Here it is, the sixth full chapter of Miraculous Quirks released a lot earlier than expected. Surprise, I am having so much fun with this fic (it's been planned since early December 2020) that I've decided to just upload when I can for the moment, around real world commitments and my other active stories that have their weekly uploads as well. I won't promise how much gets uploaded or when, just expect a few per week for a few weeks at least though I will slow down when I near my current draft chapter (at the moment 24 but I intend to keep drafting when I can) and there will be a 3 week hiatus in November but I won't be idle then, just unable to upload. Anyway, there was one question from the review and I will answer it now by simply stating that Technus, my OC Guardian of Technology, has absolutely nothing to do with the Danny Phantom of the same name, the names are pure coincidences. That is all I have though which means that it is time to sit back, relax, and enjoy the 6th full chapter of Miraculous Quirks.

Disclaimer: I do not own either of these great works of fiction.

Chapter 6: Battle Trials

"Welcome to your first hero training class." All Might said as they all gathered at Ground Beta, a realistic fake cityscape full of different kinds of buildings that were perfect for urban training. "I hope you're ready to show me what you got ya bunch of newbies."

All Might stood before them in the costume that Marinette hadn't seen him wear before today when he'd worn it as he bursted into their class to announce their first hero class. This one had a red top with a white design on it, blue pants, yellow boots, belt, and gauntlets, and a blue cape with a red interior.

"I still can't believe you're wearing your Silver Age costume All Might." Midoriya said totally geeking out at the sight of the old costume. "Talk about a throwback."

Marinette took that moment to look around and note all the costumes on their class. She'd seen the girls' costumes and knew that Ochaco hadn't specified her measurements, so her cute black and pink thing was skin tight showing off all her curves and making Midoriya embarrassed to see her like that.

The rest of the girls were pretty standard though Hagakure had gone with just boots and gloves to maximize her invisibility which was also likely the only reason why she wasn't violating the regulations for exposed skin. Yaoyorozu's however basically just within the regulations for costumes which Marinette understood given her Quirk came from her body, but she did think the girl could have gone with something less revealing or at least move covering in that department as Mineta was openly staring at Yaoyorozu's impressive assets.

As for the guys, they seemed to range with their outfits. Some went for fancy outfits like Aoyama's knight outfit with a sparkling cape. Some went with practicality like Kirishima's simple outfit, others style, and others Marinette had no idea what they were for though that was mainly the ugly gauntlets on Bakugo's arms, though the grenade shape was fitting given his Quirk, or why Todoroki had faux ice on his left side. One thing Marinette was certain of, she'd learn more about their choices in today's class.

"For today's class we will be doing a battle trial as most of you have already faced robots but not humans and that is different as using your Quirk on a human is not the same as using it on a robot." All Might said brining their attention back to him. "You will be in teams of two, one team will be heroes and the other villains in this exercise. The villains will have a nuclear bomb hidden somewhere in the building, and it will be the hero's job to either capture the bomb by touching it or catching the villains with special tape or by rendering them unable to battle. The villain must try to defeat the heroes or run out the clock, which the heroes won't know as they likely wouldn't in real life, when the bomb goes off killing everyone, figuratively in this case of course."

"Real combat, true manly stuff." Kirishima said with a grin. "This is what I've been waiting for."

"We get to fight the others." Bakugo said looking gleeful. "And I don't have to hold back for once."

"Do we have to fear expulsion if we are the worst?" Uraraka asked worried and many were like her on that front. "Will you expel us like Mr. Aizawa said he would?"

"I see, it is a test against each other and time just as it would be in a real like situation." Ida said his voice the loudest and cutting out everyone else as he spoke. "I don't like some of us being villains, but it will help us understand them more and make the exercise more realistic so I can accept that. However, All Might, there are 22 of us so there will be one team without an opponent with that number. That seems like an oversight to me."

"That is true young Ida." All Might said. "But you are forgetting, we have two transfer students from France who were admitted based off their records and a test they took back home and not here. As such I for one do not know what young Dupain-Cheng and young Agreste can really do. Therefore, both because of that and to show the partner system that Francois Dupont is known for, they will be a team and will go twice, once as heroes and once as villains. That will give me an accurate assessment of their abilities. Does that answer your query?"

"It does." Ida said with a small bow in his armor. "What about the other teams?"

"The other teams will be picked by random." All Might said while Marinette looked to her boyfriend who just smirked, them on a team was unbeatable.

"Surely that is an arbitrary way of deciding them." Ida said. "At least that's what it seems."

"Think of it for a moment Ida." Midoriya said in his light green suit that did not look professionally made and seemed to be a bit rabbit like for some reason. "When we are heroes there will be times, especially in emergencies like this, when we will be in teams at the last minute and may not even know who we are working with until we get to a situation. This simulates that."

"I see." Ida said. "I withdraw my question."

"Good now that that is over come here and pick a slip." All Might said as he held out a box with slips of paper that had a letter on them to designate which team a student was on. "And find your partner. The exception will be young Dupain-Cheng and young Agreste who will be Team K."

The class, with the exception of Adrien and Marinette, all stepped forward to take their slips of paper. In short order the teams were chosen and were as such: Team A: Uraraka and Midoriya, Team B: Todoroki and Shoji, Team C: Yaoyorozu and Mineta, Team D: Bakugo and Ida, Team E: Aoyama and Ashido, Team F: Sato and Koda, Team G: Kaminari and Jiro, Team H: Tokoyami and Asui, Team I: Ojiro and Hagakure, Team J: Kirishima and Sero, Team K: Dupain-Cheng and Agreste.

Marinette just smiled as the teams paired up to talk, or in Mineta's case lust after Yaoyorozu and thank all the gods that he knew for the pairing, while Uraraka got close with Midoriya and celebrated that they were on a team while his blush could be seen through his mask. She had already seen how close the pair had gotten on the first day, saving each other's lives in the entrance exam would do that, and Marinette knew that that closeness would make them a formidable team in the future once they trained up and got used to it.

Of course, none of the people here had anything on her and Adrien when it came to working as a team, they didn't even need to discuss things to be ready for this. In terms of raw power, Bakugo and Todoroki had them beat but with teamwork, Marinette doubted any could beat them in this trial right now. Add in that none of them knew what Adrien's Quirk was and she knew that they had the edge today.

