out." Adrien said. "I am a linear thinker though, so I have my uses. The ally alert items are annoying though as they take time."

"Sometimes our powers alone won't work though." Marinette said. "And we need help, no shame in asking for it."

"No there's not and in a team there are always jobs for all types." Ida said. "So having an ability that can tell you the only way to win is to get help is really useful. Something all heroes likely should learn as there will be times when flight or a better suited hero are needed."

"All true." Marinette said with a nod. "Several of our friends have aided us in the past during training and I am sure that over the coming years here I will get items associated with people in our class telling me that I need their aid."

"And we will be there to help." Ida said with a nod.

"There is one thing I want to know." Uraraka said just as interested as the others and asking a question she had for Marinette. "How do you know how to use the item if you don't think linearly, or the item's use isn't obvious at first?"

"It's actually part of my Quirk, sorta the second half similar to how you have to put your fingers together to release your Zero Gravity, Uraraka." Marinette said to the bubbly brunette. "Once I have the item and if I am unsure how to use it, which is often due to my mind, my vision kinda tunnels and everything becomes various shades of gray to me. Then everything I need flashes in the order I need them, and somehow I know what to do with the item. It's kinda hard to explain but you will see in time."

"That seems like it would require a lot of thinking." Uraraka said trying to understand it.

"It took a fair bit of training to master but I have a handle on it now." Marinette said with a smile. "All I need to work on at this point is figuring out how to improve it beyond the simple need to extend my time limit with the item because 5 minutes will not be enough time in some situations."

"Well, that is what U.A. is for." Ida said. "It is the best after all so we will all improve our Quirks here."

Just then the bell rang to signal the end of lunch and 10 minutes before the start of afternoon classes which meant the start of hero classes for them. They were all eager, even Marinette and Adrien as they were keen to see what the classes were going to be like in a hero centric society, so they got up and cleared their food before heading back to their homeroom. It was time to see what hero training was like.

"Damn Dupain-Cheng, that was not what I was expecting to see." Mina Ashido called out in the girls changing room as Marinette finished taking her dress shirt off and put it in her locker leaving her in just her special bra and school skirt as she'd done without an undershirt today. "I didn't take you for the type."

Ochaco was confused as she looked over to where Dupain-Cheng was changing. This was the first real interaction all the girls had had together as the changing yesterday had been a bit more rushed, and it was clear that Ashido was the extroverted type who spoke her mind and had no shame whatsoever it seemed. That second part was highlighted by the fact that the pink skinned girl was completely topless as she spoke.

They were in the changing room as they got into their hero costumes for the training that All Might was going to put them through at Ground Beta having told them as much when he burst into their homeroom at the start of class and their costume cases came out of the wall. This was the first time they were wearing their costumes and Ochaco was excited to see it though she had a bad feeling that it may be a little tight based on what she'd seen of it and the fact that she hadn't specified that it not be hence why they were in the changing room.

Nudity wasn't a big thing in Japan when with the same gender, they did go nude in the bathhouses after all. However, Ochaco didn't really use those due to her family's situation, so she was a little more reserved on that front but in time she'd be much more comfortable around the girls in her class.

It appeared that Jiro was as well while the other girls didn't seem to mind so much with both Yaoyorozu and Ashido having no shame, though Ochaco thought that it might not be shame and something else with the former. Well, Hagakure didn't need to worry as she was invisible, and her costume seemed to be just boots and gloves and nothing else which meant that she was going to be completely naked while fighting. Then again, that was the best way she could use her Quirk.

Marinette just blinked at the pink girl and Ochaco was sure that the French girl was just as confused as the rest of them at Ashido's sudden statement. Ochaco couldn't help but look at Marinette to see for herself as Marinette bent down to take her skirt off and reveal tight short shorts that seemed to be made of the same material as her bra. Both were oddly red with black dots on them.

For a moment Ochaco had no idea what Mina could be talking about as Marinette stood up. The only odd thing about Marinette was that she had surprisingly defined abs and seeing her out of clothes showed that as slender as the girl was, Marinette was clearly muscular which was likely a result of her enhanced strength.

Then Ochaco saw what Ashido must have been referring to and she couldn't help but agree, that was unexpected based on what little of Marinette's personality that Ochaco had gotten to know. That was because, glinting on Marinette's lower abdomen was a navel piercing, very clear now that Ochaco had seen it. It looked like the design on it was a red background with 5 black dots, at least the part that wasn't the metal bar and ball of the piercing.

"Huh?" Marinette said confused for a moment before realizing all the girls, or at least she thought all of them as she couldn't tell with Hagakure almost completely naked, were looking at her abdomen and she looked down as well and noticed what they must be staring at. "Oh that, yeah I had to get that 6 months ago when my costume was updated after I got into U.A. and all of you can call me Marinette if you want."