"And our first matchup is." All Might said pulling two orbs, one each from the heroes and villains' boxes. "Team A as the heroes and Team D as the villains. Those teams to your starting places. Everyone else to the observation room so we can watch them."

Marinette could help but get excited for the coming match. Fate had decided that Midoriya and Bakugo would face off against each other in the first battle with them in fitting roles for it, so this was going to be good. She intended to watch the battles fully to get a sense for how her classmates worked and she knew that Adrien would do the same. They would then break everyone down when they got home that night so that they had a fill sense for how good their class was at the start of their heroic journey together.

"And begin." All Might said over an intercom as soon as once everyone was settled in the observation room and looking at the bank of screens showing the impending battle.

"Assessment bugaboo." Adrien whispered in French to her as they watched.

"This will come down to two things." Marinette responded sticking to French for the moment as other conversations broke out amongst them. "Bakugo's grudge with Midoriya being increased by Midoriya's display yesterday clouding the former's judgement and how the latter handles his power. Those two will duke it out in this battle, the former's pride is at stake, so he'll be the one to initiate it. It will be interesting to see how Midoriya counters it with his current control levels."

"Agreed." Adrien said as Bakugo shouted at Ida and left him to guard the bomb as he went find Midoriya and Ida got into the character of an over the top but still accurate villain for the exercise. "I think he has the tactical mind to counter that while also using Uraraka's Quirk and abilities to their advantage."

Marinette nodded as they watched to see what happened. The battle itself unfolded roughly as she expected it would. Bakugo went straight for Midoriya, destroying a good portion of his costume in the process but not doing as well as he could have as Midoriya predicted his opening attack. He was yelling insults, but Marinette watched as Midoriya got the first hit in and owned Bakugo's insult thanks to Uraraka's changing of it, another reason why that team would go far. That though clearly pissed Bakugo off even more and he quickly adapted to the change.

Adrien noticed that this seemed to be a tactic as Midoriya brought all of Bakugo's attention on him and allowed Uraraka to go up to find the bomb, though Ida had prepared for her Quirk. He was also getting way too into character in the scenario to the point that it actually caused Uraraka to laugh and reveal herself to him. During all of this Bakugo revealed what his gauntlets were for, they stored his explosive sweat so that he could fire off a blast beyond what his body could handle, and nearly destroyed the building. That got a stern warning from All Might but forced the battle to a new room.

"It's coming to a head." Marinette whispered as she noticed that Midoriya and Bakugo's battle was a few floors beneath where Ida and Uraraka were now talking but staying at opposite ends of the room. "This will decide it and I feel like everything is falling into place for one of them."

Adrien nodded as he saw Midoriya give a command to Uraraka over the communicators each pair were provided before charging Bakugo. It looked like they would clash and Midoriya was preparing to punch his childhood bully with One for All at full power. Then, at the last moment, he punched up and used the air pressure from a full powered punch to destroy the floors above him and the roof of the building as well right as Bakugo unleashed an explosion into Midoriya's face though he'd used his other arm to protect himself from it.

This gave Uraraka the opportunity to make a broken pillar weightless and smack debris that Midoriya had cause at Ida in a baseball swing. The attack was improvised but clearly what Midoriya had planned and the move incapacitated Ida long enough for Uraraka to make herself weightless and jump over the gap to hug the bomb.

"Team A has secured the bomb." All Might announced to the stunned class. "They win this battle."

The waiting room erupted in cheers as Marinette watch Bakugo's pride shatter at the loss and Midoriya whisper something to him before collapsing to the side out cold from the pain he was clearly in. It was clear his arm was broken, the other burned and he'd be out for the rest of class as Recovery Girl healed him again. The others were told to report back to the observation room for debrief.

The debrief was short and simple. Marinate had to agree with Yaoyorozu's assessment as to why Ida was the MVP despite losing and it showed that they all had to take this seriously, not that Marinette and Adrien wouldn't when their turn came. The training had started out interesting and they knew it would get more so as the day went on.

The next match was not interesting though. It was between Team B as the heroes and Team I as the villains. Marinette already knew that this was a mismatch from the start based on who was in the match. Hagakure had great stealth being invisible and at close combat Ojiro was one of the best with his martial arts background and how his tail unpredictably factored into it, but they were up against Todoroki. Add in Shoji's scouting abilities with his Dupli-Arms and they had a balanced team but in all fairness there was only one person in control of this match.

That was evident from the very start when Todoroki ordered Shoji out of the building before he placed his hand on a wall just inside the building and froze it, as well as a completely invisible Hagakure and Ojiro as he guarded the bomb before they could react. From there he just walked to the bomb to secure it and win. It was clear they were outclassed from the very start and match showed the gap between a recommended student and one who got in normally. Though no one noticed, Todoroki's display really hit Bakugo as the explosive boy realized that Todoroki was currently better than him.

"Alright and up next." All Might said, after Todoroki unfroze the building with his left side and the brief debrief that was basically Todoroki was the MVP, as he drew the next set of balls out. "Team K as the heroes and Team C as the villains. Take your starting places and await my order to begin."

Marinette and Adrien waited to let Yaoyorozu and Mineta go first to set up and then followed them to the building that had been designated for their first battle trial. Each match was in a different building due to the destructive nature of some of the Quirks in the class, as well as the fact that many of them still weren't used to avoiding destruction, and as such they got a few minutes to prepare, both for the villains to defend the bomb and the heroes to get ready to search for it.

"Let's stick to French for this." Marinette said in their native tongue and keeping her voice low as she looked at the standard townhouse style building in front of them. "Yaoyorozu is the smartest in the class, I wouldn't put it past her to bug this place as she and Mineta walked in to set up. She may know some French, it is still a useful language and she's obviously fluent in English so it wouldn't be a stretch for her to speak French as well, but we can't control that."

"Agreed." Adrien said. "So, you have a plan m'lady?"

"I'll go high, and you go low but keep those sharp eyes of yours open for traps from either of them." Marinette said looking up to the roof. "Mineta, as perverted as he is, is one of the best in the class at subduing an enemy and Yaoyorozu's Quirk is the most versatile so with her brain she could easily set traps. They won't be able to stop you."

"Of course not bugaboo." Adrien said with a grin. "I only fall for traps that I don't see coming."

"True and we know what our enemies can do this time." Marinette said with a nod. "Anyway, once I'm on the roof I can create what I need to see where the villains are. From there I will direct you over the communication things we have for this. On my signal, we burst in together. Entry will be up to us though."

"Agreed though we have one problem." Adrien said and cringing at what he had to say. "Mineta's balls will stick us and while he may not think about trapping us on the way to the bomb given what will be distracting him, he will have set them up for the bomb as Yaoyorozu will realize that much at least. I can destroy them I think but I'll probably need my power to bust in and then I can face them with my staff. As strong as I am, there's no way that Yaoyorozu won't fortify the door so that even my strength can't break it down."

"I'll know more once I get a sight on them, but I understand that, save Cataclysm until the right moment." Marinette said before getting a serious tone in her voice. "Regardless, in this match I am going to handle Mineta. He needs a woman to put him in his place so I will show him not to mess with us girls."

"Agreed." Adrien said with a grin, it was the best strategy, and he was by far the better of the pair to handle Yaoyorozu. "Let's see if they are ready for us. Time to find out what these heroes can do and see if they stack up to us."

Marinette just grinned back. They didn't need to say anymore, they knew what was coming. It was time to show their class what they could really do.

"So, what's the plan?" Mineta asked Yaoyorozu as they entered the building and made their way to the room where the bomb was his eyes never leaving her fine ass or barely covered tits as they walked. "You must have one. You seem to understand this best."

"First off, I'm creating a series of mini bugs for us to use to listen to them as they prepare and make their way through the building to where they'd been told the bomb was." Yaoyorozu said doing her best to ignore the class pervert's gaze on her body as she spoke. "That will give us the advantage at the start. Knowledge is power and the one who knows more usually wins in situations like this."

"I get that, but we will still need to stop them." Mineta pointed out as they reached the room and Yaoyorozu closed the door to see that they were in a large room with the bomb at one end, two windows on the exterior wall and nothing else. "My balls are great for that. They're probably the best capture Quirk in the class other than maybe Sero's tape."

"What do they do?" Yaoyorozu asked as she created a pair of transceivers for them to listen to her bugs and gave one to Mineta before turning to the door and deciding how she should fortify it to prevent the French duo's clear strength advantage from breaking it down. "I should know so that I can plan for it."

"They stick to anything or anyone that touches them." Mineta said. "And they can't break free until they disappear about an hour or so later and the stickiness varies depending on what I've done prior to removing my balls. The exception is me; I bounce off them. Also, they grow back instantly though if I do it too fast my scalp bleeds."

"Ok I'm going to block this door with concrete while you surround that bomb and the other half of the room from the second window to the wall with a field of balls." Yaoyorozu said as she began to form strong concrete blocks and place them in front of the door and then stack them there, making sure that the creation was such that the blocks were stable and able to interlock so they couldn't just be knocked over. "Make it so that we can just knock them into the balls and win that way, but I also want you to start throwing them as soon as the pair enter to try and stop them early."

"Can do." Mineta said as he began to create a purple ball minefield around the bomb on the floor, walls, the second window, and ceiling so that it would be impossible for anyone to approach except by leaping at it. "Why are you blocking the door?"

"I remember on the test that both Agreste scored high on strength, above average for a human but not at the level of a Quirk." Yaoyorozu said as she kept up creating until the door was fully blocked. "That way he won't be able to break it down and these walls are solid, I don't think he can break through them."

"But what of their Quirks?" Mineta asked. "Dupain-Cheng has something similar to yours and Aizawa said that he couldn't assess Agreste's, that is worrying."

"While I don't know the precise details, Dupain-Cheng's Quirk is a creation one but instead of choosing her item it is random but always appears to be just what she needs." Yaoyorozu said her brow furrowing at that as she recalled how the French girl had used her Quirk the day before. "At least that's what it seems to be, I'll ask her afterwards as we are similar. I recall all the items that she made during the assessment weren't what I would make, other than the clamp, but turned out to be perfect to maximize her scores."

"That sounds really strong." Mineta said. "And random. Can we prepare for that?"

"I can." Yaoyorozu said with pride in her voice as she was able to reveal her plan that would see them victorious. "That is the other reason why I'm blocking the door. I'm going to force her to use her Quirk to burst through the wall. She can only use it once before having to recharge, at least I think so based on the fact that she kept eating between tests yesterday which must be how she recharges, and she showed fatigue after using it too much. This will force her to use it early and not against us."

"Ah that is clever." Mineta said. "Any clue on Agreste's Quirk though, that is the one that not even Mr. Aizawa could test. What could it be?"

"I honestly have no idea what it is other than what it's called on the records, which is Cataclysm, so it's the complete wildcard in this battle but I have a few theories." Yaoyorozu agreed as the transceiver crackled but all she heard was hushed voices speaking in hushed, rapid, French. "Damn, I think one of them predicted my spy craft. They're smart for sure."

"Do you know any French?" Mineta asked as he too listened to the conversation, but he had no idea what they were saying.

"A bit but nowhere near proficiency and these are two native speakers, there is no way I can understand them." Yaoyorozu said with a frown and realizing that she was going to have to use her near photographic memory to learn the language of the transfer students as fast as possible, it was the right thing to do as a representative of Japan and how they'd learned her language fluently already. "So, we need to be ready. My plan is still a solid one and we can use the devices to track where they may be in the building and when they fail to open the door we'll know Dupain-Cheng is about to use her Quirk and be ready for them. Stand in front of your balls, it's time to defeat some heroes."

"Agreed." Mineta said backing up, this was training so he'd curb his usual pervy nature for it but hopefully he could use it to get a glimpse or even feel of Yaoyorozu's boobs if the battle devolved, and he got a little creative at some point of course. "What's the plan with Agreste?"

"He's a complete wildcard." Yaoyorozu said uncomfortable at not knowing what he could do, she didn't like not knowing but she'd only checked his Quirk and not its description in the student directory, a mistake on her part that she intended to correct as soon as she got home. "No one knows what his Quirk can do as he hasn't shown it yet. I expect him to be the muscle though."

With that Yaoyorozu created a bo staff made out of a lightweight but durable metal allow she knew of for herself and held it ready to use it should the door somehow fall. It was time to show the class how good she was and why brains, and a powerful creation Quirk, allowed her to win.

"Begin." All Might said over the intercom.