"Then call me Tsu." Tsuyu Asui said to her as the frog-like began to put on her own, fittingly frog-themed, costume. "But I am curious as to why you have that Marinette. It's your choice of course but you didn't strike me as the type to get a piercing there, not that I am stereotyping girls who do that is."

"Trust me Tsu I'm not." Marinette said glad at least one of the other girls was willing to use first names as it was more familiar to her. "But Francois Dupont has a contract with a costume company that recently released a new type of costume around the time Adrien, and I were transferring so we got the first generation of them in our updated costumes and well my style required it to be either here or somewhere a little more painful."

"I don't follow." Yaoyorozu said as she finished putting on a very revealing costume that had to be skirting the edge of regulations but given the nature of the girl's Quirk Marinette could see the practicality of such a costume. "Why does that have anything to do with a navel piercing?"

"Let me show you." Marinette said removing her socks before she pressed the middle finger on her right hand on the center of her Miraculous so that it could confirm her identity and reveal why she had it in her navel. "Then it will all make sense."

A second later her Miraculous grew to the size of a belt buckle before the 'nanotech' shot out of the Miraculous and covered her body the way it was supposed to only this way it looked like technology and not the magic that it actually. It was a clever system and as Technus had similar creations he was distributing to the schools in Europe he was contracted with it helped hide what the item actually was.

It only took a few seconds before her whole body was covered in the skin tight costume she was so used to with the exception of her head. The only difference from normal was that she now had what looked like a belt buckle where the miraculous had been and no yo-yo or mask as those couldn't be created by it without looking suspicious.

"That is why I have the piercing." Marinette said with a smile at the slack jawed looks on the other girls' faces that she could see but she presumed that Hagakure was the same. "Special highly advanced support item that contains my costume, so I technically always have it on me. This is pure nanotech and is designed to boost my natural strength, durability, and speed. Which given my enhancements thanks to years of Quirk Marriages is considerable. It will also take a lot to damage my costume so another bonus."

"Wait so why do you have a chase?" Ochaco asked finally recovering from the shock of Marinette's costume appearing and asking about the case with number 21 on it. "You have one even though your costume is on you."

"For the items that this piercing can't have in it as it can only contain the costume." Marinette said with a smile as she opened the case to see her mask, yo-yo and a special utility belt that contained her protein cubes but would in time have more pouches as she figured out what she needed when she was in her costume. "I do have a support item and other things for my Quirk in here."

"That's nanotech, a trademark cutting edge technology made by a man known as Technus, isn't it?" Yaoyorozu asked recognizing what Dupain-Cheng had on her after she recovered from the surprise of it and was finally able to identify it as she hadn't seen it before. "My father told me about him, he's the best when it comes to technology mainly because his Quirk lets him control and commune with anything technical, but he's based in England so it's really hard to get his gear here in Japan."

"Yeah he is based there and because of that he has contracts with Francois Dupont as well as the top schools in England, Spain, Italy, and Germany." Marinette said glad that Yaoyorozu and her family's contacts further helped her backstory. "His stuff is the best I think and both mine and Adrien's costumes are made by him. He's the top supplier and creator in Europe."

"That's really impressive." Yaoyorozu said. "The designers here are some of the top in the world but only David Shield is considered to be on the same level as Technus. It's why the latter is only in Europe and not America despite being a native English speaker."

"Yeah they have a friendly rivalry apparently with Shield having cornered the market in America and Technus doing that in Europe." Marinette said as she put on her belt and attached her yo-yo to it on her right him and felling the comfort that the magical item now that it was on her again. "But enough talk, time to put this costume to the test and see what we have in store for us today."

"Agreed." Ochaco said as she finished putting on her skintight suit that showed off all her curves in a way that she found embarrassing and looking over to Marinette and her new item that she had on her belt. "What is that circular thing Dupain-Cheng?"

"Oh this." Marinette said patting it with a smile. "It's a yo-yo. Adrien and I are trained in the use of a weapon as our Quirks don't lend to long term offensive combat, so we use them so as to not rely on the Quirks. In fact, all students at Francois Dupont find a weapon they can use in their first year and train with it for just that purpose. You never know when you might be in a combat situation but can't use your Quirk, so it is best to be prepared for such a situation."

"A yo-yo?" Jiro asked confused. "How is that a weapon?"

"Just wait and see." Marinette said with a grin at the punk girl. "You'll see what I can do with this baby over the course of the year but trust me, in my hands it's more than just a yo-yo."

"Come on ladies let's go." Yaoyorozu said deciding to move them along so that they would be late for class but just as curious as the others about Dupain-Cheng's use of a support weapon and the actual weapon choice itself. "I know the way so follow me."

The other girls, all of whom had finished putting their costumes on as Marinette had been talking, just agreed and as a group the left the changing room and headed to the training ground. Marinette was looking forward to finally showing off what she could do in battle, and it was good to be in costume once again, she just hoped Adrien was as excited as she was.