As soon as All Might gave the command Marinette and Adrien moved. Adrien casually walked forward whistling and twirling his baton in his left hand as he entered the building, his night vision allowing him to easily see in the darkened interior as he scanned for any traps, going slow to allow Marinette to do her own job in the battle. She would be their eyes.

Marinette for her part backflipped from a standing point to land on top of a light post that was on the road in perfect balance before leaping up to the top of the building. She pulled her yo-yo off her belt and threw it up to lasso a chimney on the roof and pull herself up the rest of the way up as she couldn't quite make the top of the building, so she needed the wire to pull her the rest of the way. With a final flip, Marinette landed in a crouch on the roof scanning for anything, yo-yo spinning fast at her side, but she saw nothing. It looked like the roof was clear, that meant that it was time activate her Quirk.

"Lucky Charm." Marinette said holding her hand up, some habits died hard, and she was in her outfit so why not.

There was a flash of pink sparkles from her hand and above her a pair of high tech looking googles in a ladybug print appeared and fell into her hand. She looked at them confused before putting them on and flicking a switch she'd noticed on the side. She grinned when she saw that they were powerful and high-tech thermal imaging googles of some sort. Without hesitation, she backflipped to land on the chimney where she crouched and looked down. She could see through the building and was able to make out heat signatures in it thanks to humans being warmer than their surroundings.

"Cat Noir." Marinette whispered in French and using their hero names for the first time in months as it felt right to do so. "I can see them. My Lucky Charm gave me a pair of thermal googles. These things are great, they show people's heat signatures, but I can also see items and walls. Damn, my Quirk has really outdone itself this time."

"Excellent." Adrien said back over the com device. "Can you make out any traps for me?"

"No there are none." Marinette said as she scanned the house. "That's an oversight from Yaoyorozu, she'll chastise herself for that before All Might can but that is good for us. They are on the fourth floor, large room that takes up most of the floor and has only on door in the middle. Based on the size of the figure, Yaoyorozu is by the door which appears to be reinforced by something. Mineta is behind her and in front of the bomb. I can't quite tell but there are bound to be balls everywhere."

"That won't stop me, I know how I'll get in." Adrien said quietly as he made his way up the stairs softly using all his cat-like reflexes to avoid making a noise. "I'll deal with her and leave Mineta to you."

"Good, I know just what to do to beat him." Marinette said as she saw that he was standing in front of one of the windows. "This will be fun. Let me know when you're in position and on my command, activate Cataclysm."

"Will do m'lady." Adrien said as he reached the fourth floor.

On it was a landing, more stairs going up to the next floor and one door in the middle of the floor. He ignored the door as he faced the wall to the left of it that was nearer the top of the stairs. He had a feeling that if he went closer Yaoyorozu might realize something.

"I'm ready." Adrien said as softly as he could.

"Alright." Marinette said taking off the googles and putting them on her belt just in case as she hopped off the chimney and back onto the roof. "Activate it and bust through the wall. I'm going to make an entrance from outside. Windows are really useful for us"

With that Marinette ran at the edge of the building and leapt off it. She then turned in midair and lassoed the chimney with her yo-yo before arcing down and towards the fourth-floor window she needed to use to enter knowing that Adrien would do his own thing at the same time she did.

Adrien just grinned as he activated his Quirk, and his right hand was encased in the black energy of pure destruction. He then placed his palm on the wall, and it began to turn a brownish black and disintegrate. Time to show off what he could do.

"Any idea?" Mineta asked a little worried.

"It's hard to tell." Yaoyorozu said her brow furrowed and listening as hard as she could. "I think they've split up for some reason. I can only hear one person in the house and whoever it is, they are really quiet and soft on their feet. If I had to guess it's Dupain-Cheng but I have no idea what Agreste would be doing. Damn, I should have had you trap the building as we walked through it, or I should have."

"Oh yeah forgot." Mineta said but in his defense Yaoyorozu's fine ass and perfect, perk, voluptuous, gravity defying tits were a major distraction.

"We can take the blame for that later and own up to it in our debriefs." Yaoyorozu said. "I can't pinpoint the one in the house. That person is really light on their feet. Their training is unbelievable, I can't be…"

Yaoyorozu didn't get to finish her sentence before the wall next to the right of the door, the side that was nearer the top of the stairs, suddenly turned a strange brownish black color and disintegrated to dust starting from the point it began until the entire wall between the door and outer wall was gone. That had not been what she'd been expecting but with Dupain-Cheng's Quirk it made sense she could create something that would disintegrate the wall.

At least that was what Yaoyorozu thought until the wall completely fell away and Adrien Agreste walked calmly into the room twirling a baton in his left hand as a black energy faded from his right. She'd be utterly wrong, it hadn't been Dupain-Cheng who'd been creeping through the building, it had been Agreste, and his Quirk destroyed all her plans as quickly as it had destroyed the wall.

As Yaoyorozu was getting her bearing as to how Adrien had entered and what his Quirk was, it was not any of her theories as pure destructive energy wasn't one of them, but it did make sense now that she thought about it, the window next to Mineta exploded inward and Marinette swung into the room on her yo-yo's string feet first. Before any could react she'd finished her swing by using Mineta as a stopping point and kicking him into the floor and then into the wall.

"This is for trying to peak under mine and the other girls' skirts the other day." Marinette growled in Japanese as a barely conscious Mineta flew back to her after he'd ricocheted off the wall. "Consider this a warning, keep up your pervy behavior and us girls will show you why we're in the hero course."

With that Marinette leapt into the air and side kicked Mineta in the head knocking him out and into his own minefield pf balls. She'd activated the second half of her power at the last minute to make sure that the angle was right to keep him bouncing in the ball field he'd created but avoiding the bomb at the same time. It did mean that Marinette had to land and analyze her own approach with that aspect of her power as she tried to figure out a way around the bouncing, unconscious pervert to reach the bomb. She trusted Adrien to handle Yaoyorozu so left that to him.

"How?" Yaoyorozu asked as she backed up a bit and took an attack stance with her staff, ignoring what was going on with Mineta, there was no way he would be conscious after taking a hit like that. "I thought that my blocking of the door would force Dupain-Cheng to use her Quirk to get through it or the wall. I wasn't expecting the window meaning that she was on the roof likely with a surveillance device and certainly wasn't expecting that to be your Quirk even if it does make sense now that I look at it in hindsight."

"Well, you are right about where Marinette was and now you know what my Quirk can do." Adrien said with a grin as his baton suddenly enlarged to a staff to match Yaoyorozu's and he took a combat stance though not before he popped a protein cube in his mouth to recharge his Quirk. "It's called Cataclysm and allows me to create pure destructive energy in my hand. I can destroy anything inorganic that I touch with it so it can't be tested using standard metrics that Mr. Aizawa had on him yesterday. It also looks like I'm the worst possible matchup for you."

"I see, your destruction can negate my creation because I can only create inorganic items and you'd destroy them all." Yaoyorozu said. "So, we do this with staffs."

"Again, I have the training on you, as well as my strength." Adrien said as Yaoyorozu charged. "For what it's worth, your plan was a good one and against most others it would have worked. Me and Marinette are just too good a team though and we had unpredictability on our side. You're smart Yaoyorozu but no plan survives first contact, remember that."

As Adrien was speaking he was easily parrying Yaoyorozu's attacks though she was better than he expected with a staff then he'd expected. Still, he managed to use his greater reflexes to avoid some strikes, extend his staff again for greater reach, and counter her with a few precise hits to pressure points on Yaoyorozu's arms that made her drop the staff.

"I'm sorry but villains can't be allowed to win." Adrien said looking her in the eye as collapsed his staff back to a baton, he closed the gap, raised his foot and slammed it into Yaoyorozu's chest, unfortunately right into her airbags though they did cushion the blow. "And you've lost now."

Yaoyorozu only had time to realize how outclassed she'd been before she was hurled back from a kick that was way more powerful than expected, even with her natural chest blow absorption system, and into the wall hard enough to crack it, and possible some ribs and vertebrae, while driving the breath from her lungs. She slid down it and into a sitting position in a daze from the hit and all she could do now was watch her loss as Adrien approached her, looking at her face and not her chest the entire time, and used his capture tape to tie her wrists and ankles together to eliminate her.

As all of this was happening, Marinette was looking at the speeding Mineta and analyzing the pattern his limp body was taking. Then, as soon as she had it, she leapt forward and twisted past him before she flipped up to grab the top of the bomb with her left hand and hold it in a perfect upside-down, one-handed handstand. She then held out her right hand and grabbed Mineta's ankle as he passed her, spinning around the top of the bomb until she came to a stop still in her victory pose though now with an unconscious Mineta dangling from her other hand. It was a bit showy, but a hero had to be at times.

"Team K has secured the bomb and defeated the villains while also capturing them at the same time." All Might said over the intercom. "Wait there for the robots as I think Team C needs to see Recovery Girl after that."

Marinette bent her arm and used it to push off the bomb, flip, and spin to land where the broken glass was facing the door and the place where a wall used to be. She then carried Mineta, in the way she had been since she caught him and laid him on the ground where there was no glass to wait for medical attention.

"You are alright." Adrien asked Yaoyorozu as he broke off the bindings with ease. "I may have hit you a bit too hard at the end, sorry."

"I will be once I see Recovery Girl." Yaoyorozu said with a small smile as she got out a pained breath though it didn't feel like she'd broken anything, though the foot shaped bruise on her breasts was clearly visible. "That was some kick, I really stood no chance against it, didn't I?"

"I tried to hold back but I'm still getting use to my suit's enhancement of my already enhanced strength." Adrien said apologetically. "I would help you up but I'm not sure how injured you are, and you hit your back, I know enough first aid to not move a potential spinal injury."

"Bruised definitely but I agree, this is for the best." Yaoyorozu said. "I would like to ask you some questions later if that's ok with you. You beat me so thoroughly and I'd like a debrief on it as I will miss All Might's one of this battle."

"I'll stop by and make sure you're ok after class and we can chat then." Adrien said with a smile as 4 robots making anti human statements for some reason appeared to take Mineta and Yaoyorozu away. "Get healed up Yaoyorozu and don't feel bad, you had a good plan in theory but without knowing my Quirk you couldn't fully prepare."

Yaoyorozu just nodded as Marinette came over to Adrien and smiled at him after Mineta was loaded up and stretchered off. They didn't need to say anything. It was another successful victory for their team, their first in 230 years. It was time for their debrief and to see what their classmates thought of their performance.

"What are they planning?" Ochaco asked Ida as they watched Marinette and Adrien get ready for the trial.

"Not sure but this could be tough for them." Ida said holding his chin in thought having removed his helmet now that he was in the observation room. "Yaoyorozu is probably the best in the class right now due to her intelligence and her Quirk is really strong, so they have to counter that. She can be overpowered though but they'd need a tactic to reach her first and she would likely make that hard. I think Mineta's Quirk is also really good at capture as well, but I can't recall it well from yesterday as he only really used it on himself."

"Yeah it will be…" Ochaco began before All Might gave the begin order and she gasped at Dupain-Cheng's sudden athleticism at the start and landed on the top of the lamppost with a standing leap as if it was nothing. "Wow, that was impressive."

"She didn't show that off in the assessment test." Ida said as Dupain-Cheng leapt off the lamppost and swung her yo-yo. "She used her Quirk for the leaping tests though Agreste was close at times."

"She said her costume works with her inherited enhancements to make them even stronger so I can see that." Ochaco said. "Though I have never seen a yo-yo used like that. She did say she knew how to use it and I think she was understating her skill with it."

"Francois Dupont is known to teach use of a support weapon as one of their core philosophies along with their partner system and the whole secret identity stuff." Ida said, he'd read that the night before while researching the school the French kids had come from so he could be more versed in it. "And each is unique to the student as they design it themselves based on a series of tests to find what fits them best. It looks like Agreste uses a baton or staff as his weapon, there's no way that doesn't extent."

"True." Ochaco said surprised by the breathe of Ida's knowledge on their new friends' school as she watched Dupain-Cheng take stock on the roof and then activate her Quirk. "Still, it's impressive and that Quirk of hers is really good, what's she got?"

"They are likely some high spec thermal googles." Ida said recognizing them having seen a similar pair in his brother's agency that Tensei had for dealing with hostage situations when they had little intel and needed to plan their breach. "Her Quirk allows her to create a singular item to accomplish a task and that makes the most sense for what she's doing right now. Likely she decided that her task was to scout out and direct Agreste from there though with Yaoyorozu's obstruction of the door I don't see how he'll get into the room."