"Damn Agreste you are toned." Kirishima said as the boys got changed. "So manly already. I've got to catch up."

"Huh oh thanks." Adrien said surprised that one of the guys was checking him out but after seeing that Kirishima's costume didn't have a shirt, likely due to how his Quirk worked, he understood and realized it was just who the boy was. "A blessing from my genetics with a few years of training thrown in for definition but I expect we'll all bulk up over the year."

"That's the plan." Kirishima said hardening briefly to show off. "Gotta get this ripped, manly body up to scratch. The stronger I get, the stronger my hardening should be."

Adrien just chuckled as he finished undressing until he was in his special black underpants that looked like standard boxer briefs but were for use with his costume. Unlike the girls the guys were changing in relative silence and heading out as soon as they were done.

Adrien wasn't wrong, all of the guys, other than Mineta, had clearly defined muscles already though Sato was the most likely due to his Quirk, but Adrien was probably top 5 in that department. His enhanced strength gave him a bulkier physique than most and his workouts over the last 6 months had only added to it though for whatever reason he didn't look over the top which he liked. While Marinette focused on being lither and more flexible, Adrien complemented it with being the strength of the pair.

"Dude where's your costume?" Kaminari asked Adrien as he finished getting his own costume on that didn't look anything special but somehow suited the boy's personality well. "Your case isn't even open."

"Oh, that's because all that has is my mask, belt, boots and a support weapon in it." Adrien said as he pressed his ring as instructed. "This is where my costume is."

The few boys there, notably Kirishima, Sero and Kaminari as apparently Midoriya had decided to change out of sight for some reason, gasped as Adrien's ring turned black and the special 'nanotech' created his slightly clawed glove-like thing over his hand before spreading over his body and forming the new, still pitch black, Cat Noir costume that was very close to his old one. The differences were that the gloves weren't there anymore but fully connected like Marinette's with no boots, bell, mask, ears, or belt and it was a little tighter than before.

"What is that?" Sero asked surprised at the sight. "I've never seen a costume like that. I just thought you wore that ring because it looks cool on you."

"Well, it does but it's also to store the nanotech that makes up my costume." Adrien explained. "It's a special patent created by Europe's top costume designer and support item creator; a British hero known as Technus. Francois Dupont has a contract with him so both mine and Marinette's costumes are made from it and contained in items of jewelry we always have on us as that is part of Technus's style. It's specially designed to enhance my already above average attributes and it won't be affected when I use my Quirk as the tech is smart and already coded to my DNA."

"Damn that is so cool." Kirishima said as the others, mainly Kaminari and Mineta, speculated on where Dupain-Cheng's item could be as they hadn't seen any visible jewelry on her. "Is it available here? Something like that would work really well with my hardening."

"Alas no, U.A. has their own contracts and preferences but when you're pros I'm sure you can see if Technus will help though his stuff isn't cheap." Adrien said as he opened his case and began putting his boots on. "I think he'll be able to work with a few of the people here though, mainly those who need specialty created costumes due to their Quirks."

"Speaking of Quirk, what is yours?" Sero asked clearly the trio were going to wait for Adrien to finish getting ready. "We've all been curious as to what it might be after what Mr. Aizawa said yesterday."

"As I said to Uraraka, Ida, and Midoriya, it's called Cataclysm and you will have to wait and see what it is." Adrien said with a grin as he attached the belt, it was the only actual support item so he didn't have the tail thing he used to have as that would be weird he felt and could carry his essential supplies. "Now shall we go?"

As Adrien finished he put his mask on and twirled his baton before holstering it at the small of his back as he always did before looking at the other guys who stared at him in surprise. This time Adrien was not sure what he'd done.

"Guys?" Adrien asked them.

"Your eyes are now fully green." Kirishima said looking him in the eyes as he studied the surprising change. "Is that part of the mask?"

"Oh yeah it's a prototype I'm testing." Adrien said giving the excuse they'd come up with to explain the mask being like it was when Adrien had transformed in the past. "It allows for night vision in lowlight but is normal otherwise. In time it might be updated to have various setting if this feature works well."

"That's cool and pretty handy." Kaminari said. "But we should get going, best to not be late."

The others nodded as they left the changing room to make their way to Ground Beta where the class would be. It was time to see what this hero training was all about and that meant that it was time for Adrien to have fun again. He couldn't wait to show off what he could do, he just hoped that whatever was planned allowed him to work with Marinette because the two of them were an unstoppable team. U.A. was about to find that out first hand.

I think I will end it there as it is a good spot to leave off on as the story gears up for what you know is coming next. This was a simple, filler, chapter designed to show how Adrien and Marinette continue to adapt to their new life and integrate more with their class and start to have a bit of fun with their classmates. That will continue to happen throughout the early chapters with more characters as the situations arise but next up is something I know y'all know so stay tuned for that and what I have in store for you on that front. That is all I have for this chapter though so I will leave it here. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next week.