That was proven a moment later when Marinette flipped onto the chimney and balanced on it though how Ochaco didn't know, it was a narrow spot with an opening large enough for her legs to fall into, but the French girl didn't shake in the slightest. She was looking down and whispering too softly for the audio to pick up, not that they could tell what she was saying as she was almost certainly speaking in French and only Aoyama amongst them was fluent.

As she was doing this they watched Adrien creep upwards as light as a cat which surprised them. None of them expected the rather muscular boy to be so light on his feet but he was and soon he reached the floor that the villains were on. He then stood facing the wall to the left of the door.

"What's he…" Ida began before his eyes went wide as a pitch-black energy formed on Adrien's right hand, it was so black that even in the dim light they could see from the cameras they could tell it. "His Quirk, he's using it. We're finally finding out what it is."

"Another darkness user." Tokoyami said keenly watching Adrien now that he knew the French boy was similar to himself in a regard. "He's seen the abyss and not only come out stronger but made it bend to his will, admirable."

"But what does it…" Ochaco began ignoring the strange words from the bird headed boy before Adrien placed his hand on the wall and it began to corrupt and then disintegrated before their eyes. "Oh, that's what he can do. I can see why Mr. Aizawa couldn't test it yesterday."

"He did say that it was the opposite of Dupain-Cheng's in a sense, and it is the polar opposite for sure." Ida noted as he understood the exchange that Agreste and Aizawa had had. "There is no way what we did yesterday could have tested it at all. Still, that is a really useful Quirk in a situation like this seeing as he's completely destroyed the wall and avoided the blockage that Yaoyorozu created. It's also the perfect Quirk to face her, it completely negates her creation."

"Guys, check out Dupain-Cheng!" Mina said excitedly and they all looked in time to see her swing through the window having leapt off the roof and done something while they were watching Agreste reveal his Quirk. "Now that is how a hero enters."

"And deals with a pervert, ribbit." Tsu croaked as they watched Mineta get drilled into the floor, off the wall before Marinette leapt up yelling at the boy as she kicked him into the ball field he'd used to guard the bomb. "I think Marinette kicked him at such an angle that he won't touch the bomb which is really impressive."

"And into next week I think." Hagakure said with a squeal as she pumped a gloved fist into the air. "You go girl, show that perv what he gets if he messes with us ladies."

"Yes but now she has to avoid an unconscious Mineta." Ida said as they looked back to Adrien and Yaoyorozu who had engaged in a staff battle confirming his suspicion that Agreste's baton got bigger. "Plus, Yao…"

Ida didn't get to finish his statement before Adrien had effortless countered Yaoyorozu's attacks, disarmed her through a series of strikes to her arms that had to hurt, and kicked her into a wall in such a smooth sequence that there was no doubt he was familiar with his weapon intimately and really knew how to use it. The smartest girl in their class slid to the base of the wall and Adrien quickly restrained her to show that she was captured.

As that was happening they saw Marinette leap and grab the bomb while avoiding the Mineta missile in the process. Of course, she didn't do it normally and showed off with her upside-down pose before catching Mineta's leg and ending his bouncing.

"Damn and she and Agreste are dating." Kaminari noted enviously. "Lucky bastard to land such a woman."

"She's a lot stronger than I think any of us realized." Ochaco said her eyes wide at the skill of the French pair, they were truly on par with recommended students if not better as Agreste had just bested on, as All Might finished calling the match. "Same with Agreste, his Quirk is going to be hard to beat for any of us who creates things."

"They will be formidable; it is clear how efficient the system at their former school is and how in sync they are as partners thanks to it." Ida said with a nod as he wondered if U.A. should try something similar after what he just saw. "But we should note that this is just the first day and while they and Todoroki have set high bars, we are all aspiring heroes, we can get to their levels as well by using them as examples of what we need to surpass. They will motivate us."

"Right." Ochaco said as the robots appeared to take away Yaoyorozu and Mineta and Adrien and Marinette made their way back to the observation room for the tests to continue after their brief debrief.

After Adrien and Marinette's debrief, in which Adrien was named the MVP as he didn't let his emotions get the best of him like Marinette had, they settled in to watch the next few matchups. They were pretty even battles that showed off the Quirks of the other students well as they were all clearly motivated by the first three matches to do their very best as well.

Sometimes the heroes won, other times the villains did depending on how well the students worked in teams and the Quirks at play. There wasn't any as destructive as the first or dominant as the second. In addition, the French pair hadn't been picked again so it wasn't until the last matchup that they'd go again and this time they would be the villains in it which meant that the last remaining team would be the heroes.

"And last up we have Team G as the heroes against Team K as the villains." All Might said glad it was almost over as he was nearing his limit in his hero form and needed to let it drop soon. "Take your places."

Adrien and Marinette left first as they were the villains and jogged to the building where the bomb was to get there ahead of time to plan how they would defend it. They entered and quickly found the bomb on the top floor of a three-story, apartment style building. It was standing in the middle of the corner unit's living room. They quickly got there and took stock of what their situation and what they needed to do.

"Alright we are facing arguably the best scout in the class and one of the few with the power to bring us down in one go if he unleashes it all at once." Marinette said in French again to Adrien. "So, we need to divide and conquer them if we want to win this. That's our best plan."

"Agreed." Adrien said with a nod also sticking with French. "Jiro's hearing will allow her to pinpoint our location pretty much right off the bat, not even my cat-like stealth can evade her I think. After that they would come here and Kaminari can unleash all his electricity to take us down if we let then have their way, which we won't. The records said that he can discharge up to a million volts, not even these suits can handle that."

"No, he's a tricky one if he can get the attack off without us blocking it." Marinette said thinking as she came up with a plan. "But his power is how we will get him. I will handle Jiro; my Quirk can create something to negate hers, it can do so for Kaminari as well but she's a bigger threat to me. I need you to go now and close all the blinds in this building as fast as possible to plunge it into darkness and then head down to the basement and find the circuit breaker."

"I see." Adrien said realizing where Marinette was going with this and summarizing the rest without his lady's need to explain it to him. "Once I'm there, I will destroy it with Cataclysm as soon as I can. That will ensure that the building stays in darkness and that it can't be restored. Jiro won't need light to navigate but it will be useful given my costume and now known stealth skills, so she'll likely send Kaminari to restart the lights. I'll be upstairs by then to close the door to ensure full blackness and follow Kaminari from there."

"Exactly and then, when he's alone in the basement, you take care of him while I deal with Jiro." Marinette said with a grin. "As always kitty, nothing can stop us. Now get going and get rid of all the lights. The only windows open will be here so I can see as I don't have your enhanced senses."

Adrien just nodded before he turned and left the room to begin closing the blinds and get down to the basement, using his speed to do so as they waited for the start of the final battle. Marinette trusted her partner to get his part done and set herself up in front of the door ready to create something to negate, or at least mess with, Jiro's hearing. This was going to be interesting.

"So, what's the plan?" Kaminari asked as he and Jiro made their way to the start point and looked into the darkened corridor through the open front door. "We've seen the French duo in action, so we have some sense of their abilities and know how good they are."

"We do and it's not good for us." Jiro said. "Agreste's strength is near the top of the class, and we now know how powerful his Quirk is, but he might hold it back as it could be lethal, though I hope it isn't. We don't have anything he'll need to destroy though as neither of us create tangible things with our Quirks so that is a plus. Dupain-Cheng is the real tricky one, she's completely unpredictable and based off some of her creations yesterday she might not be the most linear thinker which adds to her unpredictability."

"That weird Quirk of hers seems a bit much." Kaminari said recalling what he'd heard of Dupain-Cheng's Quirk in their first debrief. "An item that allows her to complete a task she has in mind; she could just create what she needed to win and be done with that."

"I think it needs to be more specific than just vague victory." Jiro said with a slight shake of her head. "And I heard Uraraka mention that it has a time limit of about 5 minutes before it times out and she has to recharge. However, we know she'll use it. The pair are smart and seem to have made sure they know what we can do based on Agreste being the one to challenge Yaoyorozu in their earlier trial. Good thing for us is that we're both problems for her so she will have to choose to focus on one of us which gives the other the chance to take her down."

"That means our plan is simple, we should just go in a little and you do what Shoji did and use your Quirk to find them." Kaminari said. "Then we go for the bomb, and I fry them as they guard it. Agreste uses a metal staff, that is good for me because that will conduct my electricity. If they've split up you will know, and I can go after who isn't with the bomb while you get the bomb."

"It's a little simple but it should work." Jiro said as they got ready for the test. "We can't let them win again."

"Begin the final test." All Might said over an intercom.

"Let's go." Jiro said as they walked in on guard, and she put her right headphone jack to the wall the begin listening so that she could locate them in the building. "They're…ah!"

A high-pitched whining sound came through the walls at a frequency above normal human hearing but was well within Jiro's hearing and she retracted jack almost at once as she fell to her knees clutching her ears that were now ringing from the sound. So, it was her that Dupain-Cheng was countering, she took that as a bit of an honor as Marinette perceived her the bigger threat but still, that had not been pleasant.

"What is it?" Kaminari asked sounding worried.

"Dupain-Cheng's already targeting me." Jiro said as she go to her feet glad that her ears weren't bleeding before they made their way deeper into the building, not noticing Adrien in the darkness above them. "She's created some sorta speaker or sound generator that is letting out a whining sound throughout the building that the human ear can't pick up, but I can if my jack is in the wall. I can't scout them at the moment. She's using her Quirk to negate mine."

Suddenly the door closed plunging them into darkness. Instantly Kaminari created sparks of electricity in his hand to give them a little light as Jiro heard a faint sounds leaving the area that she could only hear due to her sensitive hearing, but she couldn't place where it went. She just reached for the wall and after a moment flicked the switch that she found there but nothing happened.

"They're dividing us." Jiro said deducing what happened and knowing that it had been Agreste who'd closed the door and who she'd heard retreating into the darkness, his costume a perfect camouflage for him. "They've turned off the power to force you to restart it so we can see as I can't scout with Dupain-Cheng's Quirk active. However, the breaker has to be in the basement which isn't where the bomb will be."

"Why are they doing that?" Kaminari asked.

"I'm not sure but let's play into it and ruin their surprise for us." Jiro said with a grin that looked eerie in the little light from Kaminari's sparks, her face markings only adding to it. "Go downstairs and find the breaker to restart it so that we can see. If you notice anything, unleash and take the villain out. I'll go upstairs slowly and try and find Dupain-Cheng while waiting her time limit out as we should have more than 5 minutes to beat them or secure the bomb. She's almost certainly the one guarding it."

"So Agreste is mine." Kaminari said with a grin of his own. "So be it. This probably isn't a good idea though."

"Sometimes there will be multiple locations of villains so we need to divide to face who we can, especially if we are better suited for some of them based on the intel we have and we have some right now." Jiro said. "And I have a trick to handle Dupain-Cheng that no one has seen yet because it's part of my costume."

"Alright but be safe." Kaminari said. "She's a lot stronger than she looks. We saw how powerful her legs are earlier."

"As is Agreste." Jiro said as they split up. "So, fry him quick, he'll be able to take it I expect but it will knock him out."

Kaminari just nodded as he kept his hand sparking while he moved to the stairs down to the basement and went down them. He was careful though and kept his whole body covered in a low amount of electricity as a defensive shield just in case. If Agreste tried anything he'd been in for a shock enough to stun him for a follow up discharge that Kaminari knew would take the French boy down.

It didn't take Kaminari long to reach the basement and find the breaker. He could restore the lights easily from it without using up any of his electricity as it was likely just a simple switch. There was one problem though. The breaker hadn't been turned off or tampered with as he'd expected. No, it had been utterly destroyed and lay in a pile of brownish black rubble and dust on the floor just as the wall had earlier when Agreste had destroyed it to reach Yaoyorozu and Mineta. That was not a good sign and Kaminari was about to turn when he sense sparks fly off him which could only mean one thing.

"Agreste." Kaminari said leaping to the side as he turned to see a staff fly at him before it impacted the wall, his sparks being attracted to the metal of it being his only warning of the impending attack, but the staff was metal which meant that Kaminari had the edge now. "You missed."

He barely managed to grab it as it was retracted but he did, and he send a charge along it back to its holder causing him to drop the staff and be zapped backwards. This was his time to shine and in the small basement against someone with above average human strength he could let lose.

"You're mine!" Kaminari yelled as he unleashed all his stored electricity. "Indiscriminate shock, 1.3 million volts!"

Adrien jolted back and into the wall from the electricity that flew up his staff the moment Kaminari touched it. It wasn't a full discharge, but it was enough to act like a good shock and cause him to drop the staff as he was sent backwards from the zap. It was only as Kaminari began to glow that Adrien knew he had to leap up and try and stay in the air as long as possible.

"You're mine!" Kaminari yelled as he unleashed all his stored electricity. "Indiscriminate shock, 1.3 million volts!"

Adrien was already in the air avoiding the shock as the electricity didn't go into the air but rather seemed to pour off Kaminari and over the ground. It was a good attack and given the voltage more than enough to take him down, but it missed due to being directionless and not in the air, and Adrien landed on all fours to look at his opponent. He could still feel the tingle of the electricity in the air though which was impressive.

"Yeah…" Kaminari said his mouth open and his eyes vacant as he drooled where he stood.

"Huh, he really does go stupid when he discharges all that electricity, I didn't actually think that would happen." Adrien said picking up his staff from where he dropped it and ridding out a final involuntary twitch from the electrical shock he'd gotten from his classmate. "I'll give it to him; this was a good idea, and he even landed a hit on me that I felt. Only my cat-like reflexes saved me in the end and that first shock still tingles slightly. He needs to learn to save enough to not go stupid after one attack though or at least train up so that his short-circuit voltage limit is higher."

Adrien just sighed as he collapsed his staff back to baton form, put it in the holder on the back of his belt and walked up to Kaminari. He was glad that Mage had taught him and Marinette pressure points to knock someone out quickly and safely just in case they needed it and he would now as that was the only way he could get rid of Kaminari painlessly.

With a squeeze of the right point, Adrien caused the other boy to pass out. He then easily hauled Kaminari over his shoulder with no visible strain and brought him upstairs to leave him outside to recover from both the short-circuiting and the pressure point pass out. He would leave Jiro to Marinette. She would have it well in hand, but he would still head up to watch from the shadows just in case Jiro surprised them. After all, they had to win this.

Jiro counted the seconds in her head to get a rough sense of the time she moved up the stairs and checked each room to see if Dupain-Cheng was in them. She didn't need to go in, just put her ear to the door and let her enhanced hearing listen for breathing or anything. That would indicate where the other girl was.

It took 6 minutes to reach the third and final level at her current pace which was good as Jiro was now able to use her Quirk to find the French duo and groaned at what she heard. She found someone downstairs heading softly to the stairs and she knew it had to be Agreste and he was coming for her. Kaminari had failed so it was all on her. Thankfully, she had found Marinette who was in the corner unit on this level and ready for her, so she'd reach her quarry before Agreste reached her. It was time to show the French girl what she could do.

Jiro moved to stand in front of the door and then plugged her jacks into the speakers on her boots. As soon as she was there she used her heartbeat to send out powerful waves of sound right at the door blasting it off its hinges with her heartbeat distortion move. No one had seen that yet as far as she knew so it should throw Dupain-Cheng a bit.

"Not bad Jiro." Marinette said as she batted the door to the side with her off hand causing it to crash into the wall and splinter, her yo-yo spinning in her right as she began to slide back slightly from Jiro's attack. "But how will you beat me now? I have a way to block your soundwave attack."

"My heartbeat will push you back villain." Jiro said though she was starting to panic a little as Marinette brough her yo-yo to spin at a really fast rate in front of her and act as a windbreak against Jiro's heartbeat showing just how strong the French girl was. "You can't hold out forever."

"I think not." Marinette said as she slowly moved forward one step at a time while using her yo-yo as a shield though it was like walking through mud. "You need more powerful speakers or a way to safely increase your heartbeat I think."

"How do you make that damned yo-yo spin so fast." Jiro grunted as she forgot about anything else and focused on beating Dupain-Cheng, she was so close to, all she needed to do was blast her off her feet and she could rush the bomb behind the other girl. "It shouldn't be possible."

"Practice, I did say I could use it as a weapon, but I can also use it as a shield though it requires the strength boost my costume provides to get it to this point." Marinette said as she neared Jiro. "And for what it's worth, I'm sorry for this."

Without stopping her spin, Marinette used her off hand to punch under the yo-yo and into Jiro's gut as soon as she was in range, using Jiro's focus on her heartbeat to ensure she landed the hit. The punk girl doubled over with a cough and almost vomited from the force and her jacks reflexively retracted from her boots as her concentration broke thus ending her attack. The last thing she before the world went black was Dupain-Cheng's knee before it slammed into her forehead knocking her out cold and laying her on her back in the hallway.

"I'll make it up to you, promise." Marinette said as she made sure Jiro was just out cold and had nothing worse than a serious bruise on her forehead and likely a concussion from the hit. "Your heartbeat attack is good; you should look into specialty speakers and something more mobile though to really maximize it."

"The heroes have been defeated." All Might said through the intercom. "The villains have won. Those still standing please return to the observation room for their debrief before class is dismissed. The others will be taken to Recovery Girl."

Marinette still waited for the robots to take away Jiro before returning to find Adrien waiting for her outside and they began to make their way back to the observation room for final debriefs. It had been a fun day and Marinette had learned a lot about her classmates from the battles that had been conducted. It showed that they all had potential to grow, and she couldn't wait for what the year to come would bring them.

I think I'll leave it off there, feels like a good place to end it. For those wondering my logic in this chapter, I wanted to maximize Adrien and Marinette's chances to show off so I had them go twice as a sorta test to show what they could do and further solidify their backstory with the partner program at Francois Dupont. As such they were the pair to go twice and thus make up the numbers. I also wanted the Mineta seen and as Team C were the villains against Team G in the anime the latter got to be the heroes against the Miraculous duo. The rest went as the canon dictated they went. Coming up the aftermath of the battle trial with a few more chats as Adrien and Marinette continue to further integrate into their new lives. However, that is all I have for y'all so I will leave it here for now. If you like it or have any questions please let me know in reviews or PMs, I will try to answer them as best I could and post any questions asked between uploads at the start of the next chapter and do follow and favorite this, so you are alerted to future uploads. Do keep the reviews coming as I like hearing from y'all as you enjoy my work, it motivates me to keep producing the best work I can for y'all to enjoy. Until next time.
